Equipment is old and you will never be able to cancel this membership.. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS GYM!!! There are plenty of other options in denton.

Staff is super friendly. Clean environment. There are sanitation stations with towels and a spray bottle with sanitizer. Gloves and a mask are required, which is nice. Family owned! Ive been there a year and Im happy with this gym.

I am moving out of Denton after living here for quite a while. I’ve come to find the gyms been closed. With that said I’ve been trying to close the account.. I’ve been battling back and forth with Rishi personally via email and he says contact [email protected]. I’ve sent several emails to take care of this and have yet to receive correspondence. I also have the whole thread I’m willing to post at this point. If anyone else has been dealing with this, can you tell me what you did. I really don’t want to sick the lawyer on this one.

Good place to get a lift at. Was a good place cancelled my membership. And they do a thing where you cancel your membership and then you still have one month left to go and lift. I changed my debit card and they still need to process the payment a month later after I cancelled. Thought they charged final month when I cancelled. Instead of calling and asking for that info, they sent me to a collection agency. Thanks guys.

Great staff, great members. If youre thinking about joining Legacy, then you probably have been to a gym before, and know what a gym is. Its a gym, with gym stuff, nearly everything you need and well worth the price. Ive been going to Legacy almost daily for about six months and I love it there. Ive met great people, can always find someone for a spot, fist bump, or a laugh. No one is rude, or obnoxious, just good people trying to push their limits or improve their health. Dont hesitate to ask to work in with someone, no one minds. And I also can recommend Courage. I spent my first three months there working with him to jump start my program and it was worth every penny. Come check them out.

What I love is that my apartment lease gets me free access to the gym which makes me feel better since I dont go as often as I want. The staff has always been fairly nice and honestly its pretty well equipped. From what I heard the over all rates for the monthly subscription isnt to bad but like I said, I get it for free so I dont really know how much it is.

I just started going to Legacy a little while ago and I love it. The staff is great and the people are awesome. They are actually there to work out and everyone I have met is super friendly. The boxing and power lifting areas are great additions which most gyms dont have. Yes, the equipment is a little older but it all works fine. You can easily find everything you need here for any workout you need to get done. They also sell prepped meals which is a huge plus if you have a busy or unpredictable schedule.

I feel satisfied for what i pay. The people who come and staff seem great with the exception of a one lady at the front desk who is in very serious dyer need of customer service skills and maybe watch a youtube video or two on ethical behaviors and professionalism. Other than that, a wonderful place.

We love the place. Great crowd of people. Good hours. Good choice of equipment. Great trainers. The place could use more free weights, but they seem to be working on improving the gym all the time.

I thought it was so great for a mom with kids and no sitter wants to workout and tan. So easy I just drop them off with a super nice and awesome care taker whos been there for 5 plus years and I go workout tan and shower then pick them up! Best thing that ever happened to me since I had kids honestly! The first day Kari helped me so much and gave me the inspiration and made me feel comfortable my first day!! Shes literally the reason I will be working out here now!

This place takes care of veterans. There are pros and cons anywhere you go, but Ive worked out all over the world and this is a pretty good gym. I really like how no one talks to me (non-staff). The only thing I dont like is the same everywhere, promotions at the new year attracts lazy people who are never going to stick with a health regime. You cant blame them for that though lol

I do not believe that this is a “bad” gym by any means. I’ve been working out here for a while and honesty, this gym has fit my needs. I gave it four stars because there could be improvements made with the equipment. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and if you need simple place to workout, I recommend this place.

Where do I begin. First of all the gym isnt that great, I went there because its close and it has everything you need but everything is out of shape and old and not taken care of or maintained. Second I was charged a $30 late fee for being late which isnt very bad I paid it and thats that and right before the payment was coming out the next month I told them the day of that I would have the money in the account which they waited and they pulled out. When they pulled the money where do I begin. First of all the Jim is in that great, I went there because its closed and it has everything you need but everything is out of shape and old and not taking care of or maintained. Second I was charged the $30 late fee for being late which isnt very bad I paid it and thats that and right before the payment was coming out the next month I told them the day of that I would have the money in the account which they waited and they pulled out. When they pulled the money it wasnt able to take the money for some reason and then they tried it again immediately and got the money yet I still got another fee so I got $60 in fees which they told me would be avoid double at least the second $30. I call try and talk to them about reversing it they give me a number to their payment site. I already had it and both places told me that the other could stop the fee from happening if I paid early or reverse it if it happened. But then when it actually happened neither of them can do it and say the other can, so theyre giving me the runaround and wasting my time. $120 for one month of using this shity gym. Do not go here they dont care about you they dont care about their own facility. Its just awful I wish I never joined cuz Im out a lot of money, one month I could have paid for Planet Fitness for an entire year. Which is better than this place.

I joined this gym three days ago. Today, I found a gym that was closer to me. I went into Legacy, explained the situation and even though I signed an agreement stating I needed to give Legacy 30 days notice to cancel (which I had already been charged $30 for first month and would owe additional $30 for the next month since it was 27 days away), the owner shook my hand, canceled my account so I didnt owe $30 for the next month and then wrote me a check to refund first payment! As a customer, this was the most painless process from a gym I have ever experienced. Im not a member, but if this is how they do things, join!! You are important to them!!

Awesome gym. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The personal trainers are top notch and very knowledgeable at what they do. Diesel Fitness is also open 24 hours so it is very convenient for those that work odd hours or just cant seem to sleep. They have a great sauna and tanning beds also. I have been a member for a little over 4 years and wouldnt work out anywhere else.

If you havent been inside Legacy in the last 6-12 months, you dont know what youre missing. HUGE changes and improvements have been incorporated since they took over from the previous management / company, Diesel Fitness. The facility is clean, the equipment is plentiful and in good service, and whether you are a hard core gym rat or a casual, drop in kinda person, or anything in between, this gym can more than accommodate your needs. One of the only gyms around with childcare too, moms and dads dont have to give up their gym time. Classes, trainers, and great extras make this gym the absolute BEST bang for your buck.

I visited this gym once, and did a workout as well for my one free day. My overall first impression of the gym was that its dirty (especially the power lifting room in the back), the equipment is old and outdated, and overall didnt feel like a super positive environment. Also a lot of the machines are extremely close together, so it wasnt a comfortable or enjoyable workout in my opinion. I wont be buying a membership here, and am disappointed by my experience just after one day.

Old equipment. Management and front staff are rude and could care less about you being a customer. Smells like an old locker room. Everyone who works there and who works out there do not care about others. And for the price this place is a joke. Plenty of gyms around the area that are way more nice for half of what you would pay here. My friend even had his truck window busted out and tools stolen while he was working out so can’t even say it’s safe to park there.

I like this place because its not your average gym. I can workout without being interrupted by people standing around talking like Ive seen at the most popular gyms. Its got an old school feel to it and makes me feel more welcome then other places

This is one of my favorite facilities. There is no top rope here, its all bouldering. The staff is helpful and friendly.

You should go to the gym if you want $120 taken out of your account randomly. They pull from your account three separate times in the same day which then charges you $90 in late fees. The worst part is that they say you can cancel but they literally will not let you cancel because their Petty and want your money so you have to close your bank account

Never crowded, nice variety of equipment. I have been going here for about a month and really enjoy it. Thanks for providing a great place to workout.

I am actually a member at the sister gym in Dallas- but just started coming here twice a week for work and was presently surprised how clean and friendly everyone is.I am just so sick of the chain gyms that hire kids and people who do not care about the customers.Its very spacious in here with a great free weight area- and they even had a ping pong and pool table!it is a tad dark in a couple spots, but honestly- it keeps it really cool!Try the Zumba class on Wednesday nights!

Other than the fact that this place smells like sweat 24/7, the equipment is old and if you don’t have an Arnold Schwarzenegger body you are looked down upon...they basically stole $145 from me also. So yeah...I would go elsewhere.

I have never seen a gym with more unrecognized potential. The apathetic staff and owner Rishi refuse to repair or upgrade equipment and clearly do not care about the safety of their customers. Equipment stays broken for months at a time, the bars are in such poor condition that they slide around in your hands, and the weight benches in the back of the gym have been in dangerously poor shape for months now. The price is not competitive compared to other gyms in the area that offer a better setup for a cheaper price. The back area could be the nicest barbell room in DFW short of Progressive Overload, but it is so poorly maintained and equipped that it is difficult to use safely.An investment on the part of the owner would most likely turn things around, but hed rather go on vacation than reinvest in his business. Texas Family Fitness and Fitness Connection are both significantly better options, and Id recommend that people try those out before they sign up at this poor excuse for a gym.Oh, and there are those nasty little winged cockroaches in the back room.

Member for 2 years. My credit card had a hold and the payment did not process. I came in within days and tried to pay but the owner would not waive the $30 fee.I will never return and suggest not doing business with a place that treats people like this!Not to mention how DIRTY this place is! I always had trouble as the equiplemt was outdated and broke. I quit going because the equipment I wanted to use never seemed to be available.The place also smells HORRIBLE!The owner of this place REFUSED to help with a $30 fee for a payment when I was there to make the payment withing days. My card had a fraud alert on it and that was the reason the payment did not clear!I do business with people who have character

A great place to get a good workout, they have all equipment required and plus they have a power lifting room. If youre into heavy lifting, body building or power lifting, this is y the gym you wanna go to.Edit: seems like there are lots of friends to the front desk staff that think they have more privileges than other paying members do, they like to gather around the dumbell rack and just interfere with others trying to get the workout done, they are also inconsiderate using the bench press to do like Bulgarian split squat lounges and all kinds of exercises that can be done on any other one of the benches designed for that purpose, many times you cant even do your bench pressing of the day because of this, is aggravating sometimes especially during the evenings but management doesnt seem to care dumbells are old and most of the heavy ones broken, you cant plan for a workout with small increments because you just gotta use whatever is there.

Been coming here for about 6 or more years. Feels like home. Miss some people that used to work here, but stuff happens. Its changed a little but its still a good gym to go to. Staff is friendly as well.

The best thing i liked about this gym is that its got different equipment for cardio. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Very versatile. You cab work out inside or out. Have a basketball court and a area for boxing. Also have Olympic Style weightlifting.

Independently owned gym that has all the equipment you could need! Prices are really affordable compared to L.A. fitness or other box gyms in the area.

Honestly, I give this place a 4 because of the owner and another lady that works there in the afternoons. The other staff members are alright. My main thing to mention is the lack of equipment and the building being quite old and dated. Other than that its a decent gym for the price.

Diesel Fitness is one of the greatest gym around Denton not only is it low in cost but the will work with your monthly payment. when I go to the gym I see it as my second home because we are like a big family in there and I feel really welcome in it they have great trainers and will work with you when u have questions!!! this gym MOTIVATES ME EVERYTIME I STEP IN IT!!! I would really recommend this gym for any one looking for a gym to be a member at!!

Great facility with gear for any sort of lifter. Powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, crossfit, whatever you like to do, you can do at Legacy. There are tons of cardio machines and the monthly rates are affordable.

Awesome gym! Have all of the right equipment to get the job done. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great place to workout. Child care is a huge plus for this gym. Sometimes I got to take my little man with me and Diesel Fitness makes this possible. Basketball court, sauna, spacious locker rooms, free weights, MMA training area, and numerous of other great equipment. Excellent place to workout. Come in, sign up, get fit.Chuck Wilkinson is an amazing trainer at Diesel Fitness, Denton, TX and is highly knowledgeable of how the body works. Easy to workout with, no intimidation or forcefull training. Been working out with Chuck for a little over a month and I have dropped a pants size and gained more muscle mass. An extra inch or two in my biceps is not a bad thing. Thanks Chuck and thank you Diesel Fitness.

Broken, outdated, and dirty equipment, smells like a locker room. $189 down and $30 a month is way too much for what you get here. The staff is nice and friendly though. Just wish the management would clean up the place and fix the equipment. Its really dingy, grimey, and a bit on the nasty side. Only one working elliptical machine with broken handles is unsatisfactory in my book for the price being charged.

Good location and spacious, lots of old equipment though. 50 percent of their spinning bikes are broken and the least amount of re-racking of the weights I have ever seen at a gym.You think the staff could throw in and re-rack what the members dont, but they dont.

Hands-Down one of THE BEST gyms in the DFW area, and ABSOLUTELY the best in Denton. The clientele are GREAT! Less of the typical D-bag narcissists aggressively staring you down as you work out and more genuine, helpful people who will take the time to spot you if you need it. The Environment is laid-back and friendly, The Staff are helpful, courteous, and Professional, The Equipment is well-maintained and the setup is unparalleled. Uniquely, the Climbing rope in the crossfit room is something you wont find anywhere else as a GREAT way to boost your workout.

Most of the equipment is old and the facility is kind of falling apart. They have pretty reasonable membership plans for the amount of activities that you can do in there.

The staff is friendly, they appeal to every aspect of fitness from the powerlifting to the mma gym, and did I mention it was 24 hours? This is easily the best gym in Denton! Completely blows my University recreation centers gym out of the water!
