My mom was sent here for physical therapy. The nurse told her she couldnt use the restroom when she needed to. When they finally decided to take her to the restroom - they never went back to get her. She was in the bathroom for 2 hours before she finally crawled out on her own. The staff here are not responsive and sit around talking to each other. They do NOT provide adequate care. This place is dangerous and should be shut down.

Man this place must be going down hill really fast. My mother got left on the toilet for two hours. The doctor was saying toilets are not designed for that and the seat could cut off circulation to her legs putting her at significant risk. They are not providing safe care at this facility.

My mom left because she heard people calling for help, climbed into a wheel chair and wheeled past a bunch of staff that were completely ignoring the people calling for help. Dont allow anyone you care about to end up in this facility.

I use to love Surrey place work ther for 19 years.. I loss my job over my evaluation papers. They stated I was in fulltime plus my raises are on there to.. my supervisor signed and I have to sign. Every employee does so you can get your raise..but iam told that a mistake was made by the supervisor I was not fulltime at all you made this mistake for 3 years..Im not under standing this is not my fault but I get blame..h.r. came over with a nasty attitude towards me.. the administrator got involved but didnt even fInd out what was going on plus employee look up my medical records while iwas under the care of the medical director thats against the law. But did they care I was very hurt by this Ive even asked to talk to the president of st.luks deny every time I was not allowed to file a grievance not fair my be because Im black the rules are not important for. Me privacy rights st.lukes dont care.. at the end of the day nobodys playing with other employees pay and evaluate papers why me I worked hard for 19 years the administrator Susan no body is giving her fake evaluation papers do her wrong .oh I for got she whit black folks dont have rights so so sad experience I should have sued.. you no what I would have won because she signed the papers and mess up my pension I could owe money for this but dont nobody care..very on fair to employees wrong is wrong tammy no she wrong all I can do is pray on this place that destroyed myife

I spent a week rehabing at Surrey Place. The nurses, therapy personnel, and techs were very friendly, attentive, and professional. I have nothing but positive comments about my stay there.

I am so grateful to the kind and generous staff and patients of Surrey Place for making my recovery from surgery and the use of my knee a tolerable experience. Surrounding me with friendly, sympathetic encouragement while ensuring my safety in movement was precisely what I needed. The physical therapy staff and nursing personnel worked diligently with me to get my knee moving. The music therapists provided beautiful music and singing. They were a really marvelous part of the total skilled nursing staff. Kudos to the dining room and kitchen personnel for providing a lovely setting in which to make friends at Surrey Place! I am so glad I chose to come here instead of returning home from the hospital. The pain I incurred from total knee replacement was intense and Surrey Place has the professional staff required to gently ease me back into safely walking again. Thanks ever so much Surrey Place.

My mother was a rehab patient at Surrey for 3 months after a stroke. She loved it there, the staff treated her like their family. It had the feeling of being at a resort with the beautiful stone work, and fireplaces. She wasnt able to walk, or do anything on her own. With the amazing therapy staff they got her back into shape. Before she left, she could walk, take herself to the bathroom, and dress herself all on her own. I would 100% recommend Surrey Place to anyone needing rehab care.

In the beginning I was fighting to go home for rehab...I now realize there is No Way I would have made the progress post surgery that I was able to achieve at US News highly rated Physical Therapy at Surrey Place had I gone straight home. Food service was excellent...I have the photo journal for support!!!... Staff were caring and encouraging. My table mates helped to make my time away from home a Funship Surrey Adventure ....”shhhh I don’t know if we are to be having this much fun being here for Therapy”The facility is showing age...but I really wasn’t there for the decor ...Highly recommended.

My grandpa was at Surrey Place for rehab - If I were to rate the therapy dept, it would be by far a 5 star review. From the very beginning at time of therapy evaluation to his discharge, the therapy staff went above and beyond. My grandpa had nothing but great things to say about therapy (other than how much they wore him out :) ) However, since this is a review for the facility as a whole, Im going to average it out and give it 3 stars only because I dont want to disregard the fact that they have a great therapy dept. The nursing care is awful. Short staffed and clearly flustered each time I was there. Cant say I blame them with the amount of work probably placed on them, but it reflects poorly on customer service. My grandpa had to wait long periods of time to have his call light answered multiple times while I was there. Medications were not given even close to the time they were suppose to on numerous occasions and some of the nurses were extremely rude and disrespectful. I spoke to a nurse manager regarding one of my concerns (dont remember her name) and she was clearly not interested in my concern and I appeared to just be an inconvenience to her day.By the way, Im pretty sure that at least a few of these 5 stars of the previous reviews are employees of Surrey Place, so take some of those reviews as you will.

Surrey Place is great! As a Healthcare provider we refer many of our clients here for rehab ! They do a great job at getting you where you need to be!

Staff is incompetent they do not return phone calls that you not answer questions. I would not recommend this place for anyone

My Mom was at Surrey Place for 4years in the Special Care Unit. She was very happy at Surrey. Everyone treated her like family. The care shereceived by the Nurses and CNAs was wonderful. We had a great experience.

The most racist place Ive ever worked at. They said things to me that is got to be illegal to say to an employee.

My father was a patient at Surrey Place for a 3 week rehab stay and he got very good care. All members of the Surrey Place team were very kind, caring and understanding of what he was going through. The nursing staff was always ontop of his care and ready to assist him with anything and the the therapy team worked very hard with him to get stronger. I would definately bring him back to Surrey Place if needed.

My mom spent her last few months here. Everytime I visited her, she was always seemed sad. When they didnt know what to do with her for a hour or two they would just park her on the side of the hallway and walk away. I wanted the best for my mom and they didnt give 100 percent

Surrey Place is by far the best rehab my husband has experienced. He has Parkinsons and everyone from the front office to the CNAS, RNS, to the techs, maintenance are terrific. Everyone is friendly, happy, willing to help, go the extra mile for all. The PT, OT, and NP and Dr. Are excellent. The dining room experience is EXCELLENT. The food is outstanding offering several choices, and if not that can choose from a hard menu, soup, sandwich, salad bar. Servers are fast, efficient, smiling and willing to serve. The chief chef is one of a kind, walks arou d during meals to make sure everything is to your liking. If you are looking for a place for your loved one where you can have piece if mind knowing meds and all care is superior..SURREY PLACE should be your choice. My mother was at surrey place one day and we had to get her out of there. The facility is out dated and air conditioning was horrible in the 2012 heat wave. some staff were nice but other seemed bothered to be there and not organized. Given its location in a very nice suburb of St Louis and affiliation with a good hospital, it was quite a let down. There are nicer places in the vicinity.

My mother needed a ride home today. I pulled in to the patient pick up. I then spoke to the lady at the front desk. Let her know that I was picking up my mother.I preceded to to her room. It was broadcast through the Facility for me to move my truck. 3 times within 1 minute !! Im thinking it was probably a ambulance . So I went to move the truck. When I got out side too my amazement. It was a worker for surrey place wanting to park close.So He did not want too walk to far. I was made to move!!!! So he could get through. all the while my handicap mother is waiting to get in the truck. How rude & negligent

If I could rate it any lower I would, expotentially horrible, Id commit suicide before I let anyone put me there, the staff has zero!!! 0 knowledge, worst expierence ever!
