Dr Oquendo, NOT Dr Sybil Taquet****July 3 2018My daughter took my 2 year old grand daughter in for routine well baby, shots and recommendation for the a strange rash along her neckline to Dr Oquendo. It’s been there for a few weeks with no other symptoms. Every mom, including me, that she’s talked to says it’s the same thing, heat rash. I told her to use cornstarch, and different anti fungal creams, but she wanted a professional opinion.The doctor was not only unable to offer any advice or refer her to a dermatologist because he was unable to diagnose it, he thinks CPS will be better at the diagnosis! He said he’d have to call CPS because it ‘could’ be caused from being STRANGLED!My daughter text me immediately, because of this outlandish accusation. She was beside herself at the thought of being accused of strangling her beautiful baby girl. How could anyone be so cruel? How could a doctor that has sworn to do no harm, look my 8 month pregnant daughter in the eye, and accuse her of something so outrageous? He followed it up with if you’ve done nothing wrong, you don’t have to worry. Funny, if you’ve done nothing wrong other than to try and get some medical advice, this quack will give you plenty to worry about!My husband went down to have a chat with the doctor when he learned what our daughter had been put through, but he was ‘out to lunch’. He drove our daughter and grand daughter to the pediatrician that my daughter went to when she was little in Plano. Our doctor was outraged by the accusations leveled at my daughter and agreed that we should contact the Texas Medical Board and report this immediately. I will, after I warn everyone I can about this quack!
