I’ve given Dr simantrakis a few tries only to be let down EVERY SINGLE TIME. He is rude and judge mental. Last year I had appendicitis and he would not admit me to the ER because I hadn’t recently been in his office. Therefore I had to pay a huge ER bill. This year he refused to help me with any anxiety and kept pushing me to see a psychiatrist which I refused. He would gladly prescribed my anti-depressant meds that I adamantly states I did not want. He does not listen only judges. I would not recommend him to anyone

He saved my life once so I felt a sense of loyalty. He was a better doctor in the beginning, perhaps because he was just starting his practice. He runs a bunch of unnecessary test. He does not give a resolution or concrete answer. He does not give a ball park answer anymore. He will farm out his work to other specialist.

I am always satisfied with my visits with Dr. S. He doesnt try to push medications but knows what is needed and will prescribe a medication if the condition requires it. He is always friendly and his nurses are also. I never feel rushed through a visit but also try not to take too much of his time.

Horrible doctor. Poor communication and doctor has subpar listening skills. Echoing what other reviews have said, the communication between his office staff and the doctor is VERY poor. If you contact the office about something, expect to have to contact them at least 5-10 times more before the doctor can get anything right and place the order. Though this office does accept a wide range of insurance, I struggle to recommend this doctor even for something as simple as getting antibiotics for an infection. Im in awe this doctor even has an M.D..

My husband has been off of work since May, due to high blood pressure. After they got it stable, they then decided to have him do a sleep study, that was all good, then to a lung test, then heart ultrasound.. everything came back good. We ended up having to file a short term disability claim.. it took 8 weeks to get a check because the doctors office would not send the documents required. Now he got a release to go back 3 months later and Dr wrote a note, and work needed a form. Well, they made him wait to come in for an app- just to fill it out. It was a week later. Each app cost 30 dollars and sometimes he doesnt even have to be seen. Dr takes his weight and signs a paper. 30 dollars x9 visits adds up especially when there are no changes. I think my insurance should know. All this aside. If your app is at 1 your not seen till 3. Unprofessional and unhelpful. We have been told that the things they pull is Medicare fraud. Done with this doctor, this office and almost the whole alliance.

Sad to write a negative review, but I want everyone else to be wary of the issue I had. I really like the doctor, its his staff (especially in billing) that are terrible. I saw him for a visit and got a referral to a specialist - no problem. Needed ear surgery. Got the ear surgery. Everything was going fine, then I needed to go back for a final post-op check with a hearing test. I guess he expressed to his staff he wanted me to come in again so the staff PULL THE REFERRAL AND DONT TELL ME. My insurance company has to have the referral to pay the bill. So of course I go to my post-op check and get a bill for $800. I call everyone and finally the billing/referral girl at his office admits that she pulled the referral and then didnt call me to let me know he wanted to see me again before my post-op. Now Ive been trying to get this corrected and his staff will not answer my calls or return my messages.

As far as medical advice goes: I definitely feel like he is only in it for the money - getting bills for $126 for him to tell me to go visit another doctor and then come back to see him...Not only that, but I feel very awkward every time I am in the room with him. His nursing staff is not very friendly or welcoming. I feel like Im bothering them every time I go for a visit. I thought that I was just being pessimistic so I gave him a second and third and forth chance, but every time is the same.

Not happy at all with Dr. Simantirakis billing procedures. I just received a bill for a double visit because, aside from a yearly physical checkup, my husband went in for flu and whooping cough shots and discussed subjects outside of the physical exam (such as recent development of lactose intolerance and knee pain), so apparently that warranted a separate office visit fee for the 2 minutes of additional talking that was involved. Not cool and we will definitely be looking for different doctor with fair billing practices. This guy is just looking to make an extra buck where he can--despicable.
