Friendly and professional staff. Clean and well maintained equipment is what I’ve come to expect and TFF delivers. Ample room and functional space for all types of workouts. Artificial turf alongside various kettle bell weights, thick rope, and sled is a great amenity that may replace sauna, steam room, pool for some. Overall, a great experience to find consistency and hit your fitness goals.

Love this place. So great with kids because the daycare gives them opportunity to play with kids and get energy out while i get a break and get a good workout in! There’s even a tv in the gym showing the daycare on camera. Just an awesome place with lots of options for everyone to workout however they’re most comfortable. Staffs great! Which is a big thing

The new GM Dallas is nice. I enjoyed working with Jeffrey and PT William.Its a good gym. Im enjoying my time here so far. They have plenty of machines. Only drawback is they dont have a True Stretch Cage. Not a fan of foam rolling on the gym floor. Only one leg press machine at the moment. Hopefully, they get even later hours soon.

I was very impressed with this location. The facility speaks for itself. The equipment is all new and well maintained. In fact, I saw a trainer notice that my machine was squeaking. He squeezed in between my sets and greesed it up. Then I had the chance to meet with the manager. Dallin Ewart was extremely helpful. Very personable, and gave me a lot of great tips. Good dude that represents the facility well.

I just recently became a member of Texas Family Fitness. So far, I absolutely love it!! Jeffrey Baer is super awesome and helpful, and I always feel comfortable and welcome when I go :) this is not your typical luxury gym, but you can feel comfortable and get in a great workout around people that won’t judge you. Personally, those two things alone are important to me. They also have personal trainers, group classes, really nice bathrooms with showers/lockers and a really awesome and friendly staff!!!! 10/10 would recommend!!

Basic gym membership is fine, dont let them sit you down with a trainer/salesman. Get basic membership and be done, thank me later. Nobody at the facility can help you with anything and their customer service number doesnt work.

I cancelled my membership during the pandemic and they were still charging me all throughout the pandemic and just charged me with an outstanding balance of $400. They said my account had been frozen when I had cancelled it. Dont go here youll get charged after you leave.

I signed up under silver sneakers, which is a FREE membership. TFF staff talked me into signing up for personal training for $168 per month. My husband had back surgery 4/15 and before the surgery I cancelled my membership and personal training because it no longer fit in our budget. Now 3 months later I was charged the $168 again. I previously revoked my credit card authorization as well as cancelled my membership and personal training w this gym in March.I have spoken to corporate 3 times and am still being charged..

My pregnant wife cancelled her membership in November 2020. In April 2021 we were hit with an $800 charge to our bank account and when we called TFF to ask why the charge went through, we were told that the account was frozen, not cancelled. The excuse we were given was that at the time of the cancellation, the manager had confused my wifes request to cancel the membership and instead froze it to be reactivated later. I can understand the mistake, and honestly it happens. However, my wife can no longer use this service, due to a high risk pregnancy. While trying to get a refund we were constantly told that some one would be in touch, but we where never contacted within the time frame specified (usually 7-10 days from customer service). After a month of trying to recoup our money were where denied. Texas Family Fitness offered to wave the next months fee, but again my wife has a high risk pregnancy and this service is unusable. We have since clarified the cancellation and still we have not been refunded. Ive never seen a company inflict so much harm over $800. Dont go near this company.

I absolutely love this gym!! It is always clean, the equipment is kept up and works, the childcare workers are great, and I am never left waiting to use something because there is plenty of equipment for everyone. It is by far the cheapest and best gym I have been a member at between the 5 gyms I have been a member at over the last 10 years!

Texas Family Fitness is just a great place to workout. They have been very accommodating through the pandemic and did what was necessary to stay open so people could continue to workout. The price for membership is very nice compared to the big box clubs. I recommend TFF anytime I hear someone mention looking for a gym.

Great place to work out. They have most of what you need for a solid work out. Plenty of free weights and machines. They also have 3 dead lift/squat platforms, several benches ect. One thing that really impressed me was the room with heavy bags, jump ropes and classes for boxing type work outs. I will upload more pics as I get them but here are a few. If you are looking for a good and inexpensive gym this is it.

I see that many others have had the same issue I had. I emailed corporate because the people at the gym just hung up on me. I tried to cancel my membership during the pandemic several times because they couldnt reassure safety since I was high risk. Even with the 30 day notice in writing they refused. I tried again and I was told my only option was to go directly to the gym in person to cancel. Problem was I was in the hospital with Covid 19. When I got out of the hospital I tried again and again was told to go to the gym in person. I told them I was still recovering and still testing positive but they didnt care. Im still being billed even though I havent been their in over a year. Now that Ive recovered and on Medicare Im going to find another gym, one that cares about my wellbeing. Ill go in person now that Im not a risk to anyone with a wrtin notice of cancellation. Oh, by the way, it was my experience that the personal trainers only care about thin, fit people with money.

Above average for a general gym. Some very knowledgeable and helpful folks on staff. Usually a little busy unless you go around opening, too many people at peak times. But that’s common. Equipment seems to be good quality and I have not yet encountered any problems with equipment being down for long. Prior to pandemic, classes were simple to get scheduled. No idea how classes are being handled going forward. Locker room and bathroom area is clean whenever I have used it. Most people don’t wear masks, especially while working out. Finding a good gym can be frustrating, a lot of them lie about charges or lure you into “deals” you can’t get out of. My experience here has been straightforward and without controversy.

Love it here, my two year old son goes to the kid place and he loves it. Hes always asking to come back.

Be careful: complains about this bussines have reached BBB Better Bussines Boreau. Go over the BBB website and see. charging bank acconts after cancellations. Employs and managers telling costumers all is taken care of and it is not. But they also after cancellations are sending acounts to collection. I have the letter of cancellation and STLL they sent me to collection. You have been advised !

I cancelled my membership in December and was just charged almost $700 in April and after trying to chase them down for two weeks they have now told me there’s nothing they can do. Apparently when I told the manager to cancel my membership he only froze it without me knowing. They keep the document on their computer and add your signature to it from a digital pen pad. From looking through their reviews on Facebook, Google and this statement from the Better Business Bureau this is something that has happened to many others. This company is stealing money from their members and I am unfortunately one of them. Do not trust them with your bank info, they will take advantage of you. Liars and thieves.

Nice gym. Its on the small size. However, I have a certain workout regimen and this gym affords me the opportunity to get my workouts done in a reasonable amount of time.

We cancelled in January. Even during the pandemic we had to come in person to cancel.I had called and left a message to talk to a Mgr twice and I was told they would call back. They never did. We were not told about the annual fee. It was 50 a pc for me and my wife. The annual fee hit our account after we cancelled. We cancelled in January and still got charged for February and March. We were also not informed that you have to pay for an additional month after you cancel.I was also spoken to like a child on the phone. There was one friendly person I spoke to.The rest of the folks working there spoke to us like basic highschool bullies. I was told “I don’t want to act like your parents but” then proceeded to speak to me in such a manner.. I had to cancel my wife’s subscription twice. The person even said “it looks like your subscription is canceled but I’m not sure. Then said a Mgr would call back and they didn’t. Really unprofessional people working at the Denton location.

TFF always makes you feel welcome and well informed on their events and deals! The equipment is well spaced out for covid guidelines and there are sanitation stations that are always well stocked and easy to find. Free weights are organized and clean!

The gym itself was fine. However, I signed up on January 14th. I went one time and then couldn’t again because work picked up. I went in on February 12th to cancel my membership. I was told that because I did not cancel my membership 30 days before the $54 annual fee, I was going to be charged it either way. However I only had my membership for 29 days. The annual fee came out today, February 19th. Total scam of a place.

I’ve been going to TFF for almost a month now. The facility is clean, organized, well equipped and the staff is fantastic.

Good afternoon everyone. My experience with this facility is nothing short of manipulative, dishonest and just plain fraudulent. Im a 100% disabled veteran and I was quite vocal about that because Im also a single Dad to a 12 and 15 year old. So, as I aforementioned I cant afford a great deal outside of a Very fixed income period. As I made the General Manager and the salesperson very aware of my financial situation on Numerous occasions. This was to be on a trial basis for my son because of the inability for him to train at the gym at school due to COVID-19. I was told that my membership would be due to my circumstance on a month to month basis and told my sons membership would be around $15.00 per month which I could afford. I was then asked if I would like a membership for which I declined due to again my fixed income and a recent major back surgery with a great deal of metal installed in my back. I was then whisked over to a trainer who pretended to commiserate with my back woes. Within a few days I was billed $600.00 dollars!! So much for fair business practices, anything aforementioned or respecting a man that fought and bled for their civil liberties. I then spoke with the GM and other employee about what in the world was going on and asked that everything was cancelled. I was told it was an oversight and would be rectified. I was then charged an additional $300.00 for which I returned and spoke again with the GM and didnt wish to hear anymore lame excuses. These people should be ashamed of themselves and my next stop will be the news media so this doesnt happen to anyone else.Absolutely shameful.

I have been to other family fitnesses that have updated their equipment and their great. This one constantly has broken equipment and arent on top of the cleanliness. I constantly have to wander the gym looking for a cleaning station that is fun.

Went a few times since covid began, and have never felt comfortable. Nobody working out distances or wears masks, and the equipment that I preferred to use is no longer available. Tried to cancel my membership, but was told I needed to do so in person, which is counterintuitive seeing as how I haven’t gone since I didn’t want to be in the location.Other option is to send a letter to corporate, which is beyond antiquated. 2020 showed this gym’s true colors.

Please look very carefully into this place! I signed up close to the beginning of the year and they double charged me multiple times. I have talked to countless people and still have not received my refund of over 70 dollars on wrong charges done by them. Also if you are doing auto pay make sure you pay cause they will charge you an extra 20 dollars of your payment gets declined! Nobody at the gym can help you what so ever with any problems and they will lie to you and say a manager isn’t there when one is there. It’s sad because it’s a pretty nice gym inside but they are ultimately just crooks. They are fast to take your money wrongfully a slow to fix the problem. It’s been 4 months for me and still haven’t gotten my money back! Be careful!

As frequent gym goer I’ve had my share or different gyms I’ve been to. TTF is a great gym when it’s come to aesthetics and equipment, I feel their the leading gym when I comes to wide range of equipment.The staff is great and friendly and I’ve never had a problem with any of them.Now the Cons to this gym is how small it is compared to how many people attend. It’s been many times where I’ve come to the gym and had to wait for all of the equipment I wanted to get on or just had to switch up my entire workout because of this. If your someone that tracks your progress you can understand have frustrating this could be, and also it makes your workout go from 1hr to 2hrs from waiting.Some many not see this as a problem but it’s one that I have a solution would be to find

The facilities are really nice and the price for the basic membership is great. They have issues concerning the training sessions. First, they really do push them. Second, there appears to be a software glitch with scheduling. They are working with us to make sure we get what we pay for but it has been a bit complicated. Yoga class on Sunday mornings is exceptional!

Had to just drive up to the gym and cancel all three of my memberships. I called and asked them to please stop charging me for training sessions that I cannot take since I am a high-risk person for COVID-19. I called their corporate headquarters three times like I was told to do since I did not want to go to the gym in person due to being high risk. No one would return my calls. Instead, they decided to hit my account for another group of sessions for $248.00. They have done this twice now after I have not been able to use a single session from the initial $248.00 I paid right before COVID hit. I told them I was more than willing to keep paying membership dues on our three accounts to help them get through these hard times but please stop charging me for sessions I cannot use and please do not expire them. Apparently, that fell upon deaf ears. I guess corporate got my calls and decided to hit my account for more money while they could since they probably knew I had called three times about this issue. I am unhappy that they pretty much forced me into going to the gym to deal with this and I had to ask the person at the front desk three times to put his mask back on while speaking to me. That right there was a clear indicator to me that I have made the right decision in not returning to the gym. This is sad, I wanted to go back and was trying to help by paying the monthly dues to help them get through this. But since I am being treated this way I went ahead and canceled everything. When I do feel safe again I will take my business elsewhere. I really liked my trainer.

I am riding this review to warn you about this gym they will steal money from you charging you extra late fee last month October they did two charge of $73 and today the second they charge another one 35 dollars I supposed to pay $28 a month when you sign a contract doesnt give you the company that right to steal your money they have my information wrong they had somebody elses phone number wrong and they refuse to give me my money back so Im going to cancel and I will never sign in for Texas family fitness so how you had the wrong information but you still charging me late featsand I will go tomorrow to cancel it and they better not give me no excuses I cannot cancel because I will close my bank account meaning youre not going to be able to charge me no more late feats and thats not right you stealing money from your own customer who pay to go to the gym and thats not right nobody in the gym is working with me to fix this issue so Im going to cancel my membership and close my account because theyre not going to get not even one single penny after tomorrow and I want the papers in written that I close my account I will not recommend this place to anybody especially in this pandemic so they will charge you and they will steal your money without contact you without asking you even if you go to the gym twice a day they will still charge you so they dont ask any question they just want to take your money I will get this place at zero out of ten oh oh zero star out of five

My father had a stroke that rendered my workout partner and myself unable to attend the gym. I asked for a refund for the time unused and they said Your personal matters do not matter. If that was the case, everyone would get a refund. Im infuriated. I will never be part of Texas Family Fitness. They forgot the word family meant something. Horrible people.

Texas Family Fitness has been a great experience for me. The PREVIEW gym has enough options for a good workout and my trainer Logan who has helped me get a much better work capacity. The new facility, due to open in March will offer EVERYTHING you could imagine. I have been working out with them since November, the staff is so friendly and helpful always greeting me with a smile. The preview facility has given me an opportunity to get to know all of the trainers and the assistant GM, Paul Thomas. Everyone truly has your best interest at heart and is your champion for success. Dont judge it by the preview gym. The new facility will be amazing and offer anything you could be looking for. Go in and talk to Paul, he will take great care of you. He is very personable!

The equipment is top notch, the people are friendly, and most of all the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. I have tried several gyms out in the area and Texas Family Fitness has been made my new home. Clay is awesome and always makes sure you are taken care of. Tried to cancel my membership in July. As of October they were still billing me after4 or four trips to talk to a manager and several phone call the the finance company. Nice people but incompetent or running a great scam to keep billing you for months after you cancel. The third party billing company and TFF just keep blaming each other for the BS.

Sold me in November on the prospect that their new facility would open in January. It did not open until April and I never received any apology for the delay or any notification the facility was open. They were happy to take my money every month until I cancelled, though.

Okay, so Ive been a member for about 6 months now and believe I can leave a honest review. The facility is great and has awesome equipment along with different varieties whether you want to work on strength, Olympic lifting, general fitness etc. It has enough space but can be cramped during busy hours much like any gym. I love the Nautlius equipment and eleiko racks! In the beginning I wouldve given this gym a solid 4.5 rating. However, there are some very big issue that have risen in past months. Cleanliness in this gym is at an all time low. The bathrooms are gross and weights are never put back, it isnt uncommon see dust. In addition, this gym started with new equipment and hasnt been open even a year yet. The equipment is aging unbelievably quick,some wear and tear is easily visibly present. Many members are way too rough with equipment and beat it down. Staff needs to enforce policies to help keep it looking brand new. Im not saying turn into planet fitness for Gods sake but dont5let members slam your equipment into oblivion. Overall descent gym and could be great if these issues are corrected.Update: this club is awful when it comes to social distancing, 90% of members and employees dont wear mask. Cleaning supplies limited and no enforcement whatsoever of mask. I dont know if other locations follow protocol closer but this location certainly doesnt.

Toured with Felix and loved the gym! Felix was great and provided great customer service. The equipment looked very clean, as did the locker rooms.

The 1st Day that was my official day with a trainer. It was very unorganized, line out the door. The gentleman at the front told me to go find him. I had no idea who he was or what he looked like. He (trainer) also had no idea who I was or what I looked like. Finally, after waiting, and the gentleman in the front asking if I was still waiting, he found him. I must say the session was great...great personality and I listened to my concerns. My personal trainer that I am assigned to is Brook. Brook is awesome. Anyone that can work with my out of shape, 52 year old grandma self...is awesome. She pushes me to my potential. She knew after the 2nd session that I can do more than 5 lbs. (dang). I have injuries and she planned exercises that will strengthen and not increase injury. I really do enjoy it and this is coming from someone that has not been in a gym in a couple of years.

I love the gym itself. But I was told I could upgrade my membership to bring guests for 40 dollars to upgrade that day by someone who worked in the morning. When I finally was able to pay for it, i was told it was 90 dollars that day(30 something a month) , plus it would restart my membership so i would have to pay the annual fee even the next month even though i had already paid in december. Ive read some of the other reviews and it seems like this happens quite often. I am seriously considering finding another gym because it seems like yall change policies and dont train all your employees to be on the same page. Its either that, or your sales reps are trying to make more money.

Be careful, I got tricked into a membership. I went in to buy a day pass to try it out ,Caleb told me that it would be better to pay for the two months which was almost the same amount as a day pass “there is no contract” he said. I told him that I would not give him my card info that I would pay cash. He said that would work because if I didn’t like it ,I didn’t have to come back. I got a call from their billing department saying that there was a problem with my credit card info, guess what? Caleb used some Chase bank account info and routing number that was no good thats why they were having trouble processing payment. I went in end of December for the day pass, now its end of February and they were telling me I owed them $110+ , I called and they passed me to Caleb again and he said that he was going to bring back the amount owed to $73 and that I “got a very good deal “ for the 3 times i was there because part of that money was for an anual fee. Be careful when you go in there, I guess they get some kind of bonus when they sign people up, also who’s to say he didn’t use some other members card info to sign me up. Now I’m $73 down , hopefully this helps anybody who’s thinking of going there .

I already love this gym, and we aren’t even in our new facility yet. I’m always greeted by name when I walk in, my trainer (Logan) is a boss, and all the equipment is new and well-maintained. It’s only going to get better once we are in our new building and get to start GroupX classes. I’ve been a member of three other gyms in Denton...this is by far my favorite already.

All is fun until you try to cancel your account membership. Suddenly the staff at the gym isn’t able to assist you with that. I was told In person I needed to reach out to Corporate. Then to top things off, you suddenly start to get invoicing mistakes that had never happened before and in which you have no idea what they are for because their online portal is not useful. So, When I did call corporate to inquire questions on my billing and how to go about cancelling my account (Marquise) was very impolite and defensive about my billing questions. After some back & fourth he did agree to fix the bill issue (or so he claims-TBD) however, I was referred back to the Gym to fill out a cancelation form. The staff at the gym claim to not know about a form. These people are driving me crazy. This is just horrible customer service!

AFTER my account is charged I am notified that there was something wrong with the paperwork and to come fix it....ok fineDecember comes, I am charged the full amount again!We are now in January where I have yet again been charged the full membership amount even with signed and submitted paperwork requesting a freeze. This is just poor management and predatory practices, I’ll be canceling my memberships, disputing charges and requesting a refund.My advice; take your business elsewhereEDIT: TFF reached out and refunded one of their mistakes, which is a plus. Also when I went into the gym to sign the cancellation papers the manager in duty gave me ZERO grief and only simply asked why I was canceling. No pressure, no time wasting, just canceled it for me and made it easy. For this reason I amended the review and gave them 3 stars .

I checked out quite a few gyms when I first moved to Denton. I found this one to be most like my old gym. Im there most weekdays.The staff is friendly. The equipment, even though we are in the preview center for now, is everything I would expect Id ever need.I cant wait for the gym to open!

Nice equipment, the employees are friendly. The problem is they are inept. Something as simple as changing billing information is as bad as having teeth pulled. This place does not take steps to verify your information.

We had a great experience until now. We asked for our membership to be paused for a few months and were still being charged. After speaking with several different people, my husband spoke with Nicole at the Corporate Office. She was rude, dismissive, and very unprofessional. I have NEVER been spoken to like that by someone in customer service When we asked to speak with someone else, she said she was the only person we could talk to. So much for customer satisfaction.

They have all the equipment you need for a great workout, very affordable price. Highly recommend.

Beware of high pressure, misleading sales practices that result in a uncomfortable atmosphere in what could be a nice new facility in Denton. Get everything you sign in paper form and ask lots of questions. Realize they have your debit card as well as your checking account information in their database and deduct payments at their discretion. The fine print on everything you sign will hold them harmless. Know your rights as far as cancellation policy per Texas law. They pressured my son into a personal training contract, supplements and told him he was not able to cancel when he called the following day. If they had given him a contract in paper, we could have reviewed it and known the law regarding health clubs in Texas. They did not give him any paperwork, had him sign a tablet and nothing was e-mailed. They offered him a break on his monthly dues in exchange for the almost $1,000.00 in training. Because I am the primary on the family account the 2nd installment for the training package was debited from my account with the debit card I used when I first signed up in November. I had to call and request copies of the contracts he signed. His address and name are incorrect. I received no notification from the club that my debit card was being used or that changed had been made to our original agreement. Only when my bank contacted me due to an transaction over my account limit would I be aware of this transaction.Buyer beware is always necessary, if considering Texas Family Fitness, it is mandatory with red flags and sirens as you make any decisions.

Friendly staff. Equipment seems decent. I like that they have a place to watch your kids (different hours than gym hours). Looks cool, but my kids are already saying they get bored there quick (we usually stay 1 - 1.5 hours) and when my 6 year old asked for water they told her she just needs to wait, even though the facility obviously has water fountains! Lesson learned I guess. Also, sad they dont have a pool.Overall, it suits my needs for me and my family at a decent price and I have no major complaints.

This place is a SCAM!!!!!After going for a day and cancelling a few days after by writing and email am still charged $21 to $51 everyday. After asking for a refund for 21.67 that so happened go through and card taken off file am told by manager and corporate that they are unable to do so and my membership wouldnt cancel till two months later.

Totally unprofessional! Trainer acts better then you mentality, told me let me reiterate what I said, very condescending. Canceled membership for my wife and I.

The facility and staff members I worked with were very nice, but poor management. I originally signed with Texas family fitness because it was such a great deal and the guy I was working with was very kind. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my membership. Note- this was the first time I ever stepped into the facility. I was helped by a young lady at the front desk who was very kind. (Not sure why) but the general manager came around the corner and got onto her right in front of me. Which made me very uncomfortable and felt it was extremely unprofessional of him.He pulled me to the side and asked why I was cancelling and encouraged me not to (which I felt was uncomfortable as well). He then tried to tell me I was going to be charged a facility fee of $40-50 which was incorrect. I told him that’s not what I was told when I originally signed and he was very quick to correct me to the guy who signed me....before asking any additional questions or further helping me. I then had to explain my circumstance for the third time with the general manager over my shoulder telling me “that’s not what you told me”.Overall the general manager was condescending and he made me very uncomfortable. I was able to cancel my membership with no additional charges and getting a refund for one monthly payment, but dealing with the manager ruined my day and was a hassle.One of the reasons I signed was because there was no contract and could change my membership if needed. Overall, not the family atmosphere they created it to be.
