I recently attended a Music Award event in the Essence Medspa & Wellness Center. I received a tour around the whole spa with my wife and we had Elena by ourside explaining each room function.The service, knowledge and profesionalism of the ladies was remarkable and to the highest quality deserved. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to return.

Really liked the experience overall. Beautiful, clean and very relaxing - the only downside was that the robes and towels are not big enough for larger people. I had to hold the robe closed while walking around.

I have to make some time for this review. I have been to many places to get massages but nothing like this one for SURE!! My good friend Maria coffee shop owner next door (you have to try her coffee menu) invited me for a mini getaway and I had the most amazing time! This was a whole different experience we were greeted very nicely since we walked in and were shown around the locker rooms to get ready for our massage. Hosting a sauna steam room within the locker rooms. We were taken to a zen area where there was some corner resting sofas and some relaxing music before our massage therapist took us to our room. The massage was unforgettable 💯 but the overall experience is so memorable. It’s worth every penny if you want a relaxed massage and a getaway zone without anyone rushing you out.

Everything about Essence Medspa and Wellness center is best described by ZEN. They have a locker room where you can change into a robe and flips provided by them before your services and then after you can relax in their beautiful meditation room or sauna.

I absolutely love this place. Julianna gave such a relaxing hot stone massage! I felt instantly relaxed and rejuvenated. Allie at the front desk is so sweet and helpful I highly recommend this place to every and anyone looking to relax!

My cousin who is in town for a short while booked an appointment with them for a massage as this helps her discomfort due to her cancer. They accepted the appointment and booked and then 2 hours before the appointment called and said we cannot accept you coming in because you have cancer. This place blatantly discriminates against people with cancer and it it extremely disappointing.

Julianna is the best massage therapist... she can scale up and down the pressure to meet your needs. This spa is 45 min away from me but it’s worth it because she is the best!!

Be ready for this. Drink lots of water.

This place is a hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, the aroma was enough to make me stay. The staff was amazing, friendly and very cool about everything in general. I got the bamboo room and did the couples massage. Massage was everything, and the room and vibe was amazing. They have a steam and dry sauna which are an amazing added detail. They give you robes, shower shoes, and provide amazing soaps if you want to shower before or after. The oasis main area is super cool and they even served us mimosas. I cant say enough good things. Definitely an amazing experience.

Essence Medspa is one of the most relaxing and well run facility I have ever utilized. All of their massage therapists are tremendously talented offering some of the most theraputic and helpful massage sessions in the Chicago area. Everything from the locker room to the excellent steam and showers are top notch. Always plenty of towels and refreshing cold water are available and their pricing is very reasonable for all of their professional services. I highly recommend this facility.

Drove to the place Friday before 5pm to get a gift card and the place was dark and doors locked! I am very glad I did not order a gift card on-line. It appears that the place is closed!

Agree with most reviews. It has great potential, but it fell flat to my expectations. It was cramped in the locker room with minimal ventilation. The steam room was amazing, though! The sauna...not even working. Had to ask them to turn it on and they gave me some reasons why it was not on at the time. There should be someone monitoring the locker rooms and replenishing the water and cold towels, which were warm . There were also NO extra towels to use...that should not even be a problem, but it was.I waited for ten minutes to get serviced at the front to pay, and the owner was sitting there blabbing away to someone else ignoring me. IReally unprofessional.The place was pretty empty too, and unfortunately will stay that way until they make some changes.The decor is beuaitful along with the ambiance- hence the potential!!The place is very clean though- that is a plus. They should offer guest coffee, tea, snacks, etc! There was nothing available to sip on besides warm water while waiting.The massage itself was mediocre...I will not be going back to the price.

This place has amazing potential but the workers ruin it. They are so unprofessional and unorganized. The doctor messed up on my moms face and said they wouldn’t charge her for it. Yet for some reason every time we come in the hassle me for the payments when the doctor keeps saying we don’t have to pay. Also, the laser hair removal is overpriced! Go on Groupon and find better professionals who offer MORE and you pay less!
