This group of psychiatrist are very helpful and kind, they listen to your needs and suggestions. I have been here for years and love it. The only thing I don’t like it is that one of my friends that I referred missed one appointment and they kick him out….like NEVER gave him an appointment again. That I think is crazy!!!

My experience with the Holiner Group is a positive one. You can always get someone on the phone during business hours, scheduling is easy. I’ve had a few different providers and they’ve all been personable and great listeners. Ordering refills is generally easy, a few times there has been a glitch in the portal, but they take care of it pretty quickly. I would recommend them.

The staff doesn’t listen and is regularly rude. My doctor cancelled appointments on me 4 different times within a year and while that’s not a lot (life happens to all of us) they blamed ME for not keeping regular appointments and needing refills between visits. When my family’s insurance changed unexpectedly they were not willing to help with the transition between providers either (which should be unethical for psychiatrists since, in my case and I’m sure many others, stability and daily meds are essential to staying out of the hospital). Hospitalization is expensive and life altering and the staff did not care and did not try to help despite the fact that it’s literally their job. I guess when I stopped being able to pay they were relieved of their duty to me.

Wonderful experience with this office! They are friendly, kind, and understanding. Phone reception staff is great (I left my last psychiatrist because the front desk staff treated me and others poorly repeatedly). Telehealth visit was a little hard to navigate for the first time but really not bad and they were helpful when needed!

Kellie is just the greatest. I can literally share anything with her. She can be fully transparent and not afraid to call me out for actions and inaction. She is prompt, detail oriented, thorough, compassionate, always has a plan, has a backup plan, and best of all explains every detail of her plans before execution. Her uniform should be a jersey with the number 12 because she is the GOAT.

Let me begin with saying that the Drs are incredibly amazing with their compassion, listening, (Marlesha specifically) and care. Truly 2nd to NONE... My issue is with the administration... its extremely complicated to get medication refilled on their voice-mail. I leave 1 star because I was discharged without notice, and left in the cold without a Dr or the capability of at least being able to refill my medication. This took me down a terrible spiral. For those that know finding a new Dr, is the worst... its in many ways a game... Ive done this for the last decade, and while the Holiner group was the best practice I have found. Ive given up on my tending to my mental illness. Too tired to play Drs games. God bless anyone reading this

I stay in Wilmer Tx and the Holiner group is in North Dallas. Going to them is worth the time and distance. I love how the whole team from the front desk to the back work together as one. And now that I have the option to do virtual is even better.

The office experience is generally always smooth and uneventful. There have been numerous times Ive needed to call and chat with my psychiatrist over the years, and the ladies up front facilitate that process with ease. Dr. Freele makes himself available, as his schedule allows, and has taken the time to answer all my questions regarding recent medication changes in addition to helping me to process through some recent life altering events. It makes a tremendous difference working with a doctor who actively involves me in my treatment plan, listens to my concerns, and takes a conservative approach to medication management rather than just throwing a bunch of meds into the mix at once. Im deeply grateful to have such a FABULOUS support system at the Holiner Group! Ive been coming here for over five years and would definitely recommend the services to anyone in need of compassionate, quality mental health care.

My customer service experience with Rachel was brutal, nothing but assigning blame, pointing fingers, and being flat out rude.It’s sad that people with disabilities have to deal with this kind of treatment, especially when considering that Doctors are supposed to help people; not wildly profit off of their needs.

We’re leaving town and they were supposed to call my wife’s prescription in since it’s due. They decided it wasn’t important to them to call it it and now we have to either delay our trip or leave without it highly do not recommend them.how hard is it to get a prescription called in a timely manner embarrassing excuse for a doctor’s office. Keep in mind she called it in on Friday and today is Tuesday how hard is it to get it done in 48 hours.apparently to hard for these “drs”

Ive been going to the Holiner Psychiatric Group and Dr. Freele for almost 8 years now. I have had nothing but great experiences there. He and his team always take their time to talk with me, answer any and all questions I have, and provide me with expert care. The office staff is always super helpful and willing to go the extra mile when needed. I hope to continue to be under the care of Dr. Freele and Holiner Psychiatric Group for tears to come!

I didnt get 1, but 4 confirmation text messages, 2 emails, and 1 phone call with a staff member. They even sent me a confirmation message 2 hours prior to my appointment. And guess what? They werent able to find my appointment, and my information was even in the system. I showed the text messages and offered to show them the emails and the phone call... and I had to walk back home. They werent even kind to schedule me an appointment for another day or provideany information at all. AVOID THIS PEOPLE. GO TO A MOST SERIOUS PROVIDER.

The Holiner group has been completely amazing and life changing for me. They are thoughtful, encouraging and really listen to your needs. As a person who does not like medicine in general they thoroughly describe every thing to you and make you comfortable with the process and do not try and over prescribe. They are friendly and welcoming, highly recommend!

The group had a lady, who I really liked, but she left the practice. The next time I needed someone, I really didnt care for the person I was put with. So it just depends on personalities I guess. Im not in need of anyone now, thank goodness. My Internist recommended the Holiner Group & he usually makes great suggestions that I trust. They were good when I was in need, which I hope I never am again. You just have to find the right person that you have a connection with is what I’m saying.

If you have a disorder or negative emotions seeking proper resolutions then consider the Holiner Psychiatruc Group. They have a very professional staff and their psychiatrists genuinely seek to find out what negativity you have. They will listen to you and discover what proper medications can better assist your needs. Unlike most psychiatrists They dont just force medications on yiu just to prescribe them. This shows the positive character of how they feel towards their patients. They do accept most insurances. If you want staff that actually care and seek to improve you, then come here. Your mental health matters and they realize the importance of it.

Dr. Freele is the best and probably the only person in the world that validates how funny I am. I’ve been to a ton of psychiatrists over the years and he’s by far the most attentive to how I feel about what he’s prescribing and in an emergency he’s always gone above and beyond. Highly recommend. The whole office is fantastic really.

I have had Bi-Polar Depression since 1987. I have seen a multitude of Psychiatrists over that time. Dr. Robert Freele has worked with my medication for the last 5 years. After having critical depression for 2-3 months a year with tremendous lows and exotic highs since l987, Dr. Freele got me on the right combination of medication. I have not had depression for 2 and 1/2 years. I have so much peace in my mind and body. Thank you Dr. Freele and The Holiner Group.

After Dr. Joel Holiner interviewed me, he recommended I take a series or 36 TMS treatments which help get rid of depression. I realized during my 32nd treatment that my depression was 100% gone. I completed all 36. The Holiner group gave me my life back!

Dr. Holiner is very caring in his approach to caring for me. I have seen him for more than 5 years, and have appreciated his care through time. I have also seen Stephanie and she has taken good care of me.

The Drs. Here listen to their patients. They see you quickly and efficiently. Have not had any issues getting meds even in a tight circumstance. I’ve even been blessed with samples when in need. They are willing to try things you might suggest based on how you feel and react to different meds. They don’t just throw a book or studies at you and expect that it’s the same for everyone. They seem to understand that only you know how you feel and what helps and doesn’t and they are willing to work with you in your care not just seem arrogant and determine their way or thoughts are the only ones that could be true or work. They don’t give up when it’s difficult to find the balance they keep trying new or different ideas. Dr. Holiner makes sure he sees his patience intermittently between practitioner visits. Although the practitioners I have had 3 so far have been knowledgeable yes they do change due to advancing their careers that may be the only downfall but the next one comes in pretty knowledgeable about you. So they do take time to read your file and maybe communicate about you with the others you have seen. I have always been respected never seen as my diagnosis’ but as a person that is treatable and deserving of respect all the way through the receptionist interactions and phone calls as well. They also are good about following up with you if you forget to make follow ups. I do cash pay due to no ins and I won’t give up this practice even if it always has to be cash pay. The only suggestion I ever have is maybe a sliding scale for cash pay clients as I have fewer visits due to funds, fewer visits take longer to find good regimens they have always worked with me when I needed it. Med refills are quick in the patient portal on the phone line and after visits I’ve never had to wait on the drs. Just the pharmacies. This is one of the best practices I have had the pleasure to work with. Maybe the only one that was actually a pleasure LOL. Everyone have a good day and if your searching definitely give them a try. What do you have to lose you can always try something else if it’s not a fit.

It is hard to find a doctor. Then they will recommend you to use a Nurse Practitioner. They increase Childs medication without letting the parents know about it. Also, dont have any intention to get parents feedback. When they treat a child, they should also talk with parents. I felt like they are in the business to make money, not to provide service. I decided not to use them anymore for my child.

Dr. Holiner has been treating my son for some time. Under his guidance, my son has made enormous improvements in his life. On at least two occasions, he has gone out of his way to intervene in minimizing episodes of destructive behavior while my son was at his apartment. I cannot say enough about his good character and extraordinary professionalism.

As a healthcare professional, I have worked with Dr. Holiner more than 20 years ago, and now as a patient for over 8 years. I can vouch for the care, compassion and skills of all the staff, especially Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Debbie Riney, who is my personal therapist. Despite the resitrictions of Covid-19, the clinic has managed to efficiently continue and overcome roadblocks to successful treatment goals.

My Mother recommended the Holiner Psychiatric Group when I was really suffering and after 18 years of severe social anxiety I reluctantly made an appointment for help. 9 Years later Im still mostly anxiety free and able to live my life fully thanks to their help. Comfortable offices, patient doctors, and a very friendly staff make this a no brainer for recommending their services to you.

This office has made the processes of telehealth really work for the way I manage my schedule. My provider is Shamika Ottley. I truly can’t say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Holiner. I’ve been dealing with a very complicated detox from suboxone and his non-judgemental kindness has been key to helping me feel like a human of real worth. I’ve had a lot of medical abuse in my past (horrible, horrible things done to me by doctors), and I never thought I’d ever trust a doctor again. I still don’t trust most psychiatrists, mainly because I’ve found many of them to be glorified drug dealers, interested only in kickbacks from drug companies. This is NOT Dr Holiner- he’s called us back on Memorial Day, for godsakes. This is a man who cares. Oh! And he’s super funny. My recommendation is to try to form a relationship with him, because the PAs are fine, but he’s truly great.

Dr. Freele and the staff are very kind, helpful, and truly easy to work with during the challenging times of this pandemic. Dr. Freele listens to your struggles and really cares about your thoughts on how he would like to pursue treatment. I highly recommend them.

I have been a client for a long time and have been helped by 3 doctors over that time. I have received excellent care from each one and have always been treated with courtesy and care and a willingness to fully listen to me before suggesting a plan of action.

Place is hard to get to in my opinion. So I like the teledoc. Good staff, no billing issues, good professional care. I have waited once for close to an hour to see my therapist. The explanation sounded like some double booking error. But only the one time.

Frequently bounced around between doctors who are unaware of your current status. Also had an appointment two weeks ago and my prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. I’ve called three separate times explaining I was out of medication and needed this resolved as soon as possible to no avail. You are not a patient at this office, only an income source. Look elsewhere for psychiatric treatment.

Dr. Holiner is great, the nurse practicioners are calm and encouraging but we cant seem to get over the Rx refill snafus that cause more work on my part than it should be and unnecessary stress. Fortunately, Lindsay and another manager are working hard to solve the glitch.

Everyone is very caring. Love the telemedicine during the pandemic along with answering the portal in a timely manner.

If you want me feel like as unimportant as possible then yes go here. They won’t return your calls they won’t refills prescriptions in a timely manner and they won’t even remember having you as a patient! Every appointment they’ll ask who you are even though you’ve seen them 4 or 5 times!

I highly recommend Holiner Group. Im a current patient w/ Kelly Westmoreland and Dr. Freele. Both are genuinely concerned w/ patients mental health and well-being. The office also has an organized and efficient appointment follow up system.

Dr. Freele and Linh Tran have been amazing. The bulk of my experience has been with Linh and she has proven to be a truly caring and compassionate mental healthcare provider.

When I first came to Holliner I was in a very difficult place with my medication and they really listened to my issues, educated me on my options and helped get me back on track.

I’ve been going to this practice for several years and I’ve never met a Dr. worse than dr.freele. He spent 5 minutes in the office talking to me. A few months later I was told my disability benefits were being stopped because dr freele thought I was all better. DO NOT GO HERE. They are not understanding and will take your money and fine you multiple times for charges you have already paid or never should have paid.

I’ve been going to this office for years. The doctor and nurses are great ! The office staff is a mess !! I received a bill on 11/23/20 for 212.00 ( with insurance ) I called and asked about it and they told me it was a mistake and that “ they’d take care of it “ on 1/7/21 I received another bill for 60.00 threatening to send me to collections if I didn’t pay ! Apparently they don’t know what they’re doing. Needless to say, I will be looking for another doctor. I will not risk my credit when going to this place. I did my part by calling and trying to pay my bill, I was told I didn’t owe anything, and now I get a letter threatening me to take me to collections !!

Dr Holiner has been my doctor in charge of my Bipolar Disorder for many years and he does a wonderful job of helping me to keep it from getting out of control.

I am supposed to have a script pre approved, but no one seems to understand that someone has to call the Pharmacy insurance Company and get them to cover the script, this is causing a great deal of stress. I cant do this.

Doctors & staff are amazingly helpful & always assist you with all your needs. Very proficient in reminding you when you need to be seen. Thank you all & God Bless

You don’t meet with an actual doctor in your appointments and they quickly rush you. They are not flexible/understanding of your needs.

Doctor was LATE for telecom appointment. Opened the conversation by saying “so I hear you’ve been experiencing some anxiety and depression” and I was like “no, no depression. I have been having anxiety and insomnia but I never have had issues with depression”... Not sure where he got that. Spent less than 2 mins speaking with me before pushing a medication used for pain on me. I told him I was not comfortable taking something every day and just wanted something as needed. He was very dismissive and condescending, told me that his recommendation was it and acted like my adult experience having been on medication successfully before was null and void. I was referred to him for my insomnia and anxiety by my counselor I see for cognitive behavioral therapy. This “doctor” is a joke. I feel sorry for his nurse and the people who have to work with him and I regret having wasted my time, money and energy to speak with him. Do not go here.
