This is the best dentist I have ever visited! I’ve been going here since I moved to Denver over two years ago. Dr. Lopez has corrected other dentists’ poor work and left me feeling better than ever about the state of my teeth. The staff are always super friendly and Dr. Lopez has excellent bedside manner. Jackie was my hygienist the last time I went and I’ve never had my teeth cleaned so well! UPFD has made what was once an intimidating, painful experience one that is comfortable and welcoming.

Doing Invisalign at this office has seriously been such an amazing experience, the staff did such an amazing job explaining the whole process and I’m only halfway through and already so happy with the results!

My husband had a root canal here and it took five and a half hours because there was only one dentist working and he kept leaving my husband to work on other patients. By the end of the procedure, my husband wasnt numb anymore and felt everything. Worst customer service/ respect for my husbands time.

Simply put: this was the best dental experience Ive had in over ten years. I was anxious at first but the staff was welcoming and did not shame me for my poor dental history. They were comforting and made me feel more confident in my choice in seeking dental care at this location. I already have a follow up appointment scheduled and intend to make this my primary dental care physician. Wow! Love University Park Family Dental. Dr. Avery and Cody and everyone else that has made my experience great! I had my cleaning and fillings done here as well as internal bleaching on my front tooth. I have always been very self conscious about my front tooth being more yellow than the others and Dr. Avery told me he could fix it with internal bleaching. I was so excited but i don’t think i was prepared for the big difference it made! Also, after the root canal and internal bleaching I got a personal call from Dr. Avery to check on how i was doing. I am so pleased with this place!

My husband and I were looking for a new lifelong dentist and we found it with Dr. Lopez! His staff is so caring and remember us and things happening in our lives every time we visit. They make everything as comfortable as possible with every procedure, big and small. I particularly love that they take actual photos (not just x-rays) of your teeth and show you what they look like from the inside of your mouth. From the waterfall in the middle of the exam rooms to dark glasses and Netflix provided to ease anxiety, this must be the calmest dental office in Denver. We love this dentist and will continue to be patients here as long as we are able.

Ive had my teeth cleaned here twice and just had 3 fillings replaced and another cavity filled. They are fantastic with their patients. This was the easiest and most painless filling Ive ever had. They also set you up with a movie during the procedure which is obviously nice, but also went a long way to calm me down (I like needles and drills in my mouth as much as the next person). Id strongly recommend Dr. Lopez.

I WAS very happy with Dr. Lopez and his staff initially as a first time patient to have my teeth cleaned last year. I got a very warm welcome and the office is warm and inviting as is the staff. Theyre very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very well while I was there and they made me feel very at home.HOWEVER, that being said.I cannot attest to their customer service skills. I have been calling the office for at least two weeks regarding a lost filling and Im currently sitting here with a hole in my tooth. I havent been asked if Id like to make an appointment, nor have my questions been answered regarding payments and how I can get in to get my teeth fixed. I spoke to one of their staff members yesterday who said shed get this all to me today and here it is almost mid day and I havent gotten a thing..... time to find a new dentist.... like one who actually cares about my teeth!

Codie the office manager was so helpful in working with my insurance to ensure that I received the best treatment at a reasonable cost. My son loves going here because they have Netflix and flat screen TVs at each station so he never gets bored. I highly recommend Avery Lopez and University Park Family Dental! I had a pleasant experience. The hygienist and dentist were very thorough. It was reasonably priced and an added bonus to be able to schedule an early morning appointment on a Saturday.

It helps to get a second or even a third opinion. In this case, Dr. Avery Lopez gave me exactly what I asked for Dental Bonding to fix spacing issues with my teeth. Other dentists suggested veneers for $5000 and another suggested Invisalign for $4000. Although my bonding procedure was less than half the cost of other treatment options. Its all I needed and I am happy with results. I would recommend Dr. Avery as a dentist who listens to his patients. The office staff at University Park Dental is friendly as well.

Ive been at dentist since I was 5 years old, and every appointment was a nightmare. I hate going to the dentist not only because the pain I have to tolerate, but also the time I will have to stay still on the chair and do nothing except opening my mouth. The two hours appointment went so fast while I was watching a move, and he was so gentle I didnt feel pain once when he did the root canal. I really recommend him. So, I have a huge dental phobia. One of those - you dont go for a few years because you are so scared of the dentist, the jaw clenching sounds of tools against teeth, and nightmares from past dental work - kind of dental phobias. I blamed not going to the dentist for the last few years because of pregnancy and having twins but as my babies started to teeth and play with toothbrushes, I realized that I needed to start doing better with taking care of my teeth. Oh, yeah, and I might have had a wisdom tooth come in and got an abscess from an infected tooth.It was time to go to the dentist.So, looking around on ZocDoc (cause who wants to chat on the phone nowadays) I needed a few things:+who could get me in relatively quick+who had great reviews for being gentle (and was a family dentist because if you could care for kids, you could care for a freaked out woman, right)+and who offered some kind of help for the extreme anxiety.A minute into my consultation with Dr. Avery and his team, I immediately knew I was in the right place. From a calming environment, friendly team, and treatment plan in place - I felt comfortable moving forward. My dental cleaning went smoothly thanks for the conscious sedation that Dr. Avery offered. As well as the noise canceling headphones that played my favorite Pandora channel and tinted glasses to block out that bright light. AND a fluffy blanket. It might sound silly, but the little things count.And then, a week later, I went back in to get my wisdom tooth taken out, a tooth extracted, and several fillings fixed. About threeish hours of work. And guess what? I remember nothing from the procedures except my family walking me in, being wrapped in a blanket, and feeling like I was at the spa. Seriously, having twins is hard and that was a nice getaway!I cant recommend Dr. Avery enough. He is friendly, welcoming, and his staff is absolutely magnificent. Each and every one of them made me feel comfortable, calm, and no one made me feel silly for having extreme dental anxiety. If youre on the fence, avoiding dental care, or just need a cleaning - I highly recommend checking out Dr. Avery and his team.

I have been going to Dr. Lopez for several years and am always pleased with the service that I receive from him and the staff! He makes appointments less dreadful (though I dont mind going to the dentist :) ), and the facilities are so well kept. This office took me in last minute for a sharpness in my tooth that was hurting my cheek and in that sense I guess was good that they took me so quick (my regular dentist couldnt). He re-surfaced my sharp point on my back tooth, and basically completely changed that contour of the tooth way too much! It was overkill! He also insisted I get full x-rays including all the fancy panoramic ones (which I felt was unnecessary for a quick emergency visit). He said that I had a cavity that I needed to come in and get taken care of ASAP. His office calculated after my insurance Id owe around $300. The office staff there were a bunch of young blondes and I didnt like my experience so I went back to my regular dentist to get the cavity looked at. Also, in order to get my images/records sent from university park to my regular dentist it took me at least 3 different attempts of calling them and asking them and I still dont even know if they did it. When I went to my regular dentist they said there was a small small density on the x-ray that could maybe be considered a cavity but that it didnt feel like one on exam and they said not to worry about it and just follow up with it on the next time I see them for my cleaning. Up to this point I did not know that there was such a thing as bad dentists who try to scam people for money, but now I know there is!! Dont go here, I never will again and definitely do no trust this guy.

This was the second time when they messed up my appointment and at last, I had to cancel it. Luckily I found another dentist in short notice. I would like to explore a new dentist in the coming new year 2019.
