Dr. Wells and her office staff were a breath of fresh air. I transferred to her office in January from out of state at 7 months. The process wasn’t hectic at all. Truly stress free! She’s knowledgeable, thorough, and listens. My prenatal care and delivery experience was amazing! Every pregnant woman needs a doctor like Dr. Wells.

I’ve been Dr. Newman’s patient for 9 years. She is so kind, helpful and supportive. I trust her and her staff to always take good care of me. She spends the time to check in on my life, even remembering things I’ve told her the year before and always asks how I’m doing, answering all my questions and I never feel rushed. The office staff is courteous, helpful and respectful. I’m very grateful for Magnolia!

Dr. Roth is always busy helping with Labor & Delivery. Its difficult to get into the office and you wait hours past your appointment time.Additionally, the physician incorrectly codes and bills to insurance. As an individual with no copay with Anthem they still manage to bill $500 for an annual wellness exam. This has happened twice since being with the office and its not been rectified.Do not recommend this office

I have been seeing Dr Wells for about a year. I am pregnant, so I have appointments every few weeks. I appreciate her calm demeanor, and she takes her time with me at each and every appointment. I love that I never feel rushed and she doesnt seem rushed, unlike many other doctors I have seen. I asked A LOT of questions, and Dr Wells takes her time to thoroughly address my concerns. I noticed many previous negative reviews about the office staff; I think they have been receptive to the feedback and adjusted accordingly, because I have had a good experience with the office staff thus far.

I really love Dr. Newman. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes you feel comfortable. I have had good experiences when I was actually in office. However, the overall patient care is very disappointing. The phones are rarely answered, I haven’t had a nurse pick up or call me back when a voicemail is left. If you needed an appointment relatively quickly or need any attention outside of your scheduled appointment, this is not the place to go.

I see Dr. Wells and I absolutely love her as my doctor, however, my overall experience has been very frustrating. I had an appointment WEEKS ago and was told they were putting in a prescription that day, but I called my pharmacy and they still have not received the order from the doctor. I called the office back last week and left a voicemail (because the medical assistant never answers) and the medical assistant called me back and informed me that Dr. Wells still has not finished her appointment notes from WEEKS ago so the assistant is unsure which prescription I was needing. I informed the assistant on what the name of the prescription was and she assured me that she was putting in the order request that moment for me. Sure enough, she never did. I called AGAIN today and had to leave another message. What’s the point in having doctor appointments for different treatment options when the doctor and medical assistant does not actually put in prescription orders to help with your problems?? I guess once they get their money from my appointments, it’s just on to the next patient with no regard to my issues.

I went to the doctor almost 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t been contacted for a procedure that needs to be scheduled. NO ONE has reached out to me. I had to call Mikey twice and I refused to call a third time. Hell, it’s not like I’m not paying for services. The scheduling Coordinators need to find a different profession because this is not it. I love Dr. Newman but her staff is pathetic and very unsympathetic to your needs. It’s a shame that I had to find a different doctor with a responsive staff that contacted me right away for a new patient consult. Trust me, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The follow up and scheduling is a joke and a waste of time.

I needed to see a gynecologist and fast. I called around to other Dr.s in the area and was told it would be weeks before getting in for an appointment. In googling Gynecologist Dr. Roths name appeared. I called the Magnolia Clinic and spoke with a very nice, polite and professional receptionist that was able to assist. What a God send in finding Dr. Roth, her nurse and staff. I am a post menopausal woman, Sr. Citizen, Dr. Roth was very patient and listened to the issue I was having. Dr. Roth walked me through the exam letting me know each step what she was going to do before doing it. She and her nurse both checked with me frequently to see if I was doing okay. Since I was a new patient I did arrive early to complete paperwork but the wait time was not bad. I have referred Dr. Casey Roth, MD to all of my friends.

Horrible patient care. I booked an appointment and called multiple times to confirm my apt, because I had not been reached out to. Turns out they had cancelled my appointment because they are “not taking new patients the first two weeks of January”. I had already come in, had to PAY for parking, just to be told my appointment was cancelled without my knowledge. No one ever reached out to me- called or left a voicemail or email to let me know not to come. I would have listened to a voicemail or email- so I didn’t have to take off work for the apt! I let them know I had left several voicemails to confirm and they did not care. Huge waste of time and money as well too. Do not bother trying to book a yearly exam here- you’ll never get a call back or the respect to reschedule. I never wrote bad reviews but this was just awful.

The doctors here are wonderful, Dr. Newman is very gentle and I very much appreciate her care and information when I visit. But I do not feel comfortable going back to this practice during covid-19. Other doctors offices Ive been to this year have very strict rules on waiting rooms, in capacity and who is allowed inside, this practice did not appear to abide by safety capacity measures in the waiting room. The room isnt very large and every chair was occupied with some people standing around. There are signs on the door that only patients are allowed in the exam rooms but unfortunately that means their guests stay in the waiting room for the duration of their visit. Other places absolutely do not allow anyone other than the patient (with occasional exceptions) in this waiting room. The waiting room was full of families, boyfriends and husbands, etc. My wait was about an hour and I felt very vulnerable in this dangerous situation, sharing a space with so many unnecessary people. Again, the doctors are wonderful, but the staff is not protecting their vulnerable patients.

This place is amazing. Everyone is so kind—from the sweet receptionists, to the nurse, and especially Dr. Roth. The wait time was a little excessive, but I believe this might have been out of their control. There were a lot of patients during my visit, and being a first timer, I arrived a little too late to fill out my paperwork. Unfortunately, this was because the office is located in a large medical center, and the parking situation is fairly confusing. But again, this is not Magnolia’s fault. Just be prepared for these things, and I’m sure they’ll see you in a much more timely manner.

I’m not sure why this place has such low ratings. Some reviews say the staff was rude, but during my visit today everyone was very nice and professional. I was looking to have an OBGYN appointment as soon as possible, and from 8(!) different clinics that I called Magnolia was the one with closest dates available, plus their prices were one of the lowest among those clinics too.I was called in exactly at my appointment time. Dr. Wells was super nice, gave me all the time and attention I needed without making me feel rushed, addressed all concerns I had. Best OBGYN appointment so far, I really think this place deserves more than 3.7 stars.

Dr. Newman is an incredible physician that truly cares and executes the perfect care plan for you. Pregnancy is scary especially if baby decides to come early, but Dr. Newman set a plan at the beginning of my pregnancy that kept me calm when baby decided to come early. She is thorough and plans for all scenarios so you are informed and comfortable no matter what happens. Dr. Wells performed my c-section since she was on call that day and did an incredible job. Dr. Newman still met with me before surgery to reassure me. Their residents assisting during surgery/delivery are also incredible. They are an incredible team with outstanding bed side manner.

While Dr. Wells is a nice person, our experience with her was not optimal and ended quite horribly when she botched our sons circumcision. In total, my wife experienced close enough contractions to go to the hospital on five different visits. Dr. Wells was never available in person for any of these including 24 hours of labor and eventual cesarean. After the birth of our son, my wife experienced dangerous sepsis from infection due to prolonged labor. Our baby was also in the 90th percentile for size and my wife is a small person and could not naturally birth our son. This is important because Dr. Wells is all about natural birthing. The on-call residents did their job well even though Wells could not see us. When Dr. Wells finally saw us out son was already two days old and has nothing helpful to say. For our sons circumcision, Wells was not confident enough to complete the procedure due to possible hypospadia. A urologist found this was a misdiagnosis and completed the procedure.

Doctor is fine and seemed knowledgable, but the back office is legit the worst Ive ever had to deal with, and Im going through cancer so Ive had to deal with A LOT of them lately, most of which I love and are AMAZING! Not this one, though. Im on my 4th cancelled appt in 2 months because they keep screwing up how to order an IUD. Youd think it would be basic for an ObGyn office? Nope... its been 2 months, many back-and-forths, and caught their billing/insurance in a lie which they then went in circles on... It took 17 calls over 3 days between the hours of 10 and 4 just to get through to speak with someone to make sure it was right this time before I went in for my appointment today - nope - they screwed it up again and had to cancel it. Less than 2 hr notice. I wanted to just get through this and move on, since Im at the hospital nearby every day for my cancer, but seems like nope, wont be happening - nothing is easy with these people!

I had been having some issues with my insurance that required me to see an ob who had the particular birth control i was looking for in office. My primary care doctor called around and found Magnolia and sent over a referral for me on 1/20/20. I called and scheduled the appointment for 1/23 and give all of my information and insurance info to the scheduler. I was advised to print off the new patient paperwork and bring it to the office to save time. I got there about 20 minutes ahead of time thinking it would go smoothly. Boy was I wrong. First of all, it is insanely rude to have receptionists who close partitions in your face as soon as you walk up. That should been my first sign to leave. I get called up to give my docs and ID and the lady throws my paperwork in the trash and tells me i will need to fill it all out again because the doctor i was seeing was not listed on the paperwork. She then asked for my insurance card(thought i already gave that?) and when i told her i had the digital card on my phone she huffed and said she would need to ask if they accepted digital cards. Closed the partition in my face again. I pay the copay and sit and wait to be seen. I sat for well over an hour seeing ladies who came in after me get called back fairly quickly. Finally the nurse(the only bright spot of this visit)calls me back takes my vitals and all of that. The doctor comes in and speaks with me for all of 5 minutes about the birth control I wanted only to tell me that they wanted to consult before administering it(i specifically asked if this was the case prior to scheduling as I had to leave work for this appointment and was told otherwise) and that they would also need to run my insurance(again why ask for it two times prior if you dont check it beforehand) she tells me to schedule the appointment about 1-2 weeks out and that would give them time to get authorization. When I get to the desk to check out and schedule this lady then tells me they wont schedule my appointment until they have checked my insurance then they will call to schedule. I leave after two hours total extremely disappointed. Ironically I then get a call the next day trying to schedule the appointment from the referral my doctor sent over on 1/20/20(FOUR DAYS LATER) after i told the girl i had already seen a doctor that was the end of the phone call. I never received a phone call about scheduling a time for the birth control to be put in or heard anything back from them at all. But they sure were able to run my insurance and make sure they got their money. Worst OB office ive ever been to my life and will not go back. Stay away from this place if you value feeling like an actual patient and not a number they want money from.

I went through a very traumatic 4 month pregnancy and it was made exponentially more difficult by the fact that I had to call endlessly in order to get any kind of information. Dr. Wells is wonderful but we finally had to switch. The staff here is horrible, extremely rude, and always acted as though you were an interruption to their day (the only exception being the lady who schedules appointments - I think her name was Lacey). We were constantly waiting 45+ min for appointments and a normal office visit would last anywhere from 2-3 hours. If there was ever an issue with a prescription, it was impossible to get anyone on the phone and if you called on a Thursday, you might get a call on Friday...but usually it would be the following week. In the end, it just wasnt worth it and we were sick of the disrespectful staff and having to wait so long every time we had a prenatal visit.

I love Dr. Wells and the lady that schedules appointments, but all the other employees are extremely rude and won’t return phone calls. I was finally able to reach someone today after calling for a week, but the lady I spoke with kept on yelling at me, would not allow me to get a word in, refused to get me to a manager, AND hung up on me. If I am able to find out the name of the lady that answered the phone, I will come back to let y’all know. I do not recommend this place to anyone if you like to be treated like a human being. I probably won’t be back unless they get rid of some of their staff.Update: I spoke to the office manager and she apologized for the way the staff treated the situation. However, the apology did not seem genuine and I caught her in lies. She had said the reason I got no response from them and why they were not returning my calls for days was because they couldn’t get ahold of my doctor since she had been in surgery. But then I replied that someone in the office told me that they talked to my doctor and then the office manager backtracked and said she did speak with the doctor. I then confronted her about lying and then she backtracked AGAIN. Also, when I told her I had posted this review she questioned me doing it saying that all I am doing is hurting Dr. Wells. I told her that I refused to remove the comment though because I do not want anyone to experience the same situation that I am in now.

I chose Dr Lauren Wells as my OBGYN. Very professional and thorough. Always personally called me if my bloodwork showed anything of concern. From the beginning on, I told her I wanted VBAC and no epidural (unless I went into a 30+ h labor like my first one) and she respected my wishes. Many of my friends tell stories of OBGYNs pushing for c-section (especially with VBACs) or labor induction, and I experienced none of that with Dr Lauren Wells. And she’s super nice and the calmest person I’ve ever met! I can definitely recommend her to others. I have one criticism of the clinic though, NOT related to Dr Lauren Wells. One of the other OBGYNs offers cosmetic injectables like Restylane and Botox. Not at the Magnolia clinic, but she has ads hanging there. Personally, I think that’s wrong. Let’s face it, during and after pregnancy few women feel like the prettiest versions of themselves with pimples, extra fat, hair loss, sagging skin etc. In that moment, you’re an easy target for these ads and of all places they should not be found in an Ob/Gyn clinic.

Torn between 3 and 4 stars...Dr Smith and the other doctors that I met here strike me as very intelligent and medically capable, although I personally did not find them to be the most compassionate. If you want a Dr that is cautious in prenatal care, and refers you to specialists to check out any problems you are having, that is Dr. Smith. They will run tests, do extra ultrasounds if needed, etc. They have an ultrasound tech and labcorp blood person in their office every day (or so it seemed). That being said, I always felt the wait was long and the actual face time with the doctor pretty short. 10 minute meeting many times, like she was walking out of the room before I had finished my questions. It seems like they have a large patient load and a lot going on. Expect to wait 30 minutes-1 hour for your appointments. Every. Time. Front desk was not the most friendly and not much availability for appointments, but I got used to that. Sometimes Dr Smith would forget details about me or we would have repeat conversations. I get it, Doctors arent robots, but it would have been nice to feel like your doctor remembered you during your first pregnancy (too much to ask?) I loved the nurses at this practice, and the billing department is actually one of the best I have encountered. They will get you your refund if you were overcharged, and they will check your coverage BEFORE billing you. I did end up with an unplanned c-section when I wanted a natural birth. Dr Smith did the C Section assisted by a resident. I had no issues or complications with the recovery. Also, Baylor is a teaching hospital. I was laboring in the middle of the night and saw a few different residents and nurses--nobody told me this before and just would have liked to know what to expect. Labor nurses and post partum nurses at baylor were great. You will pay 3-5$ parking for each appointment.

Doctor Kamilia Smith is an awesome doctor, facility is great. However, too great. Im currently switching physicians due to the heavy patient clientele @ Magnolia. I have nothing bad to say about the staff.. They are so nice and so welcoming. However being that I am pregnant, Im sure most pregnant women can agree that having easy, hassle free communication with your doctor and nurse is vital to your prenatal journey. I had a womens exam yesterday and had a missed call from them today with no voicemail left. Im sure it was regarding my results. Called the office today and answering service told me to call back in 5 min or before 4:30 (closing) because they had heavy call volume. So I did. When I called back I got an answering machine saying they were closed. Called a few more times for peace of mind. Nope. Still closed @ 3:00 pm. Now I will have to wait until Monday for results. Which to me, it isnt the results Im concerned about. Its the fact that if something was desperately wrong, I want to know that I can get through to someone when I need it. And this isnt the first concern I have, they called me at the beginning of my pregnancy to give me gender results for my baby... Well they werent even mine! They gave me results of someone elses. Two days before yesterdays appointment. They called to push my appointment up .. An appointment Id had set for 2 weeks. Okay.. I can handle that. Appointment was at 2:15pm.. I wasnt seen until after 3pm.. The waiting room was full. Parking is a nightmare.. You have to pay for it every time you have an appointment. Like I said, my frustrations were not with the staff. I just think they are way too busy of an OB office for my liking. Seems like the heavy patient volume tarnishes their level organization a little bit.

Look elsewhere in the Dallas area. I booked an appointment 6 weeks out and a week before my appointment I was told they had to cancel it and could not get me in until March. They did not seem to care nor do anything to try and get me in sooner.
