Jane is absolutely amazing! Her spa treatments are incredible and I always leave feeling very relaxed and full of knowledge! Jane takes the time to make sure you understand what she is putting on our body, as well as tips and tricks for home care!

I came in after box dying my hair and not getting the result I wanted so Lucy gave me a quick consultation, gave me options, and then gave me the exact color and color fix I was looking for. Mikey is thee absolute best!! Everyone at this salon is so friendly and helpful. This was my first time at Swerve, and I’ve just found my new salon! I’ve already booked a follow up appointment to gloss my hair, and get my brows done. I can’t remember the aesthetician’s name, but she was so sweet and made me instantly feel at ease because you can tell she really knows what she’s doing. The salon itself is located in a really great spot, with convenient street parking available. (I had a 10am appt, the street was packed with people eating at nearby restaurants, but I was able to park right outside of the salon with no trouble) I’m used to going to Charles Ifregan to get my hair cut, or simply doing it myself, but I’m so glad I went out on a limb and booked with Swerve. The environment in the salon is just very chill and relaxed, super inviting, and the services are all encompassing. Some salons (especially in nice areas like this one) are kinda intimidating and not as friendly, but Swerve is so chill.Now for the cut— I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted to do with my hair, but Mikey helped me find an easy style that actually frames my face in a flattering way. My hair feels so soft and silky, and looks great. He also was super helpful on giving me advice on coloring my hair (I’ve never actually colored my hair but as I’m getting older, I thought I might want to dye it, he suggested a gloss and then I was able to see two of the hair stylist glossed hair and I booked an appt to get that done in a couple months) as well as advice on how to keep my hair healthy by using a good Redkin thermal spray. I’m super happy with how my hair turned out, and the salon prices are awesome, they don’t break the bank. I highly recommend Mikey, as he is an absolute joy to be around, is excellent at what he does, and overall he’s just a great guy and fabulous stylist. Everyone at Swerve is so great, I will definitely be sending my friends and family here! Thanks, Mikey & everyone at Swerve, you guys are the best! :)

Aside from the front desk coordinator Kacy being extremely rude, I had a really great experience! Tara did a fantastic job and completely transformed by lifeless shoulder length hair into a smart and sassy cut. She treated me (a Groupon client) no differently than a longstanding client which I really appreciated. Kacy however didnt greet me when I walked in, kept glaring in the direction of our station, and actually came over to tell her to wrap it up. If you can get past the diva running the front desk, I think youll find the stylist talent worth checking out!

I visited Swerve for the first time yesterday, and I was randomly assigned to Kayla. Kayla is awesome! I cannot say enough positive things about her. She was incredibly sweet and helpful with hair tips that were more than just a hair cut. I will definitely be back to see her! Youd be lucky to have your hair cut by her!

Stephanie from swerved saved may hair back in like 2014 and I haven’t let someone touch my hair since! She is professional, personable, and delivers exactly what you ask for. I have had 3 family members and 2 friends go to her and LOVE her!!!! Can’t recommend swerve or Steph enough! I also have had my brows waxed by Jane twice and loved them each time. I can already see a significant difference in my brow shape. Oh and she recommended a moisturizer that they sell which healed my rosacea angry skin. LIFE SAVER!!!!

I came into Swerve Salon today as a first time client, and I could not be happier with the results of my hair! Stylist Tara Peterson did my color with some layering, and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I originally had blonde highlights and wanted to go for a deep brown look as Fall is approaching. Love getting my hair cut here. I tend to come every 6 months because I simply have no self control over keeping my hair short but Lucy does a fantastic job every time. And they are complying with mask policies and social distancing, which is a juicy red cherry on top.

I have been seeing Mallory at Swerve for nearly 4 years (!!!), so she has seen me through all kinds of life events! I went to Swerve for my wedding hair and makeup, and I recommend Mallory to all of my friends. She always greets me with a cheerful smile and a heavy pour of white wine, and her work is consistently perfect. I have thick, curly, dry hair that struggles to retain color, and she always knows exactly what to do to make it behave!Not seeing Mallory & Team Swerve for two months during the stay at home order was tough (both because life was generally terrible and because my grays were POPPING), so the return to the salon was so full of emotion. The team was SO respectful and cautious. They are limiting the number of guests, taking temps, and requiring masks and hand sanitizer for guests and employees. I felt 100% safe and cared for the entire time. I dont even care that they cant offer blowouts - the color and cut and sense of normalcy and pampering were totally worth leaving with a damp head!Im so grateful for Mallory and Swerve for being so thoughtful about their guests and community. I’ve been a few times to different stylist and each time have had a great experience. Recently I went to Kayla and got highlights and a short hair cut for the first time in a few years (I have long, dark brown hair). I wanted subtle highlights that would grow out easily if I decide not to keep up with them. Kayla did an awesome job of this, and she is also just a pleasure to chat with. I also got $20 off the total price for referring a friend to Kayla. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for friendly, talented stylists and good deals!

This place is full of helpful, attentive, kind and skilled personnel. Try it once, you may well be instantly changed into a permanent and loyal client, whoever your stylist happens to be. Grace is my absolute favorite! But Ive met with several stylists and my experience has been fantastic in every case.

I LOVE this place. I was given a recommendation by a dear friend who does a lot of modeling and thus has her hair go through the ringer! She brought me in as a double date and we were both seen by Lucy.I had a hair cut in college that I had a friend give me (dangerous, I know) that I loved. After it ended up growing out I could never achieve that hair cut again no matter how many pictures I showed to stylist about it or wherever I went. Skip to skip to going to swerve, I showed Lucy the cut and had what I felt was the first real talk with a stylist about my hair/head. She gave me a thorough discussion of what the shape of my head, texture of my hair and how they merge together would go in regards to how the cut would go. I had NEVER had someone talk to me so in depth about my hair before. It totally felt like a psychic was communicating with my head or some such (sounds crazy, I know). At any rate, I felt totally confident in Lucy giving me the haircut I wanted.Then I got the absolute best hair washing experience I ever had... I felt like I lost years off my head and my stress was extremely reduced.Once the hair cut started it was meticulous and very confident, Lucy was always checking in on me, making sure I was ready and aware of everything she was doing.IN SHORT! :D I LOVE the haircut and have been back several times to maintain it. I love coming here! Ive sat in Lindsays chair 3 times now (most committed Ive ever been to a stylist!) and have been over the moon with the results! She really takes the time to hear me out, and ask questions about color and cut. The atmosphere is super welcoming and they always have the best new products to recommend for my hair type.Edit: I got my first ever spray tan! Tristen was so great! She made me feel very comfortable and was patient in understanding my skin and the color I was hoping to achieve. She suggested products not only to help nourish my skin but also help prolong my tan. Its only the day after but Im excited by the results!

The entire team is wonderful. From the moment you check in, until you check out, everyone makes you feel welcome and important. I got a haircut with Lucy, who took the time to not only learn my hair routines, but made great suggestions with products and techniques. She even took the time to explain the various options I had to correct some growing out and fading color. Cant wait to go back!

Jackie really knows what shes doing. I always leave this place smiling. I have thick straight hair, and she always cuts it so that it looks full yet not heavy. I also have two cowlicks at my hairline, but she manages to make my bangs look great. Best of all, I dont just look great leaving the salon, I can re-create it all at home. The first time I went (Ive been four times), she suggested a glaze, which is this semi-permanent solution that enhances shine with a hint of color -- I LOVE IT. It looks so natural. Plus shes fun to talk to and always remembers what we were talking about last time. Highly highly recommend.

I have been going to Swerve Salon since it has opened (over 10 years). Amy is my stylist and she is the absolute best! The salon is hip and current with products and trends. They have diverse stylist so whatever you are looking for they probably have (color/cut/men/women)! The reception & support staff are awesome! They always send reminders of your appointment and Ive never had to wait! A fantastic head massage is always included in your wash/condition! The service was top notch, my colorist listened to my concern (I am a redhead so needed someone who understands that) She made a few recommendations and went to work! I couldnt be happier with the color and cut! I will be returning to Swerve again soon and even have them doing my Wedding Day hair!

What a transformation! Good lord was my hair a mess. My once rose gold hair had faded to an orange balayage with drastically different root color. I went in there with no specific requirements other than to have a light rose gold and blend out the color. Amanda was amazing! I have extremely long hair and she took the time to discuss my options and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. There was a lot of communication and tips between the stylist, so it made me feel comfortable that I was in capable hands. Lisa was also helpful on the administration side. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and fabulous hair. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve wanted a change in my style for a while, but I’ve never had the courage. From the second I walked into the salon, Lindsay made me feel comfortable and confident about choosing a hair color and changing my style. She explained each step because it was my first time getting my hair colored! Her easy conversation made me feel like I was talking to a friend about hair care rather than being lectured (I’ve never been a fan of that!). I’ve always bounced around hair salons and stylists because I’ve never felt very connected to the process before. Lindsay made me feel so fabulous when I walked out that I can’t wait to go back again to get another cut and color before my wedding!

I got a bad cut. My stylist had a bit of a put-on persona, which was weird. Im writing this review after about 4 weeks, and also getting my hair cut again somewhere else. Its not that theyre horrible - they werent rude or careless. I bet they can do good cuts, but my dollars were wasted here.

I was referred by a friend for a blowout, and they give you 25% off retail as a first-time client, which is nice.When I arrived, they treated me warmly and offered to take my coat. My stylist Jackie immediately offered me a choice of water, coffee, or wine (bonus points for offering free booze!), and took me over to the station.She gave me some great suggestions to help in my search for a new shampoo and conditioner, and my hair felt lighter than air when she was done with it - thats saying something since I have extremely heavy, curly/wavy hair.10/10 - would definitely come back here!

My sister took me to Swerve for the first time after I gave myself a bad bang trim. They fixed my bangs and gave me an amazing haircut! That was 15 years ago and Ive been a loyal customer ever since! The team is friendly, fun, and focused on a wonderful customer experience. I cant see myself getting my hair cut, colored, trimmed, conditioned, or anything else anywhere but Swerve. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Id give 5+ stars for thatI showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. The look I was going for was a super blunt cut bob. My haircut wasnt a disaster or anything but it wasnt anything like the picture. Im not entirely sure why the stylist roundbrushed my hair as I left with a an old fashioned mom haircut. I even asked at the end..will this be super blunt when I go home and straighten my hair? It wasnt.With that being said the staff is very nice. They offered me a fix up cut with a senior stylist. I tried messaging them back from the Groupon app and it wasnt going through. Unfortunately my cut was too short at the time to want to cut more off to fix it.

Mackenzie did a really great job making sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself and she did an excellent job with my hair. I walked out feeling fresh and happy with my. Ive been a loyal Swerve customer since it opened, technically just before it opened - I was there for the soft launch. I moved to NY and still came back to Amy at Swerve. They get it right. They know hair, they know customer service, they know me. I am so excited about the expansion made possible by the new location, spa services were amazing.

I originally was with Mandy and am now with Stephanie, who has provided alot of information regarding my hair type and recommendations. And what other salon offers you wine as you get your hair done. I had my hair cut at Swerve yesterday and it was a great experience! Kayla cut my hair and did a great job! I decided to cut off almost a foot of hair and Kayla made the usually nerve-wrecking exprience both comfortable and fun. She even helped cut the hair in a way that allowed me to donate it! The free wine didn’t hurt either... highly recommend this Salon and Kayla!

Im always so happy with my hair when I leave. Jennifer is great! I have always been very picky about my haircuts (wierd, I know). When I moved to Chicago 3 years ago, I found Swerve Salon and had an appointment with Jennifer. Since then, I have not and will not go see anyone else. Jennifer is easy going, great to shoot the sh- with, and does a damn good job at cutting hair. She always manages to squeeze me in when I wait until the last minute to make an appointment.The staff is really friendly- They always ask to hang your coat, offering a drink of water or beer when you are waiting (which is never long). Highly recommended!

Gave me a technically poor haircut, wouldnt fix it; really bad customer service in my own experience and others.I came in for a haircut a day before leaving the country; The stylist cut my hair in a way I did not like and I said so at the time, but she said she didnt have time to fix it and that I should wear it for a few days and see if I like it. I still did not like the haircut after a few days but was out of town and could not contact the salon.I contacted them when I returned a month later but management said that their policy was 2 weeks (even though the stylist had known I would be out of town at that time) and that they would not do anything about it. Anyway now I am down the $ for a haircut and pretty unhappy with the way my hair looks; not a great experience. Bad haircut and bad customer service :(A reply to the owners response: I did not say anything about having my hair up and I have seen you reply to others reviews and it is clear that you do not listen or make any kind of improvement based on constructive criticism; I told the staff member on the phone that I was displeased with the cut when I left the salon, and let the stylist know! I think that when someone is unable to come or make contact or during that window, especially if the stylist is aware of that when the customer leaves the salon, there should be exceptions made to the rule. I have received better results and treatment from literally ANYWHERE else that I have gotten my haircut (great clips, hair cuttery, my friend shearing my hair in the sink with kitchen scissors), so finding a better salon should be a piece of cake. For your own sake, I hope your business practice improves I am seeing a lot of unhappy reviews where it seems you did not treat customers with fairness or respect.

If you could see my hair, you would understand why Im giving this salon a one star. I am fake blonde with very little root showing. I asked for low lights to help blend my brown roots and the blonde money piece. My friends said it looks like nothing was done to my hair and on top of that, the front was lightened and a section right in the front (literally right on my forehead) was not bleached so I have a brown SPOT of hair surrounding blonde hair. Safe to say, I will never return. I look like a kids doll. I have to get another appt to fix this immediately, its too embarrassing to be in public! Liked the stylists personality, however, this was a huge waste of money!
