This school is the best hands down! Mrs. April was my teacher and is amazing! I would psych myself out when I took the exams until she figured out I’m a more visual learner. She helped be become a better test taker and I was so confident when I took my exams and I’m not like that I usually freak out and get so nervous. They prepare you so much for state boards and the things you’ll cover you’ll only get at Kenneth! I can’t say enough positive things about this school and Mrs. April. Right after I took the exams I got a job at the Benefit Brow Bar making more hourly plus commission than I have ever made! If you want to get a job in the industry or start your own business I would say this is the only school that will get you there!

My time at Kenneth Shuler was in a word professional. I liked that you need a appointment but hopefully that changes when Covid restriction our lack. The stylist PreciousIt was polite, washing and drying didnt take as long. Over all I consider the experience a good one 👍

She gave me an incredible facial after asking me questions to help personalize my facial just for me and my problematic areas. Desiree guided her every step of the way and was very informative throughout the process. They exceeded my expectations and my skin already looks AMAZING! Big difference!!

Sheila gave me a wonderful facial! She massaged my face and was very focused on what she was doing, she even explained everything to me as we went along. When I walked up in there my face was dull and when I left Sheila had my face smooth and glowing! I would so go back! 10/10 recommend!!!

Taylor Woodrow did my makeup for my junior prom and it turned out AMAZING! She made sure I was happy and got exactly what I wanted! She communicated with me the entire time. Great experience! Will definitely be returning to her!

It was fair, today. Even though my appointment was made since Tuesday, I was told my stylist didnt come in and I may have to reschedule, if they werent able to find someone to dont request, which was a two-strand twist. They located a stylist for me, but she was more engaging with everyone that came in our circle. She was courteous, however, to ask me if there was any particular shampoo I preferred, and I said yes, peppermint, to help with my itchy scalp, which works perfect for me. Concerning the brands, she started off very well, and focused a little more, but, really enjoyed engaging with everyone around us. Coming toward the front of my hair, which I asked her if she knew how to zig-zags, she said, yes, so I told her that would be fine. However, she kept having difficulty with how to line up the zig-zags, so, a supervisor guided her, but she still called her over a couple of times, which was ok, but, just rather if she wasnt sure about doing the zigs, to have said, Ill try. After completing, two areas on top was not done right, and very loose at the root, already, so, I asked her if she would redo those, and she said ok. This, time, it was much better, and I gave her a tip.

I didnt have to wait long, the lady was very gentle with me today as well 👍👍👍

Just got my first facial done by Jessica Moody, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. She not only made my skin look radiant, she made me feel so at ease. I have always wanted a facial, but was so nervous in getting one. She made me feel calm, and even gave me the knowledge I needed to take better care of my skin. I will definitely be returning 😉!

I was extremely nervous going into my first chemical peel. Luckily Trista knew all the right things to say to ease my mind. Not only did she do an outstanding job, my skin feels so good I cant wait for my next chemical peel. I love that Trista also took her time to explain step by step after care too. So very worth the trip and excited to start my new skin care routine thanks to Trista.

Came to the school on Friday 2/21 for a cut and straighten. My stylist Izzy was amazing. She suggested I get a deep condition which was just what the doctor ordered. Both her and Angel S. made my time there veryenjoyable. I had them Rollin with my stories and we all quickly bonded. I will most definitely be back soon. They have to dye my hair burgandy. Got a Brazilian done here by student Jenna Vaughn. She was very professional and made me feel secure as it was my first Brazilian ever. It hurt but it was very much so worth it, she didn’t miss a hair! Was always checking up and making sure I wasn’t in excessive pain. She knew what she was doing for sure!

I had my first facial June 12 and I enjoyed it, Dana Stevens did an amazing job. I came back on July 10 to have another facial from Dana Stevens, and decided to get my eyebrows waxed. I had a great experience, and already scheduled my next appointment. Dana Stevens was great, and the prices are really good.

I got a Brazilian Wax and my under arms waxed by Anayja H, service was Great!! I will be going back for more services.

Had a facial with Andrea Walters! Service was phenomenal. She analyzed my skin and knew exactly what to use for the best results. She also gave stellar product recommendations. Skincare is not my strong suit and Andrea made it simple and easy to understand.

Keirston was definitely an enjoyment. First time getting a facial and my eyebrows done, and not once was I nervous. She made sure I was comfortable and held a conversation with me. She made sure I knew when something warm or cold was coming in contact with my face. She also explained everything she used on my face and how it would help it. I’m natural and absolutely hate washing or or straightening my hair. I visited Kenneth Shuler Garners Ferry, and Brianna saved the day! She washed conditioned and trimmed my hair. My finished product was amazing! Brianna was super sweet, funny, and knowledgeable on natural hair.

I received a back facial from Shandra M. and it was AWESOME!!!! I was already excited and had been thinking about the service for weeks and was double excited to receive the service. She was knowledgeable, easygoing and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I would have liked to have given all 5 stars, however, the power went out at the beginning of my Back facial meaning no music and no steam during the service. There weren’t any hot stones available for my service as requested as well, but Shandra did a great job of compensating for the lost of the heat as we continued the service. She improvised and used hot towels which was fine. As stated, she did a great job and will make a great esthetician. And as a side note, the young lady at the front desk allowed me to receive a complimentary chin waxing service since the power in the facial rooms went out. I will be coming back. Thank you Shandra!

Went and got a facial from Kara and for my first experience getting one it was great she made me feel very comfortable informed me of everything she was doing and why it helped. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had while still doing my facial. Kara was great

Came in with no appointment. Never been there and was instantly greeted. Im pregnant and havent had time to do my hair let alone know what to do with my mess. But was given to a fantastic student named Brianna who not only talked me through what she was doing and why. But she also styled my hair in a way I would never have thought would look good on me.... And it came out so magically shiny healthy and beautiful. Totally recommending her, And i will definitely be coming back!

I have been lightening my hair for about a year and went in to fix a few issues that have snowballed. I had some dark patches in the back of my hair and 1 inch roots.I didnt wait too long before a very eager student approached and we got started. Alecia was amazing! I showed her some photos and we talked out a plan. She matched me with the right swatch and the instructor double checked to make sure we were good to go. She was very careful and attentive to detail. She made sure I didnt over process. Then she put a toner on my hair. She was very friendly and all around a great stylist. After having the toner rinsed, my hair naturally retained a lot of purple tones, so I had an additional wash which ultimately turned my hair a slight pink (I didnt mind because my hair retains color very well, its hard to work with, I loved the pastel anyways) after one wash, it rinsed out and my hair was exactly what I wanted it to be! Ive received so many compliments!The whole process took about 5 hrs and Alecia maintained such a great attitude the whole time. She did amazing for a student that is still quite new.Just remember they are still students so expect to be in the chair longer than usual. Also, make sure to tip generously- I mean you are getting a style at a discount, spend a little more to make a students day.I will definitely be making an appointment here in the future.

Tatiana listened to my list of concerns, then made Redken product recommendations and helped me through the process of achieving a hair cut style that worked with my hair, not against it.This was my first time visiting the Kenneth Shuler School and it was very professionally run, clean, and with instructors overseeing the students work.Good luck Tatiana, you are already awesome stylist.

I can in for a color retouch I was not waiting long even though the lobby was full my stylist Laura was full on energy and sweet ! She was very knowledgeable and explained to me everything she was putting in my hair I have been coming there on and off and she is the only student to ever do this! She is also GREAT with natural hair I was very pleased! I made my follow up appointment before leaving!

This overall experience with Genesis was eye opening. I knew I slacked off with my skin care, but after the million extractions and leftover blackheads I see I was way off. Genesis explained where I lacked and help me understand what was needed to keep my skin healthy. Since I now have help I must keep it up and I’ll be seeing more of this establishment.
