Soooo obviously every experience is different but I will say this: I had NEVER been to VA dental before today. I heard the horror stories of Atlanta VA dental but I must say, from the phone call last week to getting in a chair this week it was a smooth process and I felt cared for. Albeit the staff (other than the dentist) seemed a little bit overwhelmed and frazzled but all in all it was a decent experience. Definitely not a 1-Star rating like the internet would have you believe. I didn’t wait long, they answered all my questions and I was in and out.

The dental clinic has not been seeing veterans during the pandemic. I have been told the only way to be seen is if u are getting a tooth pulled. The clinic has totally neglected veterans in need for dental services.

Just spent 65 minutes on hold waiting to make an appointment. I hung up and called back to the patient advocate office and have been on hold now (as of this moment) 55 minutes. Ive spent 2 hours on the phone trying to make one of the 3 appointments I need to schedule and havent even spoken to a real person. Unbelievable and unacceptable. Do I seriously need to drive to the va and wait in the line just to make an appointment? This is crazy.

Really should just get rid of this place. You sit on hold for over 1hr and a half & still don’t get the correct help you need! Worthless!

Please somebody tell me WHY is so difficult to link communication when you are in urgent need of VACC. It’s been a week since I was told I would receive a call for an appointment for IV sedation dentistry. Imagine my pain! I’m suffering and waiting, then I receive a letter telling me they are trying to contact me from V A. I have answered every call or missed call on my phone, and I try calling back to the extension on the letter.TheV ACC extension tells me they are having technical phone issues and send you to a voice mail. I cannot Reach anyone! All of the VA call center people re-routes to the extension provided and no one can help me with further instructions to receive Dental Care under VACC. This is AWFUL and all I need to know is where to go . CANsome real live person PLEASE help me with a POC to resolve this issue in Atlanta?

I spent over an hour waiting on the phone to make an appointment no one had the courtesy respect to even answer the phone, this is not how a medical Profession should treat patients, you need new leader ship and check your priorities if you was in our shoes how do you want to be treated?
