This place is the worst of worst. I thought they are suppose to help the patients in the facility. Neglect and abuse at its best. The state needs to shut the place down. I gave it one star to be able to put a review up. They dont deserve that. The man that runs it is disrespectful . Im asking God to give me a place to move my family member to.

This dump does not even deserve the option of a star. California Gardens is a mixture of a mental institution slash prison. There is nothing nursing about this place. It’s loud, reeks of urine and feces, cigarettes. There is always someone begging outside and inside of the building. The staff here is a complete joke. The way half of the staff is dress is beyond me. The attentiveness to the patient / resident is just plain awful. Every time I go to visit a loved one it’s the same old scene everyone doing a whole lot of nothing. The place is filthy! There is no peace in that place no order. The people who work there I do not believe they genuinely care they are just there for a check. They staff literally act their wage. I’m sure they are underpaid which is why they don’t do their job. Security to me is a big issue someone I love stays there n I can walk in and out of there like I ones business people come in and out don’t get searched it’s just plain insane. I do understand a lot of the people there probably don’t have the financial means to be anywhere else but everyone deserves to be treated like a human being. It’s so funny how they have a photo of whoever on the wall and make it look fine and dandy but once you come past the double doors all hell breaks loose . I will be calling inspectors because I’m sure there are many violations and safety hazards in that building

I use to be a resident of California gardens for 2 1/2 yrs the years I was there I was treated with no respect by the administrator office especially the D.O.N she had no respect for me the half of the residents always drunk no linen towels food was terrible elevators never work half of my clothes came up stolen and they banned me from the building with no explanation y they should close that place down for what its worth I think the CNAs n nurses deserve a raise for the dam good job there doing. I recommend whoever wanna works there to RUN FOR UR LIFE IF U WANNA LIVE !!!!!!!!!

Seriously smells so bad, the place doesnt look like its been cleaned in months. the nurses who are suppose to help ppl are seen all around just sitting on their phones. Poor patients share rooms with 3 other ppl there is no peace or comfort!!nurses yell at the patients.the whole place needs shut down. elevators smell so bad of urine. If i could give zero stars i would.. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!

The facility should close. Many nurses and staff are insensitive to the needs of the residents. They smoke and are on their phones often. Administration does not deal with your concerns. The website is a farce.

Walkin in the the first floor it took 15min to get on to the elevator. The elevator was very hot and over crowded. People crying on each floor.

Still have not heard back from them about my electric wheelchair. After over about 2yrs. No report.should drug test the staff. It will open your eyes.

My mother was in there for four days lost weight there’s no phone’s in the resident rooms there’s no towels no soap or television the staff sits down all day the CNA’s & RN’s are not doing there jobs they’re just getting a free paycheck my mom is a feeder she needed to be feed no one would do it she had a very bad stroke & was bleeding on the brain that left her right side hand & speech none functional every time I would visit her as soon as I got off work to go feed her she was starving me and my aunts where up there daily every day if you love your love ones I’m begging you never to take them here this facility is disgusting there selling lose cigarettes & drugs the meals aren’t enough for the residents I had to tell the staff that a resident was hanging out the bed she was screaming for help and her room was right at the nurse’s station while they stood there I’m confused on how the state has not closed this facility down there basically housing homeless people but majority of the people there are drug addicts & mental illness there’s no treatment going on in there she was only there for therapy and hadn’t seen a physical therapist I discharged my mom on the fourth day every time you would ask any of the staff a question they response was I don’t know

Worst place to send your love ones fr! Patients sleeping in a room that smells like urine no sheets on the bed. Just horrible and staff is a joke fr! Heartless

Under staffed. Employees do what they want no supervised to make sure they working. Residents are left dirty and sometimes dont even eat. The weekends are the worst. Underpaid and over worked.

Elevators don’t work most of the time. Three floors of residents how will they get out if there were a fire. There is not enough staff. Smells of urine all the time. Poor follow up on everything!!!

Sam Perkins does not deserve to still be working at this facility.

This is nothing but hell at the maximum expression.
