This is my first experience with Schmitt Dental and I will say that they have a very friendly staff that is welcoming. Rachel was my dental hygienist and I will say she is excellent. I have really sensitive teeth and she did a great job cleaning them. I would recommend Rachel to anyone. She was very professional and conscientious.

Absolutely amazing Staff! Dr Schmitt is very personable! Rachel is the best hygienist around and I feel like my husband and I have finally found our dentist after 4 years of searching! Very easy to talk to, answers all questions in full, willing to give you the cheap and expensive options based on your lifestyle and finances! They only want what’s best to keep your teeth healthy!

Chandler was very nice and caring. Very easy to work with and I will keep her as my hygienist. Everyone in Office very polite.

Service here was amazing they help my wife with a bad tooth and an exposed nerve causing a lot of pain. This was an emergency and even without an appointment they helped us. Service was 5 stars and will be coming here for all our dental work from now on.

Let me start out by saying when I went in 2018, a hygienist treated me horribly and Dr. Schmitt handled the situation immediately and invited me to come back and finish my appointment. After not have insurance for the last couple years I finally have it again and was excited to make an appointment for a cleaning, Steven the hygienist was incredible but the billing department was not. Today is 6/23 I’ve now been into the office twice in the last two weeks (6/15-6/16) and spoken in detail to the scheduler to give her my new insurance and information, not once have they said anything about a previous balance, until today when I received a call about owing money. When I got to asking questions the woman on the phone was rude and short and didn’t believe what I was saying. She returned my call and I again explained to her that I wouldn’t have made appointments when I didn’t have insurance and why in the last two/three years haven’t I heard anything regarding this balance? I told her to cancel the appointments I had coming up and I won’t be back. They are just money hungry. Instead of explaining and working with me it was all about money money money. Which I paid the balance that they told me while I was in office on 6/16. This just doesn’t make any sense. They don’t care at all about losing patients I’m sure because they seem busy but their reputation is going down hill fast. So now I have half of a cleaning done and can’t get a complete on for 6 months when I find a new provider because they billed my insurance for an entire cleaning that they didn’t preform.

Went for a cleaning today I had Rachel. She was wonderful just like the whole staff. Dr Steve is my super hero LOL. Very friendly atmosphere too so no anxiety well not as bad i should say. I got my whole family going there and they are also very happy with their experience too....I highly recommend

My hygienist was awesome!!! I have never been to the dentist and had such thorough care!!! Covid has decreased the quality of service nowadays but Schmitt Dental is spot on!!! Thank you guys so much!! I’m actually looking forward to my future visits…. Expect this root canal tomorrow😂😂😂

I have been coming to this dentist since the start of 2021. I dont feel like a patient when I come here, even though I am a patient. I love how professional they are, but also that they make me feel comfortable, at ease, and very much a part of their family. I have my favorites, but I can tell you that everyone in the office will treat you with kindness and respect. I am also glad to say that I will never go anywhere else for my dental needs, and I do highly recommend Dr Steve to be your Dentist.Edit: I am someone that struggles a great deal with anxiety. To be made to feel like apart of the family, and not just another patient whom can give them money, is beyond the most kindness any business can do. Again, I highly recommend!

This dental office has a great team of staff everyone is kind and professional. Dr. Taw is the best dentist Ive had in a while. I had an issue with a crown and they were able to address the issue as soon as possible. Just a tip make sure your insurance is going to cover a procedure before you get it done and get stuck with the bill.

Where do I start? I wish I would have read the reviews before going. This office quoted me several different prices. Every time I went in it was a different price. My tooth got broken by the staff. I got a eye infection from my eyes not being properly covered during my procedure. Also the dentist kept going from patient to patient. My crown even got broke and had to be remade. This was the worst $1800 spent in my life. The staff is very rude and disrespectful. I will not be returning!

Double billed. Sent to over priced specialist friend . Appointments cancelled because someone confirmed via text. NO ONE in family recieved text. Hubby had crown come off they said needed to be seen right away but they have pushed him back AGAIN for another 2 weeks. Way to care for your patients people.

I love this dentist and his dentist assistants. I’m not sure who I got today but she is genuinely such a sweet person and you can tell she loves and is good at her job. And Schmitt is super cool and loves dogs which is a plus for me!

These guys are the John Wick of fighting plaque. If plaque was an orc they would be like Legolas from Lord Of The Rings, so precise, smooth and cute. I’ve never enjoyed going to the dentist but I seriously enjoy going here. They were all very nice. Rachel was marvelous and hilarious. And I can’t thank them enough for being amazing.

Michelle at the Rudolphtown Rd location is Thee.👏 Best! 👏 If getting a cleaning makes you nervous, she is the one to see. She is so gentle but effective. She’s so in tune with your needs during your visit. I’ve also needed numbing on 3 different occasions and every single time she did it, I barely felt the needle. She is magic! I seriously never want to see anyone else but Michelle!

Ive been going here for years. I had an emergency with a tooth recently. I called and not only did they get me in ASAP they fixed my tooth within a few days. The girls and Dr. Schmitt are just wonderful. I cant say enough good about this dentist office...please try them if you havent yet!

Big shout out to Dr. Steve and RDA Brooke! For the past 3 years Ive been terrified to go get dental work done. This caused me to never smile with my mouth open, and cover my mouth when I laughed. Dr. Steve did a great job of easing all of my concerns, and told me what he was doing every step of the way. The root canal / crown was 100% painless and Im pretty upset with myself that I pushed this off for 3 years. Now, instead of being terrified, Im counting down the days until I go back again for my next procedure. The hardest part about this whole thing, is reminding myself to actually open my mouth when I smile now.

Went in for my first visit today and the girl who took care of me, immediately made me feel comfortable and was super nice! I love this office and staff. I’m a baby when it comes to the dentist, I always have been, I actually have panic attacks and usually would cancel my appt. I can honestly say that this office is so amazing, I dont even mind coming here. Dr Steve is phenomenal, the staff here is amazing. I highly recommend it, they really do treat you like family and are happy for you when your happy with your smile!

I have had dental problems for 50 years or so. I have never had such professional and friendly care as I have had here. I had to have my teeth pulled for a recent surgery and Dr. Schmitt and his wonderful team took extraordinarily great care of me and made a fantastic set of dentures for me. They explained every step of the procedures and made me feel part of the process. They were all very professional yet friendly and treated me like family.So I recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentist. In addition to all of that, they are very affordable compared to the other local dentist offices.Plus they have two convenient locations here in Clarksville. I guarantee you will be satisfied with their service.

The dental hygienist that saw me was very pleasant but did not spend much time cleaning and polishing my teeth. I believe from the time I sat in her chair to the time she was done was around 15 mins and that included a couple xrays. I realize that with regular cleanings they might not have to scrape as much tartar but they could spend more time polishing the teeth. As much as I pay for dental insurance and normally only use it twice a year for cleanings, I expect better.

Ive been terrified of the dentist and hadnt gone in nearly 4 years. I thought I would get lectured for how long its been but Dr. Schmitt and everyone else were so friendly and reassuring. They have now put a crown on my tooth and I return in a couple of weeks to get more work done, and Im actually looking forward to it.

Very helpful, kind and patient. They helped me out with insurance since they werent partnered with them and they were an out of network office. I recently had a bi-annual cleaning and a bridge reconstruction. The entire visit was amazing. The hygienist remembered me from my last visit. She recalled details from my previous visit as if the intervening six months had not happened. Her personal involvement in her patients well-being is unprecedented in my experience. As for the dental procedure, I was apprehensive about damaging the adjacent teeth. I need not have concerned myself. The painless, albeit involved process, has absolutely confirmed my belief that Dr. Schmitts priority is the comfort and confidence of the patient.

Any questions I have had for the staff at Schmitt Dental they are able to answer it with confidence. They are great people with great knowledge.

First off I love going to the dentist and I love my teeth. I went to Dr. Schmitt regularly over 2 years and there was only 1 time I saw a familiar face. Yes they were nice but all I could think was high turnover rate plus they were all young and fresh out of school. I had a spot between my 1 and 2 molar that caught food so he said lets replace the old filling and fix the gap. Someone besides the dentist numbed me, I think they gave me way to much as I lost feeling of my entire side of the face, tounge, and felt like my inner ear bones as I couldnt hear. They filled it with composite. A couple months later while I was flossing the filing came loose but didnt come out. Went to a new dentist to get it fixed. I was told composite should of never been used on such a large filling as its not as strong, granted it cracked. During the repair they said so much of my tooth had been damaged (over just a few months) that I now need a root canal and a crown. Just saying find out whats important to you for a dentist: practice for newbies or quality of the only set of teeth you will ever have.

Made all four of my children feel comfortable and at ease, from 6 years to 17.

I had been going to this location under Dr. Lowell Blevins for over forty years. He retired and Dr. Steven Schmitt took over the practice a few years ago. I continued to be a patient under this new dentist until now. I can truthfully say every visit has been a bad experience. Everything from incorrect coding to just plain poor customer/patient service. I kept going but after my last visit I can no longer tolerate it. Needed a crown replaced. Had a temporary on during the interim. Which fell off twice. The first time I called the afterhours number with no return call back. Had to wait until the office was open the next morning to even talk to someone. The second time it came off, again, I called the afterhours number. The dentist did call back but was not accommodating at all. I was left in pain for 5 days without the temp until it was convenient for them to put in the permanent one. Very poor patient care I do not advise anyone to go to this office ever.

I have recommended Schmitt Dental to all my friends and coworkers and I hope they will go there.

I have wrapped up my last office visit before I move out of state to Texas, but I want to remark on how pleased I am with the care I have received over the last 2-3 years at Schmitt dental. Dr. Schmitt and all of his ladies in the office are friendly and genuine. I have always had the warmest welcome every time I call or arrive. Ive been a busy gal over the years with lots of traveling and Army obligations and they are always accommodating and understanding if real life occurances. I started my Invisalign through them as well and they have always been so concerned and thorough as I advance through the trays. They have handled my move to Texas in the middle of my Invisalign treatment so well and have helped me with everything. Convenient location near base and always interactive and eager to show theyre support to our military. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was referred here in September 2017 by my oral dental specialist to have my temporary and crowns done. Thats all i was looking to get done but when i went in they took some x rays and i was told that i needed a root canal. Let me backtrack for a minute...i had already seen my regular dentist and the oral specialist and had dozens of xrays taken prior to seeing them and was having no problems with said tooth. I ended up having the root canal done the next week and having my temporary made. They also submitted pre authorizations to both of my insurances for the crowns, and i received from both insurances a breakdown of how much each would contribute. Fast forward to now...my oral dental specialist stated that i was ready for the next stage and gave me what i needed to take to Dr. Schmitts office to have my crowns made. When i called them yesterday Katy stated to me that since both if my insurances were the same that only 1 would pay and i would have to pay the difference. First of all, 1 insurance is under my husband and a different state and the other is under me and another state. Second, both insurances paid for the root canal as well as part of the cost of the implants from the oral dental specialist. Third, i called both insurances and was told that was not true. I hate to be scammed out of my money and what kind of business takes advantage of their patients. Wouldt recommend them to anyone!!3/06/2018- Updated Response to your reply- First of all, I did not hang up on anyone. My last conversation was me cancelling everything and ended with “Thanks and have a nice day”. Second, I never said the insurances paid half and half. I stated that they both paid for the root canal..which they did, with the primary paying the bigger percentage and the secondary picking up the rest and no out of pocket expense for me. Third, as I stated in my review, both insurances stated to me that they would both pay and...i have the pre authorization that was submitted and it shows how much both said they would cover. Also, i was told that the fact that they have the same name does not matter, they are 2 different policies under 2 different companies ....which you knew from the beginning when you gave me a copy of my treatment plan outlining what both insurance companies would pay before it was submitted to them. I have everything you gave me as well as what both insurance companies sent me as proof. Furthermore, after all the distortion and misrepresentation of the facts i would not feel comfortable proceeding with any services you provide.

The staff is very caring and friendly at Schmitt Dental, Ive always been nervous going to the dentist, but they make me feel very comfortable.

I always felt fairly ignored with my comments and complaints of pain. I dreaded going to the dentist for the first time in my life when I was with them.
