Great dentist. They are friendly, professional, and do a very good job with my dental work. Have been going to them for over a year and never had an issue.

I needed a painful impacted wisdom tooth pulled. I first went to Familia who referred me to Iowa City and they couldnt get me in for 6 months! I called Secure Dental and they were able to get me in a few days later, did x-rays, cleaned my teeth, and pulled 2 of my wisdom teeth out all within an hour. It wasnt fun having to do that awake but I am grateful Dr. Kang did it for me! His assistant Amber was caring and kind, and the front desk staff were all very friendly too.

Im definitely impressed. I went to familia dental where I had been getting bad service recently. I had got a feeling and within two months it fell out and my tooth have been hurting really bad when I made an appointment with familia dental they were only able to get me in within the next two months so I went to secure dental. I just had an appointment yesterday and he immediately started working on my teeth when I thought I was just going in for x-rays this guy was so awesome and he did it quick and I no longer have pain. As of yesterday secure dental is now my new dental clinic to go to.Chasidy

Terrible place. Doctor has no bed side manner. Needed questions asked and I couldnt ask. He was in too much of a hurry. Had a tooth pulled had to go somewhere else for follow up and found out mouth needed more work on the tooth that was pulled. Do not recommend ANYONE ever going there for dental work stay away from this place. Dentist prescribed me an antibiotic that I was allergic too. I even told him I was allergic to it.

9/10 times I have a great experience with the staff and they’re always very nice. My last experience wasn’t so hot as the girl assistant was quite rude and kept using the suction tool on my actual gums and tongue so it was very painful. Having to hold still during a filling, you can imagine how painful that is. My gums and tongue have bruises on them and are very tender even days after the fact. If she is there my next visit, I’ll be refusing her as someone who can work on my mouth.

I only say 3 because of the time it has taken. I dont know if this normal . I started getting my dentures in late july and received my lower ones yesterday. Just to clarify I believe you met my expectations. I really do not know how long it generally takes so it was a little ignorant of me to say this. I was basing this off others that had same procedures . I didnt factor insurances are different as well as labs.

Treatment was very good, although I was a bit surprised at the way things were done. Such as the polishing was done before the cleaning? An explanation of that practice would have been appreciated. Also the dentist did the cleaning himself. Another unique practice. I would have liked a more thorough review of the dentist’s thoughts and recommendations for further treatment of existing conditions. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

This dentist office I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. Worst place to go to for anything. People are so rude and they don’t care how patients feel.

The entire staff is wonderful. When I called to get an appointment they got me in really fast. Was only about a 5 minute wait to be taken to the back.

1st off, dentist made me feel like he thought I was lying about what I was telling him, which left me feeling offended. There must be a dentist code....where they all stick up for each other even if 1 of them makes a mistake by missing some cavities that end up turning into root canals because they were missed. 2nd, most painful root canal Ive ever had...and Ive had several in my lifetime. Instead of making sure I was properly numbed from the beginning, he had to stop 2 more times during the procedure to administer more lidocaine due to me being in pain. I left in more pain then when I got there...which if properly numbed, shouldnt have happened. Felt like they were rushing threw the whole procedure which made me nervous. Dentist wasnt very caring or understanding of my situation. I wont be back.

I waited 15 years to see a dentist. I was absolutely terrified & it took a lot of courage to even make the appointment. Dr Naru Kang was absolutely perfect. He was kind . He assured me the procedures would not hurt . I got 2 root canals and felt absolutely no pain . That gave me the confidence to go back 2 days ago and get teeth pulled. He was quick and efficient. No pain. When my insurance renews I cannot wait to see him again to finish the remaining work that i need done !

I went in for a regular cleaning. I did not stay in the waiting room long. I was in and out within an hour. They are really nice and make you feel comfortable and well cared for.

My dental appointment was very pleasurable. Dr.Chi did a great job on my veneer replacement. I at first was not happy with the outcome, but he listened to my concerns. He modified the veneer and I was very happy about the outcome. Its been 2 weeks and I am still happy with the outcome. I appreciate his diligence in not letting me leave until I was satisfied.

Ever since I had my braces removed roughly ten years ago I have had these horrible markings on several of my teeth. They were ugly but I learned to make peace with it and figured it was just something I’d have to live with. My first visit to Secure Dental they discovered the problem. Undiagnosed cavities that had been eating away at my teeth for a decade. They filled the cavities and I must say that my teeth have NEVER looked this good in my entire adult life. I thought those teeth were beyond help. Went in for a simple routine cleaning and left with the best smile of my entire life. Best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist by far. MIRACLE WORKERS!

Rude and inconsiderate to a child with special needs blames the child for them getting behind with other people... I get how that is frustrating for other people and for that I’m sorry but it’s no need to the doctor to disrespect a child and ignore the fear and anxiety that they have

My appointment was at 9:30 am. I was done before 10:30am. All I had done was X-rays, cleaning and polishing. I imagine if you’re having different work done it may take more time. The young lady that did my xrays was very cordial and explained some things to me as she went along with her work. It just so happens that I have a double pallet at the roof of my mouth and X-rays can be uncomfortable and painful for me. The Hygienist told me next time I come to request Occlusal X-rays. Oh and by the way, the dentist was very cordial.

Dentist is knowledgeable. I wanted to keep my tooth instead of it being extracted. He listened to what I had to say, that is a plus. I went in for my second visit for my root canal filling, there wasn’t any communication after, no after care instructions. It was obvious they were very busy. I had more communication with the dental hygienist than the dentist. More communication would be a plus. Staff was friendly.

I am a 72 yr old female that grew up in a time of hearing horror stories about tooth pain and removal. Personal experience in younger years proved this to be TRUE so I am naturally a big ole sissy patient. Dr Kang and his very polite assistant, informative and patient. The procedure went well. Options were given truthfully. Would/will recommend this dentist to others. My only concern which is significant is after adding numbing to gums Dr Kang then inserts needle much to quickly into gums. It only takes a few more minutes of patience. If this had been my front teeth and he had done that. I would have left. I had a dentist that showed me that inserting needle slowly, little novacaine is a humane mastery of the trade. I mean this to be positive feedback

I had a lot of work to be done. They did it quick and right the first time. I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled and they took it out with no problems. I will differently be going back when I need more work done. I was amazed with them. Vary friendly!!!!

Secure Dental no exaggeration saved my life. I had a severe absess that literally within 4 days went from bad to terrible on the left side of my mouth, my back tooth to be more specific; anyways they were able to get me right in without hesitation or the normal “not excepting new patients” bull that every other dental place around was stating. For a fee because I was without dental insurance my tooth was extracted and so were other wisdom teeth that seemed to be facing future issues as well. Thank you secure dental, I mean that from the bottom of my heart! #true hero’s work there, the whole staff went above and beyond, and deserve some sort of recognition if you ask me!

My appointment was on Feb 26 for a routine check. Every body was excellent and helpful . I was very satisfied.

Rough, scraped my mouth while retaking the same xrays 3 times, and the dentist left without even giving me an update on my teeth. I had to ask for fluoride. I had to ask for a new toothbrush and toothpaste. I had to ask about my wisdom teeth. Then got told that the dentist said to get them removed asap but I couldnt get them removed there. Reason unsure. Im just searching for a new dentist and worried about my dental health.

Had a tooth pulled dentist was fast and that was much appreciated .. however they only prescribed ibuprofen 800 mg with instructions to take every 4 to 6 hours however my pharmacist stopped me because I decided to call after taking 3 ibuprofen during the day to ask if it was okay to take another pill they said no and that not only should my dentist have prescribed something stronger but they should not have told me to take every 4 to 6 hours because you can only take three a day

I love coming here to Secure Dental. The office staff is very nice and understanding!! I have had lots of work done on me and my son and I have zero complaints or issues with any of.

The first time i went to this dentist I had a few sensitive teeth that lasted for quite a while. This never happened before in my life. Some days I couldn’t even brush these teeth due to the sensation. 6 months later, I go back, and the same issue happens. I cannot stand their electronic tools rather than the manual tools I am used to. Additionally, it took an hour for someone to come and clean my teeth, which ended up being the dentist on duty. To end the visit, I didn’t even get my teeth brushed, I don’t feel that is normal. I truly miss my dentist from back in Madison, Wisconsin.

I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. Everyone there is very kind and understanding from the receptionist, dental assistants, to the dentist. I had to have a lot of teeth removed due to cracks, chips, broken teeth and decided to take them all out and get dentures instead of dealing with the tooth pain every time something happened. The dentist made sure i was very numb and he got the teeth out super fast without much pain. He is very nice and a great dentist. I will get my dentures in the next few weeks and am very excited. I would recommend them to everyone.

I went in not sure what to expect. The receptionist was very helpful in answering the question I had. It is a clean and very professional place. The dentist and staff was very knowledgeable and seem to care.

My daughter had an appointment. We were there for 1 hour and 30 minutes just for a simple teeth cleaning! They took us to the back to get prepared for cleaning, after waiting there for close to 40 minutes, one person cleaned her teeth which only took 5 or 6 minutes! After waiting for about another 40 minutes for the DOCTOR to come in, I had to walk to the front to ask the nurses how much longer before the doctor comes in? Turns out, the doctor forgot he had patients waiting to see him! No one even apologized to us! I guess besides the unbelievable waiting time for a SCHEDULED appointment, the office itself was very clean & smelled really nice!

Had a tooth pulled out. They were polite helpful and explained the whole thing to me and answered questions. It was first time dealing with them but they made a customer for life from me.

I found this dentist after a bad experience with another local dentist. I was so nervous to go especially during covid but I got there and the doors were locked and they came and let me in. The lobby was empty aside from me. They took me back super quick, the dental hygienist was so sweet and explained everything to me. The dentist came in was so kind. Was not condescending or abrupt he took his time and I truly appreciate it. I have found a great place!

Kept getting referral after referral to Iowa city. No one would take this one wisdom tooth that was bothering me out.Went here for an exam and they did a cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction the same day. Theyre awesome and have a diverse staff and fun atmosphere.They also worked with my insurance very well. Would highly recommend. As soon as as I told them how bad it was bothering me, they refused to let me go without taking it out.Update: 10/25/21 .. a week ago they yanked the hell out these teeth and got them out my mouth. 5 stars.

I went in to get my teeth cleaned and ended up with sensitive teeth afterwards. In which I have never had before. Also after getting one tooth pulled on one side I lost a top part of my crown right in front of the tooth that was pulled less then a month later and on the other side the same thing. So I have two teeth missing the back top of the crown and the gum is exposed both within three months of them getting removed. Strangely enough I thought I felt him drilling into that tooth but I figured maybe my mouth was jus numb.I took my son to get one of his teeth filled. When it was filled. It was filled with some charcoal gray stuff that ended up not staying in and breaking in his mouth three months down the road. The sad part is everyone is nice. I really feel it was deliberate to get me back in to have them filled but maybe thats a stretch. It seems going to get a simple clean and teeth removed didnt turn out in my favor. Jus like them scheduling of multiple visits sitting for long hours on those scheduled visits.

I was extremely nervous and anxious to see the dentist because of the last experience I had at another place. Everyone was nice from the reception to the assistants! When I explained my situation about my worries and concerns they whole heartily listened and addressed my concerns. Everything was absolutely amazing and I had no discomfort during any part of my appointment. I will definitely be switching my kids there too and I will definitely be returning for future appointments.My experience bringing my three kids here has been really good, they listen to our concerns and adjust to them properly. Secure Dental Utica HORRIBLE firstly theyll use up your insurance balance and leave you with hundreds of dollars in debt to them Secondly they book too many appointments so when you get in the dentist goes from patient to patient back and forth will do a little bit then stop to work on someone else then come back to work on you first time Ive ever experienced that.I think my dentist was working on several people at the same time! Thirdly The crown I had done has given me slight pain every since i dont think it was seated properly. Will never go back again. Iowa City College of dentistry is a much MUCH better option the only reason I tried Secure was the easy location but no never again! Iowa City trips for me from now on.

This place is awesome! They showed me a comfortable reassuring atmosphere during my mouth surgery! I was scheduled for noon and when I called to see if I can get in earlier they found an opening and got me in 2 hours earlier! The Dr. was awesome when pulling my teeth! I have a lot of anxiety when going to the dentist. Bad experiences as a kid plus weak teeth through genetics. I went in this afternoon with all the apprehension one could have and left after my appointment feeling incredibly confident I’ll be just fine. So grateful I ended up here.
