Through one of the most difficult times in my life, Dr Otake sheparded me and my husband through the process of a double mastectomy with Diep Flap reconstruction. I can honestly say that he changed the trajectory of my cancer diagnosis from one of fear to one of empowerment. His skill and confidence is very understated, and I cannot say enough praise on the end results of my surgery. His work is impeccable. I’ve seen a number of Doctors since my surgery and many have said that the work Dr Otake has done is amazing. Everyone at the Aesthetic Center is warm, friendly and accommodating.

It is a rarity to find an excellent surgeon who’s brilliance and skill are equally matched by his compassion and humility.Dr. Otake and his staff made the process of DIEP Flap reconstruction concurrently with bilateral mastectomies as smooth as possible, handling my concerns and answering all my questions. They advocated in all ways possible for my physical health. Prior to my reconstruction and lymphatic bypass surgeries, he made sure all necessary and at time complicated scans were done. He prides himself on doing all necessary homework.Dr. Otake remains there for me post surgeries. When I was exasperated and depressed about my chemotherapy treatment, he always picked up my spirits, giving wise nuggets for me hold on to.Not only does Dr. Otake and his staff advocate for my physical and psychological health, they did so for my financial health as well. He is not a provider under my insurance and they were able to get the insurance company to agree to coverage under Dr. Otake.I travel over an hour from my North Shore Long Island home to see Dr. Otake and do not regret one mile, one minute of this commute. I’d travel cross country to be in his care.
