Please allow me to share my story, having lower back pain,headache, arm and leg weakness is just a few symptoms I was having so I had epidural injection and taking pain pills everyday was starting to get the best of me.My dear husband saw in my face that I was indeed tired and frustrated so my husband found Dr.Hyder,it was like God answered my prayers, I visited Dr.Hyders office twice and with the confidence Dr.Hyder had just took the fear away from me,yes I was scared but his confidence assured me that everything would be alright and It was,I was in the best hands ever,surgery went well,the time he told me it would take was on point, I wasnt in very much pain and I was up and walking around within 2 weeks not power walking but where I was suppose to be, no pain just stiff and sore,I HIGHly recommend Dr.Hyder....YOU WONT REGRET!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Hyder is amazing. I’d suffered from sciatic pain for years and it finally reached a point where I was experiencing weakness in my right shin. After getting scans, it was determined by Dr. Hyder that I needed spinal decompression surgery.Dr. Hyder sat me down and was so thorough in going over what I should expect from pre-operation prep to the procedure itself to post-operation recovery. Full disclosure, the idea of spinal surgery had me uneasy but Dr. Hyder couldn’t have been more reassuring on everything, thus easing my worries.The surgery itself was so minimally invasive, I almost couldn’t believe it. The incision was hardly two inches and within three weeks of the operation, I was healed enough to get the staples out. I had zero complications with healing and I couldn’t be happier today. My sciatica had become debilitating, limiting my day to day function. Dr. Hyder gave me that life back and I could not be more grateful.For those who are weary of the idea of back surgery, this review is mostly for you. Because I was just like you until I went to Dr. Hyder. He is a top notch, world class physician/surgeon and you can be assured you will receive the utmost quality care. Before I went under I had severe sciatic pain radiating down my leg. And as soon as I woke up, that pain was gone.

Highly recommended! I actually saw two of the doctors for myself, and a third doctor for my son. All were great! Very knowledgeable and professional. Office staff was great too. The young girl who I made my last appointment with was very friendly and helpful. I wish I could give more stars!

I typically never leave reviews, but I felt it was necessary after my experience with Dr. Hyder. I have had neck pain and tingling/numbness in my hands for months and it finally got to a point where I was miserable on a daily basis. He walked me through my history and explained to me that he believed surgically fixing my neck was most likely my best option. I decided to take his advice. When I woke up from surgery, I knew something was better. I had pain from the surgery, but the tingling in my hands was gone. I’m now a few months out and can say my life is significantly better because of my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Hyder. My daily activities are back to normal.

Dr. Hyder was my second opinion, and he did not feel it necessary that I have surgery until I exercise all other options. I’m am now going through physical therapy and am feeling much better. I am hopeful not to need surgery. Thank you Dr. Hyder!

Dr. Hyder is an incredible orthopedic spine surgeon and anyone considering him should know that they will be in the right hands. I have worked in the field for 13 years and he is one of the best surgeons I have ever encountered! I will gladly refer him to my friends and loved ones any day... (And I have).

Dr Hyder and his staff are great. My family doctor sent him to see me and I got in right away. From the first visit I knew this was the doctor for me. we went over my concerns and my problems, he spent a great length of time going over my xrays and MRI and different treatment options. I’ve been with Dr Hyder for 6 months now. His staff and office are great too.

Dr. Hyder did my spine surgery a little over three weeks ago and I’m already up and about. He did an amazing job! Dr. Hyder and his staff (Mike and Dawn:both were absolutely awesome) thoroughly explained my surgery, the before and after, and took great care of me. They calmed any fears I had as well. It was such a good experience for surgery. If you have any bone or joint issues, I highly recommend Dr. Hyder and his staff.

I’ve been living with sciatica off and on for yearsMost of the time it got better with rest and after a few days. Then this nov it started after I was moving and there was no relief. I did Chiro, physical therapy, steroid injections with no relief. My friend suggested dr Hyder. We tried one more injection and it helped a little but I was starting to fall. Dr Hyder did a microscopic discotmy. I felt great as soon as I woke up. I went home the same day and I feel great.His staff was awesome too and the new office is very clean and neet. I never had to wait for more than 10 min.So grateful

I saw DR Hyder for a second opinionim not good with medical talk so I felt I needed a second opinionHe spent for 45 minutes going over my problem. he explained my disco bulge and why I was having trouble walking using words I could understandHe also showed me models and pictures. He even showed me my Mri CD and pointed out the disc. I left very comfortable. next week Im getting an injection with a pain doctor I hope it works!!

In all fairness I have to change my review of Dr Hyder. Once we got the communication issues behind us he made things happen fast. Im going to surgery soon to relieve the spine pain. Today has been two weeks since Ive had surgery. My pain is mostly gone and I can walk without a severe limp.I have to thank Dr Hyder for eliminating the pain Ive had for over two years.

Dr. Hyder and staff are very professional and considerate. My results are great. I do not have any pain and can do more now than I have in years without pain.

I feel very fortunate that I found Dr. Hyder. I have been having neck pain and headaches for years. We tried physical therapy first, but my problems did not get better. We decided to have surgery, and I wish I would have had it sooner! Outside of a little pain from the incision, my neck pain and headaches were gone as soon as I woke up. Front desk staff was rude with me because they failed to check my insurance that they didnt take. I was yelled at and they were insincere with their apology.

The first surgery Dr. Hyder did on my husbands neck was in October 2016. Before the operation he couldn’t even hold anything in his hand and had excruciating pain that radiated down his arm. 2 weeks later he was virtually pain free. The second surgery was exactly 1 month later on his lower back. He went back to work 3 weeks after that, pain free. Dr. Hyder is an amazing surgeon. He is absolutely the best there is hands down. He’s very knowledgeable and an all around nice man. The entire staff is friendly and were always there to help. It’s been almost 2 yrs. since my husbands surgery and he is still pain free to this day. Many thanks to Dr. Hyder. Your the best in the business.

After 3 surgeries on her spine, my wife cannot walk upright and is still under the care of a pain management doctor. While not lacking in confidence, Dr. Hyder showed a lack of awareness of my wifes real world condition, her quality of life. Both of us regret ever having him operate on my wife.

Ive been to see Dr. Hyder twice for a couple different surgeies. My recovery time has been minimal and Ive had no lingering problems. Dr. Hyder is kind, knowledgeable, and an expert in his field. If I have any family or friends that experience back or neck issues, I will be sending them to see Dr. Hyder.

Dr Hyder is the best spine surgeon in Chicagoland. I am completely pain freeBack to running 5ks. My scar is less than an inch. I went home the same day and was back to work in no time. Thank you so much for changing my life. The staff is great!

Best spine doctor in the area

Dr Hyder performed back surgery on my mother in June 2015. She still cant walk without a walker but her problems with her back have been mitigated. It took longer than we had hoped and the surgery procedures werent as expected, but that is probably because my mother had already had two surgeries and was a mess. After I wrote my initial no stars review, Dr. Hyder called me to discuss the issues. After four years, my mother is better, and she is without back pain. I was unfair with a no star review. I give him three stars just because the expectation was different from the actual results. Took much longer to recover, but she did recover.

Would give no star at all but you dont have this option ....Not a very nice staff I was cut off multiple times by Ashley. I was referred for my six year old to be seen by Munster Commmunity Hospital. Upon calling the office they told me they DID NOT ACCEPT MY INSURANCE and did not take cases regarding anything with an arm/wrist fracture. Told me they would have to get back to me. After calling the Hospital and they set me for a one time appointment knowin they were required to see him after the emergency room visit. After all this I decided it was not a place I wanted my son to go to. How Inhumane and ignorant.....The care my son needs would obviously be more then a one time thing. I would not recommend this place at all. The hassle is not worth it

Dr. Hyder is the most understanding person in his field. He tells you exctally what he will be able to do for you. He said that he could make me 50-75% better. Guess what Dr. Hyder, its much better than that. Thank You for everything you have done for me! You are a truely compassionate Dr. that really CARES about your patients well being. Dr Hyder is awesomeI am finally pain free and narcotic free. I usually dont write reviews, but i felt i had to share my experience. I am a walking commercial according to my friends. I would recommend Dr Hyder to anyone. After years of popping pills and getting injections for my back I finally had it fixed. its been 3 months and i am no longer taking and thing stronger than tylenol. I can finally play run around with my kids . Thank you Dr Hyder!!!

I had surgery with Dr HyderI met him for a second opinion after a friend suggested I go to him. He immediately made me feel more comfortable. The other surgeon wouldnt even look me in the eye. I met Dr Hyder a few more times and each time felt more comfortable. I finally had my back fixed. It was done at the surgery center in munster. I went home the same day. I felt relieve right away. My back pain was minimal and leg pain was gone. I went back to work 4 days later just to catch up on some office work. I am now 2 months out and feel great!!!! Definitely see Dr Hyder.
