I visited Dr. El-Feky with a neurological condition that was resulting in progressive loss of my balance and sensation in my feet. After prescribing an in-home blood test that was to cost towards of $10,000 (the cost was never mentioned), Dr. El-Feky determined that I had genetic neuropathy and deemed it untreatable. In fact, his comment to me was to prepare for the wheelchair. After visiting another neurologist for a second opinion (more than a year later) I was correctly diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. Ive since received monthly antibody infusions that have begun to return my loss of balance and sensation in my feet. The thing that aggravated me most about Dr. El-Feky is that he was accompanied by medical students who were hanging on his every word. When I questioned his diagnosis and dire predictions he asked me what I did for a living and if I let my customers question my directives. Obviously, his ego was stung. Id recommend anybody but Dr. El-Feky.

Not satisfied at all. Office organization is terrible. They couldnt get anything done right for me, MRI order was denied and they couldnt handle an appeal. Wrong diagnosis. I think they have better things to do than going trough my case, they are always running and rushing.

Dr. El-Feky is a wonderful Doctor. He is caring, courteous and extremely kind. I have known him for over 8 years and he has always given me and those whom I referred to him the best medical care. I needed an emergency appointment due to back pain, even though his schedule was full, he made time to see me through his lunch time. When he examined me and felt I needed an MRI he had it arranged immediately and made sure to review the results with me and explain the condition and the treatment approach. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in his approach. I am so relieved I am receiving the best care from an expert neurologist.

I went to see Dr. Elfeky in several instances regarding my health. It is very soothing to talk to him as he makes your stress level go lower by using his knowledge and experience. Yet, he is very down to earth and humble person. For sure I recommend him to any person who needs help in neurology due to injury or disease.

After seeing a second physician on the same issue, I knew for certain that Dr. El-Feky is exceptional. With the other doc, on a diagnosis very important to me, I was in and out. Dr. El-Feky took time on the testing and gave knowledgeable responses to my comments and questions. After the diagnosis, he explained to me what to expect, gave practical suggestions, and set me up well for follow-up in therapy and otherwise. Also, hes personable.

Dr. El-Feky was a God Sent to me and my twin sister. We both have a lot of pain with migraines before we came to this kind doctor. He really listened to our complaints and did not give up until we had great relief from migraines. He even helped me with my new pain coming from my neck. Marilyn and Carolyn would like to encourage you to get real help for your pain from our favorite neurologist!!

Dr. El-Feky has been my neurologist since 2000. While cleaning out my fathers house after his death, grieving and stressed, I suffered a frightening episode of dizziness, a sagging face, slurred speech and the inability to walk. A local small-town ER doctor said I was having transient ischemic attacks, or small strokes. I did not believe it because my condition had gone on, uninterrupted, for three days, then ended. When I returned to Dallas and saw Dr. El-Feky, he ordered several tests and diagnosed an unusual migraine syndrome. It was a huge relief, and made perfect sense because I already had typical migraines, and so had my mother. Yesterday I saw him for numbness, pins and needles and clumsiness in one hand; I feared a serious problem with the spinal nerves in my arthritic neck. After nerve and muscle tests he did himself, Dr. El-Feky diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome and advised me to wear an ordinary wrist brace found in any drug store. He is calm, warm-hearted and very thorough. He teaches young neurology students, and explains things so that a patient can understand them. I trust him with my life, and give him five stars. If I could give him six, I would.

Dr. Elfeky belongs to an endangered species of Doctors. These days, a typical doctor walks in the room with a shiny laptop, sits on the table with his back to you (your lucky if you have a side view), asks you few questions to help him fumble through his EMRs ICD-10 catalogue to find few that will get him paid. Then he turns around and finally establishes eye contact, throws a couple of pills at you to keep your whiny mouse shut and if you are lucky and he is not terrified of insurance immortals at mount Olympus, orders some labs or a procedure to cover his basis. I swear they don’t even touch your body these days.****** NOT DR ELFEKY. Dr. Elfeky walks in the room with absolutely no electronic gadgets. Asks you few questions. Let’s you talk to your hearts desire while he is attentively listening to you with a firmly established eye contact. Performs his clinical evaluation. And then spends ample time discussing his initial or final finding and his prescribed treatment or further course of investigation. He let’s you ask any questions and babble whatever incoherent nonsense in your head as long as you want and addresses it with care even if it makes no medial sense.Ecology freaks should spend less time on saving endangered blue tail owls. They should focus their efforts on saving this engendered species of doctors!
