I needed glasses quickly. Mine broke Thursday, I needed by Friday due to a wedding on Saturday. Dr. Burks was wonderful. He did a very thorough exam. Randal Cheek and Desirae were wonderful also. I had a pair of frames that were new and they were able to use them. Kudos to the whole team

Some of the best service and professionalism I have seen in 30 years of going to an optometrist. Do not trust anyone else with your eyes besides Dr Burks. The lasDoes up front are some of the kindest and most courteous woman in the business. Please use Cheek’s for anything optical or even to purchase sunglasses, they have better prices that the big box stores. 10/10

Great experience! Family owned and operated. Good people here! My wife and I have used them for years with perfect results every time. You can go to the chain stores but the quality you get at Cheeks is unsurpassed. Hands down the best place to get eye wear.

My mothers glasses were badly damaged after she fell so I took her to Cheeks this morning to see how much replacement glasses would cost.Even though we didnt buy her glasses at Cheeks, a gentleman behind the counter offered to attempt to fix them for her. He spent a considerable amount of his own time doing a fine job fixing her glasses and only charged us $5.I cant remember the last time I received such helpful, friendly service from any business in Columbia. I would recommend Cheeks anytime.

THE REVIEWS DO NOT LIE!!! This place is fantastic!My friend is buying glasses for me online as a birthday present, but I needed to get an exam so that I would know my prescription and pupil distance. I worried that I would have a difficult time getting the necessary information from somewhere that I wasnt purchasing glasses from, but Cheekss reviews were great, so I figured Id try them, first. Best decision ever.I called this morning at 9:30 to see how much an eye exam costs without insurance. Pleased with the $69 charge, I asked about an appointment for tomorrow. Sadly, they had none, but they did have one for 10 today. I did not think I could do that time frame, but the receptionist told me they accept walk-ins fr nine to one. Perfect.I called back moments later to make the appointment for ten, just in case I was able to make it in time. I was very pleased with the lack of irritation at my back-to-back calls.Everything with the experience was wonderful. Despite my informing them that I would be purchasing my glasses elsewhere, their excellent customer service never faltered. They answered all of my questions and assisted me with all of my needs without prejudice.I recommend Cheeks Optical for all of your eyes needs!!

It is with a sad heart that I have to write this post. I have been a customer for more than 20 years! Today, was my last day that they will receive my business. I took my three children in for their first eye examination and possible eyewear. I was excessively disappointed with the customer service at the reception desk. They seemed poorly trained and not compassionate. They did not know how to run insurance but rather than seek help from the owner (allegedly hiding in back) they became very confrontational in demeanor. Creek’s Optical, in Columbia TN, just lost my business. Unfortunately, they suggested they didn’t care. New customers: SPRING HILL EYECARE same day!

UPDATE!!!I see that owner responded to my post. However, he did not address the issue, poor workmanship. I understand the the loss of a lens is not covered but it was lost in a very short period of time due to the screw not properly installed during assembly.Original postNo guarantee on workmanship. After 1.5 years my frame cracked. They had a 2 year warranty so they were replaced. Had the replacements 2 weeks when I went to put them on and one lens was missing because the screw had fallen out. I need glasses mostly for reading so I dont wear them often.They wanted to charge me for a new lens because loss is not covered. The loss was due to the screw they installed had fallen out In 2 weeks. He said he could give me a screw, but I felt as though they already did that. (Im screwed)I could understand if some time had gone by like a year or even a few months, but two weeks is unacceptable.I took my glasses and left. I have been going there for three years. I (used to) get my prescription, a set of personal glasses, and a set of prescription safety glasses every year.

Weve been ordering glasses from Cheeks for 10 years. The last 5 to 6 years have been the worst. We continued to come here because the price was cheaper, but the service is absolutely horrible. The owner is burned out in his sons words. Basically hes rude from sun up to sun down. They hire 18 year old girls to work the counter, normally covered in hickies and could care less about truly helping the customer.They were one of the few places that would allow you to buy sunglasses, but lie to the insurance company so its covered by the prescription plan.We will pay more at another optical store for better service. If you like a shady business with horrible service, come to this store. If you want a place with customer service, then pay a tad more and go anywhere else but here.

This is my first experience with this store, and I will never come here again. It took more than three weeks for my glasses to get done. I finally called to check on them because no one had called, and conveniently got a call back to tell me they were ready. However when I went to pick them up, they were not ready, and I was told to come back in an hour. When I came back I was informed that the lenses were damaged at the coating place. Why they didnt know that when I originally came I dont know. So they said they were going to have to order new lenses. I waited another 3 weeks and finally called again to see when I might could expect them. They had no clue what I was talking about. They finally said they were still at the coating place again and would call me right back to tell me when to expect them. They never called. Three days later I just went in to the store. They were still not in but should be there in a few days. The next day, again conveniently, they called to say they were in. When I arrived they told me it would be 30 minutes to get them finished up. I have now been sitting here over an hour and the guy is saying its the machines fault when he is bringing out other completed pairs. This is beyond ridiculous! I will not return once or if I ever get my glasses!

These guys know there stuff, went in and was out in no time flat. I for sure will be going back! and with the on site lab, they got it going on, friendly staff and positive vibes.. they also worked hard with insurance too get me the best deal possible.. thanks guys :)

I’ve been a loyal patient at cheeks since I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 11. I called yesterday to make an appointment and the girl specifically asked me if she still had BlueCare insurance. Today we get there, after driving 45 mins, for her to tell me they no longer take her insurance and I will be responsible for payment. Something that could have easily been mentioned to save a lot of frustration. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

I am a long time customer of Cheeks Optical because of the excellent service I have always received. For my last appointment, I had to schedule time during my lunch hour. I arrived for my 11:30 appointment; at 11:45 a walk-in was taken in front of me, at 12:00 I had to leave, asked to be rescheduled. Still waiting on the call.

I got my new Prada cat eyes with Shamir Autograph III lenses there! I get lots of complements on them. I work for eye doctors as an ophthalmic technician in Nashville. One of the doctors I work with recommended Cheeks Optical, and it was worth the drive!

I had an awesome experience today with Cheeks Optical! Called yesterday and was told they had no available appointments, but to arrive early and they might fit me in as a walk in. Arrived when they opened and was the 2nd person to be seen. The staff was friendly and kind, Dr. Burks was nice and patient (my eyes water and I know its always a nuisance for opticians lol). They were extremely knowledgable about my insurance, walked me through everything and the prices were fair. Because I have insurance they have to send out for my glasses and explained it may take longer because of the holidays. It was just an awesome experience all around. My only complaint was the layout was a bit cramped, but it doesnt hinder the service at all. I would definitely recommend Cheeks Optical!
