Incompetent dental work that should never even been completed. Overcharged my credit card without my knowledge or consent and despite multiple emails and calls refuses to resolve the situation. Go to Main Family Dental at your own risk!

Man, how great is this place? My visit was very atypical: I hadnt had a cleaning in about a year or so, so as your can imagine there was work to be done. What I didnt know is that I had a cavity. Although it was a small one, the thought of getting a filling was not something I was ready for, as I am terrified of needles in my mouth.However, I ended up getting it removed and it was not nearly as painful as I had initially thought. All of this procedure was done with ZERO numbing agents, although I was also offered this option which I politely declined. So if you have a fear of needles in your mouth and wonder if there is any way you would be able to get a cavity removed, this is where to go.I cant say enough fantastic things about the kindness of the staff and their ability to make me feel at ease. They were truly amazing, and Ill be a lifelong client. Rock on!

This place is awesome!I was originally hesitant because I haven’t had good luck with dentists. In the past I’ve only experienced judgmental dentists and staff. But at this place it isn’t like that at all. Everyone was super nice, I never once felt judged or unwelcome. Dr John did a great job! I had Lisa this time and she was so sweet and very informative and did a great job keeping my anxiety down during my visit! She even made sure to have someone check in on me the next day just to see how i was doing since I had some discomfort during my appointment and I really appreciated that! We recently moved to Iowa from Green Bay, WI where we didnt have a dentists, because when I went to Fay Dental in Green Bay, WI the hygienist I had was very rude and disrespectful to me so we didnt go back. So when I went to Main Family Dental Care I was very pleasantly surprised of how nice everyone is, and the best part they dont judge you no matter how your teeth are. My hygienist was super nice and I didnt feel judged at all, and matter a fact she was very caring and gentle with me when she did my cleaning. I am so happy that they where the first dental place I found and called, because I feel I can trust them to do all my dental work. My husband had his teeth cleaned also, the same day, and recently he had to go in for an emergency tooth extraction and they took him in as soon as they could to pull it. So if you are looking for a dentist where they treat you with respect and make you feel like you are cared for then you should definitely choose Main Family Dental Care for all your dental care needs because they are so very well worth it. Poor because of their office management and process. They overcharged me, and havent reimbursed me. They required I pay for services up front for worse case outcome before they would initiate extraction of wisdom teeth. It turned out to be extremely easy. They then bungled refund through a series of credit card transactions. They sent me home, and said they would take care of it. IT IS NOW OVER TWO MONTHS, AND THEY HAVE NOT. I have called numerous times, They will not return calls. The person in charge is rude.

Had fillings done a couple weeks ago and was having sensitivity issues. Main Family Dental gladly scheduled a follow up appointment and found I was brushing too hard, which was causing sensitivity. The appointment was basically educational, and they did not charge me for the visit. Everyone is very friendly and I highly recommend them! Thank you Main Family Dental!

I was extremely impressed by Dr. Griebahn and his staff. Everyone was professional, yet very warm and pleasant. My family just recently became new patients and visiting their office felt more like a visit with family who deeply cared for us. Dr. G is amazing! Last year I had a tooth that should have been a root canal but the dentist I was going to at the time just filled it. I had a massive infection and could reach anyone at the dentist office I was going to. I searched online for an emergency dentist and came across Dr. G. He took care of me and saw me in the office first thing Monday morning and called to check on me more than once over the weekend. I switched dentist immediately. Everyone in the office is so nice. They are understanding and it’s just a great atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. G to anyone who is looking for a dentist!

The facility was very clean, the front desk workers were very nice and helpful and my hygienist and I had a lot of good conversations! The dentist was also nice but my visit with him was brief only because there weren’t any problems with my teeth. Their prices are reasonable and they mailed me a hand-written thank you card which I think added a great personal touch! I absolutely recommend going to them for your next dental visit.

Great service. They got me in the day I called. The receptionists were very helpful with assisting me in gathering my insurance information, and the doctor was extremely gentle with my toothache. He explained everything about my condition and the medications he prescribed very clearly. I was told to call back if my condition did not improve or worsened at all over the next day or so. I am very satisfied! I highly recommend.

This was my first visit here. I was very impressed with how thorough they were in my examination. They showed me all the pictures and x-rays. They made sure that I understood what they were showing me and also that I knew just what the procedures would be. Also, they explained what would and wouldnt be covered by insurance. They tried to make it as comfortable a procedure as possible. Everyone was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dr G. Is straight to it and thats refreshing. He doesnt waste your time or your dollar. His staff is pleasant , well trained and very procedural. They work well to accomplish task in an efficient manner. Thanks to the entire staff and intern that listened and got me seen right away. Consistently thorough and thoughtful treatment from a staff that is very accommodating. I am always made aware of treatment options available when faced with a dental procedure beyond regular cleanings, and because I have no dental insurance, interest-free payment plans have been offered. I have been a patient at main family dental since January and they do amazing work. I had a crown done and am going to get 2 fillings and its simple and pain free there. I love how they provide pictures of my teeth so I can see what they see. The staff is very friendly and does not pressure you into work, they will tell you what needs to be done but they are not forcing it into you unless it is a real issue. Im so happy I found them!

Davenport is a difficult city to find good doctors with good staff. That is especially true with dentists. We moved her this past summer and it took three months to get a doctor to accept us. It was 30 days for a dentist, but only because Main Family Dental Care answered their phone and were wonderful to speak with. I called nine dental places and left messages that were never returned or they just didnt answer at all. It has been so pleasant to work with everyone at Main Family DC and my first visit yesterday was a comfortable as I was hoping. They made me feel like I had been their patient for years. Please give them a try because you are going to love it there.

Dr. G is amazing at what he does! I have a chip in my front tooth. Dr. G fixed my chip 8 years ago and did a fabulous job! I had another dentist do it and it only lasted me a short time. I called Dr. G to see if he could fix it for me again and it looks amazing! You cant even tell that there is a chip in my front tooth. He really takes his time and cares about his work. I went in to get my tooth filling fixed that another dentist didnt do correctly. I wasnt able to eat on the right side of my mouth for entire 2 months. Was able to get in fast. Dr. G was able to take the old filling out and completely and precisely redo the filling. He even called me the next day to ask how I was feeling! I took him to Main Family today, where we were kindly greeted right away. The place was also super clean. The doctor was confident and reassured me that he could fix my son’s teeth right away. That instantly gave me some relief. After the treatment, he called me back and I was amazed at how great they looked. My son has been happy all day and even said he likes them better than his old teeth. Lol.

I was referred to Main Family Dental Care by a friend of mine who consistently raved about the friendly and professional service he received from his dentist. I have since been twice for routine dental work and the staff is friendly, courteous, and very attentive to my needs. They even offer snacks and beverages in the waiting room. An additional plus is that for both of my recent visits, I did not wait for more than one minute in the waiting room before someone retrieved me. Wish I could say that about my general physicians office. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend this practice for dental care!

Ive now gone here twice. Each time Ive had a different hygienist clean my teeth. Everyone is very welcoming, nice, and professional. They dont nag you to floss, or brush, but they do advice upping your routine if youve been slacking or showing some wear on your teeth! Usually on time, and very quick (about 45 minutes per cleaning) without it feeling rushed, or like you are just a number on the sheet. I truly believe the best thing for my husband and I was transitioning from Aspen Dental to Main Family Dental. :)

I live in the Iowa City area that contains a zillion dental offices and I drive 60 miles one-way to have Main Family Dental Care do my dental work. Am I crazy? I dont think so! I enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the professional manner in which the procedures are done, the helpful explanations of the procedures, and the nearly painless manner which they are accomplished. The cookies and snacks top off the whole pleasant experience. The only painful part is the gas money, but it is well worth it!

I originally decided to give Main Family Dental Care a try when shopping around for having a cavity filled. They offered both traditional and modern methods and at a lower cost. However, upon evaluation of X-rays, Dr. Dague delivered some hard news about my tooth. After much discussion about options with long-term results, we decided to go with a crown (much more expensive, but a permanent solution). I appreciated her candid approach with me, and the dental care itself was exceptional. She and all of the assistants and hygienists have terrific bedside manners. The crown feels natural and is a good fit.

Main Family Dental is an excellent place to go for QUALITY dental service. Ive been going there for about five years now after a childhood of little to no dental care. If youre like me, then you know the fear of going to the dentist. Ive always felt very welcome and reassured when I go there. Im finally cavity free and so HAPPY!!! I wont go anywhere else.

Main Family Dental has been a great office to work with. They are always friendly and appointments run on time, even early at times! I love that they have evening hours so I dont have to take off work to get there. They have been great with my three year old, and know just how to make it a nonthreatening environment for my toddler.
