Very nice people and did a very good job on my teeth! Definitely my new dentist office

I have been coming to this office few years and I almost wanted to stop coming in because the previous Dental Hygienist always just did a fast cleaning and that was it. My husband however informed me that there is a new Dental Hygienist and that she was great and actually took the time to explain what the issue is rather then say brush your teeth and floss and send you out. She actually recommended products and took the time to properly show you how to take care of yourself better. The front office is always great and the Doctor is very professional. I will definitely be coming back to see the Dental Hygienist , it was definitely worth waiting for.

I’ve been going to River Oaks Dental for four years this is a new location on Warren Ave. they’ve always been very friendly helpful and dedicated to the services that they provide. I really appreciate Kim the receptionist she makes sure you understand your billing costs, the hygienist the, dental assistants. they will let you set up a payment plan, for your treatment, and they really take care of the children they come in for visits. They accept all forms of Medicaid, performs root canals, fillings, (white & Mercury). A great place if your looking for a new dentist.

I just moved to this office was at another dental office. The front desk staff are very helpful and respectful. I really liked how good the dental Hygienist was, she was very good at what she did, very helpful and really helped answered my questions. Overall I would say the only downfall is the long wait times seeing the doctor, the staff is really nice and friendly and really try to get you in and out but the long wait for the doctor is horrible, she is not so friendly though , gets the job done though.

The office is very pleasant and well kept . The ladies up front are so respectful and Kind and helpful. I came in only for a cleaning and it was a wonderful experience I have been seeing Ayat the Dental Hygienist for 4 years now and refuse to see anyone else and have followed her from office to office, she does such a detail well job that I am happy she works close to home now. I will deft, bring the kids in to the office the Doctor I did not see what she seemed really respectful and said hello as I was passing by. Thank you River Oaks

I really like the Dental Hygienist Ayat that works at the office, she is really friendly and professional and does an amazing job. Most Medicaid offices do not do a well job because its a Medicaid office but at this office the Dental Hygienist is great, I just hope we keep seeing here, it has always been hard for my family and I to find a good place. I would say the only downfall is the waiting period, I would hope it improves that is the reason for my 4/5 the waiting period.

I brought in my son for a cleaning appointment , and I must say the Dental Hygienist is AMAZING!!!! She greeted us so respectfully, explained the procedure very well, and made sure she reviewed everything with myself and him before any thing to be done. I was present at the full appointment and she really made sure that he was taken care of especially since he has severe anxiety. If you want your teeth cleaned you definitely would want to schedule with there dental hygienist , she knows what she is doing and really takes time to help her patients improve their brushing and flossing. I will be coming back. Thank you

Very well organized, had a great group of people help me out with understanding why I needed my fillings done, had the hygienist clean my teeth very thoroughly. The staff is kind and got everything done the right way, Ive been to a few dentists and they were all kind of rough, this office is neat, respected and they do their work. Will be coming here from now on!

HORRIBLE! I see a dentist every 6 months. I changed my insurance and ended up switching to Premier Dental who was a dentist also at River Oaks Dental... the dentist informed me I had 13 cavities I thought nothing of it and trusted her professional judgment. I had all13 fillings filled that same day. A few days later I felt pain that continued for 2 months. I kept going back to let the dentist know and she waved it off saying its fine until I asked her to please check it out. She then told me I need 4 root canals. I decided to go somewhere else to get another opinion. I did not need a root canal nor the 13 cavities filled! Please make sure if you are going here, you get a honest opinion!

Was going to this dentist for my dentures & partials. Was told by the dentist at my first appointment after getting 3 of my back teeth pulled at my next appointment I would be having my remaining back 3 teeth pulled. Not only did I wait almost 4 hours to just get numbed, I didnt have any work done. She embarrassed me and also treated me like what I wanted done didnt matter. She wanted to pull teeth VERY close to my front teeth and have me walking around looking like a bum. When I expressed these feelings to her she became very unprofessional. I will not be going back there again. I do NOT recommend this place, if you want to wait for hours on end, be belittled and have your concerns ignored go ahead this is the place for you.

The staff is amazing I went in not liking my teeth , bleaching and a few filings. Boom. Did I mention my teeth are now star status

I went in for my dental cleaning and made sure it was scheduled with Iyat, Worse place ever they told me she was going to be at the office and that I had an appointment with her but she was not at the office. They made me see some other Hygienist, she just cleaned my teeth and that was it no explaining and no education. Maybe that is why she isnt at the office it is a unorganized place. I will not be going back since she is not at the office I kept coming and brought the family and friends because she is so great.

I had my teeth clean and the hygienist was great. I was told by Dr. Macki that i would need a crown put on a tooth that was broke and cracked. I received a document for how much it will cost for the procedure out of pocket, it also has the price for the procedure and adjustment amount but it doesnt includes how much my insurance company will pay. Im having my primary provider changed. This place sounds like a rip off. I gave a three because my hygienist was great and so was the front desk staff.

I was very pleased with my first visit here I will be returning again. The staff was helpful and friendly and the dentist was gentle and informative about everything I needed done.

This is my second time coming to this office, and the reason why I came back is because my first teeth cleaning appointment with Ayat was very pleasant, However my appointment this week was another story, it took almost 2.5 hours to see the dental hygienist and then it took another 20 minutes to see the doctor. I really LOVE the dental hygienist she is great with what she does very respectful and really have not been to a office that does good cleanings like her, you can tell she is passionate about what she does. The doctor is also very respectful very kind and her fillings are very smooth. However my main concern is at the front desk, when you ladies are making the appointments why is it that you make everyone at the same time and have us waiting 2 hours for a cleaning, are peoples time and life not valuable ??? We have kids and priorities, what also got me really mad is I came in and the lady at the front Kim on her phone texting and just nodding her at head at me, like how do you address people that way ? I will not e coming back to this office no more. Long waiting time periods. its a loss because they have great staff in the back the doctor and hygienist are really good people.

I not only bring my kids to the office for treatment, I myself have had all my dental work done here. Never a problem, which say a lot. I live 45 mins away from the office and still choose to bring my family there

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Macki needs her credentials reevaluated.i had dental work done there and I have been in pain ever since. I spoke with her office manager Kim and the only thing that was recommended was another prescription of antibiotics!!!! She was lost on what she was doing and I was repeatedly misinformed about what teeth she was working on. Not only that, she did not address my concerns when I told her about the complications I was having. I paid cash for most of the work as well. she should be thankful that I am not suing her because I have the legal grounds to do so!!!!

Cost 1600 to fill a couple of cavities on my child. They said dont worry medicaid covers it. I think if I were to get a root canal here I would have to sell my house. POOR MEDICAID . GETTING RIPPED OFF LEFT AND RIGHT.

I came into this office few weeks ago and horrible office, so unorganized, long period times, short staffed is it what it seemed like and it gets worse the Doctor told me I have 14 cavities and asked if I wanted to do them today I felt it was unrealistic so I waited and I went in to another office i only had 1 cavity the other were stains , these people are filling stains and say they are cavities. smh . I am definitely reporting this to Medicaid . Its not fair for us people

Worse office I have been to, I was told by my friend to go there because their hygienist was good and actually took her time with the patients because it seems like every office do a quick cleaning and set you on your way. However it took 1 hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room to even go in they kept telling me it will be few minutes. It took another 20 minutes in one room waiting for the assistants to do xrays once the xrays were done it took another 20 minutes to see the hygienist and when I finally was able to see her, it seemed like they kept rushing her ever few minutes asking are you done move him to room 4 . then it took another 20 minutes or so to see the doctor. She barely spoke to me other then hello and and the assistant will go over the treatment with you. Unprofessional office, how is the assistant supposed to address my questions . Overall bad experience no toothbrush to offer only floss. I will not be coming back or bring my family to this office Not been I was told I have 7 cavities and was not explained anything when I was at a previous office and was told only 2, and the rest were stains. The only positive thing was it was clean office and they were somewhat friendly.

This dentist office is terrible! I had my first visit January 24, 2018 at 6:15 PM my son and I were both scheduled for an appointment at that time we arrived on time for our appointment we were brought to the back the dental assistant cleaned my teeth and my sons teeth the reason for my visit was for a chipped tooth in the front of my mouth dr. Maggie came in and did a very brief exam after my teeth were clean and told me that she would be able to fix or Cap my tooth that was chipped in the front of my mouth. after telling me that she would fix my chipped tooth she came back and told me that she could not fix it because the office was getting ready to close and that she had something to do so she had to leave. I was sent home with a chipped tooth in the front of my mouth. I was very angry and dissatisfied with the service that I received from this dentist office they had no compassion Or concerns about me. Granted the doctors office closes at 7 PM if the doctor is not going to complete the work that she promised her patients that she would do they should not schedule appointments at 6:15 PM and 6:30 PM I would not recommend my dog to come to this dentist terrible service !!!!!!

If I was able to give less than a star I sure will. WORSE WORSE place EVER . I called and explained I was in pain and they have stated something different then when I got to the office, very unorganized, very rude people, the Doctor has no idea what she is doing , she is afraid to pull out teeth and only refers out, what kind of office does not pull out teeth what is the point of going and explaining you are in pain. Worse place will not be going back and will tell all my friends and family to never go, long waiting times and very unorganized . The doctor and her assistant talk about other patients while they are working on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Had to come here because my insurance changed and they accepted what I had, I went there for a regular check up and had 10 fillings drilled in... I have never had a filling before and was not knowledgable on exactly what the dentist was doing. Ive been to 2 other dental offices within the 12 months prior to this visit and was never diagnosed with a cavity. Went back to my previous dentist and was told they were extremely unnecessary and heard about this office doing this to multiple patients. Thanks for ruining the ONE set of teeth I have. DO NOT GO HERE!

This was by far the worse dentist I have ever been to. I took my daughter there because she was having tooth pain, told them that when I made the apt. Day of the apt the rush me come in early just to have us wait almost 2 hrs and then find out the dentist wasnt even in the office. So they werent able to address her pain did an fast cleaning and told us to come back. And only after I called back to complain did the mention that she should be on antibiotics and something to help with pain at that point we were already home.The only good was that the staff stayed professional.PS. I hope they keep there new office way cleaner than this one

I used to love this place until recent visit. Was supposed to get several cavities filled. The doctor came in and gave me numbing agent and shot thereafter and began drillling my tooth only to STOP a few seconds later and began telling me how my insurance (medicaid) would NOT be covering these fillings which i had specifically asked prior if i was covered and i was told yes. The whole staff besides the doctor was so nice. The dental hygienist was awesome but this doctor was rude and had no people skills. She didnt once apologize or take blame..instead blaming the other staff. Will never go back bc of this experience! & think i was also treated badly bc i hace medicaid maybe? Or she was just a bad doctor!?

First off the staff here is amazing, theyre very good about finding appt times that work for me, confirmation calls, as well as calling to make sure I was okay after my procedure. Second Dr. Mackie is amazing. She goes over and beyond to make sure she can help you with all of your dental needs. I had a difficult extraction and because of her I didnt have to go to an oral surgeon. Which helped me save time, money and prolonged discomfort. Even though she was not sure if shed be able to do it (which she was honest about) she gave it her all and got the job done. I at this point trust her with my dental health and im fully confident that she will get my whole oral cavity to where it should be..healthy. I have a lot more work to be done, but extremely blessed to have her on my team. Shes also really nice and has great bedside manner. I cant remeber her assistants name but she is absolutely wonderful as well and their chemistry and team work in the office is Awesome. Patient for life. Ill be bringing my children here as well!

This place has to be the worse place I been to, not only do they make you wait for an hour just to get your xrays done but even after that they make you wait so long to get your teeth cleaned, then by the time you get to see the DR. she comes and has nooooooo idea what she is doing ... none at all.... NONE, ruined my fillings and oh they werent even cavities, I took my xrays elsewhere and they said they arent even cavities,, I am reporting her to LARA, and they harass you all day call you all day and night are you coming in today are you coming.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would continue to obtain services at this location.

Friendly staff! my experience has been great... dr Mackie is gentle and professional with her work so far Ive had a root canel with no problem, if u follow her instructions and do what needs to be done to get ur tooth fixed than you should nt have a problem, you cant have her do half the job and expect no problems

Most of the time in a dentist chair I am cringed. With Dr. Mackie I dont. Her best interest & intentions are in your wellbeing.Also,Amira the dental assistant helped make my pleasure & stay more conforting. Thank you Amira for going above and beyond for me. Thank you for helping calm down my nerves & answering my crazy questions.Unfortunately I will not get to visit these stellar professionals again until my next cleaning. I WAS SKEPTICAL AFTER READING REVIEWS BUT IT WAS NOT YOUR TYPICAL MEDICAL OFFICE, FRONT DESK GILF WAS SUPER FRIENDLY AND KNEW MY STATE INS, THE HYGIENTIST TOLD ME I NEEDED DEEP CLEAING WHICH I KNEW ALREADY, BUT UNLIKE MOST OTHER PLACES CLEANED MY TEETH ANYWAYS, SEEN A DR THAT DID A FEW FILLINGS AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM

Very bad business go else where there workers have bad attitudes and the Dr dont like black people and tends to his white patients first. Been waiting 2 hours and still havent seen a Dr. Never again.

Not very happy with my experience at this dental office, I waited 1.5 hours in the waiting room just to get a cleaning. These people schedule everyone at the same time they do not care about anyones time Will not be coming back. Bad service.
