Review for Karla, the nail technician! You have to come here, she is the best you can find! She does magic on your nails and they last a whole month! I tried so many spots in Chicago and I was never satisfied with the ratio pricing/quality. Ever since I’ve met her, I have not changed and I don’t intend to! She pays attention to details and she wouldn’t make you leave if she didn’t do a great job! Here is the pic of my own nails with gel, aren’t they perfect? I have been going to Jo Chicago Salon for a few months now and is definitely my favorite nail salon I have ever been to! The techs here do a great job every time I come in. Theres complimentary wine, a good movie on the TV and a clean, modern atmosphere. I also love that I can just text you guys to book an appointment. Jo, you guys have me hooked for life! Thank you for always taking care of my hands!

This review is for Gabby. She did an amazing job! I had red hair for a couple of months and wanted to go back to brown. I showed her a picture of what I was aiming for and she managed to color it as close as possible to my goal, probably even better! My friend loved my hair so much she booked an appointment with Gabby as well. I would definitely recommend her!

I highly recommend the Michigan Avenue service. I leave relaxed and looking good every time! Jo (the owner) has been cutting my hair for the past five years even before it was under her management.They have a very comfy waiting room with great movies always playing. Each station has a TV built into the mirror which is pretty cool. All the staff is very personable and easy to talk to.

I really like this place! I always do the Brazilian Jo Chicago Salon with Nicky she is awesome and it doesnt hurt too much! If you go each 5 weeks you have to pay 55 good deal for the good people and the cozy place.

Amber is THE BEST. I was super nervous about dying my hair and wasn’t sure what I wanted. Amber helped me pick out a color and I was beyond ecstatic and surprised with how it came out. She put care into the cut and made me look and feel awesome. 💁🏻‍♀️

Jennifer did an amazing job on my no chip! Literally the best manicure I have ever had. To top things off, as soon as you walk through the door they offer wine!

The most amazing nail experience I have ever had. I received a no-chip manicure service using a Groupon voucher. Jennifer was WONDERFUL and my nails turned out gorgeous. They serve complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non) and treat you in a VIP suite with a television. I had such a lovely, relaxing time and left feeling beautiful and refreshed from the excellent service. The receptionist was very nice over the phone as well. I would highly recommend Jo Chicago, A+ 5 Stars!

I just got back from seeing Amber and she did an excellent job with my balayage melt. It’s important to know you won’t always get the hair in the picture, stylist knows best!! She worked with my natural root base to tone out my redness but keep my balayage blended super well and make it look effortless. I rarely leave reviews but she did an excellent job and kept me informed on how to expect my hair to lift as well as why and what she was using on my hair. Great experience 😊

If I could I would give this 0 stars I did not even make it to the place. Purchased a groupon for a haircut deep conditioning and blow out. Made an appointment for Monday. Just got a text cancelling my appointment due to only having one stylist available who called off. So I guess they have cancelled all their Monday appointments.They should try letting buyers know this prior to purchasing. I tried making an appointment for next Monday but once again one stylist so they dont have an opening for morning. Would I have known this I wouldnt have purchased this. I was not expecting to wait this long for a haircut. I have never heard of a place only having one stylist available. I have a busy work and home schedule. This is very inconvenient as a full time employee and a mother of three.Now I have to go through hoops to try and get a refund from groupon (😒) so I can go and get my much needed haircut elsewhere.Will definitely look for a place where they have more than one stylist available.

I love getting my nails done by Angie, always such a huge variety of colors to choose from. The only issue I have is scheduling via text. Whoever texts me responds so unprofessionally and I felt disrespected the last time I was texting you guys. I don’t feel as if I was accommodated for properly and I don’t feel very comfortable texting there either because the online bedside manner is terrible, as is the grammar. Love the nail techs, very much dislike whoever texted me back today.

Horrible experience.I purchased a Groupon and visit Jo Chicago Salon. When I arrived the staff was friendly and I requested to be attended earlier if possible. After waiting for 10 minutes someone was able to work on my nails before the time I scheduled which it was great.I requested a french manicure and the girl was nice but 8minutes after I left the salon one of my nails peeled!! After checking all my nails closely i noticed there is a bump on the tips (This happens when you put to much nail polish). Not only that, the lines for the french are not straight at all.I contacted the business but apparently they thought i was not saying the true. PLEASE SEE MY PICTURES. i took pictures immediately to prove I am not a lier like I was told by the manager.I specifically got my nails done for a destination wedding and i can not return to the salon for 8 days. The manager refused to refund or fix my manicure unless I go to the salon within 3 days. I explained that i can not return on that time frame because I will out of town for the wedding but he refused to listen, issue a refund or fix my nails.Now, my nails look very bad, I wasted my time and I was treated very rudely by the manager.

I first heard about Jo Chicago salon on Groupon, and decided to visit three months ago. To this day, I have never seen such a professional and welcoming salon downtown with more reasonable prices. I ALWAYS get my no-chip manicure with Jennifer (such an angel) because the quality of her work is beyond exceptional. As soon as you walk in, the receptionist gives you a warm greeting, checks your coat, offers you drinks, asks your preference as to who you would like to see for your service, etc- The royal treatment! You are getting top dollar service starting from the front desk to the private VIP salon rooms. Surprisingly, the pricing is very economical, one of the many reasons why I keep on coming back. Im a nurse, so Im constantly washing my hands, using hand sanitizer, antimicrobial lotion, you name it-and I promise I have never had a more sturdy manicure than the one i get at Jos. Another plus- at least a dozen times each day, I get compliments on my nails and even refer my patients to Jo Chicago salon! Best kept secret!

My husband and I found Jos via a great Groupon deal. A lot of places treat Groupon customers differently than full paying customers - this is NOT true at Jos. Jo herself welcomed us with a smile, took our coats, got us drinks and even pulled some extra mens magazines for my husband. Our mani and pedis were thorough and relaxing. My no chip manicure looks amazing and the lady constantly stopped to ask me if I was happy with how things were looking. We will definitely be back!
