My daughter has been seeing Dr Sugerman for many years. However, getting help or a phone answered by their Dallas office has been unbelievable. My healthcare plan was on the phone with me trying to get an Authorization for a medication for over an hour. I had to leave work to drive to their office and get someone in person to assist. As a patient my daughter had to initiate her own PA with the Pharmacy plan and then follow up several days to get approval from Dr office. The pharmacy plan tried for over an hour yesterday to get a verbal approval and no one was answering at the Dr office. This process should not be this complicated and the patient should NOT have to drive over to their office to get a human to help with prescription after they called many times, sent messages on their portal etc.,. This type of service is STRESSFUL, discouraging, and disappointing for an existing patient such as my daughter.

If you want a practice that doesn’t respond to the pharmacy or the patient/parents for needed prescription refills in any kind of timely manner, either by phone or email (it is impossible to get a live person) this practice for you. Apparently severly shorthanded. Not a criticism of the medical care provided but they need to fix this substantial problem.

Our teen has been a patient at Girls to Women for 4 years now. The care, breadth of knowledge, and face-to face experience are by far among the best we have had with all three of our children.I wish we had had Dr. Sugerman and her team for the other children. We did bring our older son in, to the related Young Men’s Health, recently.Fantastic manner with teens- Dr. Sugerman relates well (this was HUGE).Everyone at Girls to Women (and Young Men’s Health) listens, and they are not racing to get out of the exam room and on to the next patient. Also lots of experience with all of the teen/young adult issues. They follow our lead, and they are very receptive, cooperative.Highly recommend.

My daughter is a patient here. There’s no other place with as many caring health care providers as here. We have been very pleased with the care received. If you want genuinely concerned, highly knowledgeable providers, this is your place. I’ve never seen another office that compares. We love Dr Sugerman, nurses and staff.

I went to to GTW for years when I lived in Dallas and I am still looking for a practice that can compare to the amazing experience I had here. The doctors actually care about their patients and take their time during appointments, the staff members are kind and great at their jobs, and there are tons of resources and activities for young people to become healthier and safer, ranging from self-defense classes to eating disorder support groups. Pam Chin-Lai was my dietitian and she honestly saved my life. I could not recommend Girls to Women enough, it is the best practice I have ever been to. My only complaint might be that they are pretty busy and it can be difficult to get an appointment but I promise, it is worth it.

We had a very negative experience at this practice. Kelly Jameson was very unprofessional. She could not remember what she told us from one visit to the next, resulting in contradictory feedback. We were sincerely seeking help and she became snarky and disrespectful during sessions. When she needed to cancel, she would text at the last minute and say she was out of town. Quite frankly, she always seemed more interested in marketing herself as an irreverent guest speaker at womens functions than a counselor who genuinely wants to help young women and their families. Stay away from this practice.

Dr. Sugerman is the most caring doctor I have ever met. She has been my primary caregiver for years, and every time I have an appointment with her, I feel hollistically cared for both physically and mentally. She not only walks with me in my physical symptoms towards treatment/healing and never makes me feel uncomfortable, but she also genuinely cares about my mental health and well-being overall. I feel very cared for as a human being, and I would recommend her to EVERYONE.

I have been in the medical field for over 20 years and I have never been more impressed than I was with this practice and Dr. Sugarman. I highly recommend Dr. Sugarman and Girls to Women Health & Wellness to anyone who is concerned their loved one may be struggling with an eating disorder. I am so grateful someone recommended it to us.

GTW has been exactly what my daughter needed - from the nutritionist to the doctors to the counselors . . . everything under one roof, communication is easy, and the results are amazing!

I wouldve given this practice 5 stars when I first started seeing one of their doctors. However, at a time when my health was getting worse I was dismissed by the doctor. Getting worse to the point I had to leave my job in my field. I had to find a new practitioner on my own and Ive had multiple practitioners from specialists to even cath lab nurses ask how my health problems were missed for such an extended period.

*UPDATE* (reflect more details based on documentation)We called the office as suggested and they refused to do anything about the bill. I would suggest the provider to have more transparency in preventive wellness checks. My wife clearly signed on a document we just wanted preventive wellness checks but not any additional services. They should at least be more transparent and ask for an authorization before they would provide anything we did not ask for.My wife took my daughter there for a routine preventive care appointment and they want to charge an additional $225 office visit fee(discounted to 93 due to insurance) on top of the preventive care service which is already paid by the insurance. They did not tell us up front about the service we did not request and all the doctor did was asking a lot of questions like do you have any pain anywhere....things like that. My daughter who is merely 10 answered she sometimes had chest pain and the doctor Rebecca Prengler did not do any diagnosis as far as she could tell and simply referred her to a specialist.(My insurance plan does not require referral). We were told we were billed double (preventive and office visit on one visit) due to additional services not covered by insurance. I suggest others to stay away from greedy providers like this. I have never been double charged office visit fees for preventive care from all the other providers I had used.

This is simply the best in town. Genuine care. They recently have expanded to serving boys as they become men. If you are a parent, look no further for your healing your child.

The 1 star reviewers are crazy. Dr. Sugarman is a gem! a true diamond in the rough. She takes the time to provide specific 1 on 1 care to every patient, no matter how long it takes. Her care for our daughter is so good that we now bring our son to see Dr. Blankston. We couldnt be happier with both!

Our teenage daughter has been going to Girls to Women over the years seeing Dr. Dana Remer. Our daughter is believed to be battling autoimmune encephalitis and the hardest thing about this disease is to differentiate this between a neurological disorder versus a psychiatric disorder... it is always an uphill battle. Not only is Dr. Remer her physician, she is my daughters ADVOCATE. When you have a disease that is always misinterpreted and hard to differentiate, you truly need a knowledgeable advocate fighting for your child. Dr. Remer is very persistent with other doctors and specialists and fought for us and helped get my daughter into Mayo Clinic. Dr. Dana is truly a caring individual and doctor and if you need an advocate who will battle for your daughter, Dr. Remer is it.

This is a wonderful and unique practice. A blessing for a mom who raised two boys but still finds herself sometimes bewildered and befuddled by her tween/teen daughter. Dr. Remer is our regular doctor but we have had occasion to see Dr Blankson, Dr. Prengler and Dr. Garza. Each and every one of them is knowledgeable, patient, caring and has taken the time to really listen and address our concerns, always taking the time to follow up whenever the issue has been out of the ordinary. We highly recommend them and feel lucky to have such a special practice nearby.

The entire staff is incredibly helpful. Dr. Prengler is an angel in disguise, and has helped me tremendously with my POTS.

I was very disappointed and discouraged when I was told the therapist in network was no longer taking new patients for my teen. So when I asked if the representative knew of any other place or counselor, she said no sounding very unsympathetic and irritated.

Love the place, doctors, nurses and all services, but you NEVER can get anyone to answer the phone. It takes days or longer for them to get back to you.
