When I went to tour the facility they told me that it was a very safe place and they would be able to take care of my husband in the proper manner. Within 2 days they called EMS and said they could no longer keep him there they sent him to a hospital unbeknownst to me the hospital checked him out, sent him back to Pruitt and Pruitt denied him and said he could not come back. If I could rate them below one star I would. I got many different messages from many different people and none of them coincided. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the amount of lies that were told from various employees and staff especially the administrators. I was told that they could care for him in a safe manner and they did not.

Sharice was awesome. She was always polite and caring. She answered all my questions and met all my needs. The other staff I met were also friendly. Thank you all for taking care of my husband while he was there. God bless you all!

If I could give zero stars I would. Everyone there are rude and inconsiderate. They lie and they don’t care about your loved one. All they care about is how they can manage their books to get more money. Never take your loved one there. Wish I never had, worse decision ever made. Always remember what comes around goes around. I don’t know how they sleep at night taking advantage of others and even in their time of sadness they don’t care. Never even said sorry for your loss nothing. Didn’t even give back all the belongings. Shameful.

Very professional experience working with the staff at Pruitthealth. It was wonderful getting to see my brother up close in person after a year.

Phone reception is lacking. On first attempt, call was answered and transferred. But, after at least 30 rings no answer. I have tried 3 times since to call main number with multiple rings in each case for the call finally to terminated with a busy signal. Something is amiss!

Please never take your loved one their. They don’t answer calls. They unplug the call buttons at night. My mother fell 3 times in the 3 weeks she was there. I had to track down sheets for her bed one day because they removed the sheets but didn’t replace them; so over an hour later, I had to go find some. The staff wasn’t friendly. No one ever called me when she fell. Nothing. This facility makes me sick. It’s a joke.

My father was in this place for two days and we had him taken back to the hospital. He pressed the call button and no one showed up. After my mom arrived, he pressed it again. After 45 minutes, she finally walked to the nurses desk and asked the nurse what was going on. The staff that was working on him did not put a wound vac on him so he went over 24 hours with no wound vac. The bandages, that were put on him for transport only, were not checked and his wound drained all night on to his clothes. His wound began swelling and we contacted his doctor and explained everything so we took him back to the hospital where we were met by his doctor. When we arrived at Pruitt Health Columbia, to have my father transported back to the hospital, there was no one at the front desk and the doors were unlocked. Residents were rolling around in their wheelchairs. What if one had went out the door. We went up the elevator to our floor, walked down the hall, still no employees, walked past the nurses station, still no employees, looking in the rooms for anyone that worked there, but did not see anyone. Get to the last room and a lady with hospice came out. She found the nurse finally. At 7:05pm the residents were finally getting their dinner. Please do not send your loved ones here. There was only one nurse and two CNAs on the entire floor. I never saw the CNA that was suppose to be on my dads end of the hall.

My husband (53 yrs old) was there two weeks before he died. Someone cheerfully called me from the office, asked me how i was doing, then told me he had passed. I was stunned and not at all prepared. I had visited and talked with him the night before. I have since found out that most care facilities dont tell you over the phone. It was about 2-3 hours before i could get down there. During that time, I received 4 phone calls asking me what I wanted to do with the body. My mother and I finally got there, and despite all the calls, no one was around to meet us. A nurse sent us up to his room. My husband had somehow fallen onto the floor and been found there. His bed had no rails, and he was very weak. One side of his face was red and bruised - that I later found out from a friend who works in hospice meant he had hit the floor and been left there a while. When staff found him (after a few hours), they put him back on the bed, hair wild and eyes open. That is how i found him. I was not prepared for this sight. My 15 yr old daughter was with me. We knew it would be hard, but we were truly not ready for the sight that met us. My mother tidied his hair, tried to close his eyes, and pulled a sheet over him while we collected his things, at least the things we could find. No one could answer questions about what happened to him, what caused him to pass. My mother looked thru his lap top later and found several messages hed written to the nursing staff (it was hard for him to be understood vocally, so he typed his questions and concerns out). She flat out told me not to read them yet b/c they would be hard to process. He was very concerned about his treatment. My stepfather was in rehab at a different facility - not Pruitt. My mother told the staff about what she saw with my husband and they were horrified. This was 4 months ago (March). I had asked our doctor about moving my husband elsewhere. i was told the process would be long and complicated (hed have to be released home, re-admitted to the hospital, and recommended to another rehab) and we werent sure he could handle all that movement. My husband and i both tried to research options. My husband was very weak and sick. I was not entirely surprised that he died (we knew it was coming, just no idea that fast). My biggest regret is knowing he spent his last two weeks in a dingy room where he coudlnt see out the window, where the nurses treated him like a little old man who couldnt understand them (he was completely lucid), and he was basically neglected. He had spent the previous two weeks in a hospital with attentive staff, gorgeous views, and comfortable clean climate. Pruitt was gross. I hate the idea that he died alone on a cold dirty floor. now that im over the initial shock of my loss, im moving into the territory of anger and sadness. i miss my beloved and hate that this happened to him. I wish he could have passed quietly at the hospital or even at home.Pruitt sent me a memory box that was engraved with their name and full of literature for Pruitt. I threw it away. I couldnt bear to see their name. I have also received a few phone calls asking me to pay the bill. I have flat out told them that Im sorting out probate and they can damn well wait until Im ready. We had hoped hed get better, at least for a while. If Id had the foresight to know that this was the place hed live his last days...I would have worked harder to get him out of there. I will never be ok with what happened to him, how it happened. I visited him about 6 days a week, and hated that place.Do not ever let your loved ones end up here! Do not!

Disgusting deplorable place. Catheter laying on floor next to urine and blood stains, rings around sinks and hair left in drain in bathrooms and gross mold and dirt and dust built up on AC unit. They dont even have working AC right now through the common areas. Staff was rude and uncaring and gave out my fathers medical info to me over the phone without verifying my relation to him. I sat on the phone 2 different times this week waiting for an answer while it rang and waited 15 minutes each. Had to call their dispatch line and was informed they dont have staffing on the phones during certain hours.

Pruitt Health said it denies that it is a medical or healthcare provider in response to a lawsuit where they allowed a resident to die a horrific and preventable death from a scabies infection. They care about money, not people. Avoid.
