I saw Dr. Godara recently for my annual eye exam. She is highly credentialed and has the years of experience necessary for dealing with someone with my medical history; therefore, I have confidence in her abilities. She is friendly, open, and communicates well. She is also caring, answering additional questions that I had. The facility is very nice and the staff that I interacted with were professional.

Took both my daughters for their first eye exams and had a wonderful experience. The front office staff was very kind and helpful. We didnt wait long for our appointment. The assistant who helped was very friendly, and Dr. Nguyen was exceptional. He gave quick but thorough exams, made sure to answer any questions I had, and was very kind to my girls.I have seen people complain about wait times in their reviews, but we did not experience this. We did have an 8 am appointment, the first for the day, so maybe this was the reason. But I also didnt notice a lot of people waiting around when we left either. Will definitely be taking my family back to Texan Eye in Cedar Park for our eye care.

I called to make an appt, and little did i know the receptionist worked me in as an emergency visit the next morning. Wish i had known that so I could have waited. Being an emergency appt meant i got to pay $100 to sit in the waiting room for 50 minutes, see the doctor for about 5 minutes, get a prescription that didnt resolve my issue, and then have to see a different doctor for another $100 a month later. No thanks.

I saw Dr. Godara due to an eye injury. She was thorough, answered additional questions, and was friendly. Her assistant was great. The lady at the front desk was professional but appeared busy and rushed as she handed me and explained the initial paperwork. Overall, the place is nice and the staff that I interacted with were professional. I took off a star because the wait was longer than expected (about 30 mins).

Went in for an hour appointment. I left 2-1/2 hours later. And was charged for them writing a prescription for new glasses!!! I have no complaints with the staff and doctor - but the office management needs to reconsider how they are scheduling appointments. Had I known this was an issue, I would have chosen somewhere else. They are also behind the times in providing digital information - emailing out patient information forms to be filled out before you come in - such a time waster having to fill out when you got there. ! I was told that they dont email patients - what?!!

Wait times are extraordinarily long and they charge extra just to have someone write down your contact lens prescription for you. They call it refitting, despite the fact that the prescription is identical to last year. Have had positive experiences at other Texan Eye locations but cannot recommend this location at all.

On my first visit I found this office to be well organized and efficient. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. I was taken back and seen quickly. I saw Dr. Branch and he gave me answers in no time flat. I found Dr. Branch both personable and professional. The office itself is really quite beautiful. It’s huge! I will definitely be returning for my regular monitoring. As a medical professional myself, I highly recommend Texan Eye Cedar Park.

Do not expect quick service from this location. I wish that I had checked yelp, before calling. I picked this location in Cedar Park, because they open at 8am. I called at that time and I tried to get as early an appointment as possible for my son who was poked in the eye by his 2 year old sister. At first, they claimed that they could not see him until after 10 am. When pressed, they scheduled him at 9:30am. We arrived at 9:20am and began filling out paperwork. When we provided them with the insurance card that had my son listed on it, they said that he wasn’t showing up as active in spite of being listed on the card. They also said that if it did not get resolved we would have to private pay for the visit. I had already filled out the paperwork and signed that I would take responsibility for paying for the visit. I sat down to wait for my son to be called back for his appointment. While I was waiting, I called my insurance to inquire about the status of my son. They confirmed that he appeared to have been deactivated. They referred me to my spouse’s HR. I spoke with them and they determined a clerical mistake had been made by them when updating discounts and my son had been deactivated from the account. They immediately reactivated him. By this time, I was beginning to seriously question why my son had not been called back for his 9:30 appointment. The desk staff said that they did not even put his chart up to inform the doctor of his arrival until after the insurance cleared. More than an hour and a half after arrival, we were finally called back from the waiting room. My son was briefly assessed by a technician, then we were left to wait again in a back room. The back room we were left to wait in was very cold. My ten year old son commented that we went from waiting to waiting. If we are going to be waiting for more than thirty minutes in a back room without being seen after waiting for more than an hour an a half in a waiting room, there should be some form of entertainment for children in the back room.

2 years ago we brought our 15 year old daughter to Texan Eye Cedar Park for an eye exam, she had been saying she couldnt see the board in school. She was seen by a very nice and clearly young ( newer ) doctor. During this appointment she was told she needed progressive bifocals. We didnt question the diagnosis at the time and went on our way to pay for very expensive progressive bifocals ( not at Texan Eye )Earlier this year my husband went for a routine eye exam and to find out what his current prescription should be. He stated on his forms that over the part few years he had suffered 2 very serious eye injuries ( one on each eye. The tech came in and very quickly proceeded to use the machines and ask which view looked better, without really waiting very long for a response and also without mentioning that this was in fact the results that would solely determine his prescription. The doctor then came in, looked in each eye for less than 5 seconds and said, Okay your prescription will be out front. No conversation, no mention of his previous injuries, no mention of his astigmatisms.Today my daughter returned for a routine visit and to make sure that her prescription was still the same as she lost her previous glasses, the new doctor today stated that he had NO IDEA why she was ever told she needed progressive bifocals at all !!!!!!! He wrote her a new prescription, which is fine, and then we were told we would need to come back another day for contact lenses because they didnt have enough time today. My husband was in the waiting room the entire time, there were no other patients in the office, and none had come in while he was waiting. There is also a sign in the waiting room announcing another doctor is leaving.Needless to say I am disappointed all the way around. I will be cancelling my future appointment and not bringing my family back.It seems as if Texan Eye is a training ground for new doctors. If you call the phone number be prepared to wait on hold for 2-5 minutes before someone will answer.

Had a very bad experience with my cataract surgery.I was to learn my complication ,Detached Retina, was real . I phoned Texan Eye ,all I got was the run-around for 2-3 days. Finally saw her,my doctor, at the next scheduled visit. At this visit ,I was met with new ,rude, unprofessional staff, calling me by the wrong name.I was shocked when my surgeon chose to reprimand me,the patient, for correcting her staff. My post-op complaint was serious and my surgeon totally ignored my words ,had no comment! She refereed me to another physician for a second opinion, I think because her office is not equipped to diagnose a detached retina. What else could I do,I was dumped to another physician,a very good one ,I am happy to say.

The reviews are a hit or miss for a reason. In my time being with them, there was rarely a time where I wouldnt have to leave a voicemail. The last time I called, they never even called back. I was trying to order contacts. I wasnt treated nicely by one of the staff members the last time I was there. She seemed very irritated by me. I know I was doing nothing wrong, just ordering contacts...in person because they didnt call back soon at all.I have switched away from them now. I wish them the best in their improvements.

I am a long time customer of Texan Eye. I recently went to the Cedar Park office for the first time and had a great experience. The office personnel, the technicians, and the doctor were all very professional and personable. I have referred two coworkers to Texan Eye - specifically Dr. Julia Sargent at the Balcones location - and they are both very happy with the treatment received.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the second year in a row in which I was given a prescription that was way too high. This year they were rude and not very helpful in resolving the issue. The first lady I talked to told me to call back later and talk to someone else. The second was not much better but, I was offered the option to just go back to my old prescription but, they could only fax, snail mail or paper copy it. This day in age who doesnt offer an email option. I know they have that fancy printer/scanner. How hard is it to scan the paper copy and email it. Also, he did not give me a prescription at my appointment so how was that going to be resolved?

Customer service and digital breakdown.I had an appointment scheduled and confirmed. I received five communications, three via email and two via text. Come to find out this location decided to close early for a holiday party and attempted to cancel all of their appointments on 12.16 after 2:00PM.It’s clear to me this chain has an operations mgmt problem and does not know much about digital or software. A shame given Austin’s Tech focus. If they want to close cool, but then shut down your marketing and appointment automation. Also, please do not tell me you tried to get ahold of me to cancel if I am still being told I have an appointment.Recommendation: clear your staff in ops and hire people that know your systems. I was made to feel like I was in the wrong and they did not send email or text reminders. Note, you do!!The facility was very nice, the glasses looked designer, and someone is clearly spending a considerable amount of money on the offices.Last comment, I booked my appt. not more than two weeks before it was supposed to happen. If you are going to close at 2:00 you might want to do that a bit ahead of time. I was one of many that were frustrated and will never be a customer of Texan Eye.Happy Holdays Y’all!

Worst experience I ever had. Came in to have my niece get an eye appointment and to see if I can get an eye appointment and they said I needed to be referred by a doctor. They then asked if I had insurance and when I showed it to her they wouldn’t let me set up an appointment still. They were rude and had an attitude towards me and my niece.

I would give this place a 0 stars if I could. Had a horrible experience and I dont think I will ever go back. The ladies in the optical are NOT knowledgeable at all. They always seem short handed every time I go. Whenever I go it takes forever to be assisted sometimes. I picked out some glasses and the lady did not even bother to take my pupillary distance. My glasses were extremely messed up. She forced me to getting polarized sunglasses which were so horrible it was so hard to see out of them. (FYI) Contrary to popular belief Polarization does NOT help protect your eyes from UV rays. Done lots of research on this. Their glasses are way over priced. And I mean WAAAYYY over priced. They want to make $ of course. No matter what the insurance covers you are still having to pay out of pocket so much money just to cover a single pair of glasses. This place has the worst customer service. Not to mention the lady at the counter who is also extremely rude when you first walk in. I cant remember her name she wears big glasses and has a rude tone of voice. They need to replace her. Overall my experience is absolutely horrible with the entire place. I would rather pay out of pocket and receive better service than that somewhere else. I am extremely disappointed. Do not be fooled by this place. It only looks nice from the outside. And do not waste your money either with them.

I loved this place! I’ve been a customer with Texaneye for about a decade now in Bastrop and was sad to hear they consolidated to just a few locations, but after a bad set of glasses from another store, I decided to make the trip from Bastrop to Cedarpark and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, well staffed, and very accommodating. 10/10 customer for life.

My review is for the optical center. This is the first time I visited Texan Eye. I really wish I had read the reviews on Yelp before choosing to go to Texan Eye - however, I will say that I was extremely pleased with Dr Kerns, her assistant, and the front desk staff. They were all very pleasant, my appointment time was on time, and Dr Kerns was very patient, I felt that she truly cared about me.I had a very poor experience with the optical center at the Cedar Park location. I have very bad vision and its usually a little challenging to fit me for eyeglasses, I will admit that, but I am never snarky or impatient with opticians. The experience I had is a long story and I wont explain all the details, but in short my glasses needed to be returned to the lab twice. The manager must have been unable to clearly communicate the correct instructions to the lab they use and after 8 weeks we all decided to part ways with a refund. I have a really good feeling that they didnt send my glasses back to the lab on the 2nd occasion and actually just left my glasses sit in their office for 3 weeks until I called asking for an update, because when I went in to pick them up they were in the exact same condition they were in the very first time I picked them up, and the 1st change was gone. In fact the manager of the optical center told me directly that she would not send my glasses back to the lab again if I wasnt satisfied again. I really feel like she never returned them to the lab that 2nd time just to be snarky. So after 8 weeks Im still without my new prescription which is very frustrating. It seems like the employees of the optical center are on an island and arent managed professionally, its as if they think this is their own business and they can do whatever they want to do without regard to the impact on the business. I usually buy 2 pairs of glasses every 2 years and its usually about $1,000, my out of pocket cost, then there is insurance that is filed, so the revenue to the optical center is usually about $1,300. The financial impact on Texan Eye from just me is about that, in addition to the review I am placing here, as well as my word of mouth. As a small business owner myself, I would highly recommend investing in good employees because they are your whole business.Delete review
