I just recently started working for Cedar Pointe Health and wellness. I can honestly say that this is one one of the best places I have worked in my 20+ years as a nurse. The staff here is amazing, caring, and professional! I feel so appreciated and supported. The residents are very happy and love the staff caring for them. If you are looking for a place to bring your loved one, I highly recommend Cedar Pointe! The management team is a great group of people that truly cares about the staff and the residents here. We are like a big family here and that is so important in our line of work.

Cedar point health and wellness suites is filled with compassionate, attentive staff who’s number one priority is our loved ones care. With these uncertain times, it is comforting to see the consistent thorough care this facility has maintained to keep our family member, and all residents safe and healthy. Caring for the elderly is a labor of love, thank you Cedar Pointe staff members for all you do. God bless cedar pointe health and wellness suites!

Great facility and caring staff. My mother has been a resident for two weeks and I’m amazed daily at the staffs helpfulness and friendly attitude. From Dr Roy to the nurses and aides and front office staff, they have assisted me with all the paperwork and made her transition work smoothly! I’ve read all reviews and can’t imagine anyone not appreciating what the staff is doing. A big thanks to Hanna who screens us every visit to ensure residents and staff stay healthy!

As a traveling, visiting nurse, I have been to many, many, many facilities. I recently visited Cedar Pointe for the first time and was extremely impressed with the staff. From the receptionist, to the random person who offered to walk me to where I was going, to the CNAs, to the charge nurse, to others I spoke with - their baseline is set at above and beyond, which is something I rarely see in a facility. Busy? Yes, but busy and happy. This, to me, speaks volumes about the leadership & management who have provided such an environment to empower their staff, whichnof course translates into better patient care. Just wonderful!

We had heard that Cedar Point Health and Wellness was an amazing place to recover and get stronger at. (My Mom was sent there for recovery after a major spinal infection and a UTI that caused her to fall down the stairs.) She had a rectal tube in the hospital becauae of massive bowel upset due to the antibiotics, so afterwards she had difficulty controlling her bowels while everything was adjusting back to normal. The nurses and aids were unprofessional about how they handled it. They made my Mom cry. She has called me a couple times crying because of their neglect and unprofessional treatment of her. They are massive Liars. The nurses have attitudes. They lied to us about about my moms care. They lied to us and her insurance about her level of cooperation with therapy. They claimed she was uncooperative but in reality she was cooperating. I even listened in on her talking to the nurses who even stated that she had been working hard in her therapy. The care management team told me that she would not go to the bathroom unless she was wheeled in to the bathroom in the wheelchair. This was false. She has never used the wheelchair while in the facility. (She has always used her walker.) The wheelchair was simply left there after an outing to an appointment. The nurse she talked to even agreed, she used her walker to the bathroom. They made up falsified reports that sabotaged my moms care. They lied to her insurance. They dont have the ability to feed diabetics. (Its not hard to feed a diabetic.) Someone had a vendetta against my mom, possibly because she needed so much help the first week out of the hospital. Another incident was two nurses who transfered her from one bed to another during her first week dropped her on the new bed and fell on her. (My mom has only a mesh around her spine. The hardware and screws had to be removed due to the infection.) They could have crippled my mom with their negligence. They never made out a report that they had hurt my Mom during the transfer to the new bed, and another nurse was nasty to my Mom when she was told about it. Calling my Mom a liar to her face. According to them, if there is no report it did not happen. My mom is very much against telling lies. She does not lie. They have neglected her, left her food sitting in the hall, made her wait over three hours for her pain medicine which is directed as needed, made her feel less than human, bullied her, and they dont listen to family. I am my mothers care taker. I know her better than any doctors or nurses. Cedar Point wouldnt listen that she wasnt on enough pain medicine and that she was on a certain dosage at home. She was supposed to have 4 weeks. It was cut into 2 weeks because of their unprofessionlism and lies. Do not send anyone to this facility!I am sure they will reply to this review with a generic message. There is no fixing the damage that Cedar Point has caused. She will be coming home on Saturday. She should have had 2 more weeks to build more strength.

My mother is a resident at Cedar Pointe after a long bout recovering from Meningitis of the brain. She was there for rehab and then moved to the resident side. The staff is kind and helpful. The admin staff, Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Therapists, Nurse aids, Activity Director, Maintenance, and CNAs are great people. They work hard everyday to keep my mom well, calm and comfortable. The staff know their residents and this matters to me! The administrative staff has had a few turn overs, no facility is perfect, but they are professional and try to assist if you need them. They implemented policies to protect the residents from COVID19 right away. All the teams have worked hard to protect the residents from COVID19 infections successfully. The building is very clean and the grounds are lovely. . I recommend this facility if you are looking.

My Grandmother was checked in to Cear Pointe for a short-term rehab stay. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, they have private bathrooms and large picture windows. The staff was so nice and accomodating, every time we called someone answered (even weekends and evenings) and they are always very kind and helpful on the phone. Grounds are lovely and everything is kept sparkling clean. I would not hesitate to use Cear Pointe again, the only thing is they often have a long waiting list.

An absolute horrible experience. Every member of the staff is rude and condescending. They approved my mother’s stay then were unable to handle her level of care and sent her to the hospital against the families wishes. The ER doctor actually called me confused as to why my mother was sent to him. When I came back to pick up my mother’s personal items the front desk was nasty to me. Sarcastic and spiteful. I can’t imagine ever sending anyone I care about to this place. If you care about someone, do not send them here.
