Went there for an eye-exam and new glasses after buying their Groupon. They were very safe in regards to cleaning protocols and safety due to Covid rules. The Doc was proffesional, personable and courteous. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns. The Tech that did the initial eye test, where they blow a puff of air into your eye was very nice and proffesional.The rest of the staff was also awesome, courteous and proffesional. Rob specifically in short, was exceptional. He helped me pick out the best frames for me and let me try on 10+ pairs of glasses and never felt pressured. He looked up the prices for what I wanted and was interested in and wrote out 3 different quotes. Again he never made me feel pressured or seemed annoyed by my questions. Ill definetlynbe returning here for all my eyecare needs.

Last time i ever go here. Very Unprofessional. The clerk Robert was was very rude and made very inappropriate remarks.

If I could rate a negative I would. I didnt even have my glasses for a week and the lenses are so scratched I cant wear them. Then they told me there is no warranty on their lenses. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. HAHA and they give you a piece of paper on your appointment day saying if you rate them 5 stars you will be entered to win a giftcard but ONLY if you rate 5 stars. This place is horrible. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

Fortney Eyecare is the best eye clinic comparing to others , staff are very well organized , front desk welcomed me in friendly way , clean clinic, short or reasonable waiting time, and before all of that the Doctor was so qualified, she have spent a lot of time with me to listening to my notes details about my eye health status ,get instant quality results after performing several eye tests, then she ordered to me a pair of eyeglasses paid by my insurance , my last visit was two days ago, this past Tuesday

I need a minor repair on my eyeglasses.They took care of me right away and did not charge me a dime. They were friendly and very helpful. Check them out on google maps as they have parking in the rear that is accessible from an ally. This shows up on the satellite image. I recommend them.

Pam took the time to sit down with me and, using my insurance, find the cheapest option. I was able to get the frames I liked, with the lense options I needed, and still be cheaper than America’s best. I also felt my exam was much more extensive, as was my glass fitting. I am on Medicare so my coverage is minimal. I used to go to this location when I was working, 15 yrs ago. I remember the girls in the frame area. Everyone there is very professional, just like it was 15yrs ago.

I have been going to Fortney Eyecare for years and have always been weary of ordering glasses / contacts from them since they can get too pricey for me. Last week, I decided to order contacts through Fortney since I was told that I would only have to pay $20 after insurance for a six month supply. Once the contacts came in, I was given six months supply for only the left eye and three months supply for my right eye. When I asked where by additional contacts were for my right eye, I was told that it would be an additional $60. I asked the woman who helped me why I was being charged extra when I had already paid the previous balance agreed upon, but I was only given a shrug and told “I’m sorry you were told that.” I’m never going back here and I do not recommend ordering through this company. I am so disappointed that I was mislead into purchasing contacts only to be baited for more money.

Salesperson was dishonest. My wife went there for an eye exam and glasses. Was charged $700 for glasses with bifocals and was told they were 100% refundable if she did not like them within 30 days. $700 for glasses seems absurd to me, but she took comfort in knowing they were refundable. She could not get used to the bifocals so went to take them back. They then claimed salesperson was mistaken and the frames could be refunded ($165 I believe) but not the lenses or anything else. At that point it was pay over $500 for nothing, or keep the glasses. We will never go back here.

They offered a free class to help my daughter learn to use contacts. Debra gave her a few tips to make the process go faster and safer.

Nice store and a HUGE array of frames to choose from! Sales personnel were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their frames. I have vision insurance, so I thought my glasses were covered up to $375. Well, they took my $375 and charged me an additional $280!! They said my glasses (with all of the upgrades) would have cost me $903!! I have never, ever bought glasses that expensive in my 65 years on earth. They said my insurance and discounts brought my out-of-pocket expense down to $268. Then they said I owed another $12 for something that they forgot. So, I paid the $280 in full. I went back a week later to pick up my new glasses. I thanked them and left the store. They yelled out to me before I got to my car. They said I owed them another $12, that the glasses were really $292. I refused to pay that as I had already paid them the $12 the week before. They talked me into getting about $100 worth of tests that I really didnt need. The optometrist, Dr. Saraan, was very nice and an EXCELLENT examiner. I guess I gave them a 3 star rating because I was so shocked at seeing the retail price of $903. Outrageous. They do a lot of glasses for the auto industry, so maybe thats where they get these pie-in-the-sky prices.

This is the WORST EXPERIENCE Ive ever had! DO NOT GO HERE! Doctors there are so unprofessional and Lowe is a pervert!!!! Manager is even worse! Blames the patients when things go wrong and lies. Shes didnt make things right when she said she would. I CANT SAY THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH....DONT GO HERE!! On top of all of this its the most expensive place to go!!!!

I went in to the Warren, MI office of Fortney Eye Care and received fast, efficient service. The eye exam was extensive, which was great, and the ophthamologist was courteous, informative, and personable.

My husband bought glasses from them, not knowing they were 2004 frames (we bought them in 2017). We found out because they broke a month later, and when I brought them in, they said they couldnt fix them, and we needed to buy new glasses. Clearly our insurance didnt cover another pair. Also, they never called me to tell me my contacts were in, as they said they would. So I called and they said they were there for so long, they put them back on the shelf. Very unprofessional.

One of the worst and most disgusting places I have ever been to. I was examined by a receptionist who did NOT clean the chin cup and forehead holder before or after I used it. GROSS! From there it got worse. The optometrist did not wash her hands BEFORE or AFTER examining me, nor did she clean the equipment prior to use. The lack of basic hand hygiene and infection control procedures are appalling! I raced home and washed my face with anti-bacterials to prevent any kind of infection. Then the reception/check out desk were to busy putting down other patients and reading magazines. I was told by an obese blonde lady to siddown till we call you, but not before snatching my credit card. The lack of hygiene and professionalism in this office will be reported by me to the state. Stay away from this disgusting and vile place.

Tried to charge an additional $80-160 fee for contact fitting. The man, or should I say child, working the front desk was extremely rude about how it was mandatory. He had no manners. No other place charges this much. Really run down looking office too!
