The facility is clean however I wouldnt consider it a rehab as it is more of a long term, nursing home and the communication is horrible. Good luck getting a call back from PT and they did nothing to help my mother.

Palm Garden of Clearwater is an absolutely amazing facility! I cannot say enough wonderful things about their rehab program. I brought my 77 year old father here at the end of April after a fall that left him unable to get out of bed. He was seriously injured and we were afraid he would never walk again. The physical and occupational therapists worked a miracle with daily treatments and he is now able to walk on his own!! The entire nursing, CNA, kitchen, and administrative staff went out of their way to make my father feel comfortable and loved. When my father grew restless, the Assistant Director, Paul, would take time out of his busy schedule and play a game of chess with him. We were actually very sad to leave, but were so grateful that he had reached an unimaginable goal of walking again. I cant thank Nick, Director of Guest Services, to Bailey at the front desk, Joanne in business services, Karen and Wanda in social services, the entire PT and OT team: Keith, Dave, Isa, the amazing medical team Lauren, Iva, Dawn, Cody, Tyler, and so many more for the compassion, dedication and professionalism they show every day. If someone you love needs rehab, this is the place you want them to be!

My sister had a terrible experience here. She was left laying in her feces for hours while the CNAs ignored her call button. My family and I reported this to Sandie the director and she couldnt of been more hateful and disrespectful. Do not leave your loved ones here.

I highly recommend Palm Gardens of Clearwater for your rehabilitation needs. After a long illness I had been to two other rehab facilities before arriving here that did not come close to the quality of care I’ve received here from the moment I arrived. It is the cleanest, prettiest facility I have been in.Every member of the staff is concerned with your wellbeing. The nursing staff is caring and compassionate. The CNAs help to keep your spirits up whether you’re lonely, or just sick and tired of being sick and tired. All of them are always patient and ready to answer any of your question while taking great care of your health needs. . The therapists are incredible. Their knowledge and dedication to you reaching your best possible outcome is inspirational. They brighten any room they enter. They make your therapy sessions entertaining and fun. Sometimes the time passes so quickly but the hard work is evident by the gains made. The administration is as helpful as every other member of this amazing group. Should you use your call light for assistance, you never know who will pop their head in to offer their help. The social work team is ready to answer your questions and help prepare for your future. The building is well taken care of as well. It is spotless. I also need to mention the kitchen staff as well as John the manager. He took the time to learn about my severe food allergies and worked with the nutritionist so I was able to enjoy meals without frustration or disappointment. Kudos to the kitchen staff who prep and plate delicious meals for so many.Every member of this staff is a cheerleader. When working with therapists there are at least 2-3 comments from random staff members on how well your doing, how nice you look, or praise for the progress being made.If you’re looking for a facility that is well run and pleasant to recuperate in Palm Gardens of Clearwater is the place for you!

This is the most amazing place. My Mom was here for over a month after hip surgery and a stroke. It is so clean and the food is great. I ate lunch with her everyday and you have several choices, my compliments to the chefs. But by far the best thing I can say about Palm Garden is about the staff. The nurses and aides were beyond fantastic. Truely caring people, professional and quality care. If I was to ever need rehab I would not hesitate to come here. Thank you for everything!

The staff at Palm Garden are lovely. They care about me, they work hard. The house keeping ladies kept my room clean, the nurse aides and therapy helped me get well to go home. I loved the flowers that they gave me during my stay.

The care and rehab my mother received at Palm Garden of Clearwater was excellent. Here is the story behind the story.I traveled to Florida from Massachusetts on January 29th with my 83 year old mother to visit family. Four days into our trip my mom fell and broke her hip. A rod was surgically implanted in the right hip. Initially everything appeared to be healing well. Unfortunately, the rod eventually shifted because the bone collapsed due to her osteoporosis. During the height of the corona virus my mother needed a second surgery. This surgery was to remove the rod that was initially inserted, and do a total hip replacement. On April 9th, the hip replacement surgery went perfectly. When it came time for my mother to move from the hospital to a rehab facility, I chose Palm Garden of Clearwater this time. I cannot speak highly enough about the management, the staff and the care my mother received. The admissions process was seamless. I was very impressed by the strong protocols in place due to the corona virus. It gave me a great sense of relief especially since I could not go inside to visit. I cannot speak highly enough about the communication and follow-up from the director of admissions, the nursing staff, the physical therapist, the wellness staff etc. I was always provided with timely communication. Whenever someone followed up on something for me, I always heard back in a timely manner. The corona virus created so many challenges for everyone. But the corona virus did not deter the many wonderful staff that went above and beyond to take care of my mother and helped her rehab and get back on her feet. Many staff did so many little things to lift her spirits and brighten her days. They also provided continual reassurance that my mother was making progress. They helped build her confidence. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to take that extra minute or two to listen and show they care. Palm Garden Management and the staff demonstrated to me and my mother that they care deeply. When my mother was discharged, she could do something she had not done in a long time. She was able to stand on her feet and walk, walk with a smile, and walk with confidence. My mother, my family and I cannot thank the staff at Palm Garden of Clearwater enough for everything they did to help my mother get through one of the most difficult journeys our family has had to endure. We send our Blessings to the entire staff at Palm Garden of Clearwater. Thank you Amber, Nick and the entire staff.

First of all when I visited the facility I was impressed with the front office staff. Nick answered all my questions and made sure that the room my father would receive met all of his requirements. I cant say enough with how much they went above and beyond to make sure he was placed in the perfect situation to make sure he healed as quickly and fully as possible. The staff made sure all of the appointments and medications required at hospital discharge were available and set up any transportation to ensure my father made all the necessary appointments he needed to. The physical therapy staff was phenomenal. I walked in as the person in charge of my father was interviewing him to get to know him. He was assessing my fathers cognitive as well as physical capabilities. He made sure that he knew my father well enough that not only could he give him appropriate exercises but make sure that my father was engaged in doing them as well. I cant believe the care he has gotten. The staff nutritionist has taken the time to interview him as to what he wants to eat and what he can eat and the Activities Director spent time finding out what it is he wants to be involved in and make sure hes included. They even have computer games they can bring to him. Every day I am more and more thrilled with the fact I have my father in such a wonderful, caring place. The staff is all I could ask for to make sure my father is safe and taken care of. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It is simply the best.

My mother stayed at Palm Garden on and off for over 4 years. The staff was extremely attentive, kind and compassionate. When my father became ill and needed long term care without hesitation they accommodated my request to have them together for the last few weeks of his life. Caring for people in the final years of their life is a very difficult job and requires patience and understanding for both the resident and their family. Palm Garden was there for my parent and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing rehab or long term care, they are the best!

Don’t be fooled by a clean smell and nice photos online. If you can’t be a watch dog family member DONT leave your parent here! They will lay in bed 23 hours and develop other problems. Discharged my mom to Manor Care Palm Harbor where the facility may not be as updated, but let me just say....she NOW receives excellent rehabilitation care and the communication with Manor Care staff has been outstanding. Night and day experience! Palm Gardens will never see my mom again and after this past week this review was mandatory to write. Thanks for putting our family through hell week.

My mother was just discharged from Palm Garden after spending almost ten weeks there, following surgery. My Mom, and our family were extremely happy with the care that she received there. The staff from the top on down was caring and compassionate. The medical care and rehabilitation were top- notch. Even the food was better than we expected. This was a very stressful time for all of us and we didnt have a lot of time to make a decision or very many choices for that matter, but we got very lucky, because I dont see how we could have made a selection that was better for us than Palm Garden.I would without hesitation recommend this place to a friend or love one. Nobody wants to put a loved one into a facility, but if you are in such a situation, you should be confident knowing that your loved one will receive the best care possible.

I loved the nurses aides, they truly work hard and are sweet to the patients. I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of care my grandmother received beyond that. She was transferred there after a hospital stay because they said they could care for her. They let her refuse therapy and in one day transferred her to another facility after my Grandfather left from visiting her. They didnt even give him the courtesy of a phone call letting him know she was being moved. Every thing was done underhanded and extremely unprofessionally.

Run!!!!! Do not put your loved one in here. Run away now. Had the most horrible experience with my dad in here. Called 911 to get him to the hospital if we left him in there he would probably be dead now. You can contact me. Ill be surprised if they leave this up here. Thank God the roommate for my dad was able to talk. This place should be shut down. My hand to God Im telling the truth.

My grandfathers experience was great herr from the the moment I toured the facility. Nick was amazing he answered all of my questions and made sure my dad had roomate that he got along with and even got my dad a welcome gift! Jana in the business office had all the answers to the crazy world of insurance and did everything to help me and my father. She even did my dads Medicaid app when the time came. The nursing staff was very good for the most part. The charge nurse Stacy was always there to answer my questions and made sure my dad was taken care of. The CNAs were hit or miss but my dad was lucky to have an amazing woman named Pearline! She was always there as soon as he pushed that light. A great place for both rehab and long term care.

Worked there briefly. The staff was all cyoa. Not interactive for new staff. My orientation consisted of following one nurse around on a med pass, not one word of help or teachings. The second day, following another nurse around, again, not helpful or teachings of facilities computer services, but!!, I was asked to get blood pressure readings of almost everyone, on a thirty person assignment!yay! The unit managers would point fingers or throw a ton of lab results in your lap at 2:30 pm, while you were scrambling to finish your shift on time. Help with those labs? No, beneath their lofty noses.Do an actual med pass as if you were racing the clock? No, admin maybe six residents their meds, and wait for you to finish a med pass on a different hall, then report to the hall unit mgr was on.A fifty four person med pass, and responsibilities, PLUS half of another assignment because nursing hours were to much, one nurse had to leave early. Wound up with sixty four patients. Go figure, somethings bound to slip through the cracks. The DON is a shark swimming in shallow waters. Thats all I have to say about that,But you get the point. Some of the cnas were good, some of them were good at hiding.
