I have had the same hair stylist for over 15 years. I decided to grow out my hair during the pandemic to see what my natural color was and she decided to retire. I went to another salon with a picture of what I wanted, in order to cut out all the old color. Over a foot of hair off and it came out very uneven. I first came to Chris to even it out and I knew when he was doing the cut, he was going to be my new person. Chris David is a creative engineer! I have fine textured hair follicles, with slight waves, and tons of hair. His “cut the hair where it lives” and dry cut approach worked fantastically to provide the best cut for ME. He listens to what you want, but he also gives feedback on the best style for your head/face shape, and body type. He is truly gifted in his craft and I highly recommend him.

I new to the area as far as hair salons go. My permanent home was in Maryland and New York city but now that I’m in Florida I decided to search for a colorist and a hair cutter that actually listens to me. I specifically wanted a salon that uses quality products and Chris David uses Davines, an Italian line that has literally changed the health of my hair. To find a top-notch hair cutter and colorist is another story because I’m very selective and have had my hair ruined before. . I booked an appointment with Chris and . I walked into a very cool, small chic salon. After a lengthy convo,That was actually educational and interesting, , I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience in every facet of hair. Not only did he make my hair color and highlights and low lights so beautiful, and he cut my hair as exactly what I wanted . 100% fabulous. No crying on my way home. I already booked my next appointment!! He’s unique in this business. He’s better than anyone I ever had do my hair in New York city

Chris is an amazing hairstylist. I am out in Florida for a few months and it was really scary to try a new place. I had Chris do what he thought would be best for my hair when I came in for coloring and I am so glad that I took his advice. My hair turned out great. The second time I went back I had him give me a cut and I was very pleased with that as well. Chris really knows his stuff and I am open to any of his advice.

Chris is a very talented hair stylist. I have thick curly hair which is not easy for just anyone to cut. It requires a lot more skill. I have gone to curly hair specific salons and paid top dollar for specialty hair cuts. I must say Chris is even more talented and has done an excellent job with my hair. Highly recommended!!

I have super long, thick, curly, frizzy hair and you would never know because of the magic he works! He offers a unique, natural smoothing treatment that works so well! Its a beautiful salon nestled in the cutest historic neighborhood in Delray. Chris is a true expert. He took my hair from a 2 to a 10. Color correction is his art! If you are looking for a fresh new look Chris is your guy. My hair has been completely transformed in one sitting without compromising the integrity of my hair. I could not be happier! Oh and Sabina shes got hands like the Indian goddess Shiva. Im definitely coming back!

Great hair from the Maestro of Color in Delray. Chris does phenomenal work and my wife loves his color. I go to him to and have for years. I need my hair to look sharp and professional but still have some flare. Chris does a great job finding that look. Its also a really cool and laid back location. Parking is easy and the result looks great. I would highly recommend.

I never write negative reviews, but here I have to. I was scammed and mistreated by Chris David himself!I came to Chris few months ago due when my regular stylist closed her salon due to the COVID-19 quarantine. I usually get full highlights and wear tape hair extensions. I use two colors, 24 which is platinum and DB2 which is a darker shade of blonde. This is how I achieve a dimensional color. Chris attempted to sell me one set of platinum extensions that he had at his salon. I politely refused as at that point I had just purchased two new packs of my own extensions. He did a good job on the hair color and extensions installation. However, in the very beginning I specifically stated that I didnt want a haircut, but Chris still did it (took an inch off in the back) and charged me $90 for it. I decided not to say anything and just paid the full bill of $575.I came back for my next appointment on May 13th, 2020. Immediately, Chris started trying to sell me that same pack of extensions from before. I said no. Then Chris said that it would be more expensive for me to have him re-tape and install my own extensions than for me to buy a pack of his as he doesnt charge for the installation of his extensions. I normally get a very high quality Russian hair and Chris reassured me that his hair is also from Russia and is even better quality. I said okay. Then to save time (he had to run few errands after my appointment), Chris said that I would look much better with a single process color rather than highlights. Plus, now that I will have all platinum color extensions, it would make sense to do a single process. Once again, I trusted him. He knew that my hair was damaged, thats the reason I was getting highlights all this time! He put bleach not only on the new growth, but all over my already damaged hair! When all was done, the hair felt okay and looked good. This time I paid Chris $700. All was good until the first hair wash. Whatever the hair Chris sold me was coated with, it all came off. I ended up with extremely dry, frizzy hair that a flatiron at 350F couldnt straighten. I texted Chris and send pictures, and his response was, This doesnt make any sense, everyone else loves this hair. I asked for the $400 back. This is how much he charged for one set of his extensions. His response was, If I take the extensions back, I will not be able to reuse them and will have to throw them away. I asked for him to allow me to come to the salon so he would see for himself how horribly I look, but at that point he stopped communicating with me all together. I called, I sent several text messages, I even offered for the sake of our relationship to come to some sort of compromise. No response whatsoever! He didnt want to see that hair because he knew from the very beginning he was selling me garbage! I am attaching 5 pictures for everyone to see.I feel cheated and scammed by Chris, but what upsets me the most, is the way he is treating me. I never expected something like that from any stylist, especially him. In addition, it has been only 3 weeks, but one of his tapes has already started to separate and coming off the hair. Very sad.
