I usually find myself filled with dread at going to the dentist, but have been so pleasantly surprised by the care I’ve received at Advent. Staff appears to universally be so friendly, caring and patient. Karla did my cleaning, and was so gentle and kind. Dr. Killeen (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) did my fillings and was so professional, gentle, and caring and talked me through the process. She really put me at ease explaining what else needed to be done, and also went out of her way to say hi, and check in to see how my fillings were doing when I returned this week. (They feel great and I have no bite issues, by the way!) It made me feel so welcome to have that personal touch of her taking time to check in with me when I came back to have an extraction and implant started with Dr. Ramirez this week. I was nervous to get that procedure, but he was patient and knowledgeable in explaining the process, and honestly it went so much better than I expected! Painless, surprisingly smooth process and I’m healing well. I appreciate that he took time to explain the process and check in as he was working to keep me updated; he was friendly and professional and gentle, with a patient demeanor that put me at ease. Also, Rose (and the other front desk staff) have been so helpful in explaining cost, following up about insurance and prescriptions, and just helping me feel cared for and like they aren’t trying to overcharge me, but instead really look at options and help me feel financially prepared. I am so thrilled to have found this practice and will be returning. I have always been a reluctant dental patient and seem to always have an issue with my teeth, but with this quality, welcoming team I am hopeful to turn over a new leaf and begin enjoying dental visits!

The reality is a year ago I was told I needed some work done On 2 molars. I got some work done on one and decided to wait because it was not as pressing . In January I got a cleaning and said one of the molars felt gritty. The hygienist said oh it’s nothing . I said are you sure ? I had something going on last summer. Well now 6 months later another cleaning today and that grittiness I felt is a cracked filling that needs a root canal . I questioned this and knew something was not right. My daughter also got a cleaning today and they did not polish her teeth not sure why . Plan on calling in the morning . I have had pleasant experiences in the past but today was not one.

Excellent service all clean and prepared, taking temperature 100% satisfied. They have an interpreter for the people who speak Spanish like my mom they explain clearly to you. All the staff super nice and professional This is my first time and I will go back I recommend.

I have avoided the going to any dentist for years. Then I had a problem and went to Dr. Ramirez at Advent. They were great! Super chill, calming and addressed my problem. I then felt comfortable to get a full cleaning and address some fillings. They are great about figuring out what’s covered by insurance and working with you to figure that out. I highly recommend them.

I went to see Dr. Ramirez, after my dentist of 30 years retired. I went for a root canal, that came up quickly. I was welcomed into a very clean, friendly office by Rose. Jasmine prepped me and Dr. Ramirez came in and took care of the tooth. Modern technology made the procedure quick and painless, I walked out with the crown on that day!! The prices are reasonable and they try to work with you and your insurance. I fully intend on making Dr. Ramirez, and the rest of the staff at Advent, my new care providers for all things dental.

I was attended to in a timely manner. Staff is professional. I inadvertantly dropped my face mask on the floor and the dental hygentist, Jasmin if I could have a fresh one from the practice. She said they barely had enough for staff.When Dr. Ramierez came to wish me happy 75th birthday, I explained the above unfortunate situation and asked if he please provide me with a clean mask. He readily complied. Such a gentleman he us.

Very professional & polite.My first visit was a little difficult, wasn’t able to have my teeth pulled (wisdom & molar) due to a slight infection. Rec’d many numbing shots that caused swelling & bruising for a whole week... So of course, I was very nervous to return this week (after taking antibiotics & pain was reduced...)HOWEVER, it turned out okay. When all was done, I didn’t even know the teeth were out until the dentist told me.NOW, I’m just hoping the recovery goes well... fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Everything and everyone was great! Starting with the receptionist, she greeted me with a warm smile and good morning. Elwira was gentle and throughout. Dr Ramirez was the best! He made sure i was comfortable and felt no pain :D The team was fast and efficient. They worked with me with getting all my dental work done in one sitting; an extensive cleaning, a filing and a crown. I was there from 10 am to 2 pm. Keep in mind it takes some time for the anesthesia to take affect and the crown needs some drying time in the oven (some dental places make you wait 2-3 weeks for your crown!!)The facility is clean and open floor plan. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Let me begin by saying that I have the BIGGEST fear of dentists, that I have to take medication to help calm my nerves. I literally have a panic attack just thinking about going to one. I looked all over and read a thousand reviews and finally found the PERFECT ONE!! From setting up the appointment to actually going to the office, the staff is INCREDIBLE!!! Very welcoming, very patient, very caring, very genuine!!! I hadnt been to the dentist in a long while and my biggest fear was to be ridiculed for it, but not here!! They didnt judge me or make me feel bad about myself, they actually made me feel better and put my anxiety to ease. They actually care about YOU and YOUR NEEDS, not just about making money. Dr Ramirez gave me back hope. When other dentists didnt give me the time of day, he did. He made me feel better about myself and gave me hope for a better healthier smile. I wanted to cry. He is very genuine and sincere. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone who has doubts and fears of dentists. They truly are amazing!! I can honestly say, Im excited to go back and can rest easier knowing Im in great hands!!

I recently came into Advent for the first time after leaving my previous dentist whom was just too far of a drive. It was not an easy switch as my previous dentist set the bar high. I absolutely love that I went. Jazmine did a phenomenal and especially thorough cleaning. Dr. Ramirez was very professional, knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. Ms. Rose was also very professional and had great advice on how to proceed with future appointments and procedures from a financial/insurance coverage perspective. They even let me bring my 2 year old son in order to familiarize him with the process as his appt is next week. Very happy my wife made me go;)

Ive been going to Dr. Ramirez at Advent Dental for over ten years now. He and his dental assistants are really kind, attentive, and care for and about their patients. Ive visited both, the south side and north side locations; even when living way on the opposite end of town, simply because of the down to earth demeanor and stellar treatment Ive received. I now have a 2.5 year old daughter and plan to bring her in as well. Id recommend Advent Dental to anyone seeking a no-nonsense, down to earth, dental environment.

Great experience. The receptionist helped with any questions about insurance and the hygienist did a great job and was very comforting. I was a little nervous going back to see a dentist but the staff made it a breeze and a great experience.

Let me start by saying I was scared to death of going to the dentist to get my tooth pulled. I had an experience with another dentist that traumatized me drastically. I went to the office the first day, almost in tears only to learn I couldnt get my tooth pulled because it was infected. On my return visit, Mr Ramirez had an emergency and I could no longer wait so I had to leave. I was ready to just keep the half broken tooth in my mouth at that point but it got back infected. I called Rosa, who is so nice and encouraging and she sent me out a prescription and scheduled me to come back. I went back and got the tooth pulled. It hurt but once the numbing medicine kicked in I was better also the staff made me so comfortable. The assistant or dental hygienist Linda let me squeeze her hand, I know I probably hurt her but she just smiled at me. Mr Ramirez had patience with me, stopped when I screamed out ( I was legit freaking out, I felt so bad for them lol) or looked uncomfortable and talked me right through it. Once I was done, everyone was so relived FOR ME, which was funny. Rosa came back and darn near congratulated me for getting through it lol. So, I said all that to say, it was a great experience even through all my fear. I plan to bring my daughter in next year as well. Thank you all.

Are you afraid of Dentists? Have you had uncomfortable experiences in the Dentist Office making you want to avoid future offices like the plague? Well, look no further, Advent Dental is where its at! From the minute I called, to my same day appointment, to the friendly reception staff and then Assistant and Dentist Dr. Ramirez, everything went off without a hitch. I suffer from some severe Dental anxiety, thanks to the Dentists of my past, and found Advent Dental accidentally. I knew I needed somewhere to go and wanted to make sure I found an in-network Dentist, little did I know this gem was only a single block from my house! Dr. Ramirez was very patient, thorough and understanding. His news of needing to give me a root canal and crown really rattled me but he explained it in a way that assured me I would be fine, so much so that I actually stayed and had the procedures done the same day! I never had a root canal, and so he helped me understand why it was necessary, he debunked some of the myths as to why some people say they are painful, and also told me Id have my permanent crown in the same day-- what?! And true to his word, the procedure was not painful, he worked with me when I needed to take a break, and printed out and installed my permanent crown the same exact day. Talking with friends and family they all shared stories about needing to wait a week or two with a temporary crown, because at their dentists, their crowns were printed off site at an outside lab. Well, not at Advent Dental he has so many state of the art features including an in house CEREC machine, its incredible. Advent Dental literally created my permanent dental crown right away and I saved myself the time and trauma (see Dentist Anxiety referenced above), so I could get on with my life and adjust to my permanent crown right away. So, after all this, I decided this is my new dentist and I made a follow up appointment (wow). So glad I went on a limb at Advent Dentist, and am glad Ive found a place for my dental health!

I cannot talk enough about this place! I was always so wary of going to the dentist due to horrible past experiences, but I knew it was time. I relunctantly called to make an appt, as my insurance coverage was about to expire. When the receptionist found this out, she made sure to get me in as quick as possible!Im the end, I had a cleaning and my wisdom teeth pulled. I didnt feel a thing.I was very impressed with the kindness and professionalism of the whole staff. Will definitely recommend to everyone!

Today was my first time visiting my dentist (Dr Steven Arnstein) at this location. I have been a patient of Dr Steven for over 30 yrs and did not know what to expect when I arrived. But from the time I entered thru that door it was like WOW....the office was very clean and inviting, the staff very friendly and knowledgeanle. The equipment at Advent Dental gotta be the state of arts and the set up looks similar to the Mayo clinic. I would say to anyone looking for a good and honest dentist you can find one at 3443 s Halsted.The only downside to my visit today was that I paid for 2hours of parking and used less than 45mins.
