They provide a safe, secure community for several hundred seniors. Common areas appear well kept. Dining room menu selection does appear to be dwindling some; residents have kitchens within their apartments. Maintenance is available for needed repairs. Checking in for visitors is challenging since Covid. Ive stood in line for several minutest to access the check in station. A second station would go a long way to move things along. But all in all, this is a very good facility; you can be at peace knowing that your senior loved one is in a safe place....

My 97 year old mother has been in Assisted Living for 3 months. She loves it!!! I cannot believe how happy she is. She loves her room, adores the staff, has no complaints about the food. Moving her here was the best move we could have made. She constantly tells me that she feels like she is on vacation. I feel so good knowing that she is happy and well taken care of.

Had a wonderful meeting and tour with Sue Lazars. She is very much knowledgeable and brought some comfort to a difficult life decision.

I was given a tour today for my mother who is moving back to Chicago from Florida. Sue showed us the open access areas, different apartments and spiritual sites. She is a wealth of information and I felt took that extra moment to be empathetic and kind. This is a beautiful facility and the plans are moving along to move mom in. The residents we encountered appeared to be very happy. We know this is the perfect place for mom.

This is a great place for a single person who does not want to be alone or a couple who wants the freedom of owning a home .My maternal Aunt had live here for about 18 years. My Mom has been here for about 14 years. Place is clean and bright with things to do with entertainment for all. They have card games of all types, movie night and other activities, like Wii bowling leagues.They just remodeled each floor. The one I saw, they used a grey brick on one of the walls but it doesnt feel warm & welcoming. The food though is a hit or miss. Sometimes it is good and other times not sure what it is. Met with the person in charge of feeding the residents. Unfortunately not impressed with his attitude & righteousness.

Everyone in the staff has been pleasant to work with, very responsive and helpful. The facility is well maintained - including the landscaping and beautiful grotto. Love sitting on the balcony and enjoying the summer.

Susan, who gave me a tour was great. Very knowledgeable and understanding of my need to go slow and sit down occasionally.The facility is very warm and inviting. The renovation of units is fabulous. I like all the available activities and options. The price is very affordable too. Lovely experience.

As an RN I appreciate the precautions you have taken to protect your patients, visitors , and staff. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind.

We had a lovely time talking about the relationship between the residents and New Hope Community Food Pantry. The residents of Resurrection are sustaining donors to the neighborhood food pantry. The residents asked great questions ; it was fun to be able to visit after everything has been closed down for so long.Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

I visited my friend and found her one bedroom unit comfortable and clean with a nice balcony and a lovely garden area for sitting outside. Staff and residents seemed very friendly and helpful. Safety was an important concern.

My aunt, and my uncle and my mother all live here, as well as my sister in laws godmother. They are thriving and enjoy everything about Ascension Living Resurrection. Its a lovely safe place with beautiful grounds and pleasant helpful caring staff.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. While it has been frustrating to not see my mother during the pandemic, their policy has kept everyone safe! And now I get to visit her and she is well and happy. I could not have taken better care of her myself. She has caring staff, a beautiful apartment, bingo and the library, and she gets to have her afternoon meal with her friends.

Resurrection Ascension living has done an incredible job and effort by everyone from the top office managers to the caretakers and maintenance staff in keeping my Mother In Law and everyone else safe and Healthy. Also, moving her cousin into the same wing only 3 rooms apart, has made her cousin’s transition to assisted Living center very easy.

The place looks nice & the employees are friendly, they take good care of my grandmother & they monitor her health.

We were very happy with our tour today. Sue was great to work with and answered all of our questions patiently. My mom is so excited to move in. I know she will be very happy there!

A wonderful place! Thank goodness that the Covid isolation is over. While I greatly appreciate them keeping my mom safe, the isolation was awful. Now that things are cautiously opening up, the activities that they residents greatly need will open again.

The facility has done an amazing job throughout the pandemic. They continue to be very cautious while reopening! They should win many awards!! I give credit where credit is due. Thank you to the staff, caregivers, families, therapists. Were all in this together!

My mom moved here earlier this year after living alone in a house in Portage Park for a year after my dad died. She loves it here! Shes a very social person and she can go to the common areas whenever she wants to talk to people. Everyone is very friendly and the food served at dinner is much better than I expected.

Very nice place. Good, friendly, caring staff. Great rehab therapists. Fun activities and food is pretty good too.

The walls are bare, the furniture’s gone.I’m sitting on the last packing box saying goodbye.It has been 9 wonderful years. I’ve loved them all.Living up here in the treetops, with birds, squirrels, and sky.Facing north and west, I watched all the storms.Lightning flashing, thunder crashing, trees awhirl.Rain drumming on the balcony, winds whistling.Captivated by storms as they moved across my world.The full moon shone in as it sailed west to bed.Sprinkling moon dust on me in the magic night.And grateful to watch god paint the sunsets.They’d last past 9, a glorious summer sight.My neighbors were sociable, ready for fun.The annual Christmas party always had wine.The busy decorator kept the elevator area bright.And cards in the 6th floor lounge, a favorite of mine.But a funny thing happened these past few years.Surprisingly, I got old. So it’s A-605 goodbye.I’ve found a good place to live out my time.Here’s hoping the new tenant loves A-605 as much as I.

My 94yr old aunt lives here. This is a great place for older adults. Staff goes out of way to help make this a warm and happy home.

Horrible , horrible food rude General manager and awful upkept units , very expensive as well the prices go up every year , and tenants are forced to pay for the awful food my mom threw out every day, thank goodness she found a better cleaner place. The lied and said they had a checking system daily to ensure tenants were ok , but its not true my mom was laying on the ground almost all day with a broken hip , luckily her friend had come over and was knocking and heard my mom.
