My experience with Kristine was great!! She was very knowledgeable, personable, and caring!!! She took the time to listen to EVERY concern I had and encouraged me when I didn’t feel confident in my own ability to have a successful vba2c. By the Grace of God, with the help of Kristine and my doula I was able to have a successful home birth with my 3rd child!!! I wouldn’t trade my time with Kristine for anything and I would definitely recommend her to anyone, she’s amazing!!!

I found Kristine through a system that pairs you with someone who you may be a good fit for. They were right on target. This was going to be my second baby and my second attempt at a birth center. I figured out after my first experience what I needed more of but Kristine’s practice went above and beyond my expectations. Specifically, I needed someone who was my calm and who could empower me. I had a lot of fear going into my second pregnancy from my prior experience but I was determined to have the natural birth and experience I knew existed. Kristine and her team gave me that. You get support from all aspects, prenatal and postnatal. My favorite aspects of this birth center were the birthing classes (SO fun and extremely informative), the postpartum at-home drop-ins, postpartum PT, and community get-togethers with moms who had babies in the same month. I took advantage of everything they offered. Simply listing the perks of this birth center doesn’t do it justice for how different and refreshing it was. I was sad when I had no more appointments and I’m already looking forward to the next baby we will have with Kristine.

Kristine is top notch. She’s knowledgeable, down to earth, funny, and relateable. She’s open-minded and supportive of her clients choices. She’s easy to reach when you have questions or just need reassurance. She also possesses the skills to respond appropriately in emergent situations. We had a fast-paced home birth with her as the primary midwife and she was awesome. We aren’t planning on having anymore babies, but if we were, she’d definitely be my first choice.

Kristine attended my 1st birth as an assistant and I enjoyed her so much I used her as my primary midwife for my 3rd birth. She was wonderful, compassionate, and easy to get along with. If I were having another baby in Dallas I would choose her again without hesitation.

I love Kristine dearly! She was our midwife for our 3rd baby and first homebirth. She is so knowledgeable and so kind. She not only made sure that I was always well-taken care of, but she also made sure my husband was as well. She is an amazing midwife and friend, and she is who I will be calling when we have our last baby!

I highly recommend The Urban Midwife! Kristine and her team are absolutely amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and dependable. They are super caring but also very this is how it is, Im not gonna sugar coat it. Everything you need in a birthing team. Your choices are priority but they are ready for advice if you need some guidance.Kristine was recommended to me by a friend, when my previous midwife retired. This was my 6th pregnancy but third birth with a history of shoulder distocia from my second delivery. I was very confident she could handle the risk of another. My labor was only 56 minutes. 25 of which was in the car ride to the birthing center. Unfortunately with no notice, Kristine was the only one there when I arrived. Within 11 minutes, my water broke, his head was delivered, shoulders got stuck, she managed to pull him out without another contraction, assessed him and resuscitated him.... all by herself. She was amazing in a very high stress situation. My son is perfect and almost one because of her ability to do her job and do it well. We are done having babies, I hope, but if the surprise comes, I hope she is able to deliver the next one.

Can I just say how AMAZING Kristine is! I could honestly go on and on and on. I first met Kristine at my doula training and I was like “wowwwe a real midwife! Taking the time to talk to US!” She was so wise and firm with expectations but also just as kind. It really reflected the importance she put on her work and the protection she keeps for her mamas birthing environment to be whatever that mama needs it to be. Fast forward a few years when I got pregnant DUH of course I asked her. She was so great, I looked forward to every appointment. She related to me as a wife and mother, never made me feel less than for opting out/choosing things, rolled her eyes at my stubbornness, and most importantly she gave my scared husband the pep talk of a lifetime idk if she even realizes! He really appreciated her care of me. Direct, nurturing, but never sugar coating so we always felt aware of what was going on and completely taken care of. I always knew if Kristine was chill, then so was I! Fast forward to my birth. I labored at home and arrived at the center around midnight at 8cm. Baby was acynclitic so he ended up not born till 7:42am! But In that time Kristine just let me be. At times I thought I could have used a little more direction, but where it counted she was there. She gave me the space to birth how I needed to birth! After our son was born things got a little dramatic. I had some hemorrhaging so when it was time to get ready to go home (pee/get dressed) I kept passing out. But Kristine and her team were always right there. I ended up pretty dramatically being gurneyed and given pitocin/fluids for a few hours but was good to go home to rest that evening! I’m just so thankful for how quickly she acted and how much attention she gave me! In my postpartum care she is just as great. She taught me how to fix my sons soggy wet cord stump at home, let me cry at my 6week apt after telling me it was okay to be sad even though I have a good thing going. And even now, at a year postpartum she took the time to text me back when I sent her a picture of my son needed stitches! Kristine is an incredible woman, who loves what she does and it shows. She is a friend for life!
