I came here about 8 months ago, and just realized that I should have written this review shortly after as a cautionary tale for other patients. Id just moved up to the neighborhood and was looking for a dentist, and visited Polished. After a checkup and x-rays they quoted me as needing 2-3 crowns and another 2 fillings. I take good care of my teeth, and had my last checkup less than a year previously. It was also a poor sign that they were not interested in explaining the x-rays to me; they simply provided me the plan and then slid to the topic of payment for the multi-thousand dollar bill.Went for a second opinion at a smaller shop, and while Polished dragged their feet in sharing the x-rays theyd taken, the new dentist eventually received them and informed me that I needed maybe one crown and one filling.Perhaps the whole dental industry inflates their quotes to wring more money out of consumers. Perhaps my teeth were a lot worse than the second dentist was willing to admit (though in the year since Ive never experienced any discomfort or sensitivity). But in any case, Polished treated me like a cash cow and Id caution any future patients to get a second opinion.

This practice is terrific ~ I am almost 70 years old and in my entire life I’ve never found a practice more considerate, knowledgeable or capable then the lead doctor and everyone who works with her.I feel very strongly about how good this place is. They are competent, considerate, and very straightforward. I am not one to write reviews about everything and my experience with this dentistry practice has been outstanding for several years now. I recommend them to others unequivocally and without hesitation.

Hello,I cant say enough praise for Dr. Trupti Desai, her staff, and her assistant Joe. I went there today due to bridge pain and Dr. Desai took such great care in explaining what needed to be done and also to make sure I was comfortable. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work but i have to say that I never feel uneasy coming to Polished and being a patient of Dr. Desai. That means so much to me and I so glad she is my dentist. I highly recommend Dr Desai and Polished!

My son was injured while playing basketball during lunch at school. They took immediate care of him that day and, again, three days later when hed noticed discoloration as a result of that injured tooth dying.The most impressive thing about their tending to his second visit?It was on Thanksgiving Day.What other doctors office does THAT?None that I know of.They were FANTASTIC and ATTENTIVE.BEST CARE ANYWHERE

Do not go here. I went to them for awhile and had several procedures done including root canals. Every procedure Ive had done from them has failed and has had to be redone.

Dr Kevin Wiseman and staff exceeded expectations through my Invisalign treatment. I do recommend researching Invisalign treatments a bit on your own to understand the day to day commitment, but they do an amazing job! My visit with them after treatment was amazing, and it’s obviously Dr Wiseman takes pride in his work and makes sure it’s perfection.

Ive been going here for a few years, but felt compelled to write a review recently.I hated to be that guy who takes a newborn in a car seat to his appointment, but had no other viable options that specific morning. Dr Desai, the hygienists, and front desk folks could not have been more helpful and understanding. They made what should have been a stressful situation into one that was cozy and comfortable. As I was having my new crown placed, they comforted my daughter when she fussed. I wanted to give them hugs on my way out.That was just one visit, but indicative of the kind of experience Im used to at the office. Their professionalism is second to none. I also like that they all have a sense of humor. It makes the appointments go by a little quicker.

Polished is a very fitting name for this dental studio. The office is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend Polished, especially if youre nervous about going to the dentist.

I am receiving my Invisalign treatment here. Dr. Wiseman has been such a great Orthodontist - he was patient and always listening to my concerns. The communication is very smooth and effective. Although I am a bit picky due to a prolonged treatment period before I started with him, he had shown great patience and real attention to my requests. Now I feel like my teeth are finally going in the right direction thanks to Dr. Wiseman’s professionalism and kind service. I strongly recommend going to see him if you want great looking teeth for a confident smile.

Dr. Desai is amazing. She tells it like it is and helped get my very sensitive teeth in a much better place and feeling a ton better.Also, Im not sure why anyone would say they dont have good customer service. I feel like the team is super friendly and accommodating even when I call last minute to cancel/move appointments because life gets busy.

Loved them!! Had wire braces for 2 years. They were always on time, knowledgeable, and super fast with all my appointments. Dr. Wiseman is awesome!! My teeth look amazing, and it was the most affordable place I found in a very long search.

We have followed Dr. Desai from practice to practice until she opened up her own location in Lakeview. She is incredibly professional, respected and friendly - someone we have trusted to call on for any dental issues or just minor cleanings. The studio space is gorgeous and always well kept and for being on Belmont Parking has never been an issue. Highly recommended!

I’m terrified of dentist! Seriously … TERRIFIED! Dark, Frankenstein-like offices, with mad scientist waving a barrage of scary devises at you. All of this, of course, after you’ve been securely strapped onto a “reclining table,” which at best, resembles a padded iron maiden … no, not the band … and all of this horror, and from a distance, you bare the sounds of “drilling”, “grinding” and the screams of other poor souls as they waft into your cell.But recently the dark clouds parted, the sun shinned through, and the heavenly gates opened, as I was introduced to, “Polished, A Dental Studio,” and the angelic, Dr. Trupti Desai.Because of an extended stay outside of the United States … and other less glamorous and nefarious events … my teeth were in serious need of examination and detailed attention, and Lo and Behold, I was fortunate enough to be directed to Polished, and I could not be any more thrilled nor fortunate. Dr. Desai, along with her wonderful team, were supportive, informative, thoroughly professional and gracious. And after a few visits … well, let’s just say a, “few” … my teeth, gums, and associated soft tissues, are not only pretty to look at, but I can chew gum, aggressively rip meat from a bone with my teeth, drink liquids without soiling my shirt, and whistle again.From the warm and genuinely congenial receptionist greeting, through my consultations, recommendations … not to mention the very catchy and toe-tapping tunes playing in the background during each visit … I’m now the owner of a beautiful and healthy smile and healthy orifice, and truly cannot recommend Polished, A Dental Studio highly enough.If you’re seriously looking for a dental office to call home, which is accommodating, personal and professional, with smiles galore, then make your appointment today to visit Polished, ask for Dr. Desai … tell her “Dr. Squeamish” sent you … and consider yourself fortunate to have found the best oral care services provider in the Chicago-land area. For someone with dentist trust issues, Dr. Desai is the one. Her team is great, too. I’ve never had an issue in the hundreds of visits at Polished.

Be skeptical of any dental office that always offers financing with your service quote!This place tried to charge my wife for unnecessary fillings 11 total, suggested getting those over wisdom teeth out. The cleaning was good but feeling ripped off after hearing another opinion and there were 3 fillings need and high priority was the wisdom teeth. Go elsewhere!!!! Fast!

I have been to several places around the Lakeview area, and I have to say that Dr. Desai and her team have been able to deliver. They wont suggest outrageous cleanings or treatments if they are not needed. The cleaning went quick and smooth, yes, she will tell you to floss! They will take the extra step to make sure that the job is well done! Her assistant took the time to fix something done by my former dentist. In and out, no outrageous fees or treatments, and they are quite friendly!

This place is amazing! All of the dentists are outstanding. I really appreciate the quality care that I receive here.

I love coming here! I used to hate coming to the dentist but Dr. Desai and the team here at Polished are great to work with. Its always comfortable and quick here, and great for long-term care.

This is a great dental office! Dr Grosse is great, I cant say enough nice things about this place. They are very accommodating with my schedule and are very affordable. Which is great since I dont have insurance! Have and will continue to recommend Dr Grosse!

Everyone at Polished is great! Dr. Desai has always taken very good care of me, and she is thorough and has a great sense of humor. All the staff are thoughtful and good listeners, always keeping in mind individual concerns.

Cleaning was good, but I need a crown on my molar. No big deal, except I was told that Dr. Grosse will ONLY do porcelain crowns. If it was a front tooth, that would make sense, but after talking to other dentists, a metal alloy would be my best option because cosmetics of a back tooth are irrelevant, I grind my teeth, and metal lasts the longest. Porcelain is prone to cracking under pressure. Therefore, the only reason I can think of why Dr. Grosse only does porcelain is because its the most expensive. Even with a great dental plan, our out-of-pocket would be almost $600. I will be getting the crown done elsewhere, with a more transparent dentist, and consider using Polished for cleaning.

Im so happy that I found Dr Desai! Im new to Chicago and was hoping to find a gentle and kind dentist who didnt make me feel too guilty about my sweet tooth. She and her staff have been wonderful on each of my visits. Im living in Roscoe Village and love how close Dr Desai is to me, plus she takes weekend appointments!

Omg I had the most awesome experience ever!!!! I dont do reviews but I had to for this clinic..:) I HIGHLY recommend this dentist office to anyone, place was clean, up to date with their tools (very clean) staff was very professional 100% satisfied.! I needed a root canal and deep cleaning all at once I just knew I had to make multiple appointments to get this done AND I DIDNT!!! They are very affordable I also just knew I was about to sell my left kidney just to pay for all this and they shocked the hell outta me! I felt no pain during my procedure Dr G and Dr Jin saved my tooth I was in that much pain I didnt care just get it out my face!! But an extraction is not always the best way to go especially when your young:) they really made me feel at ease they were very knowledgeable and professional:) 5 star dentist office!;) oh and they was very quick no wait time at all😁👌🏾

I had a braces consultation with Dr. Wiseman about a month ago. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He spoke about the braces treatment but he mostly focused on something concerning that he saw on my panoramic X-ray. Dr. Wiseman said that I need to see an oral surgeon and he refuses to start the braces treatment until I remove a wisdom tooth because he is worried about what he sees on the X-ray. At first I didn’t take that seriously but I really wanted to get those braces so I went to an oral surgeon. THANK GOD THAT I DID AS DR. WISEMAN TOLD ME!!! The surgeon said that I don’t have a problem with the wisdom tooth but I have a cyst growing next to the tooth and it is already pretty big and close to the main nerve. The treatment will be complicated and I will have to undergo two surgeries over the next few months to remove the cyst. I couldn’t be more glad that I met Dr. Wiseman now because if it wasn’t that braces consultation with him I wasn’t going to find out about the cyst until it’s too late and I have a lot more damages and complications.

Doctor DeSai was amazing, professional and friendly. Shes a keeper. Definitely going back :D

I am feeling so grateful to have found such a great dentist in Dr. Desai. I needed some serious work done right before my brothers wedding, and she fit me in to improve my smile right away. I had put off going to the dentist way too long due to some embarrassment about my poor eating habits, but I didnt feel judged in any way. She and her staff put me at ease during all of the work, and I even got to listen to some great music and watch Finding Nemo during some of it. We are still in the process of working on all of my dental issues, and she has even answered the phone to reassure me at a time when the office was closed (which is rare because they are open 7 days a week!). The office is nice and in a great location. They were willing to work with me as far as finances go too. I look forward to going in now because I always look and feel better when I leave!

They say the third times a charm..... After years of dental neglect, my mouth blew up on me this summer and I needed a lot of work done, like 7k worth. I visited two different dental offices before finding Polished and had already been approved thru Lending Club for financing, the trouble was the other offices wanted me to pay my loan off in 12/mos, I needed 24. Right off the bat Letty was incredible in understanding my financial situation and seamlessly got everything taken care of within minutes of me being there (while I had gone back and forth with the other offices for weeks). Dr. Desai came up with a treatment plan and we got started asap. She and her dental assistant Jo we great. They both had personality and a realness about them that made sitting in a chair getting your teeth drilled as pleasureable as sitting in a chair and getting teeth drilled can be. I’m normally not that kinky but I was into it lol jk. But in all seriousness they do incredible work. Not only will they get your smile on point, they are also genuine people. They have a family vibe. They’ve totally won me over.

Went in for routine dental work. They said that I needed to get two crowns. After the first two they wanted me to get a third! Simultaneously I heard the dentist telling the patient in the next room she needed a crown as well with the same sales pitch! Stay away, they will rip you off!!

Dr Grosse has been my dentist for several years and she is amazing. She straightened my teeth with invisalign and now I am really proud of my smile! Over the years I have needed everything from fillings to root canals and they were done efficiently and painlessly! Also, Dr Grosse does same day crowns so I dont have too make a second appointment like I did at my other dentist. I recommend Dr Grosse to all my friends and family and will continue to do so!

DO NOT USEI purchased an Invisalign for my wife couple months ago through Groupon and using Polished for over $2k.The Invisalign treatment was great! Its the service and the attitude at Polished that is not on point and very disappointing.When we first paid they said at the end of the treatment you will have to pay $500 for a retainer. At the end of the treatment they ended up charging us $550, I guess one of their doctor moved out of town and they decided $550 is the new price.So we paid $550 and moved out of town to sunny California and kindly asked Polished to mail us the retainer ( Something that seems very easy)After 2 weeks of email back and forth( Very unprofessional and unpolite email) with their staff asking for tracking information, we eventually got a tracking#.1) Tracking shows a wrong address2) Package was never tendered to USPS since it has not been moving for the last 4 days.3) Polished is very confused and does not know if package was shipped or lost. They act like they are a HUGE corporation with hundreds of employees and cannot locate things. Each time I went there there were about 2-3 employees in the location!! So you would think it would be easy to locate things and ask your 2 co-workers to find a retainer.So here we are 2 weeks after the retainer was received by Polished, still no idea of what is happening.Please do not use Polished, there are plenty of professional and friendly places to give business to.I will update this review as soon as we reach a resolution hopefully sooner than later.

I had initially come in for a crown on a chipped tooth. I was not impressed that my dentist dr. Grosse, was nowhere to be seen, I mostly dealt with her assistant and secretary, the dentist finally made an appearance to drill down my tooth and promptly left. She did not assist in the placement of the crow, and was not really available. But none the less I continued and my tooth was fixed….I am new to Chicago and although I had reservations about my first visit. I thought it unfair to hold the dentist and practice to my previous standard and move forward. I went again to complete the crown for the chipped tooth.I was then told to come in for a third time for a further three crowns!!! I asked dr. Grosse if this was necessary, could she take a less invasive more conservative approach i.e. a filling? Things went south and weird really quick. She told me this was impossible and had her assistant and secretary come to the room to berate me!Verbatim: “this is disrespectful the dr has already gone through the procedure and feels like she has explained enough why you need three crowns, this is like any other relationship girlfriend, husband, wife you need trust, go get a 2nd opinion just like you would if a dr. had diagnosed you with cancer!!”...I thought this very unprofessional and condescending being schooled about life and relationships by a secretary, while laying down on a dentist chair.Dr Grosse and her receptionist make you feel like you’re at a car mechanics, hard selling the most invasive / costly procedures and offered me financing option when I winced at the prescribed treatment plan and cost!!Maybe she is different to other patients, but at NO point during my three visits did I feel like her primary objective was my well being. This is a dentist centered practice NOT a patient centered practice.Also side note the receptionist tried to have me pay before the procedures which in hindsight should have been a red flag and not entered. And all the rooms are not separated you can hear everything that is going on to the left and right of you.
