I had my hair crocheted this weekend. The braid work done by Erica was great. She is very precise with her braiding and she has a very gentle hand. I would recommend her 100%. My only complaint is that my appointment was at 12:45 but we did not get started until after 2pm. In the future, I would have to schedule to be the first client of the day.

They did my daughter hair on a Sunday. It was fast and looked good. I will come back to get my hair done. I recommend this place to others

WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I simply wanted nice box braids to wear for school and this place missed the mark. My hair was uneven, and messed up. The size and the ends of my braids were not correct. On top of that I was charged $200. I am annoyed and upset as I spent time and money coming here and never again will I come. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It has a family atmosphere.. theyre very gentle with you,,, even when you dont sit still,, because I dont ever sit still long!! Very patient with the client! Clean, pleasant atmosphere.. The only way I can describe this salon is professionalism and customer service. Of course the end product of your hairstyle is always amazing. I say this because the first time I called in for a “squeeze in”, as a new client, I wasn’t expecting to be accommodated. It was after 6, on a weekday and no one there knew me. I was just a phone call. I asked for crotchet braids, and even offered to pay extra if I could be accommodated.Well I was accommodated but NEVER paid extra. I was told “you sounded really desperate so I know you had to have this hair”. And I was! So of course I went back to get another style done, and took my 2-year old daughter. Needless to say, I am not using another person’s service. Although I work with Faith mostly, I have had a pleasant experience with all the braiders. There is nothing like that feeling of having someone that cares about you and your hair. That’s Braids by Faith!

I love my hair. The owner was not available to do my hair. However she had another one of her staff to do my hair. She did a weave for me and I love i love my hair. Two stars might be too much, they say they braids all types of hair but dont know how to care properly for 4b/4c hair. I walked out with red marks all over my scalp and did not do my braids how I wanted them. Ive never had this happen at any other hair salon, dont have to worry about me coming back here ever again

I got mini braids (almost micros, no extensions) done by faith not too long ago. Faith is one of the most honest and diligent PEOPLE Ive met in a while, let alone hairstylist. There was some misunderstanding of expectations, and I appreciate that Faith was straight up with me before we even got started. She agreed to do the style based on a picture I sent her of when I had gotten the style before. Admittedly, my hair looks much thinner and shorter in the picture than what it really is (Med-High density, super fine strands). When Faith realized this she informed me that had she known my hair was that long she would have charged her regular box braid price versus the much lower rate she gave me BUT that she would still honor the original quote. And despite the style taking much longer than she expected, she never once cut corners on my hair. Shes really one of the best braiders Ive been to, and shes very fast and gets the parts nice and neat. I cant recommend her enough!

I just moved here and did not have any contacts to get my hair braided. I went online to look up African braiding in my area, and when that didnt suffice what I was looking for I then searched for best African braiding near Columbia, MD. The internet gave me braids by faith, which was 1 of the top choices. I called, she answered right away and she answered all of my questions. Once I got to her for the appointment Faith gave me to Fiji. Fiji was very polite and professional. At this time Emily, Roshanda, and Fiji all worked together with Faith braiding various women throughout the day. The location is inside a Vietnamese/Korean barbershop yet they are very well put together. Yes, I recommend them and they speak French all day long, yet English is very clear and understood. It was a nice change for me and the hair turned out beautifully. Thank you!

I love my hair style. I bought the hair and did not know quit the style I wanted. Madam Koffi was very creative and come up with a beautiful style. People keep asking me where I got my hair done? Love it!!!! Will definitely be back again and again... she does a great job!

Always have a great experience when I go to get my hair done. This shop is a class act always! My hair always looks great and so does everyone else’s that’s in there for that matter. Always great communication, always great work! I can’t say enough about Blue, she is amazingly fast with microbraids and they always look good! I’ve recommended this place to co-workers because even after two months of having micro braids they still look so good that people ask “who did your braids?” Not to mention the hair growth I’ve seen since going there getting my hair braiding. The entire staff is great and they service diverse hair as well. I will say too, Faith creates an environment that is welcoming for all types of people, that’s supportive of people’s dreams and that is kind. These are very important qualities. I always try to write a review after every visit, today is no different. Great experience as usual. What I asked for was not what I got. They were willing to take it out but it was 90% done and I value my time and the braiders. They did give me a discount however I won’t be back. They are good for simple cornrows just nothing fancy.

If you book an appointment, dont worry about showing up on time for it as she wont. Appointment I had was for 12 pm, granted I was early but its now going on 1 pm. The only company Ive had is the the lone cockroach and the barbers next door. If google allowed less then one star Id give that.

Faith did 5 cornrows for me and she did great. They were smooth and the extensions looked great. Also it only took about an 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I will definitely be coming back

Great place to get your hair braided or twisted, but when they stretch you hair with a blow dryer they do not use a heat protectant and that can damage the hair so just something they need to fix👌🏼

Was the worst braiding I’ve ever had . I asked for feed in braids and showed a picture did not get what I asked for . They looked ok .Braids started lifting from the back and won’t stay straight, Bended has in for 4 days .I paid $60 and $10 for the hair my hair didntnlast .Went to get redone and looked the same I walked out and didn’t even let them finish .I do not recommend .I feel if you can’t do what’s asked say that and take that loss let someone else do it who can

Braids by Faith has the best braids.

Was not impressed. I had to wait over an hour for her to arrive and then my crochet braids were not done correctly, so my hair in the back came undone. I was so frustrated because of the long drive to the salon and the wait time, that I didnt want to return to have her fix the issue. I will not be returning to this salon again.
