This new facility is so much better. Faster everything! I had an appointment and found parking with ease. Plenty of handicap accessible parking. It doesnt feel cluttered and dark inside. Nice and bright and CLEAN. The staff(mostly transfers from the main Decatur hospital facility) seem happier. Im happier. I actually got from the parking lot to my appointment with only one anxiety attack. Wish it would stay this way but Im sure everyone will flock to the new facility with all the negative energy. Such a shame. It really Is nice.

Great service for appointments and walk-ins. They help according to emergency, so sometimes had to wait a little but it was worth it,and they paid attention to my needs. Thanks for all you do and your patience with us.

Ive always been very satisfied with the quality of care. Sure because of the sheer size of it, one may have to walk around to find one department or another. But everyone has been absolutely caring and fantastic.

They have great days and very haphazard ones.Today was very haphazard. I had a 6 month card reading scheduled. I had an emergency come up and needed to report to my unit. I was informed that I’d have to wait. The 3hrs. I spoke with my specific case worker twice and received only a blank stare. The desk clerk informed me that she was two hours behind and had only spoken to two of scheduled cases. Several walk up patients were turned away (they were there for device issues) I helped one gentleman who was wheelchair bound. Others who admittedly had no appointments were taken directly to the techs. After speaking with one individual they took my card ( I thought they had it read) I thought I was awaiting my compliance letter only to find out the card hadn’t been scanned at all. After talking to a nurse who said that nothing could be done, took my card scanned it and gave me my usage report in 5 minuets. This was an extremely haphazard day.

I did my sleep study here and was told almost a year ago I was approved for the c-pap machine. I have tried numerous times over the past several months to get someone on the phone to have either the machine mailed to me or schedule a time for me to pick it up. They sent me home with the mask but no machine. Horrible service. Cant leave messages on the number I keep getting transferred to when you call the main VA number. Other than that the stay in clinic was nice.

Every time I try to get an appointment here it takes several months. They have a walk in clinic for M.H. However that certainly doesnt mean you will get seen or treated by anybody. They will just make you an appointment months out to come in.Update: TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

I am now on a waiting list to switch to the Stockbridge Clinic. Each time I have switched doctors I have been sent to a quack that is worse than the one before. They dont care about your problems. They just want to get rid of you. DO NOT expect to get competent healthcare here.

Its now OPEN as of APRIL 2015......its called the A.V.C (Atlanta Veterans Clinic)The entire Staff from the Old Decatur Clinic that was on Commerce Drive has been TRANSFERRED to the New Location. Its absolutely GREAT for me....as I only live a few blocks away.I was driving 40 Miles (Round Trip) to the Lawrenceville Clinic, and just TODAY they Transferred me to the New Clinic, which is about 1 1/2 Miles from my house!!!I was told that they STILL have No Available Primary Care Doctors to assign NEW CASES TO at the MAIN VAMC, located on Clairmont Rd.........just as well for ME, as this clinic is still closer than the MAIN VAMC.Its a great location because there is not a lot of Local Businesses next to it, and, its not IN THE CENTER OF DECATUR, even though they had PARKING AVAILABLE there, it was still NOT an Easy Ride to get to, because there was NO MAIN HIGHWAY NEAR IT.But....in the New Clinic (AVC), its only about 1 MILE FROM I285 (EXIT @ MEMORIAL DRIVE GO WEST ABOUT 1 MILE ON N. AVONDALE RD , MAKE RIGHT ON N. ARCADIA AVE, AND YOURE THERE).I hope that this helps a lot of Veterans, especially since its a MASSIVE CLINIC, as written above, and, since its SOOOOOO MASSIVE it should also be WELL EQUIPPED for many different FUNCTIONS. If not, then thats an AWFUL WASTE OF SPACE if they cant handle a lot of PROBLEMS.Good Luck my fellow Vets!!!And...Thank-You for your SERVICE!!!!
