Worst dentist office I have EVER dealt with in my life!! They told me they would put me on a cancellation list for two months now they keep stringing me along and neglecting me as a patient! Every time I call they have no recollection of what’s going on, they keep not putting me on the cancellation list like their promising! They do NOT care about their patients! They do not even do cleanings properly, they get you in and rush you back out to try to make as much money as they can! RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE receptionist who will argue with you about something you know your not wrong about! NEVER GOING BACK!

I came in for a routine cleaning and exam. Dr. Zheng was very polite and thorough. My cleanings in the past with other dentists have been quite painful and rushed. Not today! The doctor was friendly and made an otherwise not-so-great experience AMAZING! Definitely recommend!!

I came in on February for a check up because my tooth was hurting. They said I need a deep cleaning and an approval from my insurance. It took 5 MONTHS later for approval.

I had a tooth pulled they left some pieces of tooth in my gums I went in for them to look at and receptionist who is not a dentist says oh its just your jaw bone .ok coming from someone thats not a dentist that is why I was pulling out fragments of the tooth long story short she didnt want to see me. I had to call and reschedule an apt I started a new job I work 12 shifts I called to reschedule and same receptionist as befor started yelling at me you all says reschedule at the last moment. For one Ill take my money else where where they are more polite and courteous. Ive been going there for years this makes me hate dentist even more Ill never go back there again

My 2yr old just recently had a check up on her teeth and I must say the lady that helped her was very patient and kind to my baby. She made her feel comfortable and they did a great job managing all her extra energy if I sayso myself. I would recommend this dentist office for small children.

Started out as a fairly delightful experience. The staff was really good with my children. My oldest has autism and had a lot of anxiety about seeing a dentist, but they worked with him and were patient.The issue lies in the fact that I was told both of my children have cavities that need treated outside their facility. The first annoyance was that they know we have only medicaid but they gave me a list of referrals on which stated that the doctors who dont take medicaid were indicated by an asterisk. Every doctor on that list had an asterisk. So I took it upon myself to find a place that took my medicaid (University of Iowa). I asked them to refer me there.The initial referral was in November. I have called and asked to be referred to University of Iowa about six times now (some in person appearances.) I was told they refer to them all the time. I was told that sometimes it just took a few tries. Either they are not trying at all or someone isnt reporting a major issue with the referral system. I believe Familia Dental is 100% at fault here because theyre the referring entity and its just unprofessional to not follow through and ensure the referral is completed. I even had a lady there try to argue with me that shes not to blame and shouldnt have to do anything more! Im tired of trying to make them do their jobs and will be finding another dental office. You should too!

This was the very first time my kids and I came to Familia Dental the staff is so amazing the doctor is very thorough. The place is very nice and clean it is the best dentist I honestly have been to in years. I definitely reccomend others to get the dental work and check ups done there. VERY SATISFIED THANKS TO ALL STAFF AND DOCTOR AT FAMILIA DENTAL

Familia dental has the best staff. Very friendly, kind, and personal. They listen to you and explain what needs to be done. They are simply the best dental office.

They are not personal with you at all I sat for 45 minutes for a 5 minute cleaning and brief chat . The doctor barely took the time with me at all and didn’t really say much besides floss and that it would take me 3 months for them to refer me somewhere else to get what I needed done . Will not be returning unless I cannot find anywhere else to accept my insurance .

I needed an extraction done as I had a tooth that I had let go for FAR too long. They made me PREPAY my $400+ bill prior to extraction. I was asked to leave dental chair & go to the front lobby to pay while wearing my dental bib? How embarassing. I have NEVER had this happen.After the extraction, I have experianced higher than expected pain even though I was and still am doing what they told me to do for after care. I called the office and my call was never returned. After another day of no callback, I called again. I returned to the office to be told that it looks like a normal extraction site & it was a simple extraction & should not be very painful.Completely disgusted at the inconsideration given. First, they made me feel as if they didnt think I could afford the bill by making me prepay & then my complaint was dismissed as if it didnt even matter or exist. Terrible. Dr. Zheng & familia dental would NOT be a recommendation.I cancelled my future appointment & left.

The staff is real professional and nice. They are very family oriented and they know what they are doing when it comes to taking care of teethe and how to treat clients especially when it comes to a very active 2 year old.

Went there three times over one tooth. They tried local anesthesia two of the times for a simple tooth extraction. Neither time were they able to get me numb enough to pull the tooth. They tried anyways however chipping the tooth, exposing the nerve and making it even worse. They had me on antibiotics for two weeks and ibuprofen 800. They never sent the referral over to iowa city oral surgery either. So I had to go to Iowa City and be seen on an emergency basis to have tooth pulled. They got me numb in seconds and tooth pulled within minutes. This place is a complete joke. From the receptionist to the two female dentists who should both be out a job! They cant even pull a tooth. They are the worst dentist Ive ever experienced or anyone in my circle of friends and family have ever heard of. Definitely wait to get in somewhere else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT FAMILIA.

My husband was in terrible pain from a rotting wisdom tooth. We called our dentist over and over with no answer, we even went to their office and no one was there. So I googled dentist in our area and Familia Dental came up. I called them and they got us in within the hour. The techs and dentist were incredibly nice and they pulled his tooth that day! I cant thank them enough and we are switching our whole familys dental needs asap.

I was not impressed with the dentist. She was not very communicative and I felt she was quite rough. I have an appointment to go back in March but will find another dentist to go to. I do not know her name.

Without a doubt, the friendliest, most respectful and efficient dental practice that I have ever experienced. They consistently and effortlessly provide quality dental care in a timely manner, all delivered with a genuine smile.

I would NEVER recommend this slum of a dentists office. They had a half hour to an hour wait time (I waited 1 hour before I walked out) and I was never notified of it by any staff. I sat and waited until I was called back after 25 minutes past my appointment time, was then told by the dental assistant, “we’re running late today” then disappeared for another 37 minutes without checking back in. I was in the back room with a dental bib on by the time I realized it had been officially over hour with zero dental work performed and decided to get up and leave. I feel like my time and myself as a patient mean’t nothing to this office and was treated as so. If you need an office true to appointment time I highly recommend a legitimate dentist office, this place was unorganized, slow and unprofessional as all get out.

Horrible went in at 2:30 and left out at 5 just for them to take 6 X-rays and for the people to come check on me two times and for the to not help me for what I was there for I will never go back again EVER

I went to their website online, put in the Davenport location and scheduled my appt through there. I input my insurance and everything. I had a confirmation email on my phone. This was for an emergency appointment. When I got to the front desk, the lady there (who was very nice about things) informed me that I did not have an appointment. When I showed her my email confirmation, she said she was going to get me in. She then asked for my insurance only to tell me they dont actually take my insurance regardless of the website saying they did. So now I took my lunch break at work to go to this office which was so upside down that I was turned away at the door, still in excrutiating pain.

They are very nice and super helpful! They where able to work me in with my husbands appointment because I was having horrible pain in tooth that stared that morning. I could not be more thankful. The staff very nice and knowledgeable. Would 10 out 10 recommend.

I recently had some dental work done. I had never been here before, so I had a little trepidation. I was greeted by the friendliest receptionist And it only got better from there. The Doctor and her asst. Were so kind to me. I would definitely recommend this place.

They lie about whats going on in your mouth. They say you have cavities when you dont. They say you need a root canal and you dont. Several people in my family have had this experience. They said a 3 year old had 6 cavities while the child has never complained of any pain. Had her checked out by someone else and there were no cavities. Not sure why theyre trying to get over on people but it needs to be stopped.

Got my teenage son in fixed his teeth with no problem even worked with me about allowing my son to get the stuff done he needed while I stopped at Walmart!! They were polite and I felt welcomed there

They were very nice. When getting my xrays they very nice and careful. The last place i went dug into my gums. They explained what i needed.

Rude staff not very pleasant with patients n can prescribed anything for pain just keep persistently prescribed antibiotics

Me and my family have been here for 3 hours and only me and my sister got checked out. People are nice and welcoming but would much rather talk and chit chat then help their patients! I just switched here and i’m already needing to switch again. I would definitely never come here again!!!

I had my wisdom teeth pulled at this office and it was as pleasant of an experience as you can ask for. Nothing like pulling teeth (pun intended). The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the doctor was very professional and explained everything in detail. I would HIGHLY recommend this dental office to anybody who has fears of the dentist because they made me feel very comfortable and I will be returning for all my dental work in the future. 10/10 experience

My wife and I struggled to find a good dentist in the QC area that would accept our insurance plan. After some trial and error, Familia Dental was recommended to us. Being completely honest, we were reluctant to go there at first, but we are so glad we did.The dentists there are very competent and patient. They greet you as if youve been friends for years. They are very engaging and transparent when it comes to getting work done. Youll always know what theyre doing, how theyre going to do it, and the follow-up is impressive.Weve never had an issue getting in. My wife has had 4 visits now and each visit we were able to pick a time that worked best for us. They send you a courtesy call before every appointment to make sure you dont forget.The actual dentistry is beyond what we could have expected. Both my wife and I are phobic when it comes to needles and drilling, but thats a thing of the past. Ill quote my wife: Didnt even feel it. No, Im not exaggerating, either. Where we once looked to dentistry with anxiety and a sense of dread for pain and complication, we now get excited that our issues are going to be taken care of.She had bonding done that looked very professional. Her drill and fills were painless and strong. We cant say enough about their staff.Weve been recommending Familia Dental to just about everyone we find. Dead serious, you wont find another dentistry like this... not ever. Well when I went in for my filling this one doctor didnt wanna do me cause Im her nephew ex girlfriend and I think thats rude cause I heard exactly what she said in the other room while I was waiting and thinks I dont recognize her well I did when I saw u when u brought me back

The staff is friendly, but if you call you get some national phone bank who is not very helpful. I have been in twice and both times the dentist who saw me was very unprofessional when it came to explaining their report of findings and the recommended course of action. Very dissatisfied with the communication and the care now that the filling they gave me lasted less than two weeks. If you need somewhere cheap and easy to get into, I guess they are your place, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. In this case it seems to be recent U of I grads who need some polishing.

Prior to this appointment I would have rated higher.. Appointment at 3, got here early (5-6m) waited until after 3:30 to even be brought back. Waited about 10 more minutes, numbed my daughters gums, waited over 17 minutes as of this moment we still havent even started, its 4:07. Been here over an hour. Doctor JUST came back in.I dislike having my time GROSSLY WASTED. And it looks like this 1 hour appointment is going to run till nearly 5. I am heated.

The dentist was not friendly she was rude and talked to me like I was dumb. I went in for a toothache and she pulled my tooth before I was numb and the was mad towards me because after 3 tries I still had filling then told me I couldnt suck swallow or spit for 4 weeks then told me to drink water and dont eat hot stuff but I can have soup I would not recommend the dentist but the rest of the staff was nice and friendly. 5 star to everyone on the staff except the dentist

Lies, misinformation, nickle and dime. These people will flat out lie just to break up appointments into several visits just so they can slam your insurance over and over. Failed to provide full and accurate info in timely manner, avoid like a plague ward.

Absolute waste of time. Sat in the waiting room for almost an hour with our 5 f 7 year olds before the receptionist called us up to tell us our dental insurance was not active. (I had given them all if our insurance info when I made the appointments weeks ago) the receptionist printed off our insurance info and we quickly realize she was entering the primary holders social security number wrong. Corrected the number on the receptionists paperwork for her to reverify it and continued to wait. Were again called up and told it was inactive. We were told they could still see our children for a preventative exam (without the insurance) and since we were already there we said sure. Another 20 min go by and we were still not called back. We had been there almost an hour and a half at this point and ended up walking out. I called our insurance provider once we got home and our dental insurance is active and la familia was in network so obviously the receptionist had continued to put the wrong info in even after we corrected it on her paperwork. I will be finding a new dentist to use from now on.

My girlfriend has an allergy to flouride and mercury... when she told the staff they laughed at her. Major disrespect. Allergies are a legally protected class. She cant even tolerate tap water. Dont go here if you have special needs, they will disrespect you. Go to Best Smiles Family Dental of Davenport, they will accommodate you.

Went there with my wife. she had issues with pain so they wanted to pull the tooth. ok fine. then they didnt wait for the novacain to kick in and started pulling. when it would budge and she was complaining of the pain the decide to cut the tooth to get it out. still was hurting her then they go oh well nothing we can do and told us to go to iowa city. didnt do anything to cover it and help her. dont ever go here.

This office is impossible to deal with. I would have given a negative score if I could. For over a year they have insisted that my son has different insurance that he does not have. They keep saying that his insurance company keeps telling them that but when I call the insurance company they have no record of of any other insurance. My insurance company even sent them confirmation and they still say that he has a different insurance. Office staff is rude.

Horrible experience!!!! Went to have a Tooth removed the dentist assured me he could fill it and I would have no problems on March 1st I returned because the filling had fallen out the dentist on duty that day insisted that I have a root canal. I insisted I did not want to root canal so just to pull the tooth when I would not follow what she wanted to do they then kicked me out saying I was being uncooperative and confrontational then went as far as to say I threatened staff which none of the above are true I just stated I would not have a root canal pull my tooth. I called their corporate office about the visit on March 1st they agreed with me it should be my right to Medical Care and my choice of the care I receive approximately two weeks went by and I was contacted by them wanting to know if I would like to come back out on June 21st to see my original dentist. I stated yes and called this morning to confirm my appointment I then went to the location where I was told I did not have a appointment they do not know why I was told I have an appointment and I would not be allowed to be seen there because I was confrontational on my last visit. I stated that I had a recorded phone call from both of them calling me and setting up the appointment and the confirming it this morning .

I really like the dentist. She is great but I do have a problem with whoever makes appt. Every time I make an appt. I get a text for a completely different time. Also, I have to wait til June to get a filling done an that appt was made 3 weeks ago an I just received my lower plate about a month ago an need a little tweeking done yet an now the appt for may 10 which I just made on phone came back in a text for the 23 of may. I called back an they said they dont have anything til the 23, than why was I told the 10. Not real happy.

First time Ive ever been there & I had a 4th left of my wisdom teeth on the bottoms.. & they finally pulled em out.. no wait or anything, & cleaned me teeth also.. Ill be there in cple days to get my cavities filled.. thanks guys.. they actually care about your teeth unlike chc

This is a great place to have your familys dentist... my daughter had some tramu done to her front 2 teeth and it has been a struggle for years... since coming to familia dental she has had great progress...and the staff is excellent! Diffently a 5 star experience so far..
