Horribleeee. There are no Covid 19 guidelines whatsoever. The waiting room is packed plus people standing. I waited over 2 hours and they had only called in one person. I eventually left because guess what I started reading all the other reviews on here stating the complete disrespect for your time. What a complete garbage place and waste of time. What’s the point of making an appointment? Ridiculous.

I only been in the clinic twice. The doctor and APRN were good. The waiting time is ridiculous and when you call you are not able to explain anything. You are cut off and instead of speaking in English they automatically speak to you in Spanish. Not everyone speaks Spanish or for that matter understands.

This office is a joke. Every visit takes 3 hours. They always overbook their calendar and ALWAYS run behind the schedule. They don’t value their time and unless they are going to pay you for the wait, don’t waste your time and money!!!!

This is the first time my wife walks out of a Dr. office. These people were rude, condescending and disrespectful!!! The blond front desk lady had the worst attitude and customer / patient service skills ever! At check in, had to wait literally 5 minutes while behind the glass they carried on laughing and talking while I waited after ringing the bell. Then I get told even though my appointment was at 9am that I will have to wait until who knows when so my insurance could be verified, and that several messages were left on my voice mail. Only two were left one confirming and the other was in Spanish! We live in the US, not everybody speaks Spanish in Miami! You would think a Dr. Office would leave messages so people could understand them! If I have a serious condition (the reason why I waited for over a month for this appointment) I would never want a doctor treating me if this is how he runs his office and lets his staff treat patients. I would have been a new patient for him, but I am definitely going elsewhere! This lady should be fired!

Dr. Pita is a knowledgeable and highly-regarded doctor. That said, the sheer lack of respect for his patients’ time and, therefore, his lack of personal integrity, is unconscionable. That he is a reputable doctor does not grant him a free pass to disregard patients’ time. I do not care if you are the Pope—my time is not less valuable than yours. Every visit requires a minimum of ~ 3 hours’ wait for a 15-minute consultation. Clearly he has his staff overbook his schedule. Also, another issue is many patients are squeezed in immediately, even if they arrive while patients WiTH ACTUAL PRIOR APPOINTMENTS are waiting to be seen. No, it is definitely not worth the wait.

Worth the wait 100%- Although setting the appointment was for 3 mo.after my call (holidays were in the middle) It was well worth the wait. I was SUPER nervous and Dr. Pita staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Pita was so kind and caring that he put my nerves at ease. His office was very nice and the wait was minimal. So glad to have had such an amazing experience. If there were 10 stars I would rate it a 10!! Thank you Dr. Pita and staff. I will gladly recommend you to anyone in need of your service. Very pleased with your services today.:)

Dr. Pita came highly recommended by another doctor and word of mouth, however, I was not happy with my family members treatment at this office. Firstly, the front office staff is extremely rude anytime you call, have poor communication skills, and cannot wait to get rid of you. They practically bark at you. Its the most brusque doctors office Ive ever encountered. However, the day we went, the office was a little better, but even with an appointment, we waited an hour before being let in. My family member said it was a miracle because they usually have to wait 2 hours to get in.Then Dr. Pita openly dismissed all our worries about pain, stating that the injections to the neck would be nothing, quick and painless. We asked to have my family member numbed and he said that would be *worse* than the procedure itself. But the procedure was crudely done and extremely painful. I wish the numbing had been done. A doctor should respect their patient. Even a dentist will respect you and numb you if you ask, so how is it this was done with no numbing?!And Dr. Pita injected 6 to 8 times instead of 2 times because he missed repeatedly! His aim this day was awful and kept injecting the wrong spot. We believe he also injected the nerve because the intense pain shot up the face and jaw and lasted 24 hours. The worst part was that he dismissed the pain saying it was nothing, no big deal. You can tell he has never had it done to himself. My impression of this doctor is that he doesnt care; he already decided it doesnt hurt and so he obstinately seems to believe that is the only reality. He was visibly and vocally quite annoyed that we requested numbing, as if we insulted him by being worried about pain. What a strange reaction to a completely normal patient concern! In addition, he prescribed medicine but he neglected to tell us about any interactions with the other prescribed meds. We found out through our own research that there is a serious life-threatening reaction with one of the existing meds, as well as many adverse side effects worse than what the medicine is supposed to prevent. None of this was disclosed to us.In addition, some patients and employees in the office were not wearing masks; no one enforced it, including one employee who had his nose out the entire time. What a crazy thing to see at a medical office where they know better. What a lack of respect for patients with chronic health conditions who come in during the pandemic out of DIRE necessity. The only good thing about the visit was the nurse Elisa, who is like an angel of kindness, thank you kind woman.Lastly, it took about 2 weeks of follow up calls to finally get the prescription sent to the pharmacy, only to find out it may be too dangerous to take.

Terrible terrible office. Been going for 11 years. I called twice to confirm my insurance was still active and never heard back. Show up for my appointment and they proceed to tell me they no longer accept my insurance. When I asked if there was someone they could recommend they said I had to make a separate appointment to come back and review. Should have stopped coming years ago. Such a disappointment.

I LOVE Dr. Pita. He is the best doctor I have ever met. He controlled my A1C levels really fast and helped me control my levels during my pregnancy! He takes the time to talk to you and explain things in such a nice way. I owe my healthy pregnancy to his advice and care. Its a bit of a wait to see him, but its worth it!

Julio Pita is a good doctor. That is the only good thing about his practice. This is the most incompetent doctors office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Not a single ounce of respect for your time. His office is always jam packed with overbooked patients. What does that mean? You get seen at 4PM for your 1PM appointment. And calling them to get a prescription sent to the pharmacy over the phone is a massive ordeal that will require multiple phone calls to request the same thing over and over. I am currently dealing with them trying to get an authorization form for my insurance for insulin since Wednesday (which I will run out of tomorrow, Sunday). In order to bypass the authorization, I have to switch to a different brand of insulin which would only require a new prescription which has been impossible to get thus far. I am done dealing with them. If you value your health and your time go elsewhere.

Avoid this office at all costs. My fiancé has been going there for years. I went with him to an appointment last year and had to wait 3 hours to be seen. It was ridiculous. This year, we waited 5 hours. There were 14 people in the waiting room when we got there. 14...for one doctor. There is something wrong there. Evidently all this man cares about is jam packing his waiting room to see more patients and make more money because it is disrespectful to have people waiting 5 hours to see you for a 15 min appointment. That is just one of his problems. Next comes his inability to take care of his patients. My fiances pump has been acting up and not reading appropriately. It tells him he is high, when he is low, etc. My fiancé was worried because his values have increased because of it and when he asked his doctor for help, he brushed him off. I am a health care provider, as is my father, he could have attempted to help. Next, we have the fact that my fiance has been attempting to get a prescription refilled/changed since Wednesday. Its now Sunday and he is almost out of his insulin. He has called multiple times. The office always says they will handle it, but nothing. They close and go home for the day and forget he exists, much less that he relies on their prescription of insulin to survive. If you value your time, patience, and life... Go elsewhere. Thankfully my fiance finally is.

Went to see Pita to get on better thyroid medication. He changed my brand and listened to everything I had to say at that initial consult and told me to return in 2 months for labs. I was very excited for the future and felt I was finally in front of an expert in the field.Fast forward 12 weeks, I went in for my lab results and have my medication tweaked accordingly. My results were ok, not optimal (which is what I was seeking) and my TSH read low. He told me my problems aren’t thyroid related at all and that I should be looking into a chronic fatigue specialist and a therapist if I still wasn’t feeling great. And said it’s all in my head and I’m making it up. And everything I’ve researched regarding thyroid is completely FALSE! He became very irate. I told him how much I’ve been suffering the last 4 years from this and his response was look at the degrees and plaques on my wall. 40 years experience I know what I am talking about! Instead of explaining my new treatment plan he kicked me out of his office. My results came in 2 weeks before that meeting. No one called me to tell me my results, no one called my pharmacist to revise my medication. His office is flooded with people significantly older than me and each wait time is over 1 hour. If your looking to see him for basic thyroid issues totally pass on him. I truly believe he kicked me out because I’m simply not enough $$$ for him. He doesn’t want to just interpret resukta or even bother explaining the labs with you, he wants people who down the road need surgery.

Very hostile attention from theReception staff. Conditions of care for prevention of COVID, do not exist. The waiting room full of elderly people and the space does not meet the required Ft distances, Waiting times despite the fact that it is by appointment with an assigned schedule, exaggerated and without any coordination. My waiting time was 3 hours in a room that repelled people so I decided to withdraw.
