My son has been at Wee Care for 10 months now and he (we) absolutely love it there! He starts babbling and kicking his feet every time I turn on to Pine Grove because he’s so excited to be with his friends and teachers!

I cannot recommend this school highly enough. My children have attended Wee Care on Pine Grove for the last 4 years, and both started in the infant room at three months old. We toured the school with Ms. Ramona and knew immediately that it was the right place for our kids. The wonderful experiences we’ve had over the past four years provide daily confirmation that we made the right choice. Ramona, Elizabeth and all the teachers care deeply about the children, and go above and beyond to provide a fun, nurturing environment. We especially appreciate the extra precautions the school has taken in the last year to keep families safe, but also to provide some much needed normalcy for our kids during a challenging year.

My son attended Wee Care at the Broadway location from age 8 months to 27 months and we had such a great experience. Compared to a previous daycare, we loved the individualized attention, the smaller class sizes, and quieter atmosphere. Ms. Elizabeth and Ms. Angela are amazing and extremely communicative, and his teachers were just the sweetest! We felt a real sense of community with other parents at Wee Care too. During the pandemic, Wee Care was very serious about adhering to CDC guidelines and implementing strict health and safety policies which we appreciated. It was a difficult decision to send our son back to daycare during the pandemic, but their safety protocols made us feel comfortable to go back. I am grateful to Wee Care for the individualized care they provided to our son. Leaving Wee Care was one of the hardest things about our move out of state.

Finding the right daycare for your child is not easy, especially when it is your first. There are so many options out there that it can become overwhelming. I did my research and met with 5+ daycares and of all the options I felt best with WeeCare on Broadway. Ms. Angela met my husband and I before operating hours to give us a tour of the facility and a sense of comfort. Our daughter started as a student at 3 months and has evolved into a social active butterfly. All of the infant room teachers, Ms. Jasmine, Melissa, Maria, and Isela are so wonderful with our daughter. There are daily pictures posted, weekly activities and outdoor walks if the weather permits. We are only leaving this establishment because we are relocating to the suburbs and I almost contemplated reverse communicating we love this place so much. If you are looking for a safe, nurturing, fun, active and attentive daycare for your child then look no further than WeeCare Broadway! Hats off to Ms. Elizabeth and Ms. Angela for running such a great place! We will truly miss being apart of the community.

Wee Care is just the best. The picture I posted is of my shy daughter at a Chinese New Year Festival they had in her class. Being at Wee Care made her ready for Kindergarten. I did black out other kids because I am not sure people like seeing their kids on the internet but I want to share because Wee Care helped us so much to be ready for anything... even online Kindergarten. I just cannot express enough that Wee Care is not a preschool based on Stem or Technology or any fad. Wee Care is based on loving kids, taking good care of kids and having kids learn by having fun. I really hope if you are considering a daycare/ preschool you go meet them and consider one of their locations.

This is hands down the best preschool in the city. My daughter has attended the Lakeview/Broadway location for the last few years and loved it so much that she would ask everyday, even the weekends, if she was going to school. Now as a (recent)5 year old, she is further than some of her other pre-K/kindergarten peers and is even ready to start reading. Ms Elizabeth and Ms Angela are fantastic directors and a great reference for parents. All of my daughters teachers were exemplary. At the age of 2, and just a short time after starting at WeeCare, they recognized that my daughter was a bit delayed in her speech. Something as a first time mom with no reference would have realized as quickly. Within 2 weeks they had me connected with a speech therapist who would come to the school and help my daughter. How amazing that with her fantastic teachers and the staff there, my little girl did not fall behind but end up excelling. For anyone considering a preschool in the Lakeview area, this is the place to go.

We have sent our two children to Wee Care on Pine Grove for the past 2.5 years and can not say enough good things! My daughter started at 20 months and my son later at 3 months, and they have received the most wonderful care in each phase of their lives. The owners and teachers have provided a fun and educational environment that fosters creativity, learning and inclusion. My four-year-old daughter comes home with new lessons, Spanish words, games and songs daily and the school fosters a real sense of community among parents and students. During the COVID-19 lockdown, they were very communicative and re-opened with strict policies and procedures in place. They have continued to ensure safety protocols are strictly followed that made us feel safe sending our children back into their care. I am so thankful that we found Wee Care and wouldnt be leaving if we werent moving out of state!

We had an extremely positive experience at Wee Care. Our first child started there at 15 months and we could not be happier with how well he transitioned. The teachers were so wonderful and enthusiastic. Even at such a young age he developed great friendships with the other children. Our second started in the infant room at 3 months and we always felt so comfortable knowing he was being so well cared for. We always felt the director and all staff truly listened and cared about any concerns or development milestones we were working on. Due to moves and other changes we have been to quite a few daycare centers and this has been by far the best experience for us. We cannot recommend Wee Care highly enough!

My son was at Wee Care for about 3 years. We had a very positive experience. The teachers treated him like one of their own. He talks about it every time we drive past. He says he “misses his old school.” When we go to the zoo he says “we used to take walks here when I was at my old school.” He has very fond memories of being there. I would recommend Wee Care to anyone who inquired.

Not a customer but have a terrible story about my visit to the Broadway location. When I arrived a teacher let me and a man in right behind me. I made it very clear to the teacher that I was there for a tour and I did not know this man. She didn’t either and said she assumed he is a parent as he walked right by us into a classroom in the back. No follow up, just let a man she didn’t know into the daycare. When the site director was not available to meet me at that moment (I was a bit late) the teacher left me alone in the hallway. She didn’t know who I was nor did she make a connection to the site director, just left me in the hallway, alone. That’s 2 quick strikes around security and I know I’d never be able to shake that impression so I left and will not pursue this as a daycare option for my family. The director called to follow up to tell me that I had misinterpreted the situation... thanks for the quick follow-up but no thanks.

We had our now nearly 3 year old son at Wee Care on Broadway for a year up until 3 weeks ago due to moving away! We especially him were sad to say goodbye. Our experience was amazing in that year! He developed so much and he loved going. The Director Elizabeth made it a great ease for us and our son. We even got friends to take their kids to Wee Care and we really do miss taking our son to Wee Care.

We could not recommend Wee Care enough. Our son Aiden started there at 2. He had never really spent much time away from us and had a lot of separation anxiety if we left him with other people. We were worried about him starting Preschool. The teachers at Wee Care handled the transition perfectly and within a few days he was well settled in. The Director-Ms. Elizabeth-is very approachable with a wonderful way with children. Everything is done very professionally and the facility is immaculately clean. Your child will be very happy at Wee Care.

As a former teacher, it was important to me to find the best environment for her to grow and learn! I am so happy I chose Wee Care for my daughter 2.5 years ago. I cant keep up with the rate in which she is learning! At 3.5 years old she is writing, can count as high as she cares to and her vocabulary is amazing. Little things like coloring inside the lines and big things like reading site words and using that ability to sound out words she doesnt recognize. She interacts so well with the other kids, both older and younger and loves waking up going to school!I can not thank Ms. Perceilla and Ms. Krystal enough for their influence on my daughter! Everyone from the director to all of the teachers along the way have been like family. As a single parent living in the big city, Wee care has gone above and beyond with helping in anyways that they can. Tears come to my eyes when thinking about how grateful I am for finding this loving family. The compassion they show towards the kids when they are sick or having a tough day emotionally is incredible. They have been encouraging and excited about every milestone that my daughter has reached from crawling to walking to talking to being potty trained to reading & writing! Definitely give them a call and check it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed :)

We love Wee Care! My daughter attended there from 18 months to 3.5 years old, and my son started in the newly opened infant room at 3 months and is still attending there at 2.5 years old. The teachers are nice and truly care for each child. The directors, Elizabeth and Ramona (mother - daughter), are so wonderful and friendly. If theres ever any issue, they address it with kindness and compassion. What I like best is that they are very flexible and will work with you (within reason) to meet your needs. Whenever I pick up my son now, I ask if he had fun at school today, and he always says yeah! (And sometimes he doesnt even want to leave). I always take that as a good sign. :-) We would recommend Wee Care to anyone.

Wee Care Preschool has been an extension of our family for over 7 years with our 7, 3, & 2 year old children. Our children have grown in an environment at Wee Care that fosters academics, foreign language, music, dance, acting class / dramatic play, and offers additional sports and fitness classes where an instructor comes to the school weekly for an extra fee (no more driving to weekend classes). We have always felt that our children are truly cared for by the teachers and staff as family members and believe that Wee Care is in the industry for the genuine right reasons. You will not find a better day care service in the city with this value. We would highly recommend the services that Wee Care Preschool can provide to your family.

We absolutely loved this daycare! Amazing owners and teachers, always made our son feel very safe, secure and included. This daycare was like an extension of our family opposed to a childcare facility. Our son loved it here, and Wee Care helped develop our son into the open, fun loving child he is today. Would highly recommend!!

My family is a Wee Care family. My siblings and I all attended Wee Care at different times since the early 90s. In all that time, what we love about it and what keeps us coming back is the staff and environment. When you attend Wee Care, you are treated like family. Wee Care provides a safe and loving environment for children. My hope is that one day I will be able to send my kids to Wee Care so that they can create the same memories me and my siblings have over the years.

I have had two daughters attend Wee Care. One started at age 3 and the other at 18 months. I can honestly say that our family has loved our experience at Wee Care. We still consider the Director and staff at Wee Care to be family. The staff at Wee Care are very experienced. They treat the children with kindness and care. My children learned a great deal while attending the school. I would recommend Wee Care to any family that is looking for an environment that is nurturing and safe. Wee Care provides healthy lunches and snacks. The Director is one of the kindest women who you will ever meet. She cares about her staff and every family that is enrolled. She is sensitive to financial concerns that families face and she makes every effort to keep costs down. I would recommend Wee Care without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good things about them - from the amazing owners, mother and daughter team, Ramona and Elizabeth, to the wonderful, kind, supportive and fun staff! I felt completely at ease running off to work everyday because I knew my daughter was safe, happy, having fun and learning. My daughter has now moved on to Kindergarten and we miss everyone, but, we know in our hearts that WeeCare will always be our very first Chicago family!

Unfortunately if it were possible to give zero stars, I would. This preschool is problem-ridden. I should have know originally when on our tour of the school my husband and I witnessed multiple teachers yell at and berate young children (this became a daily thing). I think at the time we thought it must have been a stressful day, they seemed low on staff. The director seemed so nice and the price was lower than every other school we had seen. I should have listened to my original mommy instinct about this place. It is honestly appalling that these people think they are caring for children. I promise Im not one to be terribly picky or negative. I thought about leaving the school and just never looking back but I could not get the other children out of my mind. I know I couldnt live with myself knowing how many children are being mistreated and poorly cared for each day. They are constantly understaffed with teachers being left with way too many children. The school its self is not taken care of and the staff is poorly trained. When I went to pick up my child it happened to be lunch time. I walked into a classroom of children eating half a sandwich on white bread (looked like their was one piece of meat in each sandwich-nothing else) and french fries. Again I should have figured when they said they provide everything yet their prices are so low that they had to be cutting costs somewhere. Im not an expert on the standards of preschool but Im going to guess this preschool is failing or just very good at hiding their many malfeasance. I highly recommended that parents give a more in-depth look into their childs day at this school.

We had our son at this school for roughly four months and removed him due to several issues. I have to say, I am rather shocked because this places has good reviews on Yelp and has been around for 30 years. Instead of writing an write an epic story I will simply bullet point our issues:-Lack of communication to the parents. I couldnt consistently know if my son ate or how/if he napped or how he behaved. Sometimes the teacher who was there in the morning wasnt there in the afternoon and I would never know what happened that day or how he had been. There was rarely a menu posted in our sons classroom, so I never knew what kind of food they were feeding him. The days were a mystery to us. On the first day I dropped him off, I didnt know he was supposed to have a set of sheets, a second set of clothes. I also didnt know until 2/3 months in that kids werent allowed to have their own water bottles in the room (they were kept out of reach of the kids if parents brought them). None of this was ever communicated to us until we either needed them or asked. I feel these are pretty basic and standard pieces of information to communicate to parents.-Yelling teachers. On multiple accounts I saw and heard teachers yelling at two year olds. One time the teacher was yelling at the child to stop whining and that he was annoying her. This was two days before I pulled my son out of the daycare. The next day I watched 2 teachers scream at a child for acting out. Yes, scream. That day my son didnt want to stay at the school and I didnt blame him. As soon as I could leave for the day from my job, I picked him up and never went back.-Not changing diapers appropriately. The day I pulled my son out, I spoke with the Director regarding the teachers who were yelling at the kids. She then immediately went and spoke to them (which was not ideal since they obviously knew it was me, since I was the only parent there at the time). That day when i came early to pick up my son at 1:30, my son was STILL in the diaper I had dropped him off in which was dirty and filled with wood chips and debris. It was so gross and horrifying. That was the final straw and an example of the negligence of the teachers here. I am not sure if it was retaliation from the teachers who were reprimanded, but it sure if so, thats awful and if not, then its horrific negligence.-Lack of accountability of the teachers. The Director is there, but doesnt seem to check in on the behavior/teaching methods of the teachers. Teachers take children on trips to the park. A neighbor of ours observed my sons class and saw that only 1 of 4 teachers was paying attention to the 20+ kids at the playground. The one teacher who was paying attention was clearly stressed out and apparently yanking the kids around aggressively by the arms. (to this day, my son talk about her and says Miss (Teachers name) is ANGRY! I actually didnt even know this teachers name except for the fact that even know, three months later, he still talk about this teacher being angry.-Cleanliness/Sanitation. Things always seemed very dirty. With how often our son came home sick (which was about every other week) I question how often they sanitized the rooms and the toys.-If our son ever came with a cold, there were NEVER Kleenex to be found, only rough paper towels.I wouldnt recommend this place.

My husband and I were so thrilled to enroll our daughter at Wee Care Preschool, once she turned 15 months (at that time, they didnt have an infant room). She stayed there until leaving for Kindergarten this past year. While there, we grew to love the teachers, the staff and the facility more than we imagined. While many of our friends complained about turnover at their daycares, it was a comfort that Wee Care had very minimal turnover. I am truly amazed at the education my daughter received. She learned to write, read, spell words, do simple mathematics, speak Spanish and Chinese, all during her time at Wee Care.Unfortunately during our time at Wee Care, our family suffered a personal tragedy, with my husband passing away unexpectedly. The staff and families of Wee Care were beyond wonderful and extremely supportive, during this time. They embraced us, making us feel loved and cared for; like family. We feel so fortunate to have them as part of our life. Needless to say, it was a bittersweet good-bye, leaving the comforts of Wee Care, to move on to Kindergarten. We miss our extended family and a place that felt like home.

I really liked the school when we started. Teachers in the class were good, although food quality was always bad. We had to provide our own food since they dont give any breakfast or evening snacks. The only thing they give is same crackers. All parents have to provide there own snacks because of that. They opened a new class for infants and took a room which crammed up the school even more. They dont have good air conditioning. It always feels suffocating in there. They are so crowed they leaves kids playing almost any where.I went by the reviews here, but I would not recommend this school. They are cheap but not worth it for your kids.
