My 5 year old daughter had a labial frenulum also known as a lip tie. I was thinking of taking my daughter to a plastic surgeon to get the lip tie corrected. Which means she would have to be put under and of course dental insurance wouldn’t cover it. I was already nervous about her being put under. My friend is a patient at Cornerstone Family Dentistry and she told me her two daughters had a lip tie and the Dentist was able to do the procedure in office with just numbing the area. I made appointment to go talk to the Dentist to see what they would suggest. From the time we entered the building until the time we left the whole staff was very friendly. They blocked enough time out, they were able to do the procedure right then. The good news is my dental insurance covered part of it and I never had to be worried about my daughter being put under. Another great thing is my daughter never cried when they did the procedure. So it was painless for her which is great! We had to come back for a checkup and the staff was super awesome! I highly recommend this place!

We have had the absolute BEST experience at Cornerstone with Dr. Mindy and all her amazing staff! We absolutely love her “pain free” approach to dentistry with our young children. No drilling or numbing at all to get their cavities fixed with their techniques. My 5 year old sat happily to get her (several) cavities fixed, hopped down to get a prize and walked out smiling. Not a single tear! Even my 3 year old did extremely well! With 4 young children, We will be happy return customers for very long time!

We had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Mindy and her staff. My son was very scared and anxious about the appointment and any procedure, but Dr. Mindy was very patient with him and spend a lot of time trying to calm him down, she took the time to talk him through the procedures. She never talked down to him or apply pressure if he was not ready for the procedure, she was honest with him about what she was doing. Dr. Mindy is very professional, she took the time to explain what needs to be done and provides valuable advice , Its not easy to find a good dentist for your kids, I highly recommend Dr. Mindy and her staff for kids and adults.

We recently had a baby and were told mixed messages from the doctors at the hospital whether our baby had a tongue tie or not. We decided to hold off on moving forward with the procedure not wanting to have something done that wasnt necessary. After weeks of having feeding issues, we decided to at least go and have a consultation. Dr. Mindy and the lactation consultant Natalie immediately noted that the tongue tie needed to be addressed and was what was causing our feeding issues and could potentionally impact his speech in the future. The procedure was 2 minutes and feeding was sooooo much better afterward. I highly recommend at least going and having a consultation if you are getting mixed messages. It could have saved us a lot of late nights with feeding problems.

The staff is great and always so friendly and helpful! They are wonderful with kids and very honest and throughly explain any issues.

I had a tooth that broke and was causing so much pain. There was no appointments available from the big oral surgeons in the area. I contacted Cornerstone and Dr. Mindy was able to see me same day. My teeth roots are extremely long and difficult to deal with. Dr. Mindy rocks! She was awesome at getting it out. My dentist is getting ready to retire. I will be switching to Cornerstone. Amazing sweet staff and amazing place.

The staff and Dentists at Cornerstone truly become family even after only going for regular cleanings! As a college student, I found them affordable! I followed them during their move across town, even when that meant I had to bike when I used to walk to them on my same block! They are worth the cross town bike ride and drive for me! If only cross country flights were cheaper, because after moving I miss the familiar faces and comforting care!!

Dr. Mindy and her staff provide exceptional patient care! We originally found her a couple of years ago when our daughter needed to have a tooth pulled after trauma to the tooth occurred. We were so thankful for the professional and kind services that we switched our care to her office. We recently had our newborn baby tongue tie revised and are very pleased with the results. She goes above and beyond by having a kind of knowledgeable lactation consultant there to guide you as well!

Ill be honest that before finding Cornerstone Dentistry I avoided the dentist at all costs due to bad past experiences at other places. Dr. Mindy is so knowledgeable, kind and figures out stuff that none of my other dentists have been able to in the past. Ive had a great experience with all the hygienists but I was particularly grateful for the time Robin took to answer all my questions and not make me feel put down as I have experienced at other places in the past. They make you feel comfortable and at home while empowering to take care of your oral health.

Dr. Mindy and her staff are the most incredible team of dental professionals I have ever experienced. Not only so I feel like family walking in, but the care, delivery, and wait times are always excellent. Dr. Mindy is extremely knowledgeable and also breaks down the information into easy-to-understand terminology. They’re great with my kids too, even watching them for me when I have an appointment and don’t have a sitter. I appreciate their customer service, friendly service, and willingness to always go above and beyond standard care so much. They’re definitely the best of the area.

I had a wonderful experience meeting Dr Mindy and Natalie. Both were very professional and ethical. Natalie even have me her personal cell phone # if I had further lactation questions. The office staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside was about the building itself. Theres 6-7 stairs into the facility and a very long staircase into the basement where the evaluation was held and thats not ideal when lugging around a car seat. But overall all excellent experience.

Great dental office, where you feel like part of the family from the 1st step through the door. A warm welcoming Staff, and experienced hygienists ensured my visit was comfortable. I have been going to cornerstone for over 3 years now. They have been nothing but good to me. Nobody is upset to be at work. Seems like everyone is just so happy to see each patient no matter who it is. You are always welcomed with a big smile and efficient service. I have the best hygienist I could ask for. Both dentist are very understanding when you say something about your teeth and how you want it to be. I got Veneers and I was not satisfied with they way they looked and they are going to redo them for me. I’m very nervous when it comes to touching my teeth. When I go there I don’t have to repeat myself because they remember. It’s almost like you feel like family there. Cornerstone Family Dentistry is truly one of the best dental offices around. All of the staff are so talented and caring. We have 3 little kids who have never feared going to the dentist because everyone is so kind and gentle. Our 5 year old had to have a cavity filled and we were simply amazed at how smooth it went! Year later they send a blank bill no explanation of services expect me to pay something without reason. I will not recommend them they sent me to a collection agency where is was bullied for $68 bill with zero explanation of services provided solid idiots at all levels.

I lost a filling Friday night (in a front tooth) and contacted Dr. Mindy to see if she could see me on Saturday morning. She told me to come in at 10am and she and her assistant fixed my tooth after they both finished running a 5K. Im so grateful!I wrote the above review several months ago. I had another dental emergency over the recent holidays. Dr. Peterson met me at the office on a Sunday to repair my tooth. Again, another front tooth that I just couldnt delay getting fixed. I appreciate both doctors dedication and willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure my dental needs are met - no matter what day it is! :o)Yesterday, I went in to have 3 front teeth prepared for crowns and my plastic, temporaries look amazing! Cant wait to get the permanent ones.Cornerstone accepts my primary and supplemental dental insurance plans. They have a beautiful office with awesome staff. I love the efficiency of this office. Every time I come in for any services the staff is very friendly and helpful and they use some of the most recent procedures to get things done. Everyone is super friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. They worked with me to get my daughter seen right away, even as a new patient, because of an emergency, and they made sure that I didn’t have any issues with insurance. My 6 year old runs from the car because she loves it so much, and with a child who has both problem teeth and anxiety, that’s priceless.

Cornerstone Family Dentistry is absolutely amazing!!! We took my 1 yr old granddaughter in for a lip tie. After an examination we found out she also had a tongue tie. Dr Mindy performed surgery the same day we didnt have to make another appt to come back for surgery. Later in the day Dr Mindy took time out of her day to call and check on my granddaughter to make sure she was ok. The entire staff was wonderful!!! The time they spent with us in explaining everything and the care they gave my granddaughter was outstanding. One of her staff members held & rocked my granddaughter and played with her while Dr Mindy went over surgery procedures. We love Dr Mindy and her staff!!!! This will definitely be my granddaughters dentist for future dental services. Also their office is clean & child friendly.

Wow! The BEST dental experience I have ever had! Christie the hygentist was wonderful and took her time to explain everything that she was doing and the reasoning behind it. Dr. Mindy was so kind and took the time to explain my concerns with some prior work that I had done that was not great quality and ever fixed one spot right then and there. All of the office staff was also very kind and polite. As someone who has a bit of dental anxiety this visit eased my fears that I will be in the very best hands at Cornerstone!

I have been terrified of going to the dentist since I was young, due to some trauma I had early on. I heard about Cornerstone when my then 3 year old niece went there, and I heard great things, so I called and explained my fears and anxieties, and right off the bat the receptionist was reassuring that my experience would be much different at Cornerstone, and WOW, she was right. I have never had such an experience where I had zero pain during cleaning, (my hygienist Christie is amazing and Dr. Mindy is top notch), and such compassion from the whole staff in understanding the anxieties I had. I literally left my appointment knowing I wouldnt have to be afraid or anxious ever again about having to go get my teeth cleaned or dental treatment. Absolutely the best place to go, Cornerstone is a blessing.

I didn’t think it would be possible, but I am now able to breastfeed my son exclusively thanks to Dr. Mindy and her lactation consultant Natalie Hessell. My son had tongue and lip ties that were corrected by Dr. Mindy through a laser procedure. Natalie worked with me in the weeks following the procedure. Before working with the team at Cornerstone, I had worked with a lactation consultant who really focused on the negative aspects of my situation, and I was very depressed about it. I had pretty much decided to quit trying and switch completely to formula, but I already had this appointment with Cornerstone, so I figured I would just go anyway. At that point I was in a miserable schedule of extremely painful nursing, pumping after every feeding to try to get my milk supply up, and supplementing with formula after each feeding as well because my son was not able to get enough milk while nursing. Natalie believed in me more than I believed in myself! She was so knowledgeable and positive in her guidance. Every week, we saw more and more improvement. I just had my final session with her where we were able to celebrate the fact that my son is nursing exclusively and gaining plenty of weight! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this group- and especially Natalie!

I have dental anxiety and used to put off going to the dentist. I started going to Cornerstone a year ago and I am so happy I switched! My five year old son had a tongue tie that was causing problems with his speech. Dr. Mindy and Cornerstone were highly recommended by his speech therapist and his tongue tie was cut in July. We saw an immediate change in his speech. Suddenly he was able to say his s sound correctly more often in therapy and we finally see progress. Dr. Mindy and the staff at Cornerstone were kind, compassionate, and very friendly to me and my son. They relieved his fear about the procedure and set my mind at ease. We will be coming to Cornerstone for all of our dentistry needs from now on. If they can treat my little guy with care, I know they will treat me the same.

I was really nervous about going to the dentist but the people here me feel so comfortable. They are so kind and gentle. I brought my kids here too and they took such good care of them and were so patient with them. I would definitely recommend Cornerstone to anyone. They also didnt lecture me when I asked them not to use flouride on my kids which has happened at every other place Ive been.

Dr Mindy is the local authority on tongue ties, she took care of my daughters at 10 days old, and now years later Ive had mine fixed too - it was holding my neck down so tightly, I had all kinds of pain, saw various specialists. Afterward I now stand half an inch taller, I didnt expect that to be related!

The staff is excellent! I do not like going to the dentist and they make you feel at ease if you happen to have additional work done besides a typical cleanings. All of the staff works well with patients of all ages.

My daughter was lip tied and tongue tied and we opted to have it taken care of. It was the best decision we ever made!!! She has been a much happier baby since, she is sleeping longer, going longer between feedings and less gassy not to mention Im finally pain free when nursing!!! Cornerstone is a joy to work with. Were in the process of moving our entire family over from a previous dentist. All of the staff have made the transition so easy and worth it. Our youngest daughter, age 5 at the time, had a lip tie revised by Dr. Mindy, who was excellent in getting my shy and nervous daughter to cooperate, and it healed so quickly. I was upset to find out I had 2 cavities at my last cleaning, and the staff was very comforting and compassionate. Dr. Peterson took care of them both at my next visit, which was as pleasant as could be. The hygienists weve worked with have all been so wonderful as well.

My appt was great, Chrissy was wonderful with my daughter. She is a breastfed baby and she nursed on top of me the whole time without any issues. What more could you ask for?!? I was struggling with nursing my newborn and without hesitation she came in on her day off to help fix my daughters tongue tie. My nursing career is still going strong. Whatever she recommends I suggest you listen;) They also helped with a toddlers chipped tooth, my husband and I go for our cleanings, and my mother in law has had major work done on her teeth. She now smiles in a way Ive never seen and Im VERY impressed with the work they have done for her! My mother in laws teeth look amazing and natural. My husband, who has very sensitive gums, commented on how this is the first dentist he has ever been to where he doesnt leave in pain. Ive sent many people her way and everyone always tells me what a great experience they have with Cornerstone Family Dentistry.

We had our 2 week old’s lip tie fixed by Dr. Mindy. The procedure was just a few seconds, and we saw immediate results in our baby’s latching! In just a week, we were able to breastfeed exclusively instead of using the bottle. The staff was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable about children.

I got in right away. The staff was extremely nice and caring. Listened to my concerns without being pushy. I am a patient as of today, and my husband is going to be too!

I highly recommend Cornerstone! I called their office today as a new patient and explained to the receptionist that I was experiencing severe pain due to a problem wisdom tooth. Not only did they get me in an hour after my call, but they were able to take care of the problem teeth before the afternoon was over. I have not visited the dentist for longer than I’d like to admit, and not once was I made to feel poorly for my lack of dental care. We took our baby to Mindy to have a fresh set of eyes when my son’s tongue tie had gone undiagnosed by several other professionals due to it being posterior. Prior to his revision we struggled with our nursing journey for months and months!Just a week after the procedure he was able to nurse in half the time, my milk supply increased, his reflux improved, and he made three new consonant sounds and one new vowel!The procedure was quick and simple, he was back in my arms less than three minutes later. The exercises were maintainable and helped him to gain the flexibility and strength he’d been trying for all along!Additionally, Natalie has been paramount in helping discover and solve milk supply difficulties! She has gone above and beyond to research, troubleshoot, and reach out to check how things are going!My family and I will be using cornerstone for as long as we can imagine, and definitely recommend it to everyone!

They were very helpful and friendly when it came to my daughter lip tie. Dr. Mindy is very knowledgeable on the topic and they also had a lactation consultant on site. They actually listen to you as a paitent/client and sadly that’s hard to find. I’d give them 100 stars if I could.

I took my 7 year old daughter here to have her 1st cavity filled. She was a bit scared, but they took the time to calm her fears and made it a really positive experience. She still doesnt know she got a shot...they had her close her eyes and did it well! Impressive is the only word I can use.

When my newborn son had a tip and tongue tie, they were able to get us in to perform a laser operation that corrected the problem. Their execution was perfect and their level of care and was among the best Ive come across in the area. After an issue with my insurance, they were able to work with me on the matter and get the issue resolved. They also take CareCredit, which adds considerable flexibility to make payments in my experience. I would give them the highest possible recommendation.

Dr. Mindy and Cornerstone Family Dentistry have been such a blessing to our little family. She revised my sons upper lip tie and posterior tongue tie and just recently, our daughters upper lip tie. Our daughter weighed 7 lbs when born, went home at 6lbs 13 oz, and only gained .3 oz before the home visit 2 days later. The following day, we had her lip tie revised, now 5 days later (10 days old), she gained 9 ounces! Thank you Dr. Mindy and her staff, they were all so wonderful and we will definitely be referring even more people her way! Wish we lived closer so she could be our regular dentist!

Dr. Mindy and ALL of her staff are absolutely amazing. I recently moved to the Quad City area and was looking for a dentist. I took a chance on Cornerstone Family Dentistry because I had a bad experience with my dentist before. I discovered that I had 10 cavities and 4 wisdom teeth to pull. They said it was no problem and told me that we could get it all fixed. A year down the road they are all fixed and they do great work. They remember who you are and personal information such as what you like do. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!

I went here on the recommendation my wife. I have neglected my own dental health for way to long. I had been to other dentists who treated me like I was an idiot for not taking care of my teeth as I should have. At Cornerstone I felt welcomed and that they were concerned about me and making me happy instead of a lecture. I was give an affordable plan to get me back on track to having a smile I can be proud of again. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
