I experienced tooth pain two days prior to a long trip out of town. Dr. Wachuta at Gentle Smiles Denver was able to find me an appointment on the same day and after an x-ray and evaluation he was ready to treat me. I’m now leaving for my trip with peace of mind and, yes, no pain! Very thankful!

Front desk employees were not wearing masks when I walked in with my three year old son for his appointment, so we left. They said they “just take them off to drink their coffee.” Looked more like they just put them on when somebody comes in. Very angry. I’ve gone here for several years and always really liked the dentist and hygienists but not always wearing a mask while working at a dentist’s office right now, where patients have to take off their masks so the dentist can access their mouth, is ridiculous.

This was by far the most dental work I’ve had to do in one sitting (4 teeth with huge cavities on both sides) and I was pretty embarrassed it had gotten to this point honestly… but Everyone here made the process very smooth and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome! I was really nervous and felt very awkward being so young with cavities this size, but everyone was really friendly and seemed to be understanding. The doctor totally numbed me and made sure I was numb enough before proceeding (which I’ve had many issues with other places). He explained what needed to be done and made sure everything was satisfying in the end. I didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable at any point, I definitely highly recommend this office for any dental needs!

Everyone was kind and patient with me. They are indeed a “gentle “ dentist. I have been going to this practice for at least 25 years and have never been disappointed.

Friendly, comfortable way to go

Dentists are scary, at least to me. Kaylee, the kind person at the receptionist desk, went over and above to not only make me feel comfortable but, due to a scheduling issue, saved me a sizeable amount of money through my insurance. I cant say Im excited to return, but this is the place, for sure. 5 stars all day long.Update - These guys are still great. I spent no time waiting and the procedure, while simple, was over before I knew it. Totally painless.

I needed a root canal and crown and was definitely not looking forward to the procedure. It was handled very gently, professionally and with incredible results. Cleaning and xrays went well. The dental associate did a good job and was very knowledgeable on the questions I asked.

I woke up on a Thursday with an excruciating toothache that put me on the verge of going to the ER. Luckily I discovered Gentle Smiles. I was in the Golden office that afternoon for pain relief, and in the Denver office Friday morning for a Root Canal. Both offices were exceptional and allowed me to feel comfortable going to the dentist.

Great staff. Mark the dental hygienist was awesome. Great clean facilities. Everyone made me feel comfortable. Nearly a 5 star experience. The only reason Im only giving a 4 star is I had to get a referral to another dentist to fix my situation. As a consumer having to go to two places instead of one is not preferable. Great dentist office though.

I had a very positive experience at the Wheat Ridge office. Dr. Wachuta is very personable and explained the progress and status of how well the procedure was going as he went along. He took several X rays during the procedure to ensure that all of the canals had been successfully cleaned. Liz, his assistant, and Brie and Marie and the other staff have all been very friendly and helpful.

Been going to Gentle Smiles for the last 15 years. Never have had a problem with them as Ive had a root canal, 2 crowns and no complications from any of the dental work. They come highly recommended by me. Most recently I went in for cleaning and they discovered a small cavity which they said they could fill while I was in there for my cleaning. I took them up on it as it would prevent me from having to come back in.I would highly recommend gentle smiles for your dental needs.

I’m not sure where to start ! Instead of looking around after a series of negative dental experiences somewhere else I took a long break from “the dentist” in general. I wish I had known about Dr. Wachuta and his staff at Gentle Smiles years ago. I walked in to the comfy spa like waiting room (irrationally) terrified to open my mouth. The front desk staff were welcoming and professional. I got a painless thorough cleaning and exam and even a relaxing education on oral health throughout the process. Today I came back and saw Dr. Wachuta and assistant Lizzy for fillings which went seamlessly without a hitch. They were calm , attentive, compassionate, caring, and skilled. Before this appointment I was worried that between nerves and having a mouth that doesn’t numb easily I was going to have to be sedated to get any work done. Great news - no sedation necessary and no pain ! I never thought I’d say this (but changed my mind after finding this place) - I now enjoy going to the dentist ! It’s no big deal. Thank you Dr Wachuta, Assistant Lizzy, and staff at Gentle Smiles. It feels so good to get back on track with my oral hygiene and will keep coming back. Highly recommend.

I brought my husband in for an emergency root canal. I called and they fit us in same day (I would not use this as a point of reference as Im sure scheduling varies, but it was extremely beneficial for us). We were seen immediately, informed of pricing and payment options. My husband was taken care of timely and professionally and said he has never been treated so well by a dentist before (Dr. Wachuta). We would happily return here for dental work.

This was one of the first dentists I went to after coming to the US (Im from the South Pacific). They made me feel comfortable and relaxed and explained all the processes and costs very well. As for me, they provide the best service and Ill be sticking with them.

Very friendly and professional staff, with skilled dental hygienists, who can clean my teeth without making them cold sensitive for the next week. I started coming to this Gentle Smiles location and seeing Dr. Wachuta years ago when I attended DU, and then stopped when I moved to D.C. for work. After moving back to the Denver area last year, and looking for dentists closer to where I live and work (Lakewood/Littleton), I decided to come back to Gentle Smiles even though its a bit of a longer drive. They dont have all the high tech gadgets of my dentists office in the D.C. area (who was also excellent), but the quality of overall care and service is still quite high, and after a visit, my teeth are just as clean.

I like everyone at Gentle Smiles. I haven’t seen Dr. Wachuta lately, but the new girls are just fine with me. Good music too

I have been going to Gentle Smiles for 9 years now and I have received only the best service. They are always great with communication and great dental work. And this is coming from someone who has had copious amount of work done and my teeth feel and look great.

After having a terrible experience (over-charged and under-diagnosed) at one of those chain dental care providers, I switched to Gentle Smiles hoping for more genuine care. I have been a patient there for about 5 years now and have not been disappointed. The dental hygienists have all been friendly and were so supportive my first visit when I shared I had a bit of PTSD from my prior care. Dr. Wachuta is polite, friendly and efficient, and unlike my previous experience, I have never had reason to believe I have been charged for services I did not need. I visited Dr. Kelsey Appleby for a few fillings today. Dr. Kelsey and all of the staff I encountered were professional, efficient, and friendly (despite my anxiety!). Other than the initial pinch of anesthetic, I felt no pain or discomfort whatsoever. The procedure hardly took any time at all and the fillings appear to be seamless, blending in with my teeth perfectly. Im incredibly impressed and look forward to returning for my next cleaning!

I am 55 yo, who has always feared dentists, I had my teeth extracted by another Dentist, and dentures were made, I went in for a fitting and the Dentist *** hole, well any way I went to Gentle Smiles on Colorado Blvd, I was treated with Honesty, Respect, and Top Notch Care, I had my dentures relined and they fit like a glove, I have to learn to chew again, but with the new Teeth I will be able to. Thank you for allowing me to be able to SMILE again. I will and have given my recommendation to several people, to go and see Dr. Wachuta.

I have been to Gentle Smiles several times now and my experience has been very positive. For a person who was afraid to go to the dentist, till now and then have a comforting and pleasant experience each time with knowledge of what is wrong with my teeth, how they fixed them and the understanding of what my insurance covers and what it doesnt. So i had 2 teeth that needed crowns. Insurance (medicaid) approved one. I could not afford the other and was planning on waiting. The day of the apt to do 1 crown (on the approved tooth) their computers were down. Work began on the tooth that was not approved but could use a crown in the future. They did not make me aware they were working on the wrong one until it was almost done! Ok well what am i supposed to do at that point. They then began on the originally approved tooth. Upon leaving i had 2 temp crowns. And they started to act like it was my fault. I am a full time student so initial thought was to pay the difference but i didnt have $500 plus hanging out in my bank. But that one that wasnt approved (which they did 1st) could have waited until i had it in my budget. So now i have a outstanding bill for their mistake. Total bait and switch feeling. It has taken me almost a year to want to approach this as nothing is their fault. They call and leave messages asking if a change in apt time is ok and to call them back if it is only to arrive the next day at the original time to be told you no called no showed. The one good thing i can say is the guy who did my deep cleaning was phenomenal though he was nice and efficient.

Thorough cleaning, friendly staff. Doc reviewed anothers rec and suggested against spending a ton of money. Really happy with Gentle Smiles so far, havec avity fillings next week. Its hard to say I cant wait for my next dental work but Im actually looking forward to it here .

They are the worst. No time with a dentist. Did not make me feel comfortable. Told me my insurance would cover it and slapped me with a 300 dollar bill almost a year later

Yesterday was mine and my daughters first time ever going there. When you first walk in the two receptionist ladies are completely rude!! The hygienist was great and I really liked her! They told me that my daughter needed a filling and that they could do it right away , which was great. They had me sign a paper with the estimate cost and when the dentist was doing the filling she then told me “oh it’s going to be a pulpotomy and cost more”. At this point I couldn’t say no because she already started so that’s whatever. Then when to came to paying they charged me for a filling and a pulpotomy on one tooth. I asked why am I being charged for a filling AND the pulpotomy for one tooth and one procedure again the receptionist had been rude the entire time and didn’t get a clear answer from the dentist. She drew on a sticky note what she did to my daughters teeth but still didn’t answer why I was being charged both a filling and a pulpotomy for one tooth/one procedure. Long story short I will not go back or referral anyone here which is a shame because other then the two receptionist and the shading billing I did like the hygienist and sort of liked the dentist.

Dr. Wachuta and his whole team are great. I appreciate that they are a back to basics dentist office. If you want the fancy lasers and being pressured into treatment costing hundreds or thousands of dollars, then go somewhere else. Dr. Wachuta is friendly, efficient, and an excellent dentist. He is the fourth dentist I have tried since moving to Denver and I finally found someone I can trust. I wont be switching again. Thanks Dr. Wachuta! Go Badgers!

Recently, I had to have an implant and Dr. Wachuta was able to get me in immediately to an oral surgeon and then followed all my care until I came back to him for the crown. It was a stressful time and the staff did a great job explaining things to me throughout the process. I have also had other dental work done there throughout the years and I have always felt supported, listened to and, almost like family, everyone calls you by name and knows exactly whats going on !
