Dr Amin diagnosed my problem as allergies without scoping my nose or ordering a cat scan though I had 2 sinus infections while under his care. Ive now seen a proactive Dr of ENT who immediately did both and also treated me with an antibiotic specific to my bacterial problem. In retrospect, my visits to Dr Amin were a waste of time and money.

In 2016, Before I went to Dr. Amin, I was diagnosed with strep throat (through a Walgreens Minute Clinic...remember those 🙄) and given antibiotics. After a week of taking the meds, the soreness of my throat and ears didnt subside. Therefore, I saw my internist. I had to make him complete another culture on my throat because he said the pain I was feeling was in my head. Next, he told me sometimes it takes two rounds of antibiotics. After the third day of taking these, there was still no change. So, I decide to see Dr. Amin. He check my ears and my throat;. After about 10 minutes, he diagnosed it as acid reflux 😮!! (I never had heartburn...so this was silent). Dr. Amin told me it only takes a quick swift of acid to make you feel that badly. He prescribed an over the counter acid reflux med and told me not to take longer than.14 days because it would mess with the lining of my stomach, and then he presented a list of all the food changes I needed to make. I went cold turkey and gave up all acid foods, treated myself naturally, and in about 8 months all my symptoms went away. When I went back for a follow-up, Dr. Amin told me I needed to be his poster child because most people just want to take the meds for reflux. He also told me once I felt better, I could put certain foods back in my diet and then determine which cause the most problems. I thank Dr. Amin for determining my problem and helping me make better food choices (I also lost 12 pounds). Since then, I treat myself naturally with making sure I eat the correct foods. He did for me what my internist could not do. By the way, I never saw my internist again, I now see a naturopathic doctor.

Has a pleasant manner but doesnt explain things well. Tells you the surgery is nothing to worry about and recovery is easy. Then at pre-op they tell you recovery can take weeks. When the problem comes back good luck scheduling the in office procedure to fix it. It was so vaguely described it may not really exist. The scheduler only tells you she will have to ask the doctor each time you ask. She also tells you she will call you back. She wont and you realize after a couple months they have no intention of trying to correct anything.

Ive had sinus infections twice a year since I was 5 years old. In 2016, at age 60, I had two deviated septums, removed ethnoid sinuses, and a sinus reconstruction done by Dr. Amin. I am 63 now and have not had a sinus problem since.
