Coming from St Louis Mo, I did much research on the best Dr to take care of my Total Knee Replacement in Chicago. My initial conversation over the phone was with Courtney and after that positive conversation I made an appointment to come meet Dr Della Valle. From start to finish I knew I was in good hands with the Dr, nurses and all of his staff. After surgery I went back to St Louis and I must say any questions I had were immediately answered by Courtney or if need be she referred me to one of the nurses. The text communication with exercises and tips on recovery after surgery were so helpful. Every time I was thinking about something, then a text would come through answering some of my questions. I can’t say enough about the care I received from Dr Della Valle and his team. I’m recovering beautifully. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me!

Dr. Della Valle replaced both my knees and both surgeries were very successful. It is too bad that I can give only 5 stars, because I would give him and his team 10 stars! The surgeries have given me my life back; I look forward to walking my dog and skiing again. I also cannot say enough about the wonderful support his team gave me from the beginning and throughout my recovery; everyone was very available, helpful and knowledgeable. In addition to personal support, Dr. Della Valle has a system of daily text messages that were inspiring and helpful for measuring my progress during my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Della Valle and his team.

From the start to finish the entire experience was excellent . Both Doctor and associated Staff very organized and highly attentive to my needs both before and after surgery. The Munster Surgery Center was also a class act, this was my second surgery with them the same year and they were awesome. Your in great hands with this team.

Dr Della Valle and his team have been amazing! I really appreciate being able to call a Surgical Nurse when Ive had questions and the texting updates and rehab tips have been really helpful. I had my hip replacement six weeks ago and it is already more comfortable to go on a walk than prior to surgery.

I am so grateful that my family finally found Dr. Della Valle! He is an amazing gifted, surgeon who actually cares about his patients. It’s like walking into another world when you know and see what he does and how it can change someone’s life! He is my 14 yr. old daughters surgeon, which she has had so many surgeries on her hips. She needed both hips replaced so badly and thank God we found Dr. Della Valle, he is the only doctor that could do this surgery and he took her very hard case on and never hesitated! Couldn’t have picked a better group than Dr. Della Valle and his team. I knew I was in good hands …felt calm and relaxed through the whole process - pre surgery, surgery and getting through physical therapy. His text messages were a lifeline for me. Always knew what to expect, where to be in my recovery and just knowing he was concerned with my progress. Those texts kept me going even when I felt a little overwhelmed. I chose RUSH Orthopedics (Munster,IN)when I first injured my knee because I wanted to be treated by the best. I was first treated by Dr Yanke who referred me to Dr Della Valle. Both teams were AMAZING. Within an hour of being referred, Dr Della Valle personally called my cellphone and arranged everything with his assistant Courtney. Anytime I called Della Valle’s office my call was immediately answered. I never had to leave a message.I had a total knee replacement and signed up for Dr Della Valle’s “surgery texts” which were spot on. Several times after surgery I would think of a question and it was like my mind was being read because I would receive a new surgery text that just so happen addressed what I was going through and thinking. A lot of thought was put into the text messages. Just as important, the encouragement and suggested exercises helped me get to a complete and full recovery. I would compare my progress to others (who used other doctors / Not from RUSH) in physical therapy and felt I was able to do much more than they could and got there much quicker. I attribute it to Dr Della Valle’s expertise and and their encouragement.I’ll be honest, the 9 days after surgery were rough but following the text messages and doing what Della Valle’s team had me do has made this process a complete success. 8 weeks after surgery and I’m walking with no pain and it’s so Smooth. I am actually looking forward to having the other knee done by Dr Della Valle.I would highly recommend RUSH orthopedics in Munster. I NEVER had a single complaint from day one.Dr Della Valle you are a blessing to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of me. I can’t wait until the next knee is done so I can have my life back.

I am very impressed and happy with my knee replacement surgery. The program is very comprehensive and detailed to assure the best outcome. I was especially impressed with all of the avenues of communication. The daily text messages were clear and gave us a “map” as to what to expect. On one occasion I began to feel some popping in my knee and coincidentally the text message of the day addressed this. I also needed to call/ page staff regarding concerns. One time was in the middle of the night and another on a Saturday. The staff responded in a timely manner and addressed my concerns. It is important to me to be able to contact my health care professionals when needed. I highly recommend Dr. Della Valle and staff.

From my first appointment to my 6week post op appointment, I never once had a question! Daily texts were awesome as was all staff members. Dr. Della Valle truly cares for his patients!

Im a competitive cyclist and professional adventure photographer. My life revolves around being active (& being able to hike/climb long distances). Im 5 weeks out of hip replacement surgery and feel great. I can comfortably walk 2 miles each day. Honestly, my recovery is going much faster than I expected. Dr. Della Valle has been great in post surgery follow up and his physical therapy team has also been outstanding. Very happy I decided to have Craig to my surgery. Would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

Dr. Della Valle is wonderful!!! His staff was very helpful as well. From the very beginning when I decided to have my partial knee replacement I was informed about everything. All my questions were answered with compassion and understanding. After surgery I recieved many helpful text that included instructions on everything from wound care to how I should be progressing. After receiving several recommendations for doctors to perform my knee replacement surgery, I decided to set an appointment to see Dr. Craig J. Della Valle. I had heard and read good reviews for Rush Hospital - Midwest Orthopaedics so, I called and setup an appointment. I was impressed by the level of customer service I received when checking in but was blown away by the level of service I received from everyone during the visit. From the first professional that greeted me to the assistants, nurses and finally the doctor, I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Della Valle was professional, courteousness, insightful and humble. He conducted a comprehensive survey of my knee, asked questions then based on the x-rays, recommended the replacement. Feeling good about my decision, I scheduled the surgery. On the day of the surgery, I was placed at ease by the dedicated staff. Everyone kept me informed and in great spirits. Dr. Della Valle stopped in prior to the start of the surgery and provided me reassurance. The surgery was completed before I even realized it was started. BTW, hats off to the Anesthesiologist, you did your job well! After recovery, I was up and walking before I left the hospital. Dr. Della Valle and staff followed up directly for several days after the surgery. I received text messages daily with information concerning my recovery. The messages and videos kept me informed and uplifted. I can’t say enough good things about the service I received. I too have to mention the follow up therapy I received. I had seen 7 doctors locally and not one wanted to help me with my arthritic hips because I am overweight. He saw me and a minute into our visit, he asked me when I wanted him to do surgery. I liked that he answered every question I had as well as sent a tri folder packed full of information on before, day of, and after surgery. The day of surgery, he came and talked to me before surgery to answer any questions and afterwards talked to my wife and answered all of her questions. He called the next day to see how I was feeling and I signed up for the daily text messages that helped out also. This man has an excellent bedside manner and genuinely cares for his patients. He repaired both of my hips and I would tell everyone to see him if you need surgery. I fought for five years to get my hips replaced, if it wasn’t for this man, I may not be here today as I was in so much pain! Thank you Dr. Della Valle you saved my life!

I think is he WONDERFUL!! I went five years to Dr.s that would not do surgery..he walked in the office and asked when do you want to do surgery6 DAYS later I had the right hip replaced!! Five weeks in and Im walking PAIN FREE. They were right there with any questions. I LOVED the text messages sent daily, they were right were I was and didnt have to call with questions. This was my first knee surgery experience. I had a partial knee replacement at the Munster Indiana facility. Dr Della Valle and his team were exceptional in my care. I was particularly impressed with the daily messages from his office to assist me in my preparation for surgery and with my post surgery exerises. I never felt alone in this process and would recommend anyone considering joint replacement to consider Dr Della Valle. My joint replacement was painless and my recovery was quicker than I thought it would be. I also used the Rush physical therapist who worked with dr Della Valle in monitoring my progress. My knee feels better than ever and I am greatful for the care I received. Highly Recommended!

Dr. DellaValle and staff were very sympathetic to my painful situation. Despite not being the best physical specimen, my knee replacement was scheduled and has gone extraordinarily well. Any concerns I had were handled compassionately by his staff. The text messages I signed up for were helpful and answered many questions along the way. I appreciated the encouragement and excercises that were sent. Everything was toop notch!

I had a great experience with Dr. Della Valle and his team with my RTHR. I am a VERY anxious person and I felt very cared for and at ease. The text messaging program was beyond beneficial! I am having my LTHR in two more days and will sign up for it again.

I have had my left hip & both knees replaced in a 6 month period by Dr Della Valle. He is wonderful. His bedside manner is kind and upbeat. His surgery skills are wonderful. The entire staff at Midwest Orthopedics are kind and very efficient. I have recommended him several times and will continue to do so.Use the Midwest orthopedic physical therapy team if you can. They are great and communicate directly with your surgeon.

I have had both of my knees replaced by Dr. Della Valle. He is a superb surgeon. Both surgeries were successful.His pain management is phenomenal. And as a nurse I can tell you Dr. DelleValles staff is remarkably efficient! The whole program that is set up prior to surgery prepares you totally for surgery. And if you have any question before or after surgery his nurses are a phone call away. They are there to answer any concerns and never make you feel like you are bothering them.I would and I have recommendedDr. Della Valle and all have told me that they were very impressed with him as well as his staff.

I chose Dr. Della Valle because he focuses only on hips and knees, as well as, meeting him and doing follow up appointments at his Munster office. He has quality skills as a surgeon and as a communicator. Throughout my hip recuperation, his text program assisted my progress and excellent outcome.

Great surgeon. Bedside manner...eh, but his surgical skills more than make up for it.

Dr Della Valle performed a hip surgery revision following 2 previous surgeries by another surgeon. A complicated situation, to be sure. His work was excellent and brought much needed pain relief and renewed mobility. He later did a right knee replacement - again, excellent work! His staff is outstanding.
