From the time that I walked in to the time I lefted, they made me feel comfortable and especially the lady with white pepper color hair w/black glasses at the front desk. Thank you. They were very professional, detailed and quick as they could be. I will definitely recommend this location.

We had the absolute best experience at this urgent care on Sunday! Kim at the front desk got us checked in quickly. We were taken back almost immediately and Hunter got all of my sons vitals without him shedding a single tear. And I cannot say enough wonderful things about the physician we saw. Gerardo was absolutely incredible and by far the best we have seen at a Medcare. He was quick, but listened carefully and explained everything thoroughly. He even got my son to laugh a little. If we ever need to visit again, we definitely hope he is working! Overall amazing experience and we cannot thank the staff enough for a quick and easy visit.

Wait times are inaccurate. Waited 20 minutes to see someone after setting an appointment in advance, and I waited over an hour sitting in an exam room waiting for a doctor. They only have one doctor on staff. The experience is more like an ER visit. You’d be better off going to the hospital. You might get out faster for simple things (which is what this place is suppose to be for).

I visited this location on Saturday, September 25. The staff was phenomenal but doctor on duty was horrific!!!!! The objective goal for these hospitalist is to properly diagnose and be preventive in the need of medical care so the patient wouldn’t have to return. I know my body and what’s going on and needed a antibiotic. Well she didn’t prescribe one and my condition has worsen. Now I’ve got to go to a Doctor’s Care in hopes I will be medically treated and get the medication needed. If primary physician wasn’t booked out to November and referring his patients out to Urgent Care or Doctors Care.

I signed up for save my spot on line; however, this is a waste of time. I show up ten minutes early just and they requested on the website and still have to wait an hour and forty fives minutes before being seen. What the purpose of signing up?!!!!

My overall visit was good cannot say excellent because the waiting time after called to the treatment room was over an hour and a half. Extremely long while being in pain. What concerning they were not crowd and I realized they needed lab results from tests but they could have offered to admin something for pain while I was coughing like I have tuberculosis which I do not have. The wait time was unacceptable but the physician was very thorough.

I scheduled my appointment via their website and was promptly checked in. Unfortunately what turned out to be a COVID screening(that should be free per government regulations) resulted in a 50 dollar copay only to wait in a cramped crowded waiting room. I’ll pass and take my chances with DHEC. At least I know I’m safe in my car and it’s absolutely free.I also spoke with my insurance provider afterwards and confirmed they’re in network and that my visit should have been covered 100%

The wait...2 hours in a waiting room 30 minutes in the exam room, still no doctor. The receptionist said everyone was called back before my mom because of save my spot. My 84 year old mom doesnt use internet or have a smart phone so she is out of luck signing in early.

The online check in process was simple and quick. The facility was neat & clean. When I arrived I had minimum wait time before I was called to triage. The Provider and Medical staff was very professional thorough courteous and understanding. My total visit took less than 45 minutes. I was definitely impressed with the quality of care I received. I would definitely refer others to this facility.

Had an appointment for 6:31pm and left at 8:50pm...well after closing. The visit started out well pretty fast moving then after I got to a room I was forgotten about for over an hour. Then after they finally came in to talk about my symptoms they left and things started moving quickly again...speaking that they were 5 minutes from closing. Then the magical icing on the cake was when I was ready for discharge at 8:45ish when I opened my rooms door to find no one but the janitor at the end of the hall confused about the situation he found himself in with me (rightly so). I was literally forgotten about a second time and the staff left on top of it. I just really want to say thank you to the janitor for helping me out and getting me out the door.

You can do better..dont settle for convenience, drive a little further for quality care.Went in to get clarity on a lingering issue. The pa listened but I hardly felt heard. I was then sent down the hall for x-rays. After the x-rays they found nothing and made me feel weird for asking for a referral to a specialist. I then asked for my x-rays and they gave me a disc, which come to find out its hard to find a disc reader these days.I just walked out of another Dr who made me feel heard and validated, took x-rays and sent me home with a diagnosis, a path forward AND my x-rays in an email form so I dont have to pay for them again.

Wow, the is an excellent urgent care medical center with top notch staff all around. Thank you Kim, James, Hunter and Dr. La Roche for the excellent care. I arrived with a hand wound and the front desk gal Kim entered all my data since I could not write. The initial interviewer was thorough personable and explained everything well. The medical care and treatment was professional and was explained as we progressed. Attention was paid to my comfort while I waited. Care was given to totally disinfect the wound. The aftercare instructions were clear and the prescription for medicines was digitally sent to the pharmacy of my choice. Thank you to all working there under these Covid conditions and thank you for your welcoming, caring attitude. I am at home now with stitches and a soft, hard bandage cast and feeling so much better.

Be careful with this urgent care. Ask what they will do before they actually perform any thing on you. Because they will charge you and dont even have all the tools to do what they need to do unprofessional and will not refund your money. Charging people and not doing no work sad,

The doctor was efficient and the nurse was kind and friendly. I got my needs taken care of and medications prescribed.However, I have to give a low rating because I sat for three full hours in the waiting room. I understand and accept that mine was not an emergency case and there could have been many others who needed care before me. But when I signed in, I was told by the front desk theyll be with you shortly. I then proceeded to sit in a chair for three hours before being seen. Again, I understand the circumstances but I would have at least liked to have been informed of the long waiting time. If so I would have chosen a different hospital.

The reason for my appointment the time it took was well spent.( if I had know my waiting time was due to test result). I highly recommend. Clean office. The nurses and the doctor were both friendly and professional. Rapid Covid test, results in 20 minutes. Easy process with the appointment information sent via text. Appointment was pushed back from 3:30 to 4:00 but because they text me this prior to me arriving it was no problem. The ladies in the front weren’t the nicest but the nurses and doctor were great!

It should be changed to well care in a few hours! Whats the purpose of an online check in only to sit in a examination room for over an hour! No explanation. February 4, 2021My daughter has had a mild asthma condition her entire life. Her regular PCP moved away during Covid and we have had a difficult time finding a new provider who accepts her insurance and is taking new patients. She is running out of her rescue inhaler as well as her daily medication.We visited the Spring Valley location and saw a prescriber, APRN and explained our situation. I also explained that her insurance sometimes changes up which meds they will cover each year between Dulera and Advair. She agreed to write prescriptions. She wrote for the Dulera. I was promptly notified by the pharmacy that the dulera had been denied and that they would be contacting the prescriber. I heard nothing the next day so followed up with the pharmacy. I asked if the insurance was back to only allowing for generic advair. The pharmacist said yes, but that they had followed up with Medcare twice and had not been contacted.I followed up with Medcare and was promptly told by the gentleman who answered the phone that the prescriber was denying my request to change the prescription. Her reason was that I had specifically asked for that particular med and she would not be changing it. I tried to explain that I had not requested any specific med and had also informed her at the time what her insurance would likely do, but the gentleman on the phone was firm that the prescriber would not budge and repeated her reasoning. He also told me she said to try harder to find a PCP who would work with me. I rebutted and said that I did not understand and that the whole purpose of the visit was for a prescription that was not happening. He repeated her reasoning. I then said that since the purpose of the visit was not met, that I would be notifying the insurance company of this. He informed me that I can do what I want, but that if the claim is denied, they would be billing me.This prescription is for a child. It is not a “controlled” substance. You cannot make meth out if it. It’s for asthma. There is no reason that I can see for this sharp denial to help a patient with a limited income obtain a prescription that is covered by their insurance. I will not be returning.

My husband and son got symptoms the day after my parents who live with us tested positive. Being a Covid NP, I knew it was Covid and we isolated. However due to job situation, my husband had to get tested for documented proof. He was tested at about 5 days into symptoms. It has now been 14 days since symptoms started and he is 3 days fever free. We tried to get retested but the nurse refused to test him. Stated it had to be 10 days from his test here. She said he was still contagious and is spreading it everywhere. This is not in guidelines with the CDC and my husband needs a retest to start his job. We are furious and this set us back. Will get retested somewhere else that doesn’t refuse patients and actually follows CDC guidelines.

My daughter went for COVID test. No one in the waiting room had a mask on. She had an appointment and had to wait over an hour. She called for results and they wouldnt even answer the phone. She left messages and no one ever called her back. When she made the appointment she was told results would be in in 2 days, at the office they said 3-5 days. It has been 7 days now and still no call or returned call.

My visit was up to my expectations. However, the follow up from my original appointment was disappointing. I called on Wednesday, left a voicemail for a call back. I never received one, called twice on Thursday, then I called on Friday, got transferred to voicemail again. Finally I decided to call from a different phone number, and some one answered right away. I finally got the information I needed to access my patient portal. I dont understand why they were screening my calls, when I was simply asking a question, in the most respectful way, and actually needed to speak to someone as directed.

They accept VA healthcare, which is a blessing, and my visits generally cost me nothing. I came in with pink eye and I was treated quickly and professionally. I was only there about 30 min total from sign in to exit. Dr Roach and her staff are awesome! My prescription eye drops only cost me $10. You can’t beat that for service! Thank you!

I was a patient here a few days ago due several concerning signs preventing me from working. It was a busy evening, but I never felt rushed by staff. All staff members were kind, down-to-earth, and had a good sense of humor - from the front desk, to triage, to the exam room. Dr. Virginia McClain was thorough and understanding, and provided treatment to help me recover as quickly as possible. I was the last one out that evening, but felt like staff was still fresh and energetic, patient and understanding. I appreciate having urgent care available and highly recommend this facility.

The man checking people in called my wife sweetie when we were upset they couldnt pull up our insurance information and were trying to charge us when we hit our max out of pocket. My wife is NOT his sweetie.The woman who took blood samples grabbed my autistic daughter by her left arm and ushered her out the triage room while forcing the rest of the family out the main exit when we were leaving. She had no right to grab my daughter like that and separate her from the rest of is like that.This is the level of professionalism to expect. Horrible.

The nurses were friendly but that was the only good part of the experience here. I had an appointment for 10:30 AM. There were about 6 people in the waiting room. Only 2 were called back before me and I still had to wait an hour and half to be seen. I was told to call back on the third day and the results should be available but they could take up to 5 days. I called back on the third day and the results were not in, which was understandable. I called the 4th day to follow up and left a message. I never got a call back. I called back each day and left a message but never got anyone to pick up or return a call. The 7th day, I called multiple times and no one answered. My mother called once and someone picked up. They gave her MY results without permission or even asking her name. I will never visit this location again. It’s completely inappropriate and unprofessional to not have the courtesy to return a call at least and violate patient confidentiality.

I went a week and a day ago for the covid test. I arrived around 1pm, there were maybe 3 people ahead of me. They were calling people to the back that walking in after me around 2 o’clock stating “they had appointments” although their appointments were from 2:15-2:30. I waited over an hr to be seen for the test. After getting tested, I was told the results would take 2-3 business days & I would get a call back or I can call the office. It’s now a week later, haven’t gotten any calls, I’ve been calling their office & no one has been answering, & there’s nothing on the website to view the results. No communication upon the employees at the clinic & they almost prescribed me medicine when it was for another patient!!! The WORST urgent care in Columbia..

My granddaughter fell at Sandhills today and we got her there within 15 minutes. I checked her in and didnt even sit down before they called her back. The staff and the Doctor were fabulous. I tried going to this MEDcare, but no one showed up. I got there at 7:50AM so that I could be the first one there when they opened and by 8:15 there was still no one there. I called the Gardners Ferry location and was told sometimes they dont open right at 8. But their hours are 8-8 so why wouldnt they be open?? I was livid!! I went down the street to Doctors Care and had a GREAT experience. I will never ever go to a MEDcare again and will recommend that others stay away as well!

The doctor I saw only spent about 1 minute in the room with me & told me I didn’t need anything... for a dog bite to my face. I wasn’t asked if I was in any pain & he only spent about 30 seconds looking at the bite. My temperature was not taken which I found a little strange. The wound wasn’t even cleaned. The only positive things were the receptionist (Sarah, she is amazing) & the medical assistant.

What a great place. My husband and I had to wait outside a while back because none of the staff had a key to open the clinic. We were a little upset but then Doctor Lobitz got out of his car to wait with us. Im an old retired nurse and I never had a doctor talk to me like a real person. they are usually so stuck up and snooty, but he was very nice and funny and made the time go fast until they opened up. When we did get in he treated my husband very fast. We would go back any time should the need arise.

Dr. Wilson and the other staff members were quite professional and made my visit a bit easier considering I had used WebMd for a self diagnosis (smile). Dr. Wilson took the time to explain the possible occurrences and was quite thorough in my examination considering that I was there until 9:45pm. I will say that upon my arrival, I was quite emotional from what I was physically experiencing and being in a new location. Heather’s “bedside manner” truly helped to relax me and to ease me back into my comfort zone. Even when she was poking and pricking me for blood, her personality made the experience a bit easier. I most definitely cannot forget about James. James’ musical selection helped to set a peaceful tone in the x-ray room. Also, I truly appreciate him walking me to my vehicle due to the lateness of the night. I had a wonderful experience and I will recommend this site to others.

Took my austic son for a check up on his ears. Waited for two hours to see the doctor. Spent less than five minutes with her. Doctor acted like she was afraid of touching him. Went on a Friday at 1:30, didnt wait too long in fact I was seen quickly. Front desk was pleasant, as was James who took me in initially. I had just moved to the area from out of state and was in a tremendous amount of pain. Was given antibiotics and was on my way. About an hour after I left it dawned on me I didnt mention I needed my inhalers refilled. I called back and was told I would need to be seen again to the tune of $100 out of pocket! Even though I put that info on my medical history and informed the doctor that I took that medication daily. Shame on me for not asking at that moment, but come on. Not like I was trying to obtain a controlled substance, I just wanted to breathe. Pretty disappointed about that. Definitely wont go back or recommend them to anyone.

I usually come here and have no issues.. today I am completely unsatisfied since I am coming for a follow up within a week for the same existing issue and they refused to see me without paying the basic $125 which I find ridiculous since the medications provided within the same week did not treat the current underlying issue which means I was misdiagnosed on the initial basis.. staff are nice female doc there is obnoxious and careless.

I brought my daughter to your clinic yesterday and the whole experience was very pleasant. The staff from the two young ladies at the front desk to the doctor in the back all made my family feel welcome. They seemed to be very busy at the time but everyone moved with grace and purpose. The young lady named Heather who triaged my daughter was extremely patient and caring. We are happy we visited your clinic and keep up the great job.

Grand daughter had a road rash with a deep cut.....Dr didnt even irrigate wound. Nurse was surprised nothing done. It seemed like Dr only wanted to go home. Taking grand daughter to emergency room for real care. HORRIBLE CARE!!!!!!!!! Wish 0 stars was an option.
