Having experienced a nosebleed in the morning for the last four days, I decided it was time to see an ENT doctor. I’d been taking Flonase for what I’d been told were allergies. It wasn’t helping me, then the nosebleeds started. I stopped the Flonase, but it was too late.I googled ENTs in Chicago. Then I found the Chicago Nasal & Sinus Center, which has an exceptionally well designed website with detailed information on the many conditions treated. When I called, I was given an appointment right away with Amy Brussee, a PA whose medical expertise and bedside manner were amazing. I was treated for two small blood vessels in the nose, which were causing the bleeding, and was given detailed instructions on care for the next week. I highly recommend the Chicago Nasal & Sinus Center.

Dr Pritikin is the best ENT you will find! He has done two procedures on me in 2011 and now in 2021. I have had severe sinus issues for 16 years and he is the only one who has ever listened or understood me when I had a difficult problem to diagnose. He cares about his patients and believed me when I told him my symptoms. You will also never meet a sweeter PA than Amy. She is very knowledgeable about everything ENT and allergies, great front office staff as well, Becky is a sweetheart. Hard speciality to find a competent doctor! He is also on the cutting edge of new minimally invasive procedures that are positive and life changing.

I am in awe of Dr. Pritikin and the staff of Chicago Nasal. I was terrified of having my deviated septum corrected surgically due to all the horror recovery stories I have heard from others who had the procedure done elsewhere. Cindy, Amy, Dr. Pritikin and everyone else at Chicago Nasal were extremely kind and helpful in getting my procedure scheduled quickly (within a few weeks including COVID test!) and putting my mind at ease. I had my septoplasty done yesterday and cannot believe how painless the recovery has been, and its all because Dr. Pritikin is skilled enough to pull it off without inserting splints/packaging. This makes all the difference. If you need your septum fixed but have been putting it off because you fear the recovery, fear no more. This place is amazing.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Pritikin and his PA Amy Brussee. I have struggled with absolutely debilitating sinus issues for my whole life. I have seen dozens of ENTs and allergists and been dismissed time and time again. Dr. Pritikin went through all the records I had sent him and never doubted me once. He believed me and took me seriously. After so many dehumanizing doctor appointments, I am SO grateful to have found Dr. Pritikin. He performed my sinus surgery on May 15 and it was nothing short of life changing. Dr. Pritikin is a gifted doctor and surgeon. He is kind and compassionate. PA Amy is also a gifted medical professional who is kind and compassionate. I am relieved to have found them both! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! If I could give 100 stars, I would!

I have only good things to say about this practice, from staff to the doctor himself. Dr Pritikin is outstanding just as others described..bed manners, knowledge of his field, patience, etc and makes a great team with Amy who is also delightful.Billing issues ..? It could be a mixture of one’s not digging deep enough, mixed with the horrifying American health insurance system, I wouldn’t blame his practice, really. You won’t find a better professional though when it comes to have surgery done, the man is an ace in his field. We all know the anxiety before surgery, the questions that go through our minds, the what if’s etc..put that aside and look no further. There’s a lot of people talking a great game but that’s really where it all boils down to..surgery time..you’ll be in the best hands!

I cant say enough about Dr. Nadia Caballero. I had my deviated septum fixed about a week ago and she went above and beyond. Throughout the entire process of examining me, diagnosing the problem and having the surgery, she talked to me and my wife with a very caring, concerned manner. She has good bedside manner and really cared about getting me better. I had more issues with the painkillers than the surgery itself. I rarely write Google reviews, but I felt I needed to this time. Shes great! Would recommend to any friend.

IGNORE the negative reviews! Im serious. Over the past ten years, I have seen every single provider who works in this office, and I can assure you there are the very BEST in the business. I do not have enough words to express how grateful I am for Chicago Nasal and Sinus Center! Most importantly, Dr. Jordan Pritikin is one of the finest doctors I have ever met. I came to Dr. Pritikin after suffering for probably 15+ years with sinus pressure, pain, headaches, and constant sinus infections. Every ENT I saw would tell me it was allergies, even though my tests show I am not allergic to anything, and they would give me nasal sprays that didnt work. Dr. Pritikin LISTENED to my concerns, and was smart enough to order a CT Scan. The scans showed a severely deviated septum, and the right side of my sinuses were almost swollen shut. He indicated surgery (septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery) was my best option, but also did not overly push me into surgery. I felt so comfortable with him, I booked the surgery right away. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health! Not only can I breathe like never before, but the sinus headaches are gone, and I havent had a sinus infection since the surgery. He also said that when I get a cold, they should last less time after surgery, and he was absolutely right. My quality of life has changed in ways I cannot express.Since then, I have had two other minor procedures with Dr. Pritikin. I had the turbinates in my sinuses reduced. He told me after I had my first surgery that it looked like something I should probably have done, but since I was already doing the septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery, he wanted to wait for a later date. Having the turbinates reduced made my breathing even better. Very recently, I had a VIVAER Nasal Airway Remodeling procedure done to fix some cartilage that was blocking my nasal passage on the right side. It was probably due to an injury sustained many years ago. It was so easy and pain free, and I felt better instantly in the chair. It shows that Dr. Pritikin stays up to date on all the latest procedures and surgeries. Literally everything he has recommended has made my health so much better, and I could not be more grateful.I also recently started seeing Dr. Corey in the practice. I called the office a couple months ago to ask them if they could recommend an asthma doctor for me. My asthma has been controlled for many years, without medication, but recently I had a flare up. They told me Dr. Corey could see me, as she is a specialist. All of the medications she gave me has drastically improved the asthma. I was there today, and my test results were within normal range, meaning outside what would be considered asthma. She has also taken over my acid reflux medication, and really helped get that under better control as well. Im very happy she is on staff at Chicago Nasal and Sinus Center.I havent worked with Amy too much, but she does a lot of Dr. Pritikins post-op appointments, to make sure everything has healed correctly following a procedure. She really knows her stuff, and was a lot of fun to work with. I can definitely say that if they offer you an appointment with Amy, she is absolutely worth having her take care of you.Lastly, Ill address something that really quite bothers me that I am reading in these reviews. In all the years I have been going to Chicago Nasal and Sinus Center, never once has anyone at the front desk ever acted rudely to any patient. In fact, they are one of the most friendly staff I have ever met in a doctors office. They always know who I am, and they are always asking me about something they remembered about me. I find it completely baffling that anyone would claim that they are rude. I can assure you, its quite the opposite!

I rarely leave any bad reviews but am upset with the way they bill their patients here. Dr. Caballero and the actual treatment here is great however there are a lot of hidden fees that you wont find out till you receive a statement in mail a month later. They dont tell you exactly what you are getting billed on, Dr. Caballero just performs tests on you but doesnt tell you how much these tests are. My treatment lasted less than 30mins and was billed $700+ for a simple allergic reaction to pollens. I wouldnt recommend them, the lack of honesty and integrity in their business practice is upsetting.

Dr Pritikin and Amy were fabulous. I’ve had nasal problems for years, starting with a deviated septum at birth and septoplasty in my 20s to straighten and remove polyps.Having been in Chicago for 5 years I finally decided to see an ENT for my constantly blocked right nasal passage. Allergies here don’t help, but it was interrupting my sleep. They introduced me to the vivaer procedure and their gentle approach was so welcome. All the staff I interacted with were lovely and two weeks later my nose is still a little tender (to be expected) but my breathing has improved out of sight. Can’t thank you enough! My procedure was completely covered by insurance, and that definitely helped. Thank you again for your help.

Dr. Pritikin has now performed two procedures on me - deviated septum surgery and the Latera implant and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. His demeanor is calm, thorough, compassionate and he will take all the time needed to make sure that you feel comfortable with what hes doing. He explains everything as he goes. His staff is also wonderful. Im not one to write reviews for doctors usually, but for him Ill make an exception.

Worst clinic ever, the front desk staff are extremely rude, they dodge any questions you ask them. I have been visiting them since 1 year due to nasal congestion and all they did was a nasal turbinate surgery which utterly failed and didnt improve my nasal flow and then did a allergy testing and turned out to be dust mite allergy and they are still not sure what causing the congestion. Amy and Dr. Pritikin - both of them are useless with the experience they have which is 30 years in nasal problems. I would say in a heartbeat - DO NOT GO TO THEM !

Dr. Caballero is a good doctor. However, the billing practices here are very, very shady.I’ve been to Chicago Nasal and Sinus center about 5 times. I originally went in for some severe nose bleeds that I’ve had my entire life and I figured that it wouldn’t cost too much to get treated even though I had not fully met my deductible. Boy was I wrong… All of a sudden I had an infection in my nose and it would cost me a pretty penny. This place will nickel and dime you and does a lot of unneeded tests… This is why you have to sign a bs form as a new patient… So they can get away with charging simple tests as surgeries. I’ve been to three other specialists this year and I’ve hardly ever paid more than the standard copay! Some simple procedures such as nasal cauterization and endoscopy are charged as very pricey surgeries. When I brought up the charges to my insurance company (BCBSIL), they were very confused by the claims and asked me if I had been to the hospital for surgery as this was indicated by the claim the practice had submitted. Just from two visits, I owe over $700. This is WITH insurance. And while I knew going in that my deductible still needed to be met, I didn’t except for very simple treatments to cost close to $2,000. What’s really unfortunate is that you are unsure what is considered preventive and what isn’t because Dr. Caballero is doing a lot of things inside of your nose and you aren’t really sure what is covered because no one tells you. I was never told that a camera being stuck in my nose (for 10 seconds) would cost $600… Nor was I prepared for this as this was never communicated with me prior to treatment/diagnosis. Which sucks considering the doctor turned around and all of sudden I had something in my nose that was apparently costing me several hundred dollars. The most frustrating thing by far was the billing practices. I only ever paid one or two copays and I would always ask the front desk before checking out if I had an outstanding balance. They would always say no beside the one time I paid a copay. Little did I know that there were hundreds of dollars of treatment costs accumulating in my account. This month, I got a bill for over $700 for treatment performed THREE months ago. If I would have known this would have been my treatment costs each visit, I would have stopped seeing the doctor a long time ago. Why was I told my outstanding balance was $0 when in fact, it was over $700 for three months? I had an appointment last week and I don’t even want to know how much I’m going to be charged or when I’m actually going to be billed for it… July???To top it all off, it cost me $800 just to be prescribed antibiotics and over the counter medicine. I was also being prescribed medications that weren’t even covered by my insurance. I still have an infection in my nose despite having over three months of treatment. If I was going to spend that much just to be close to the same as when I started treatment, I might as well just not gone and saved quite a bit of cash.I am stilling having problems with the infection but I have canceled my follow up appointment as I can no longer afford spending hundreds of dollars just for one visit.

Dr. Pritikin is fantastic. He did my sinus surgery in 2005. I just went back for another ENT issue. He carefully explains what he doing. He educates you through the appointment. And, he has a wonderfully calming bedside manner. Dont be foolish andgo elsewhere. I visited a different ENT at Illinois Masinic (not his office), and left feeling like they were a scam. They suggested my issue was acid reflux when they had no proof and I didnt have those symptoms. Yet they tried to get me to start daily medication. Lesson learned. I decided the commute downtown was well worth it. Go see Dr. Jordan Pritikin. I hardly ever write online reviews. That should speak volumes.
