The location is easy to find if you are familiar with the area. The size of the clinic makes my disability flare up. It’s too small, the rooms are small, the hallways are small. it’s poorly lit. They treat veterans that have flare ups not so good; calling the security staff to handle them instead of helping them like they should as medical professionals. Hmm.. I was there earlier this year and when I checked out the woman at the front desk asked me multiple times if I were ever on a boat. I thought it was odd because I told her about my work experience in the military and about my deployment but she still proceeded to ask if I were ever on a boat. Either I was being investigated, harassed to see if i would react or she really knows nothing about the military and it’s service members. I said possibly investigated because the Father of my child who isn’t a part of our lives is an investigator and he always asked me repeated questions in the way she did and sometimes in the more aggressive manner. Anyway, I was upset about my visit there because I thought my visit would be a good one because I didn’t have to travel to the main hospital in San Diego. Nope. It was a terrible experience. A pro is that I requested a female doctor and they assigned me just that. My doctor is quick to respond to phone calls and private messages. I’m happy to have her as my provider because of that.

I have had nothing but outstanding service from this VA clinic Lab.I mainly go there for labs, but have also seen optometry in this clinic.I can only really speak about the laboratory and I’ve gotta say the staff is very pleasant! Now, when I have gone to optometry they were also pleasant.

The entrance staff was less than completely unhelpful and totally rude!! Some kid... Hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, but they won’t tell anybody that until you drive all the way out there... Staff just stood around staring at me while I went from person to person asking questions trying to get help from someone... anyone...

Excellent experience during first VA clinic visit. I was apprehensive at first, but the great and attentive staff eased my concerns. Looking for more of the same here in the future.

Every time Ive been to the Chula Vista V.A Ive been greeted with respect and military courtesy. Well knowledgeable and educated staff at the front desk and very knowledgeable medical staff in the clinic. No nonsense people working at V.A.. Like public hospitals and doctors office. Its great to be associated with this part of Veterans Affairs.

Very impressed with the customer service and CARE given at this clinic. Serves most of my needs vs LJVA and i like the more personal touch afforded by size of clinic. My only suggestion is to include pharmacy and radiology services too.Thank you for for your service. 🇺🇸

Make an appointment.... Make an appointment. Thats first. The man at the front desk Mauricio was very helpful. Dr. Miller was also very helpful. Ill just say this, those who have had negative experiences with this place, be honest with yourselves and ask am I always difficult?I was in and out. Easy peasy...

Ive been in the clinic a total of 3 times. For most, the people working there specially in the front desk are fine and Im sure they were interviewed before hiring them and Im sure they are supervise randomly. However, my experience tells me that the front desk personnel is not very happy with their job because I dont see them smiling or act in a welcoming way. Sometimes this kind of attitude is contagious to the rest of the people in the clinic. I feel like Im going into a military base where the guards are overly serious and stern-looking. I recommend that female front desk personnel is hired to supplement some of the pleasantness needed at the front desk. I believe it would be a much better experience for the veterans needing care in the clinic. Kudos to the ladies in the lab. They are the epitome of professionalism and a breath of fresh air in the clinic. Good luck!

I only give one star because the guy who helped me on the phone was nice and polite, otherwise I wouldnt even take the time to give them any stars. I was promised a call back that never came. Im having some potential serious issues and I still havent been able to get through to make an appointment. I cant even wright a review on the facility because they refuse to see me until Im registered for this distract but no one wants to send me to the right place to get registered. Im prior registered in a previous location so this shouldnt be that difficult. Idk whats up with this clinic.

The worst ever front staff!!!! If I can give it a negative star I would. Twice now minimal help from the front staff and they just ignore you. Had to call the doctor and was more helpful in general help. Do not get scheduled here for your pcm!

Worst office and customer service. Im a 100% disabled vet and somehow never qualify for any benefits besides healthcare. Its all because the doctor gets to make the decision.Ive needed a handicap placard due to my bad feet, knees, back, and vertigo and her response was that everyone has those problems.

I have had no issues receiving care at this facility in a timely manner. My PCM is exceptional and rivals any of the Corpsman or BN surgeons I had in the Marine Corps. On one occasion I called and got a same day appointment.I have found my appointments to be efficient and my PCM showed genuine care for my concerns.I started at this clinic in June 2017.

Like the majority of reviewers here if I could give a negative star I would. Service is abysmal at best. The office is NOT patient-centered, they seem to be more worried about how not to work than provide care.It is hard to get into see your PCM. Not sure why but the San Diego VAMC needs to investigate this clinic.

Is there another clinic anyone know about in the area, this place is terrible. I had two bad experiences so far. Getting to talk on the phone is imposible, and showing up was pointless because you need an appointment... How the f do I make an appointment if no one ever answer but the damn call center who then transfers you to a no phone answering office to schedule one or to get enrolled....... Aaahh the good old v.a system

Waited the weeekend to see a Dr. The VA was closed, then I saw the Dr on the 1St and I have been waiting on the Dr to put my prescription in the system, now the 3rd, after finding out that the VA no longer has a contract with CVS, I went to la jolla and they wont fill a hand written prescription, if they cant get the Dr to put it in the system it was all a waist of time. OK, now they have it in the system the VA Chula vista called me and were tracking one med instead of two, once I clarified we agreed in fact were two, Thank you, it took several trips to the pharmacy and 3 1/2, waiting on meds.
