Dr. Cashion was able to see me quickly when I was experiencing pain and my regular dental office wasn’t able to work me in. I was so grateful! I had no issues with him. He helped me and was very kind, patient, and I think he deserves 5 Stars As well as everyone else I’ve spoken to and encountered!!This review is solely based on his front office staff, Gina in particular was rude, condescending, callous, and impatient with me when I called to talk about our options in continuing necessary treatment for my husband after using our dental benefits for the year with Dr Cashion. I was told he could not be seen unless we paid in full a large sum for treatment she explained needed to be done because it could lead to a number of scary health conditions, naturally I panicked! When I inquired about the treatment and why the cost was so high and if I could split the payment in 2 and leave a pro rated check, she laughed at me and began to tell me how their pricing was fair compared to others. I was also told no because I unknowingly had an overdue balance myself and she went as far as to ask “How would you like for me to help with your financial situation?” Also offered to have me pay $100 dollars a month to build credit in order to be seen. She did mention care credit towards the end of the call, at this point I was already emotional, worried and extremely upset that my husband and I chose a dental office that isn’t equipped to handle customer concerns in a more professional way.I come from a small town where I’ve never been told “I don’t appreciate the way you talked to me” by a staff member, and treated so poorly by an office manager who was rude to me before she received the same treatment from me. I come from a place where people are more understanding, empathetic and put the patient/customer first. I guess I’m not equipped or used to handling mistreatment as a patient.I called back after hanging up to set up a time to speak with the doctor directly or someone else about my questions and concerns so that I could understand better without being degraded in the process and was told I wasn’t going to be able to do that. My only option was to speak directly to Gina. Who ended up hanging up on me because “nothing she said was going to make me happy.”I was overwhelmed and extremely upset and I understand I as a person who just exhausted our benefits as well as spent a couple thousand dollars out of pocket while still needing further treatment could have handled the situation a lot better, of course! but as an office manager, she should have never said the things she said to me, especially in the manner and tone she used nor blamed me, the patient for upsetting her with my questions she couldn’t bother to answer in a respectful way.I’m not sure what else to do but leave a review in the hopes that nobody else has to be treated the way I was by the office manager.
