This is a great facility with a wonderful management team. What I loved most about The Terrace is how welcoming everyone was. The encouragement and support received from management along with the vibrant personalities of the residents definitely made the good days outweigh the bad. There have been many negative reviews in the past but the Executive Director they have now is wonderful. Not only is she a team player by coming in and helping out when staffing has been short but she is also very understanding. She is non-judgmental and she forgives her staff when they make mistakes but she also give them the opportunities to learn from those mistakes. The grass is not always greener on the other side. I miss working here and if ever given the opportunity to come back then there would definitely not be enough words to express my gratitude. I miss being apart of The Terrace because the people weren’t just only co-workers or residents, they became family. This is definitely the place to bring your loved one if you want them to receive the best care in a beautiful facility with reasonable prices.

Seemed like a great place for my mom until she fell before she was able to move in, and we discovered she has a brain tumor, requiring her to go to a nursing home. When I notified Stacey the next business day from signing the papers, that the $1600 a month that my mom could afford wasnt going to be enough to provide the care she would need, they cashed the $1000 Community Fee check at the bank counter. Ive tried working with them to get a refund of the last of the money my mom has, but they require a interview with my mom. I explained that the nursing home has Covid restriction in place, that I cant visit her in Louisiana, and had the doctors assessment faxed over showing her need for higher level care, but they wont compromise. They are really nice until there is a problem then you see who they really are. Any company the size as this that holds onto $1000 as tight as they do, I wonder about their financial situation.

The Terrace has had its ups and downs over the years but recent changes have definitely put it on the up. There is wonderful attention to residents needs and extreme caution to keep the community healthy during Covid. Communication with administrators has been excellent and I have appreciated being a part of identifying my mothers needs and developing a plan to make sure they are met.

Justin has helped our family so much. The process was very smooth and easy. Even though our move in has been delayed, we are sitting on ready when the time comes. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions thoroughly.

My mother moved to The Terrace almost 6 years ago. Her decision to move there was heavily influenced by the beautiful setting at the foot of the mountain, nestled among the trees, and the large size of her apartment. During these years there have been many changes, with some ups and downs. One thing that has always remained consistent though has been the care given by the staff. They have always been attentive, so caring and patient, some going above and beyond. One change has been the beautiful remodeling of all the common areas. There is a new director who served in another capacity at The Terrace, so she already knows it. She told me she loves it there and plans on staying the rest of her career. I feel it will be very good to have this continuity, and she’s moving things in the right direction. I have had occasions to deal with her a few times, and she’s very receptive to any problem you may have and tries to find a solution. My mom is very happy at The Terrace. As her daughter, living 700 miles away, I feel very comfortable with her being there. The nurses are always in contact with me if anything happens. I feel she gets the care, love and attention she needs.

Please take the time to check out The Terrace. They have struggled in the past but with new management & staff it is a great place for your loved ones who need 24 hour memory care or an apartment with minimal help. We moved my mom here in February 2020 and were completely satisfied with the care she is receiving. She is in the memory care unit where she is loved and cared for everyday. I feel like the staff there really do love her.

Our mom has been in memory care at The Terrace for several months, and we couldnt be more pleased. In fact, we were sold on The Terrace the first time we toured. We looked at one other local, well-known facility, and decided immediately that The Terrace was our choice. Moving our--our treasure--to a facility where she would receive the 24/7 care and amenities no one person in our family could provide was very difficult. The staff at The Terrace helped us all adjust. It made us happy to hear our mom say, They treat me like a mom. They have done everything possible within safety guidelines--which we appreciate-- for us communicate with and about our mom during COVID. We are thankful for The Terrace. We never have to worry about our mom.

I offer my unreserved recommendation to send your loved one to The Terrace at Mountain Creek. The staff is attentive and empathetic. My mother continually expresses how much she appreciates the care she receives on a daily basis. Even in the time of COVID-19, the folks at the The Terrace have handled the situation with a client-based approach to health care with a focus on safety.

Our mother has been in memory care at The Terrace for over a year, and our experience has been very good. The food is excellent and is served in a dining room fashion, the staff treats our mother like a mom, as our mother says, and we dont worry about her being there. Communication from administration is excellent, and they are quick to respond to questions.

I would recommend this community to anyone. I have been in it many times, the staff is very helpful, the Executive Director always greets us and it has a warm feeling of being home. We have attended several events that The Terrace has had and everyone has been just great to us. We go and visit often and I cant say we have ever had a bad experience. There has been some staff turnover (as there is everywhere) but it seems it has been for the best. We noticed the maintenance department was never anywhere to be found before and our friends who live there seemed to be upset that their requests to have things done by the maintenance department were not being met. The Terrace has hired a new Maintenance Director and he is all over the building and between him and Kevin they are getting the place back on its feet and attending to the needs the building requires.I believe good things as happening at The Terrace and they are only going to get better. Kudos to the department heads at The Terrace!! You are doing a great job!!

Great place, moved my parents in back in January 2018, they love it here, the staff is awesome, great communication , great care and some really good hearted people that greatly show their dedication to the care and respect of the residents. Food is great and fees are right-priced in respect to what they are receiving as senior residents. 5 Stars !

Lindsay Stiffler who recently gave a 5 star review is the regional marketing director for discovery senior living who owns the terrace. Very unethical! They are so concerned about their poor ratings they are writing bogus reviews. Google her name. Notice all the old photos in her post. She had a lovely complimentary lunch. Where? Not at the terrace. They are serving raw food and drinks in bowls because they have run out of glasses. Please bring your loved ones somewhere else. This place is severely understaffed and making some very serious medication errors right now. They don’t have enough aides or nurses. They are on the third executive director in a year. Residents are being neglected.

This is the best facility I have ever had a loved one in residence. In fact, I had two loved ones in it at one time. They helped my husband and me through some of the most stressful times imaginable, even through the passing of them both only two weeks apart. We have had personal experience with multiple nursing home/rehab facilities and also with one of the well known assisted living facility in Northwest Georgia. The Terrace at Mountain Creek is the Best we have ever had to deal with. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the entire staff treated the residents, or as they called them their family. Everyone from the administrative staff, the head nurses, the nursing and medical assisting staff, to the kitchen staff were absolutely AMAZING!!!The Head Nursing staff were always available, no matter what day or time of day or night, to answer any question or check on any issue that would arise. They were always interested in what we had to say and able to give knowledgeable answers to any question we asked. The nursing and medical assistant staff cant be beat! They always went ABOVE AND BEYOND! They made sure their family had everything they needed, attended to every request, were very in tune with each person there, and paid attention to each need of every resident there no matter how great or small. And, they were also caring to us, including us into their family. The entire nursing staff were WONDERFUL! We will never be able to say enough good about the love and care given by the nursing staff here. No matter if it was the staff for the aged Assisted Living resident or the unique staff it takes to care for those in the Advanced Care area - they were GREAT!The kitchen and help staff were MAGNIFICENT! They always made sure their family were happy and, if they werent, they figured out what was wrong and tried their best to fix it. If one of their family did not eat, they would set down beside them, fix them anything that they could get them to eat, help them eat, and - most of all - they were the friend that each person needed to make them have a reason to eat and live. They brought smiles to faces that came in afraid, lost, angry, or sad. They kept the smiles on those that already knew they would be taken care of and made happy. They even cared enough about their family to check on them before or after their work hours. The administrative staff is knowledgeable and also very caring. They dont just do your admittance, they make sure that their family is cared for properly and happy throughout their time at the Terrace. Our time here was quite extended, so this is not just from being there for a few weeks or a couple of months, we were there long enough to know that what I am posting is true. The administrative staff was always there for any question or comment, they helped in every stage of the process including several in-facility moves that were necessary to follow the levels of care both parents required. Best of all, they are real people that have parents and loved ones of their own and treat each resident as they would hope theirs would be treated in the same situations. The administrative staff is an EXCELLENT group of people to work with.If I could give advise to anyone that is looking for a place for themselves or their loved ones for something as simple as a place to live their life out in a nice apartment of their own, where they can live independent without the need to worry about having to get groceries, cook their own meal, or do their own laundry, and be able to live their life out, even until the end, this is a place you definitely want to think about.Or, if like us, you need a place immediately, not sure where to go or what to do - I absolutely encourage you to make the Terrace one of your top choices. Most of all, make sure you are happy with your choice because it literally is a Life Choice! Go to the Terrace, talk to the staff, talk to the families, talk to the people. The Terrace at Mountain Creek was the right choice for us and we feel it will be the right choice for you.

Need cash? Looking for a way to speed up that inheritance? The Terrace at Mountain Creek is your place! Where Grandma can get a cocktail of medications she wasn’t even prescribed! Is she taking narcotics? Are you concerned about her becoming addicted? No worries, she’ll probably never see them. Are you worried about Grandpa abusing the staff now that he has dementia? Have no fear! The Terrace employs staff who have been arrested for assault, so they know how to handle themselves! Stop by today for a tour… the facilities are currently being renovated and lipstick on a pig never looked so good. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the 420-friendly car in the back parking lot.. it’s the one with the revolving door of employees (which might explain why it takes an hour to get served in the dining room).

Our mother is no longer there!!!

This facilty must be in a downsize or shutdown mode. With the recent director(Cathy) threatening to discharge residents that need attention and alienating their families..that is the only direction I can see this facility headed. Please look in your contract that any resident can be discharged for no cause. Employees are being terminated or demoralized. Just ask residents about recent lack of services. Maybe the corporation has sent the right person if the facilty is not profitable and they need to eliminate it from their portfolio.

Her bathroom looks like a filthy gas station bathroom.
