Ive read the reviews and Im not sure which office they go to but its not been my experience when I go there. Dr. Mareska asks that his patients come 15 minutes early so that everything is prepared at the time of the appointment. I see him on time, which he is the ONLY doctor I have that I can say that about. Hes caring, thorough and has helped considerably over the years. One previous review said that they dont take credit cards, well theyve taken mine since 2011 when I began seeing them. The nurses and staff have been professional and very nice each time I go.

Everyone from the front desk to the EEG technician has been extremely nice. Brandy, the EEG technician went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and to ensure I had the follow up appointment sooner than originally scheduled, so I wouldn’t have to wait for the results.

Horrible!! I do not ever want to go back but I waited so long for an appointment in the first place! The staff is uncaring and never asked me why I was bawling my eyes out in their waiting room or even tried to console me.Dr Mark Lencke came in the room and asked for my one complaint and said he didn’t care about anything else but one complaint. He made me feel like I wasn’t lower than worthless and that I was crazy and my symptoms were made up. When my test results come in I have to call them to get my results..... WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE??? I pay them for services!!

After only 2 appointments, I believe I have encountered the most unprofessional medical office and I have requested my medical records as I am transferring to another neurology clinic for my medical care. I realize as a healthcare professional that this profession can be stressful and very busy. It is important to know and understand that patients require support. Especially from a neurology clinic where you are providing care to patients who may have not only physical but cognitive limitations. Appointments take too long (Months) between visits to have any beneficial medical outcomes, and in the meanwhile the patient continues to struggle with unresolved medical problems. I realize that there is a medical staffing shortage everywhere, however, courtesy could always be a plus in any working environment instead of treating the patients like they are a inconvenience. Lastly, communication with the patient is very poor from appointment scheduling, to test results. I would recommend being seen elsewhere.

The absolute worst!!! Rude , unprofessional, staff. When you call this office most of the time an answering service will answer and ask you to call back all the lines are busy...not just once or twice when I call but every time I call. rarely is any one available to help you . I am glad that My Dr. has left this practice however getting the medical records transferred is going to be a nightmare., it seems I need to call back no one is available to help me. I would give them no stars if it were an option.

I agree with the previous patients. The office staff are very rude. They are very unprofessional. Phone etiquette needs to be taught ASAP!! The waiting area smells horrible and when you suffer from severe migraines and sensitive to light and smells this is not good. Everything is very dated and dirty.

Detest this office - very rude staff - short - unprofessional - not at all helpful. Trying to get a medication that must be refrigerated delivered to their office and the CVS Specialty Pharmacy has called me multiple times to say they cant reach anyone to make arrangements - takes me two days to get them only to have the receptionist call me and the pharmacy a liar! Its taken me 6 months to get this set up and now I cant get it delivered! I will not return to this office and I will file a complaint with Palmetto Heath.p.s. I wouldnt have given one star had it allowed me to post with no stars!!

Jessica at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude. She clearly needs some training regarding customer service if she is to fulfill this role. Also a bit odd waiting area with country music blaring from a boom box in the corner. It is unfortunate that this place is one of the few Medicare pays for but that should not mean one deserves second class treatment.

My moms Appointment was set at 8:45am was there since 8:30am after waiting in waiting room for 45 minutes and was taken to the doctor that WE DID NOT WANT TO SEE which is Dr. Lenke and that we had a referral for the other doctor ...I told the nurse as we walked into Lenke office that we didnt want to see him and I was asking why we were taken to him. The nurse reply well she has an appt with him and I said Nooooooo she doesnt. I whipped out the discharged appt papers from my bookbag and showed her..it stats that we see this doctor instead thats on the referral paper. She says...ohhh she is no longer here. Im like Ummmm you see that on the system right..she says no but your mom was seeing this doctor today like the last time..I said the HELL we are..Nope...he is NOT a good doctor that it why we requested this female doctor...she says Im sorry but she isnt here anymore. Then I asked where she was located and they wont and tell me and nothing but saying shes somewhere in Lexington. The staff is rude for not letting us know when we signed in. This place needs to be shut down.

I felt it was necessary to leave a review of this practice, the staff and the facility. The office is located in the hospital, however the patient rooms and office areas are antiquated. Paper charts are stacked everywhere, exam rooms are musty and dingy. They do not accept credit cards and this is an inconvenience nowadays for most people. They also do not state their accept methods of payment anywhere on their outdated website. The office staff who work at the checkout and patient payment area are rude and abrupt.Worse than the items mentioned above is the overall uncaring and dismissive attitude of the staff and one particular provider, Dr. Carnes. I am a caregiver to one of his patients and personally witnessed him talking down, interrupting and being downright dismissive and insulting to his patient. He needs to reevaluate his bedside manner, tact and communication with patients. He treated us as if we were stupid, ignorant for asking certain questions and wasting his time with trivial paperwork that needed his signature. Dr. Carnes is not a caring doctor and will have little time nor attention to devote to personal patient care. He was also observed immediately after our appointment, openly discussing it with another provider in the hallway.I can see from reviews here, and on other websites, that my experience is not unique. I helped my friend, who was in tears because of their experience, back to the car and we then decided to seek medical care elsewhere.I hope you would reconsider any future treatment with SC Neuro and Dr. JE Carnes.

The women that work the front desk of this office are nasty and rude. If we didnt need to see this neurologist, definitely would have left. Customer service training is needed immediately!!
