I’ve been going to Dr. Metz since I was young. His Son is fantastic too. However their staff is HORRIBLE. The lady who answered D was rude and annoyed. She even sounded congested and told me we couldnt get a regular checkup for all points including allergies. Tried to call to get an appointment and was spoke down. Again. By the woman you answered the phone. It’s sad because the doctors are great. I will never be back. I suggest you find another general practitioner.

One stars for the doctors, they get the job done but don’t expect them to go above and beyond. ZERO stars for the office staff, they will give you attitude, they’re uncaring, and always in a rush, either to get you away from their desks or when you call, to get you off the phone.

DO NOT GO HERE! First they charge you $175 just to get into their rooms to be seen by the Dr. A wellness exam cost an addition $120 and then they want to bill you for another $275 for a test that they said would be included in the $120. Not to mention the blood work and testing that we were told was included in our office visits I received another bill today for $510 from Quest Diagnostics for lab work that was included in the doctors visit... This place has turned into a den for Con artists.. You have been warned!

Great doctors, but the wait here is measured in hours. $129.00 upfront per visit, minus insurance discounts, etc.

I called several times and no answer. When someone finally answered, they hung up on me. Called the next day to make appt and told can’t have an appointment after 3pm. I need a refill on my medication, but can’t get one without coming in to see the doctor or PA. They refill my meds as long as I pay to see someone. All about the MONEY!!!

I’ve been going here for about 20 years and it’s the worse now. Staff is horrible. Getting refills is a nightmare and the wait is so long. I would t recommend this to facility to anyone. There are other family doctors that are a lot better.

The staff that you have to deal with on the phone to get any information are uncaring and arrogant. Ive unfortunately been going here for about 15 years. I will never return. Im stuck at home with Covid and had to be talked down to over the phone to get a prescription refilled. Which didnt happen. On another note, theyre never on time, even with an appointment.

I have been coming for over 25 years the Dr. is great but the Front staff are so rude I was just calling yesterday I called seven or eight times they would pick up the phone and hang up on me so I eventually had to call over to the industrial side just to get through when they patched me through to the other side when the receptionist answered the phone she was so rude so abrupt wouldn’t let me finish what I wanted to say you’ll be having a good day and then you go there and you have to encounter the front desk people and it’s miserable and this has been going on for several years but then I go there because I’ve been going to the same doctor forever he knows me and my medicines but I’m going to have to start finding a new family Dr. and that makes me sad.

My husband came to the clinic several months back. He had to get a letter for work explaining how long he could take the medication. They charged him $110, he wasn’t seen by the dr today or anything else. Just the letter!! This is ridiculous! They lost two customers. We had been patients for decades. Posting to warn the public.

We have been going to this clinic for years. We are very pleased with their service. Not once has the staff been unpleasant to either myself or my Husband. Weve seen the doctor as well as the NP/PA. No problem!!I agree that sometimes the wait in most MD offices is longer than expected. We have not experienced that. During our last 2-3 visits , we were in and out of the clinic in less than 1.5 hrs. Kudos to Jason!

The front desk was very polite and was knowledgeable with all the questions I had ask. The staff in the back were also very polite . The only draw back is a little wait time but because of the Doctors it is worth the wait. Dr. Andrew Metz will take time to listen and understand why Im there and for that reason I will keep going to him.

Wait time is always long, even with an appointment. They seem to think your time is not as important as thiers.

Dr. Metz has been my doctor for over 20 years. I have always had a good relationship with his nurses. I live in Spring....and drive to Deer Park. Through the years, the nurses have treated me very well. When someone goes above and beyond, and they are so busy, I will write a letter to the office manager giving that person the recognition of being kind and helpful.

Overall great experience. Wait time was very minimal. Everyone I interacted with was very nice, professional, and helpful. Dr. Smith is the best! Highly recommend DP Family Clinic.

I really like my PA Kristin Garner and really all of the doctors. They are very attentive and knowledgeable. The front office gets some negative feedback, but they seem to be multitasking quite a bit. Theyre direct but efficient in my opinion.

Had a 1:20 appt got their at 1 pm where I sat in lobby until 2 pm. Got taken back to room where they finally came and took my blood pressure and ask why I was their at 2:30. 3:15 finally got to see a Dr. Be prepared to spend the day! Appts mean nothing!

Ive had a wonderful experience each time Ive gone to this clinic. Doctors are excellent, staff is very friendly, and Im always seen quickly. I couldnt be more pleased!

Wait times can be long but they are there to help. Do expect 2-3 days on a referral turn around. They have a quest office in house, very convenient

Doctors here are usually nice. Front appt check in lady is rude and snappy. Has her name tag turned in but has long dark hair. If not for the snippy attitude and the fact that you show up for your appointment ON TIME and are not seen on time it would be ok

The organization of patients records and communication within the office is inefficient and you can waste a whole day. If you work or have a tight schedule please consider other options before scheduling an appointment

The doctors doc great Andy Metz is superior as well as his PAs. The nurses are personality lacking and the office staff needs training and personality training. They openly say Dont rely on what the computer says. I see frustration on the clerks faces and on the patients faces.

I’ve been to this clinic multiple times and have had an excellent experience each time. Thank you Dr Metz (and your team) for the quality medical care you’ve provided to me and my family.

Do not go here! Their walk-in clinic is very tempting but don’t. Very long waits (1+ hours in the waiting room then 1+ hours in the exam room) and overcharging you and your insurance.#1 They keep on billing my insurance for a smoking consult, I don’t smoke and haven’t talked to the doctors about starting.#2 I needed fasting blood work so I had to come back another day. The orders for the blood work were in the on-site Quest lab. They made me wait an hour. They charged me for a ‘Nurse Visit’, $30. I never even spoke to a nurse. If I would have gone to a regular Quest lab, it would have taken 15 minutes and it would have been free.I could write a book....

I recommend finding a different clinic. About half the time I go in here the staff is rude. When I called to get a refill they had me leave a message and it said they would get back within 24 hours. It has been 48 hours and I have not gotten a call back.

Ive been here several times in the past few years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are patient and open to questions, they try to get you in fast so the PAs will see you quickly, so they can be curt at times, but I do not take that as being rude. Every PA was patient, and answered all my questions. I will continue to trust them with myself and my family!!

Got there and everything was going on fine but then they forgot about me after 45min I went to ask and they had forgot about me! Need to find me another clinic. Also.some front desk ppl are rude.

This place is a joke! You never actually get to see a real Doctor, only Physician Assistants. I took my son on 11-20-2019, the physicians assistant that we saw was supposed to call in prescriptions for him that were never called in. She also said that it was “too early” to treat with antibiotics but if he began to run a fever to call and let her know so that she could call in some antibiotics. Needless to say, the prescriptions were never called in and it was after hours so I had to wait until morning to call and my son started running a fever that same night. When I call to see what happened to the prescriptions that they were supposed to call in, and to let them know that he was now running a fever, the woman proceeds to tell me that I need to alternate Tylenol and Motrin through the night and bring him back in tomorrow morning. So much for patient care!! You go there and pay your copay and they collect more money from the insurance company and then do not even treat you. Don’t waste your time at this clinic, they don’t do patient care, they just collect money. So if you are into just throwing away your money then maybe this is the right place for you.

This place is deserving of far less than 1 star. Staff is borderline rude, especially the one who answers the phones. Great first impression. Appointments mean nothing. You will wait for hours only to be put in a room and wait some more. You wont see an actual doctor, just PAs who think they know everything and actually dont. I have never had a PA who didnt come across as completely full of themselves. Last time I went there with an issue (other than them holding my medicine refill hostage until they got their co-pay money from a visit) I was grossly misdiagnosed. I ended up having a blocked vein that resulted in surgery and a 14 day hospital stay---the PA kept asking me if I had a cat. What??? The straw that broke the camels back was when I called in for a med refill, was told it would be called in, and then a week later (after I had already run out of the med) was called back by the same person I talked to initially to see if I still needed it. Its a maintenance med I take every day. Hmmm, do I need it? I will never go back there and I will loudly encourage any who asks to stay far far away. DPFC only cares about money.

I made an appointment at Deer Park Family Clinic because they offer immunizations my PCP does not offer. My ins pays 100%. The front office staff were crisp, boardering on rude. But once past the front staff the PA was very friendly and introduced herself. The med tech/nurse was nice but she did not introduce herself. All in all, I was satisfied.

My family and I have been coming here for many years. Yes the waiting time is HORRIBLE. Ive sat there for at least 2 hours before. However, the medical staff is great and the location is very convenient.

Ignore the people who say staff is incompetent, come in, come prepared, bring your information, be polite, make an appointment, and theyre perfectly amicable and they work with efficiency. I moved here looking for a new doctors office and was astounded by the number of clinics with bad reviews. So I came here expecting to wait about 2 hours and have the staff be totally rude to me. I was totally wrong and shouldnt have even looked at all the bad reviews. The staff were polite and courteous, they processed me very quickly and saw me quickly. If you come unprepared you will wait, and if its very busy you will wait but this is nothing unexpected when dealing with doctors offices. Every doctors office has long waiting times ESPECIALLY if you walk in, its nothing new. If you are new to Deer Park or just need a new doctor this is the place to go.

I love this place. There is not a unprofessional person there. Anytime I call they answer. If I do a walk in I dont wait long. Other places with an appointment I still waited along time.

Ive been to this clinic twice now and I am done. The first time was with an appointment and I had to wait an hour and the second time was as a walk-in and had to wait 2hrs and 45 minutes. The nurses and PAs dont really treat you with care because it seems the clinic is more concerned with throughput. (They forgot to take my vitals on the walk-in appointment.) Overall: long wait times, no real concern from staff, forgetful, and did I mention slow. Glacial really.

Staff are lazy dont want to help

This is a local clinic for me and my family but I try to avoid having to come here at all. I was recently in a car accident and didnt want to wait so I called to make an appointment. Phones would just ring and ring and then someone would just pick up and hang up. Multiple times. Forget trying to go as a walk in unless you want to be there for several hours waiting.

This is absolutely the worst clinic to go to. They do not care about you at all, they just want your money. The front staff is very rude. Every single time we have been here, we get charged something completely different. It is impossible to make appointments and when you do make an appointment, you will still be waiting at least 30-45 minutes. We have been coming here a couple of years because it is close to us even though we did not like them and each visit was the most stressful experience each time. Each time has been worse than the time before. Weve finally moved and will be finding another clinic If you can go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else, go there instead.

Came today 9/18/19 my asthma got worse ..I don’t have insurance but really consultation is 175 ..walked out and came to a reasonable price family clinic by spencer ..If you don’t have insurance I don’t recommend you wasting your time here !

I and my family have been going here for over over 10 years. Its true that you generally only get to see the PA, unless you request a doctor when making your appointment. While weve sometimes been unable to schedule an appointment quickly with the doctors, we have always had the option.Ive been pleased with the care provided. The front desk, well, I havent found any other health care facilities where theyre all that friendly and easy to work with, either, so Id say theyre par for the course. I have learned not to let difficulties with the office staff color my judgement of the care provided because lets face it - theyre not the one seeing you, analyzing test results, or writing prescriptions.

Been here a few times. And the wait is so long!! Went there this past Friday. I was in tears and nobody gave a damn. But its close too me when I need to see a doctor right away. And I never see a doctor always a PA. That doesnt listen or pay attention to what you say. Ridiculous. Wouldnt recommend this place. Staff up front is pretty rude too.. Just saying..

This place is a joke. Long wait times. Team of people who don’t seem to communicate about anything. We’ve had three people come in each asking the same thing the last person did. Clearly no one is talking to each other. It’s completely annoying. If you are one of those people that likes to wait in a clinic for hours on end, pay for the deer park elites Mercedes and bmw car payments, and talk about your symptoms and what not multiple times then come on down to your deer park clinic!

Ive been here a few times. The front desk staff is very lazy, rude and passive. The nurses are nice and the doctors are good at what they do. Unfortunately, I wait so long every time I come here. The front desk is the biggest down side for me, especially when waiting hours at a time.

The tale of two clinics. The doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs etc. were first rate. They were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and cooperative. The front desk was a disaster. After waiting patiently for 2 hours I watched the walk-ins that arrived with me go in. Another hour later the next group went as I sat. Finally, I asked Mary Anne if maybe they missed me. She was dismissive and rude. It says two hours or more was her reply. Then flippantly asked if I had an appointment as if walk-ins were not welcome. Luckily the doctor part came after the front desk part or I would be changing doctors.

Came in with flu symptoms... was told i had to pay 60 dollars on top of the clinic fee for them to take a flu test. The wait time is ridiculous be prepared to spend at least three hours here.

They must have stock with ITC Dr. REFUSED to see us for having any related symptoms during the week of ITC chemical leak. Harris county told us to see our primary care dr what a joke

Worst service. I waited 2 hours for my name to be called after I was told that they had 4 doctors in the office that day and that it shouldnt be long. Once I got into a room I waited 45 minutes and no sign of a nurse or anyone to take vitals or ask my why I was there or anything. FORTY FIVE MINUTES! At this point I went back to the front, got a refund and left. The staff was very impersonal and not helpful. Dont go here unless you cant go somewhere else. Ive been in and out of urgent care facilities in half the time.

Couldnt even get a visit scheduled here, they kept saying the scheduling book didnt go weeks in advance. What a joke lol

I do NOT like this facility. I do not agree with having to pay up front - I should have the right to have the bill sent to me if I feel it necessary. I also do not appreciate being charged $125 just to find out 3 weeks later that the pills I was prescribed NEVER got ordered. I am STILL trying to get my medicine. Do NOT bother with this place.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I hate this place. They make me so uncomfortable. The nurses seem nice and like they are working hard. However, every visit I have ever had a doctor has made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I get the sense that they are money hungry. Last time I went in they spent a very long time trying to convince me a natural bodily function that I have had my whole life(and a lot of other women have) that every other doctor has deemed as normal was wrong and wanted me to get extensive tests. After I asked her to stop attacking me on the issue, she once again attacked me on the phone when I simply was requesting test results from my previous visit. Also the wait is always long and the service is not very good.

Terrible. The doctor visited with me for 2.5 minutes, barely looked at my rash and said well it could be this but Im not sure it might be this, let me just give you this and if it doesnt work come back so I can make more money off of you Anyone suffereing from an illness please visit a holistic doctor. They will review every aspect of your health and really try to figure out how your problem started and not just keep the symptoms at bay. I figured out my rash is because Ive been consuming too much yeast, without this knowledge I would have continued my regular diet and the rash wouldve spread. You know what the doctor would tell me? Im going to prescribe you antibiotics, that SHOULD help. Actually, antibiotics would make it worse but since she doesnt even know how to correctly analyze my problem, here I am with a rash that has now spread to my face and I am unable to work. Leeches, the family deer park clinic is a place that is beneficial only to the people working there, because their making money off us. If everyone is actually healed then there are no patients for the doctors to make money off of. This might be why you visit the doctor regularly and are on 6 different medications. Natural Alternatives everybody please look into it.

Poor customer service. Rude front desk staff. Ridiculous policy for upfront payment before services are rendered. Tone of voice, demeanor, and attitude doesnt have much appeal for patients to return. Take your healthcare needs elsewhere. Awful experience.

Just ignore my swollen cheek that I came for and send me on my way to the ER because she didnt want to treat the problem because my blood pressure was high. They need to get better PAs. Ive been coming to this clinic for several years and I like Dr. Andrew Metz, the PAs, and the nurses but its the office staff I have an issue with. Theres always an issue with them sending in my prescriptions. They will put you on hold forever, if fact Im on hold with them now. They blame the pharmacy, the pharmacy blames them, and Im stuck in the middle babysitting both to make sure it gets filled. Ive waited weeks for a prescription to be filled. With my insurance some medications have to be approved so that adds time to begin with, not including the week it takes to get the office to do their job. It took getting ugly with the manager before anything got done, and Im a very patient person who dislikes having to be pushy and get mean but at some point this gets ridiculous.So bottom line: Great doctors, horrible office staff.

I was thrilled when I saw them building a family clinic in my neighborhood a few years ago with this clinic, that was so close to my home. Needless to say, I became a patient here. I didnt even mind that not once in 3 yrs did I ever really see the actual doctor that was supposed to be my Primary care physician. I only ever got to see his Physicians Assistant. I still came here however because they were in my neighborhood. Policy here for refills are pretty common as most physician offices in where you have to make an appointment for check up before doctor will refill your prescription. Well one of these times, I had been out of my High Blood Pressure medications for 4 days before I could get in to see the doctor. When I finally got there, I was feeling pretty bad, complete with some slight chest pain because I had been without my blood pressure meds for so long. When I got there for my appointment, I was approached by one of the girls at the front desk about a $15 dollar charge my insurance had mistakenly not paid on my behalf. I asked the girl if we could straighten this out after I got my medicines because I felt so bad. She refused to let me see the doctor until the bill was straightened out. She treated me like I was trying to get out of paying this bill. It was incredulous that after 3 years of making so much $$ off of me through my insurance that they didnt care about my well being over $15. I left that day and never looked back. I have noticed that this practice has grown and added many additions to their once small community clinic. No doubt they are doing pretty well collecting their money to expand. DO NOT GO THERE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY.

So i went to this clinic for a UTI, and i got checked out and apparently the Doctor said i was going to recive a call Monday morning because he found something fishy in my urynalisis test. He told me he needed to run more test, however for the meant time i would be taking antiobotics to last me the weekend. And with that said I payed everything i was told to pay and was on my way. So here i am Monday morning waiting on a call because i was very anxious and worried to find out my results. And once i recive the call , the receptionist tells me that the doctor did not go thru with the test because I didnt have INSURANCE. This really pissed me off because im over here thinking im in great hands when infact its the contrary. Needless to say I am very displeased with the service this is something that THEY could have told me BEFORE I left. Not to mention in my paper work and personally, I had told them I DID NOT have insurance. So for them to come up with that sorry excuse, is unacceptable and very unprofessional of them. I once thought this was a nice clinic but after this, i now understand the poor ratings. I will be taking my buisness else where from now on.

Use to love going here. Doctors are great! but since they expanded the staff doesnt seem to know up from down. Told i didnt need appointment to have blood drawn get there at 8 am they tell me i have to meet with doc before i get blood drawn I ask why because the doc wont know anything new without blood results. They ssy they will look into it but ill have to considered a walkin.....3 hours later i go back to desk ask what is going on cause walkins that came in after me went in....they told me they forgot about me.

I have been to this clinic several times. I must say that each time the wait was so long before even being taken back to a room. The staff seems to be more worried about their phones and being rude than helping ppl out. Of course once back in a room you wait forever just to be seen by a PA. Its funny to me because each time I have been waiting there has been someone yacking at an employee about their hair, clothes or nails. I got the impression that the lady doing the yacking was a manager of some sort. It struck me as funny because I did see her and man she needs to worry about the way she looks and she needs to do something with her blonde/brown hair. If you are a manager you really should worry about how your customers are treated and set a good example. Needless to say....I wont go back there AND I tell everyone I know how their staff sucks.

The office is beautiful, yet the PAs are incompitent. I was diagnosed with a life long disease before she was even willing to test me. I had to ASK to be proven the diagnosis. So I was finally able to get a blood test done. Come to find out I DO NOT have what she diagnosed me with. She was 100% sure I had what she thought I had and turns out it wasnt. She made my life a living hell for that week waiting for the results. I had a mental meltdown. She was so rude about everything and wouldnt listen to a word I had to say. Maybe you need a higher education before you go off and diagnos someone with a life long disease and not even give them the proper tests because youre so certain! Maybe I should sue this company for wrongful diagnosis.

Be prepared to wait as long as possible with really bad communication skills.

The staff is incompetent, they know nothing about insurance verification and will charge you for everything even after the insurance says it is covered at 100%.

I have been going here for 40 years and I am so sick and tired of being sick and never being able to get an appointment. I guess Ill be going to CVS again because of poor service.
