Dr. Sidra Iqbal and her entire team are fantastic! Very detailed, very kind, and my appointments were right on time. I did cleaning, bleaching and a new crown for my front teeth. Ive had nothing but terrible experiences with dentists after moving to Chicago 7 years ago. Had to have a deep cleaning done and was very nervous because of previous bad experiences. This was by far, THE BEST experience at a dentist Ive ever had. Cant recommend them enough.

Ive been going to Dr. Rita Shah for 13 years, and I will NEVER go to another dentist! She is highly skilled, knowledgeable, professional, kind, honest, and funny. She has the most gentle hands when shes doing any type of dental work. You dont have to worry about getting surprise/bogus bills at Modern Smiles because they let you know what your estimated bill will be prior to getting treatment. Ive had bad experiences in the past with some dental offices that either overcharge, cheat you out of money, and/or incorrectly bill you....this is something that is NOT done at this dental office. In addition to this, the office is clean, modern, and some rooms even have massaging chairs 🙂. The entire team is friendly, patient, nonjudgmental, and professional. Modern Smiles is the best!

Very friendly, helpful, polite and just a lovely staff to deal with. They dont hide the costs, they give you a breakdown of everything which is very nice. Everything was absolutely painless as well.They are one of the best dentists around and would highly recommend them if you need a great dentist in the area!

Had an old crown fall out and heard about Modern Smiles from a friend and from walking by in the neighborhood. The office is new and super clean. The staff from the front desk to the exam were so friendly and the dentists are super informative - explaining in detail the process, cost, timeline. Highly recommend!

The staff and Dr. we’re very friendly and thorough. Explained everything that they were doing and even showed me where the problem spots where on my x-rays and photos. Cleaning was quick, in and out in an hour. Actually fell asleep in the chair.

First of, per most people I assume …. I never enjoyed going to the dentist, after years of work that I was not happy with I decided to find a new place to have my teeth cleaned and worked on. (Two years since my last appt)My first appt was in July, went in and was already impressed by how nice the space was. They had me fill out all the forms before I came in through a text message link that easily brought me to a secure site to fill everything out (which makes everything easier and faster when you get to the office!)Dr. Rita is amazing she at my first check up helped me feel way more comfortable and less nervous about everything - well…… I after 2 years of not having a check up (Covid is mostly to blame) I had quite a few cavities and needed my first crown. (Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!) but it was not that bad at all…… I had to go in weekly for the past couple months to have everything “fixed” and now I feel like they are part of my family! The work she does is truly art. Her team from the front desk to all of the techs are absolutely amazing, polite, and super friendly! I now have a bite guard to better protect my teeth, and I feel much much more knowledgeable about my dental care and routine (even tho my last dentist said I was “doing great”)Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I finally feel taken care of by a team that doesn’t do unnecessary work, or sub-par work. You will feel taken care of by everyone. Y’all are the best. I’ll see you in March for my cleaning!

Couldn’t recommend this place more! Called for an emergency dental appt and they got me in the same day within 2 hours. Unfortunately I had a tooth infection but was given a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds. Made an appt for the following weekend for 2 wisdom teeth extraction. The entire staff made me feel nothing but comfortable. I was so nervous but they were great at easing my nerves. Was even provided with headphones so I didn’t have to hear anything during the procedure! The actual extraction was super quick and the pain has been minimum. I definitely plan to return for all my future dental needs 😊

Modern Smiles is excellent! Ive moved a lot for work and Ive been to 4 dentists in the past 6 years. Modern Smiles is far and away the best.The receptionist is extremely friendly, thorough, and efficient. The dental hygienist is kind, does an excellent job, and is really good at explaining everything.Dr. Rita Shah is excellent. Shes such an expert at what she does, also does a great job of explaining everything shes doing, and is very intentional about every decision. Dr. Rita has a calm demeanor and consistently checks in during the appointment to make sure you understand whats happening and see how youre doing. Ive never had a better dentist.The office has very high end equipment and always smells really nice. Their COVID protocol is thorough and reassuring. In sum, Im so glad I found this place - definitely give it a shot.

Im new to the area and I wanted to find a local dentist. This team is amazing! Setting an appointment is easily done through the portal on there site. Before arriving to my appointment, surveys are sent out, to ensure Covid-19 safety protocols are being followed. The place is spotless and disinfect is readily available. Outside of the facilities, the staff is awesome. Abby, at the front desk , and Carla, the dental assistant, are nice and seem to really enjoy their jobs. I would 100 % recommend making an appointment here.

Ugh... too far, I initially complained. Trust me, you have to see her. So I reluctantly drove in from the northern suburbs.My visit to Dr. Shah was nothing short of outstanding.The entire experience from check-in to check-out was great. I literally did not feel the needle for the numbing medicine. I dozed off during my filling. And her teams professionalism gave me peace of mind.I cant say thank you enough. 5 stars is not enough to give.

Had a great experience at Modern Smiles. It is a convenient location and modern. It is has a friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is paperless and utilizes modern technology. From beginning to end, I enjoyed being at the dentist office. We had just moved here before the pandemic hit and did not settle on medical or dental locations. I am glad I noticed this place and thankful my insurance covered it. I never had a dentist who actually cleaned my teeth and informed me of the best ways to keep my teeth clean. I am very glad I found Dr. Shah.

Everyone here is so nice and professional! Going to the dentist is usually a stressful and not fun ordeal for me but everyone was so pleasant and made me feel so at ease. Honestly, I dread going to the dentist and getting work done, just the normal fear of pain but the staff there is great. Dr. Shah is kind, gentle and very knowledgeable. Karla is a wonderful assistant that is an extension to Dr. Shah’s kindness and gentle personality and Addy is so warm and welcoming. The procedures were painless and quick—I’d strongly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for creditable and kind treatments inside sleek dentist office!

Great office! Passed by this place and decided to get a dental exam and cleaning since I hadnt been for years. The office is very up to date with amenities and cleaning, theyre handling COVID pretty well from what Ive seen, and the staff is incredibly friendly and professional. After jumping ship from my current dentist, I was slightly nervous switching to a new dentist at a new practice.....but Modern Smiles exceeded my expectation. State of the art office, great staff, and they explain everything to you in great detail. If you need a new dentist...or a change...GO TO MODERN SMILES!

The front desk staff, dental assistant, and Dr. Shah were all extremely nice and helpful. I was worried about going to my own dentist with my own insurance for the first time, but it was a great experience. They all took the time to explain what they were doing and why, what the treatment plan was and why, and exactly what I would be charged at future visits. They also had a great and thorough hygiene plan. Im really happy with my experience and looking forward to continuing care there. There is also a massaging exam chair which is fantastic.

I had my first visit with Modern Smiles few days ago. I had my reservations about going to the dentist given the circumstances of whats going on with Covid 19, but needed my teeth to be looked at for some urgent needs. Those reservations subsided quickly after seeing all the precautions taken with my check-in and during my entire visit. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my appointment. This office is SUPERB I would recommend anyone here! I was having such terrible toothache due to an infection, and couldn’t find a dental office that could take me in last minute, after work. To my luck I called this office told them my situation and they were able to accommodate me within 15 minutes. Upon arrival the receptionist was super kind and accommodating and made sure all my questions were answered. The doctor and assistant were very kind and genuine as well, for lack of better words the staff is AMAZING. Not to mention the modern aesthetic of the office. Definitely making this place my permanent dental office!

This is a newer practice at the time of the review and I received service from Dr. Shah who stated she had been practicing for 15 years at a different office. This is the first time Ive chosen my own dentist and genuinely couldnt have been happier with the service provided by Dr. Shah. The dental hygienist that started my visit was very friendly and nice, as was the entire staff. Once Dr. Shah came in, she was incredibly warm and open, and when she started the exam she asked if I had any questions, I asked if she would mind explaining what she was doing so I could better understand the service I was receiving, any time I had a question about what she said she was doing, she did a phenomenal job telling me what it was and why. Overall I was incredibly pleased here and am looking forward to going back! Highly recommend this practice!

Will be going back soon for a new night guard and they don’t even need to take a mold of your teeth with their new imaging technology! Highly recommended if you are looking for a dentist! I went to Dr. Shah to get a second opinion about a treatment plan that my dentist gave me. Dr. Shah provided me with detailed information about all my treatment options so that I could make an informed decision. She is extremely knowledgeable and empathetic, a combination that won me over. Based upon my wonderful experience with Dr. Shah and the entire staff, I am now changing dentists and this will be my new home for all dental care.

I went there because they were close and accepted my insurance. I would rather pay out of pocket anywhere else than visit Dr. Shah again.The other reviews are correct. The office is clean and the staff are friendly. But I do not trust Dr. Shah at all. I went in to get a quick fix on a permanent retainer that popped off one tooth. While I was there I figured I was overdue for an exam and cleaning and went for it.After the exam and cleaning I was presented with a treatment plan that included filling on 17 teeth for the cost of over $4000 after discounts. I did not trust a new dentist who suddenly says half my teeth need fixing when I am not having any noticeable pain. I went to get a 2nd opinion from a dentist I trust isnt just trying to con me. I was told I need 1 cavity drilled and filled for sure and maybe a second. The trusted dentist also said if she wanted to be aggressive and preemptive she could recommend a few other things could potentially be done like replacing some older fillings but by no means are those issues that need to be addressed now or even for sure in the future. And she had no clue why Dr. Shah would medically recommend many things on the treatment plan. In the opinion of the dentist I trust, Dr. Shah was taking me for a ride.On top of that the fix to my retainer broke again within days.In summary Dr. Shah recommended over a dozen unneeded fillings presumably to bilk me of money. I had heard horror stories of dentists like this but didnt think it would happen to me. I would describe her as more of a con artist than a dentist.As a final note the office offered me a gift card for a positive review and presumably gives others the same offer so I wouldnt trust the high star rating.
